Cusinart, good quality
This is my second DLC-10.The only reason for replacement is because the bowl cracked and it became cost effective to just make a machine rerplacement.I have all the disks and such and like the machine very much as I have had it for 20 years.

I have been using a Hamilton Beach processor for the past few years because it was a gift and I didn't want to spend the money to buy my own. Am I glad I did! There's a reason everyone uses the word Cuisinart when referring to a food processor. No one else should even try to produce one. In the case of this food processor, it comes down to that old saying: "you get what you pay for." You have to spend a little more money but you get a lot more product!

Fast, Easy, Very Good Buy! Works Great!Safety Features Not a Problem.
I bought this for my mother-in-law to use to make meals for her mother who is 90 years old and can no longer wear dentures.It is amazing!"Grandmother" can now eat regular foods just like us.I've pureed everything from hotdogs, to vegetables, to meats, to french fries for her and she really enjoys the food!I've also used it to make homemade whipped cream, cucumber veggie chips (for my dehydrator), banana nut bread, salads, coleslaw, and cheese dip for the rest of us.It shreds a block of cheese in about 30 seconds.The first time I tried to use the machine, it did not work and only by looking at the instructions again, did I realize it was because I had the bowl on backwards.Once I put it on the correct way, it worked fine.I'm happy about the safety features because I had to get stitches a few years ago after cutting my fingers on a handheld blender because I was tired and not paying attention.I like knowing that the cuisinart will not start if I have assembled it incorrectly.Unlike one of the other reviewers, I haven't experienced a "wait time" to use the Cuisinart if I have assembled it incorrectly and have to reassemble it.There is also no worrying about lining anything up correctly. You just have to make sure you have the bowl on with the handle facing the push buttons because otherwise the push top cannot lock in.This is very easy and within a few uses you will immediately recognize which way to assemble the cuisinart. Like the other reviewers said, Keep it out on your kitchen counter and you will use it more often. Cleanup is pretty easy. I've washed it in the dishwasher with no problems.The 14 cup size is perfect for a family of 4 or more, and really even if you are only cooking for 2, this is still a great machine.I like cooking extra food so I have leftovers for later.Fast and Easy! I'm very happy I decided to spend the money.I highly recommend this product.

I'm a professional chef, but I've made do for years with a Black and Decker food processor at home, while using the far sturdier Cuisinart or Robocoup at work. Maybe it wasn't a big deal because I work pretty fast with a knife so I really don't use any food processor very much, but I finally took the plunge and went first class, the Cuisinart. The B&D worked great, and at <$40 bucks 10 years ago, I've gotten more than my money's worth and still felt it had enough life to pass it along to a friend, but just looking at the stainless steel Cuisinart sitting on my counter makes me happy. Best food processor out there
I've been a Kitchen Aid customer for 12 years.I own at 12 year Kitchen Aid foor processor, and recently rec'd this one for a housewarming gift.Kitchen Aid is one of the few companies out there making a quality product.In the 12 years that I've owned my food processor, never had any maintenance on it, nothing has ever broken, and it is used at least once a week.I would still be using it if we hadn't received a new one. My new one is gorgeous!It makes quick work of chopping, grating, even mixing from time to time.Definately a worthwhile investment and great product.

Built like a tank
This is a heavy duty processor with an industrial strength motor. It slices, it dices, it chops. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.The unit is well made.Highly recommended.

Now I'm a Believer
When my girlfriend recieved this for her birthday (she's a long time believer in the Cuisinart) I knew it would be an upgrade from my modest hand me down food processor, but I was blown away.First off it weighs a ton, which really means something with motors.The weight was put to good use, as it effortlessly mowed through food, and it did so with a delicacy that makes food so enjoyable (I ate enough pulverized crap as an infant, so I appreciate foods with texture, and the sharp blades make sure things stay the way they should).I never thought the difference between a regular food processor and a Cuisinart would be so dramatic, but it is.The 7 cup capacity is easily sufficient for a couple adults (I imagine you could throw in a few kids for good measure), and the included blades tend to most uses.It can allegedly do a good job mixing cakes and kneading dough, and based on its overall performance, I believe it, but I'd rather use my Kitchenaid mixer for that.

The Neatest Little Machine Ever
The bowl and drive-post sleeve of my 26-year-old Cuisinart food processor have finally developed cracks so I started looking for a new one. Since I no longer need a full-size processor, I decided to try the DFP-3 Handy Prep. It arrived just a few days after my order was placed with Amazon and I am delighted with it. It's sturdy, heavy base fits into a small space on the countertop and it chops and shreds as efficiently as the full-size machine for a fraction of the price. I love it.

This is our first food processor. Did a lot of looking before making this purchase. It's easy to use and clean.Made Salsa with our garden fresh tomatoes the day it arrived.Makes slicing a breeze.Great price from Amazon!No complaints of any kind!

Good product, Good Value
This is a significant improvement over the 750 model. The 750 model was not very well designed. The first one we purchased broke within 3 days because the blade came up and hit the plastic. We returned this. We got the 760 to replace that. The 760 has been redesigned to avoid this problem. For the same price as the 750, the 760 comes with one extra bowl,juicer and egg whisk. Compared with others like the Cuisinart and we determined that this was much better constructed.

Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Processor
I am delighted with the processor. I like that the blades and attachments all fit within the bowl when not in use. While it does not come with all the specialty blades the more expensive processors offer, it has everything I routinely use. It is exactly what I need and you can't beat the price.

Great machine for a super price
The Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Food Processor is wonderful. We are raw foodists and use this machine at least twice a day. It is easy to use, pretty quiet, doesn't walk all over the counter because of suction cup feet, easy to clean. The large mouth makes it so easy to just about anything in the processor, too.

I really like the way that this food processor performs. I thought when I took it out of the box that it would be a little difficult to work but it turns out that it is very easy to use.

Poor quality --poor support
The Duet served my wife and I well for more than a year. Then, like many others are reporting, the spindle broke on the base unit. I contacted Cuisinart, but they don't make a replacement. So we had a pitch a basically good unit but lack of this tiny replacement part.
Cheap but Poor Quality
I bought this item, thinking, like others, that the Cuisineart name meant quality.The blender broke about within about 6 months, but I kept on using the food processor.Light use, I might add.Just a few days ago, the food processor broke -- the plastic food bin snapped.This has been one of the most disappointing purchases I've made.Plus, it is unbelievably LOUD.I'm in the market for a more expensive, sturdy, reliable processor.You get what you pay for.

Whisper Quiet and powerful food processor
For years now, I have had my eye on KitchenAid products, namely their prominent stand mixers.So when the need for a GOOD food processor became a reality for me, I first looked at KitchenAid, and not much further.In comparison to other professional-styled food processor, the KitchenAid has a solid feel, the base is weighted nicely and the components fit together very well.
A must have for every kitchen
After comparing the various food processors in store and online from the reviews my decision was very simple: I went with the KitchenAid over the Cuisinart.After having used it several times I am very happy with my purchase.First made a marinara and used the shredder for the carrots and that went so fast and smooth I was in disbelief.Then I reassembled it with the main blade and threw in the tomatoes, onion and garlic and everything was minced down to almost a puree status almost immediately with very little sound.A dead bang winner in my book.

11 Cup Pro is the original, classic food processor
I have owned a Pro Custum 11 for over 18 years and it still works great. Last week I used the dough recipe from "The Best Bread Ever" by Charles Van Over "Great homemade bread using your food processor." The machine worked great! I retarded the dough in the fridge for a little over a day and had artesan bread pizza crust that was terrific. I also grated a half pound of cheese in just a few seconds and avoided using my knuckle buster grater! Par boil some potatoes until a little soft, shred these with a quarter of an onion and you have wonderful hash browns in no time that are fresh instead of frozen. Etc. Etc.
Cuisinart or KitchenAid?
I am the unfortunate owner of a Kitchenaid 11 cup processor (I rated the Cuisinart 5 stars, but I really do not know).Seeing all the negative comments below about the Cuisinart, I sadly have to respond that all the flaws of the Cuisinart apply equally to the KitchenAid.Despite using the KitchenAid sparingly and with care, I have broken 2 bowls (at $40 + $9 S&H each) and one lid at $20 + S&H.Although the KitchenAid motor is well made, the plastic bowls are flimsy and poorly designed.In addition the bowl leaks down the side if liquid is blended.The lid is exceedingly hard to clean.Consequently, I am thinking of replacing my KitchenAid with the Cuisinart.

I purchased a 14-cup Cuisinart some years ago.I have had nothing but trouble.First the handle stuck while I was kneading dough and I barely was able to pry it off.Then I had problems with the stem.When I tried to get a new one from customer service they told me that they were no longer servicing my older model and suggested I buy a new Cuisinart!Stay away from Cuisinart!I'm looking into Kitchen Aid for my new processor. ... Great little food processor!
This machine is beautiful in red, it looks great on my counter.The machine works perfectly, when I pulse it gently pulses the items slowly and gives me a perfect chop.I used this with mushrooms and onions and celery and each item was chopped to perfection as I orchestrated the pulses.Then I took some eggs and put them in with some chopped basil and hit the on button and voila beautiful whipped eggs.This is a great machine.I have even got perfectly ground almonds and graham cracker crumbs.Buy this beautiful little jewel.It works great and makes minimum noise.

So quite it doesn't work.
I gave this product one star since it was delivered on time and in the correct color.After reading all the included reading material, I carefully cleaned every piece and attempted to turn the processor on, and nothing happened.You could imagine my disappointment knowing my cheesecake might not be made that day.Immediately I called Kitchen Aid customer service who prommised to send out a new machine within 7-10 working days.It is getting close to the 10 day mark.I really wanted that cheesecake.Coming from the manufacturer I am optimistic it will arrive in working condition.

Cuisinart DLC 2007N prep 7 7-cup food processor
I just love this food processor.I have been waiting a long time to purchase a food processor.I had another cheaper brand food processor, and it was just terrible.This Cuisinart is just perfect.I will use it often I am sure.Consumer reports rates this right up there at the top, and it certainly is.The 7-cup size is just perfect for a family of two now.Glad I purchased this great processor.

as much as i love my kitcheaid stand mixer, this food processor is wonderful!!it is quiet and i use it to make icing instead of using my mixer.it chops and slices and shreds and whips....i shredded a dozen zuchinni in less than 2 minutes.the 4 cup bowl makes a great miniprocessor.

Well it's not a Cuisinart, but for $70 it's a pretty good machine for large jobs that don't require much finesse. So far it's done spendidly making cheesecake batter, pureeing soups, grating carrots and making a large batch of surprisingly good bread dough, including whole grain. It doesn't work very well for things that need to have a uniform, but not pureed, texture, such as tuna salad and guacamole. The rubber suction feet are a great idea and it's a cinch to pry up the machine and move it. It fits fine under the cabinets and is quite attractive, in a retro sort of way. The bowl, cover and blades are easy to use and clean in the dishwasher. The control switch, which is a dial surrounded by a very cool circular light, is simple and sensible. The motor is noisy and the machine sounds like it is working hard, but we haven't experienced any mechanical problems. So far, it's given us more than our money's worth.

Don't buy the hype
After reading the reviews on this, I thought why not? Should make cooking easier. Apparently, I should have only read one review ,which is listed and that is the one titled, "Not what I expected" or maybe it is just the two of us. Every complaint in his review was accurate.

Bought at Target--and it was already used!!!!!
I had been researching processors for a while and was on a limited budget so I went with this one ($30 on sale). I got home so excited to check it out and it had a starnge discoleration on the blade shaft. I went on to investigate it and realized there was sticky, gross food all over it!!! OUTRAGEOUS! Then I plugged it in, and of course it didn't work. I don't know what the people who owned it before me did to it, but it obviously couldn't take it.
Not a good buy
Don't waste your money with this one.Yes, it is cheap.... but it is cheap in every sense of the word.The very first time I used it, a part of the chute broke off.I could still use it though, although food crumbs sometimes got everywhere.Today, a mere 6 months after purchasing, the small plastic part of the shredding attachment broke off completely.This made my processor completely unable to shred or slice anything.The chopper still works, but it's such a hassle to use I think I will just trash it and get a different model, from a different brand.

Nice food processor for your basic needs at a great price
I bought this about 3 months ago for my mom, and so far we haven't had any problems.Overall, I am satisfied with the product.We use it to puree, knead and grind things.The large capacity bowl is just the perfect size.I haven't used the slicing blade yet, but I guess the chill lid is useful to collect the sliced stuff outside.The mouth is a bit small unless you don't mind cutting up things to feed through the mouth.If it were up to me, I would change the design and make it less bulky and easier to store. I like the big mouth food processors that don't have the control on the side, taking up less space.But for $25, this is a pretty good one and functions quite well.If you buy it, make sure the bowl and the lid are well "locked" in place before you power on the unit, otherwise it won't run. ... Extremely Disappointed
I purchased this blender just over a year ago and it is already broken. The motor has malfunctioned in a severe way. If I hold the base upside-down, the motor will run but sparks fly out of it. Due to the inability to blend upside-down and the fear of sparks, this appliance is now useless junk. I contacted Hamilton Beach to try and get some satisfaction but they claimed it must have broke because I did not know how to use it. How hard would it have been to work with me instead of blaming me? Very disappointed in this product and I will now look for a new blender that is actually a quality product.

Don't buy this for the food processor
This product was a nice idea in theory, but in practicality it only works well as a blender.The food processor is really not useful for anything except maybe rough dicing.The larger pieces of food tend to not be circulated to where the blade rotates, while the smaller pieces of food get stuck where the blade isand you end up with every uneven particles.The blender, however, is good enough by my standards.It has nice thick glass and is fine for crushing ice and making smoothies.

Spend your money on separate blender & food processor
I bought this item thinking I could save space by having both blender & food processor and that is true that you could save space. But I forgot to see the negative part of it. If somethig happens to the motor you will lose both blender & food processor. And thats what happened to me :-( . The motor just stopped working and here I am in search for another food processor & blender. This time I sure will buy separate blender & food processor.

It's More Valuable Than I thought
The Food processor has many many organized accessories that were sent with the purchase. I know I was buying a good brand but it was not just a good product it's an Excellent food processor and worth more than the money. My wife LOVES you know guys waht that means. Also it has a juice maker not mentioned in the add woooow. The seller was more than Excellent.

Sturdy but poorly designed, difficult to clean
I've been using this food processor for a few months now and have noticed several things about it.First being that it's really sturdy, all the pieces and bowls seem like they'll last forever.
Great machine.
I bought this two weeks ago and returned last week for replacement. So why I am still giving it a 5? Well I used for four times and it work great. Much better then my Cuisinart DLC-2011 Prep 11 plus on Pasta Dough making. Because the Cuisinart DLC-2011 Prep 11 plus dough blade will lift up and it will not hold in place. Which give me so much headache I got to stop many time to push it down. The KitchenAid never have such problem. Beside it is much more powerful. So why am I return it for replacement and not for return? Because last Sunday when I use it the dough blade got stuck. I can't remove it from the base. So I return it for replacement but I really love this machine and even the blade for some reason can't be remove I still want to give it a second try. I hope it is because I was unlucky and got the only bad one. Since I also didn't see any other people complain about the blade stuck problem. And I do see other complained the Cuisinart DLC-2011 Prep 11 plus dough blade life up problem. ... Read more
