1-0 out of 5 stars Never got it started
I wanted to like this machine and was excited to receive it. Unfortunately the top wouldn't fit properly into the base and it had to be returned. I'm ordering a different brand today.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent grinder
I was buying pre-grinded coffee in my local coffee shop, unit I bought some very nice beans. So, I decided to buy a grinder. After some research on the internet, I decided on Capresso Infinity. Now I have it for about a month and it works perfectly, grind very well, no mess whatsoever. Overall, a very very good product, that exceed my expectations. Highly reccomended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good coffee requires a good grinder!
I am delighted, and completely satisfied with my Capresso 560 cone burr grinder. After giving up on blade grinders five years ago, I had used a Capresso 551 flat burr grinder. This grinder was a great improvement and I was satisfied.Over the years, because of things that were my fault, I had to write to Capresso for help.Their response was fast, complete and satisfactory. When the 551 gave up (likely from overwork) I bought an inexpensive Melita burr grinder. On its finest setting, it would not grind nearly fine enough for my espresso machine.

Editorial Review

This smartly designed, finely tunable burr coffee grinder from Krups is built on the premise that good coffee starts with the freshest, most appropriate grind. Equipped with an expert-quality burr milling system, the machine turns out very consistent grounds with minimal heat for the best-tasting coffee. Its coarseness dial offers 17 distinct settings to create precisely the right grind for the occasion, brewing method, and kind of bean. In addition, the quantity dial, ranging from 2 to 12 cups, lets you grind no more coffee than you need, which helps preserve fresh aroma and flavor.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Pros and Cons after 10 Months of Use
After a "long term road test" of this Krups Coffee Grinder, I wanted to summarize my experience. I have used it pretty much daily. It replaced another Krups grinder (blade not burr) that I had used off and on for 20+ years.
2-0 out of 5 stars this grinder sucks.
Okay, this is the first time i've written a review, but I had to because I'm usually very easy to please.NOT this time! This grinder (for $[...]) is awful.First of all, the SECOND time i used it, the grinder was running, yet the beans wouldn't go down into the grinder and it just whizzed away (which by the way, will throw off your cups measured if it thinks it's grinding and it's not).I had to knock on it just to get the beans to grind.THEN, the even on the coarsest setting, the ground coffee was WAY too fine.Just like baby powder. It made horrible coffee that was very bitter. And don't say it's my coffee maker. It's not.Very dissapointed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, low-priced Burr Grinder
So far (about two weeks) I like this grinder better than what I came from-a blade grinder. It provides a much more consistent result than a blade grinder. The size is of the machine good not too bulky, the quality of the machine is typical of something in this price point, plastic, fairly light-weight etc. Otherwise, the fit and finish should be just fine for the everyday user. Not sure it will actually hold up for the user with 'long-term' expectations though.

Editorial Review

Fresh ground sausages, pates, meats for chili, and fish for soups can all be prepared at home with this professional quality meat grinder. Solid and sturdy, the beautiful brushed stainless-steel housing should last a lifetime. An extra-large, die-cast hopper holds a generous amount of cubed or sliced meat, which is then fed into the grinder tube with a long plastic pusher. Three metal cutting plates are included: fine, for spreads, pates, hamburger, and baby food; medium, for soup-related textures; and coarse, for ground meat used in chili. Fish and vegetables can also be ground with the appliance. Stored inside the pusher are two sausage attachments, which allow meats and spices to be combined for thin or plump sausages (recipes for Cajun, Italian, venison and other sausages are included in the user guide). Covered by a five-year warranty, the 450-watt motor works effortlessly and operates with a simple on/off/reverse switch. With the hopper attached, the grinder measures 10 by 13-1/4 by 8 inches. All parts should be washed by hand. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good machine
I only used it once, and it worked fine.Of course, I only grinded chicken breasts, which is not much of a challenge, but it appeared powerful.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good For Making Dog Food
I grind rabbit meat and bones to make dog food. It does a great job of pulling the meat (on the bones) from the hopper and I rarely need to use the pusher to force the meat down. The cleanup is pretty easy, but you do need to oil the blade and plates prior to storage. This is the best non-commercial option if you need enough power to grind bones as well as meat.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good little machine
I used this grinder to make deer sausage.this was my first attempt to even grind my own meat or to make sausage. That little machine is easy to use no problem grinding the meat although it takes two people to make sausage.Link sausage that is with pig casings, using the saugage attachment. My daughter and i made 65 14"sausage links, and we hade fun doing it.that little machine is worth its money, and in my opinion not a bad price. ... Editorial Review

For grinding larger quantities of coffee beans for a coffee-drinking crowd, Capresso’s commercial-grade Infinity grinder handles 8-1/2 ounces of beans at a time. Sixteen different settings--four each in the four categories of extra fine, fine, regular, and coarse--let you adjust the grind to the specific blend of coffee and method of brewing. The finest setting is ideal for preparing Turkish coffee, which is a rare feature to find in a grinder. A built-in timer sets the grind for anywhere between 5 and 60 seconds so you can walk away without having to constantly press a button to continue the grinding process. The Infinity has an advanced conical burr design made of steel that is usually only found on commercial grinders. This burr design slows down the gears and reduces the amount of friction and heat to preserve coffee’s flavor and aroma. The coffee container holds up to 4 ounces of grounds and remains sealed during grinding. For safety, the bean container also needs to be locked into place for the Infinity to operate. Also, fo easy cleaning, the bean container and upper burr lift off so you can clean the grinding chamber with the included brush and wipe down the and heavy-duty zinc die-cast housing. Capresso covers this burr grinder under a one-year limited warranty. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Brushed Chrome?I don't think so
Had I read the detailed description, I would have understood that the finish on this guy is NOT brushed chrome but rather a hard-anodized zine-oxide finish. This is not to say that it looks bad - it just doesn't match my brushed chrome coffee maker.
5-0 out of 5 stars Finally, I have a real coffee grinder!
After suffering for years with blade grinders and cheaper burr grinders, I decided to take the plunge and get the Capresso Infinity in brushed chrome. This grinder addresses all the problems I had with the lesser machines: it's fairly quiet, free of static, grinds evenly, and is easy to clean (although unless you use really oily beans, you shouldn't need to clean it very often).
5-0 out of 5 stars It's Worth It.Buy It!
After wasting several hours with a China made Krups grinder that the first one did not work at all, and the second one worked intermittently, ground coffee to talcum powder even on the most coarse setting.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Machine
Bought this to use with my rancilio. It seems to have made a huge difference.I thought there was something wrong with the espresso maker as my espresso was always flat and thin tasting.Freshly ground beans is the way to go - vast improvement over preground espresso (illy's or lavazza).I would have given it 4.5 stars, the only thing holdng it back is the silly doser.Either I'm not using it right, or its just not well designed, But everything else makes this a worthwhile purchase to those coffee freaks who can afford it.I used the free shipping and $25 off deal - thanks Threefires!

4-0 out of 5 stars Works for me!
Its amazingly quiet considering whats happening to those poor little beans...It gives me just the grade of grind I need for my espresso machine to get a perfect shot...but it gets a 4 rather than 5 because there were no anti-skid pads on the base (I think they may have been missing...or maybe they just don't provide them even though there is a place for them...

4-0 out of 5 stars Makes a huge difference, some features confusingly lacking.
I got this to accompany my Gaggia 35005 Carezza, because had been having inconsistent results with blade grinders, and store bought pre-ground wasn't doing it for me. This thing makes a *huge* difference, it's incredible. For that particular espresso machine, I found that a grind setting of 9 works great.

5-0 out of 5 stars Commercial quality.Absolute perfect grinding.Quiet.Worth every penny.
I purchased my first grinder 20 years ago and have experiencedmuch of the frustration that you read about in the reviews of MOST of the other coffee bean grinders. For some reason coffee grinders are often poorly designed and of horrid quality.Especially the cheap grinders are certainly no bargain. When I read the reviews of the cheap grinders it brings back "flashbacks" of extreme frustration (even some of the pricier units are garbage), noisy, messy and ultimately they break and are chucked into the garbage :-(
4-0 out of 5 stars Grinds Extra Fine
I had purchased a new $500 espresso machine and my old grinder would not grind fine enough for a good espresso. On the highest "extra fine" setting (4 settings each level) this grinder grinds too fine, my espresso machince can't force water through the grounds (they are like powder).I then tried the highest "Fine" setting and it is just about right.Still need to experiment some, as of now I'm happy with the unit.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very good unit
I was leary of spending this much on a grinder. But I really like coffee and noticed that my home brew wasn't quite up to par with Pete's (coffee house where I get my beans). Now my home brew coffee is as good as it is when brewed at Pete's.

1-0 out of 5 stars It's NOT stainless-stell
I think the machine was great at first. It's fast and eficient, but if you have more than 5 lb.of meat to grind and you don't want smoke coming out from the motor,You might want to give it a break in between. Plus, the cutting plates and the feed screw turn rusting and black even you put cooking oilafter wash as directed by the instruction book, and they have this iron/metal smell on the cutting plate that contaminate the meat. I am very disappointed.

1-0 out of 5 stars WOW!! This thing sucks. 0 STARS
I just got this thing 2 hours ago. In the middle of grinding a 16oz bag and it stops working. Made it through about 8oz...try again two hours later thinking motor got too hot, nope. Number one, this is nothing more than a typical small "hand held" grinder with a few lights and a cup dial that does absolutely nothing. DO NOT BUY THIS. The others who wrote a positive review must have been lighting the bottom of a spoon before they tried using this thing.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst grinder I've ever used
--and I've used a LOT of grinders. VERY badly designed, and the "custom" thing is a gimmick and a sham: it's a standard rotary grinder. They just added flashing lights and extra buttons, and made it look bulkier. Every day was a misery dealing with this thing: it's designed so that you have no choice but to spill grinds all over the place when you use it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Picky baby food eater
While my son is still picky about the consistency of baby food, he does eat it.Which is great. In addition I will also say this is a very easy to clean, use and store baby food grinder.

1-0 out of 5 stars If you want to feed your child metal, buy this one!!
I recommend not buying this product.I used it to grind chicken, and was happy to see it working, until I noticed the chicken had a gray color to it on certain parts. It turns out the coating of metal on the grinder was actually rubbing off and getting on both the food being grinded and the ground up chicken.Making baby food at home is supposed to be healthy, but I beleive feeding your child metal is not considered part of their iron requirements.

5-0 out of 5 stars Makes feeding baby easy
I've had this food mill for about a month, and so far I really like it.It's relatively easy to use, and cleans up quickly in the dishwasher.I was worried that it would only grind up soft foods, but that hasn't been a problem.I've ground up pasta, rice, meat, veggies, and yesterday I ground up a gyros, and the food mill worked great.

1-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't Do The Job
The product is labeled as a seed grinder, so you would expect it to be able to grind seeds, but it failed miserably. I tried grinding flax seeds (about the size of sesame seeds) but about half of the flax seeds made it through the grinder intact. I even tried running the "ground" seeds through a second and third time but still wound up with a large portion of whole or almost intact seeds. That was with the grinder on the fine setting. It seems to be a combination of poor design and cheap parts. The "grinding" wheels are made of plastic which is not the best material for friction and the design allows a lot of the seeds to drop off the wheel into the chute without having actually been "ground" by the wheels. If you're wanting to grind a very small amount of seeds, try a manual grinder. If you're wanting to grind a medium to large amount of seeds, spend more money and get a proper flour mill. ... Mine stopped working after about four months.I paid to return it to Capresso for repair.I received the replacement unit a couple of weeks later, and it does not function properly either.I'm sending the second one back, so I'm hoping third time is a charm.Save yourself the hassel and pick a different grinder.BTW, when it did work, the receptacle's poor design creates a mess with every use.The lid does not fit well (it falls into the ground coffee too easily), and it does not have a good seal with the chute.

1-0 out of 5 stars STAY AWAY!
I have had mine forabout 3 months and it quit the other day.I used this every day so maybe that was the problem. I did read other reviews that stated the same problem. Also it never made course enough grounds for a french press. I should have spent a little more since I now have to anyway.

Editorial Review

You can be sure your hamburger is made with the top cut of meat when using this meat grinder to grind your own beef. This grinder is also excellent for blending any combinations of poultry, pork, and beef for dishes such as, paté, meatloaf, or sausage. The unit has 180-watt motor that efficiently grinds at a rate of 1 kilogram of meat per minute and has a built-in circuit breaker to prevent the motor from burning out. Aside from the plastic meat feeder, all other parts on the meat grinder are made of durable metal for long-lasting use. A strong stainless-steel blade easily grinds dense chunks of meat into the cut of your choice--fine, medium, or coarse--using one of the three included stainless-steel attachment plates. The grinder also has a sausage attachment that stuffs pre-ground meat into casing, enabling you to easily make homemade links of 2- to 3-foot-long spicy Italian or duck sausages. The grinder cap is easy to remove and all other parts on this product break down easily for cleaning, which should be done by hand. National’s meat grinder is covered by a limited warranty for 1 year after the date of purchase. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It worth to buy if you need it
I bought Panasonic MK-G20NR few weeks ago and I used it 3 times. It works well and grind meat super fast compare to manual meat grinder. Important thing - follow care instruction like lubricate metal part of grinder to prevent rusting. It worth to buy if you need it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Meat Grinder
We are originally from Eastern Europe and meat is a huge part of our diet. Initially we used hand powered meat grinder and when I say use I mean on a weekly basis. Finally we got tired of it and decided to upgrade our kitchen equipment.

1-0 out of 5 stars There is a reason no one uses these anymore.
God bless those pioneering women who had muscles like steel bands to crank a grinder handle for hours and the unexplained need to make meat mush from otherwise good meat. This has to be one of the worst retro-technology products that I have ever come across. From cutter blades that couldn't cut soft cheese without making fondue, it to parts that must have been cast from the thousandth recast of the original.Nothing fits well, nothing works well . . . in general it belongs where you see most of them, on a table at a garage sale with a $0.25 price tag.Don't waste your time, money or musclepower.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good grinder
Bought this since it ships free, although it may cost less in other site, but shipping generally adds $15 to the final cost.It is a cast iron version with zinc coating.Washing is required since there is a lot of metal powder on the surface, used a pound of beef to make sure it is clean. It does a good job, 10 lbs of meat took less than 15 minutes.Cleaning is reasonable simple.we used to have an electric one, but the manual grinder is a lot better since it is easier to control the speed. If you only have a pound or so meat to grind, it is not worth the trouble. The home made ground pork and beef is so much leaner, you will never buy those from store again.Highly recommended ...
