The Aerolatte Travel coffee press performs several functions at the same time. First, it brews coffee with a simple plunger action like a French press. Secondly, it has a tight-fitting lid with a no-spill drinking aperture for taking coffee on the road. Lastly, its insulated walls act like a thermos to keep coffee hot. (Incidentally, this last function addresses a common complaint about French press pots, which are usually made of glass and do not conserve heat well.) This is a great small gift for an avid coffee drinker. Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars No Way!Sent it Back!
I own a typical glass french press, which works great.I was willing to try this one because of the traveling capability.I would not purchase this again, and actually sent two back.It may have had great insulation to keep coffee warm, but it leaked grounds into the coffee! Yuck!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for Backpacking
I bought this mug/french press to use when backpacking. The outdoor stores sell something similar, but made out of plastic.I was willing to accept the extra weight for the extra durability.Plus the plastic ones can't be used as a mug.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great buy
I bought this for my boyfriend who is very picky when it comes to drinking his coffee. He loves this mug and uses it everyday. The stainless steel interior makes it so the mug doesn't continually smell like coffee, and the mug holds heat for a couple hours at a time. The build is sturdy and even fits in a car cupholder. I would definitely recommend this mug! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Near perfect small pot......but FRAGILE
This is a wonderful little tea pot.Although only 2 cups capacity the pot is easy to use and extremely well designed.Tea is placed in the infuser, off boil water poured on top and the brew process easily gauged by the clear see through design.Once the perfect steep is achieved, compress the plunger and the steeping process is terminated. The double wall design is not as efficient as a vacuum container but keeps the rather small volume more than hot enough to finish off a perfect pot.
5-0 out of 5 stars Makes the perfect cup of tea
This gem of a tea press is simple to use and keeps tea piping hot. I have used the Bodum Assam Tea Press for a few years with a few minor "could be improveds," the main one being that the tea cools down quickly, even when using a tea cosy. The Bora Bora is a huge improvement. The tea stays as hot as freshly brewed, clear, and does not get bitter. Another improvement from the Assam is the basket the loose tea goes in fits tighter and doesn't overflow when water is added. The pot is easy to clean, and is as simple to use as a tea bag. This pot is very good looking and well designed. If Bodum comes out with a four cup Bora Bora Doublewall Thermo Tea Press I will buy it as well! May be a bit pricey, but does what it is supposed to do and looks fantastic doing it. ... Read more

Editorial Review

This compact cylindrical kettle boasts a sparse post-modernist ‘70s design with some whimsical touches, such as a mystical blue-beaded lid handle and a row of raised dots hammered into the steel around its upper circumference. However, the Ottoni’s form also has a function: its slightly wider base directs heat upward so water boils 50 percent faster than in other kettles. In fact, it takes only 8 minutes to boil about 2 pints of water, although the Ottoni can hold a maximum capacity of 64 ounces or 2 quarts. The Ottoni is made of brilliantly polished stainless steel, which matches any kitchen décor, and has a lift-off lid on top for refilling with water. The handle, made of several layers of laminated mahogany, is secured with waterproof glue and sealed with lacquer to keep steam from taking a toll on its appearance. The triangular-shaped spout doesn’t have a whistle to alert you when water is boiling so it’s advised to stick close by when this teakettle is on the stove. Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars I liked it, but it had some drawbacks
I liked a number of things about this kettle:it was stainless; the opening in the top was big enough to make cleaning fairly easy; and it had a fun look.
5-0 out of 5 stars very good looking kettle
This is a very nice looking kettle.I like the thin bottom which allows the water to boil quickly. The wooden handle does become hot though. Not hot enough to burn you but I can only hold it for about 30 seconds when boiling a full pot. ... Read more

Enjoy espresso the authentic Italian way with BonJour's Café Milano's stovetop espresso maker. Like an old-fashioned percolator, this handsome modern espresso maker forces hot water through ground coffee to produce deep, rich, satisfying espresso. With cream or without? That's up to you. BonJour's signature knob--charmingly shaped like an oversize coffee bean--graces the lid and adds a bit of fun to your morning espresso. Keep your fingers far from the heat of the aluminum body with the well-designed handle that curves out yet offers a firm grip. Designed and crafted in Italy, the 6-cup Café Milano version is a good size for a couple, but families or larger groups might want to opt for the 9-cup version. Hand washing recommended. Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this item.
After returning the secong one, I will never use this brand again. The first one leaked water, and the second one just wouldn't wotk period. Save yourself the time and effort and buy another brand!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Cheap immitation made in China
Under the description says "made in Italy" but the box is marked "made in PRC". When if first starts to brew the coffee spills over the top and makes a mess. The taste of the coffee is somewhat with a "metalic" flavor and taste. Save your money for another type of stovetop espresso maker.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for those who don't mind a challenge at first
I just bought the 9-cupper and was suprised at how little it was. That's 9 cups? I said to myself. It's more like one!But espresso is supposedly taken in itty bitty cups (shot glasses with handles), hence the smallness.

Indulge your personal taste with this handy little French press coffeemaker. Use it at home or take it along to office or school and brew coffee precisely as you like it rather than settling for what you get out of the machine (shudder). Compact (7-1/2 inches high), for carrying in purse, briefcase, or backpack, but sturdy, it's made of tempered glass and durable plastic, with stainless-steel press and bands. A big handle facilitates pouring through its pert little spout. Rinse it out or run it through the dishwasher. Read more

Editorial Review

This 4-cup coffee press is so handsome, you'll want to display it frontand center on the kitchen counter, not hide it away in a cabinet. Its strikingmodern lines are a fitting tribute to Eileen Gray, the Irish designer andarchitect who adopted the cafés and salons of Paris as her home. Theelegantly patterned stainless-steel frame is easy on the eyes but also protectsthe glass jug within, and the squared handle is easy to grip even when the pressis full of boiling water. The French press brewing method prevents scorching ofthe beans, and because there's no filter involved, all of the flavorful oilsstay in the drink. Simply measure out one rounded tablespoon of coarsely groundcoffee per 4-ounce cup, pour very hot (not boiling) water over it, let thecontents brew for at least 4 minutes, then slowly depress the plunger. Thisparticular press even includes a coffee scoop and a timer to make the brewingprocess easy. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Coffee for one...
I purchased this smaller unit because I prepare coffee for one...and this works wonderfully.I think that it will be necessary to be particularly careful after removing the glass container from the metal frame for cleaning as the glass appears to be very fragile. If you provide the proper ingreditents and grind, it will really do its part to start your day. I am pleased with this purchase.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent press
I purchased this French press for my husband several weeks ago and I love it. Happy with the regular coffee maker, I had little interest in the item until I saw it in action for the first time. It's so easy to use and the flavor of the coffee is much smoother. It's also beautiful. I purchased two matching cups at the same time and they remind me of Russian tea glasses---a collecting favorite of mine. I highly recommend this all-around good buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Read the info
This is a decent unit. For those who don't take the time to read or can't understand what they read the product listing states the scoop included is for a 4 ounce cup(4 x 4 is 16).The usual sold in the US coffeemaker is a 4-6 ounces per cup capacity.Coffee instructions say usually measures are for a 6 ounce cup.A cup is not what you use or the standard liquid 8 ounce cup. Most advertised 10 and 12 cup coffeemakers hold the same total amount in the carafe. The manufacturer calcultaes what will sell. This has been going on since I bought my first coffeemaker 30 years ago. Caveat emptor! ... Read more

Editorial Review

This stainless-steel infuser is ideal for the tea drinker who loves to make one perfect cup at a time. With flanges that fit over any standard size mug or cup, the infuser stays put when hot water is added and holds loose tea leaves that won’t escape through the network of minute holes. The stainless-steel lid keeps heat in during brewing, and doubles as a drip-catching trivet under the infuser when done. Measuring 3-1/4 by 2-1/4 inches, with a flange span of 4 inches, the infuser can be washed either by hand or in the dishwasher.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I LIKE it.
I've discovered if I wet the infuser just before adding the teathe smaller particles expand and less tea "dust" falls through. This infuser is easy to clean and has a nice appearance. It can be used in either a single cup or in any teapot (of course you need to adjust the quantity of tea leaves).

3-0 out of 5 stars best for whole leaf teas
I wanted an infuser that would allow me to make a single mug of loose leaf tea at home. This item pretty much works as expected. But the holes in the side of the infuser are rather large--about 1mm.For whole leaf loose teas, that is not a problem. But for many other teas, it allows quite a bit of tea through.
4-0 out of 5 stars good infuser
This is my first infuser. I was looking for one made of stainless steel, but not those ball-shaped ones.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great press, but the new plunger sucks
The Bodum presses are great.I ordered this one to replace on old one that broke and had long had a damaged handle.I'm glad I kept my old lid/plunger, though, because it seems to work much better than the new one, which seems to have been modified by a committee of corporate lawyers. The new lid is great, but the plunger doesn't seem to go as far down (to prevent me from scalding myself should I be too vigorous, one would presume), and my coffee tasted sour. After a week of that, I switched back to the old lid/plunger--it makes much better coffee.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best cup of coffee ever...
I LOVE my French Press.Coffee tastes so much better when made with a French Press, and this one is super-easy to use.Just add a few scoops of coffee, some hot water, let it sit for a few minutes, and voila! coffee! It's the perfect size for 1-2 cups of coffee. The only improvement would be a rubber/no-slip bottom but there are other versions that have this feature. If you're looking for your first FP, this is the one to get! You won't go back to drip coffee...

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little Coffee press

Editorial Review

Nothing brews coffee or tea better than a French press, but it isn't the most convenient preparation technique, especially for ever-hurried commuters. That's why the Bodum stainless-steel travel press/tumbler is so ideal. Simply add hot water to your freshly ground coffee or whole tea leaves, and you're set. Plunge the press after another four minutes--a process you can employ on the bus, at a stoplight, or in the passenger seat--and you're ready to enjoy coffee or tea brewed in the finest manner. The coffee grounds or brewed tea leaves are safely pinned to the bottom of the mug, so you can slip open the cover to enjoy your beverage. The tumbler's vacuum-insulated, stainless-steel construction also gives it another advantage over traditional glass French presses, as it will preserve the temperature of the beverage for more than an hour. The tumbler includes a santoprene grip that encircles the exterior, letting you handle the press even when the water inside is piping hot, along with a spill-resistant lid. Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not bad if you like your coffee black, but not great either
I give this three stars because it keeps the coffee warm, and when I first got it, it made pretty decent coffee. Unfortunately, the press part has stopped reliably staying put at the end of the plunger, and so it often doesn't depress fully--the plunger depresses all the way, and the press slips. In addition, if you want to add either milk or sugar to your coffee AND drink it from your travel mug, you should get a different sort of travel mug. It hadn't occurred to me before I bought it, but not only is adding milk to the coffee difficult w/ this mug, it ends up tasting odd, perhaps because of the press, or because of the grounds still in the mug. So, if you drink your coffee black, like the french press method, and are willing to take yourchances with the plunger on this, it may be worth the money. I wouldn't get it again.

1-0 out of 5 stars Consider before purchase:
This is supposed to be a travel mug. The closure for the drinking lip attaches to the mug lid with a tension, two bar slip in slot.In three weeks of daily use the closure came off at least three times per day and finally is lost. A minor bump dislodges the closure.I wasted my money.

1-0 out of 5 stars Heed these reviews!
I had read the reviews and still ordered this cup.The first one we received, the pop top was broken. The second one lasted a week before the screw top wouldn't stay on anymore.

The vivid hues of the Monet French press will brighten up your morning toast or after-dinner coffee in style. A gleaming dome caps the traditional stainless-steel frame, and the colored handle and knob provide accent. This device boils a quart of water in just four minutes--faster than a stovetop kettle or microwave oven. Add ground coffee or tea leaves and insert the screen assembly, and it becomes a French press for making full-flavored coffee or tea. This eliminates a step--pouring boiling water and losing heat while doing so--from the usual method of preparing French press coffee or tea. The glass carafe lifts free of the power base to become a cordless server for the dining table. Designed with care, the device is durable (stainless-steel press assembly, rugged plastic) and thoughtfully engineered (steam-activated automatic shutoff when water boils, knuckle guard on carafe, cord wrap beneath base). It stands 11 inches high and carries a one-year warranty against defects. Read more
