Bad News
I ordered the as seen on tv hot dog express , from a company called welistit.com , so I wanted people to be aware of this product , I received it with the drip tray in the back broken in 4 pieces , & I feel the company knew this when they packaged it , since the little plastic bag it came in was taped as if they didn't want any of the parts to fall out , because the way they had it packaged , there was no way it could have broken in Shipping , when I notified them of my problem , they said they had no record of ever shipping this item to my address , & I would have to get the Tracking # from UPS for them to be able to do anything for me , I wonder , when I send the # what their excuse will be then , only to delay me from getting the part once again , well I learned my lesson the hard way , I won't order from this Company again or purchase this itemEVER again !!!!!!!!!

Could cut a better edge.
This can opener replaced another Black & Decker can opener that finally gave out after 13 years. It is sorely missed and this new one comes in as a good replacement with the single observation that the edge of the can lid that is removed always has a ragged cut edge. Other than that minor drawback to watch out for when you take the lid off the magnet, it's a good can opener. Find it at discount prices and it's worth it.

Good product mostly.
Only downside is that, when you try to remove the can from the opener, the magnet pulls the handle off like 70% of the time. It's annoying.

Neat but not silver
Great kitchen item (see other reviews). Pretty design BUT... I gave 4 stars not 5 due to the hassle of having to exchange the 1st unit I got in "matte silver" -- which in person is really gray plastic (not at all the stainless steel look I expected). I sent it back and got the chrome, much classier.

Gizmo can opener-almost as good as it seemed
Very handy.I found it easier not to mount.I just leave it on the counter next to the plug and plug it in when necessary.Only fault - the magnet is so strong that sometimes when removing the can the magnet draws the front part of the device into the can.

Works great for making a thermos of green tea
We have had this thing for most of a year now, and have used it every day to make a big pot of green tea.Here are some tips on doing that.
only lasted nine months
After nine months the flip-style plastic lid no longer sealed properly, leading to the risk of overboiling.I didn't bother to send it in for repair because the design is clearly flawed and it would have simply needed repair another nine months later.
Great - for a few months
I really liked ours, however, the heating element contacts do not seem to be heat resistant.This can be a problem when you want to use the kettle for heating water.

Sunbeam Adjustable Can Opener -"Where's the Beef"
Sunbeam used to make the best can opener and knife sharpener combination on the market, until they sold to Oster. With the Sunbeam model the "knife sharpner" feature is merely a token. Gone are the dual spinning stones that used to really debur and put a precision sharp edge on cutlery.The good news is that the old Sunbeam (the good one) has morphed into what is now the Oster Model #3118 ... exactly the same as the original (good) Sunbeam. So my recommendation is to buy the Oster model #3118

Nice opener
So far this can opener has worked perfectly. The tops remain attached to the magnet, it's a breeze to clean and the size adjusts to the size of the can to be opened. A really good product.

Best electric frying pan available
I'm known for making world class Latkes (potato pancakes) and I think a lot of the credit goes to this baby for it's nearly perfect even heat across the whole surface of the pan. I recommend this to everyone I know. My mother has one that is at least 25 years old. (I learned to make latkes from her, and she says mine are better.) It's also the tool for making fried chicken.

Pancake Tan Lines
I read the reviews and was prepared to experience griddle-Nirvana.I've used the griddle 10 times in the last month on a variety of foods (bacon, french toast, pancakes, quesadillas, etc) and am pleased with the performance.My biggest gripe is with the pancake cooking.If you place the batter immediately after the red warming light goes off you get great golden brown pancakes.However, if your cakes are on the griddle when the warming light comes on, watch out.The cakes are going to cook twice as fast and if they are across the heating elements, they will likely get an unsightly brown line across them - the pancake tan line.If they made the machine with several small heating elements instead of two large ones, this would help the problem.Last, I will say the ability to store the griddle upright is an awesome feature.My wife thanks you.

Amazing - surpasses products 3X this price
After going through a low-end (1200W) and mid-range (1500W unit from Williams-Sonoma), I'm happy to report this grill/griddle is absolutely top notch.

love it
i love my kettle--i bought it my first year of college, used it daily, and packed it away when i went home for the summer. i was afraid as my second year started that my kettle wouldn't work after such a long period of inactivity, but it was still in perfect working condition. i've had it at least 3 years now, and it's endured quite a lot of abuse, yet still works as well as the day i first used it. the only complaint would be the noise as the water approaches boiling--it's a very loud roar which can be very unsettling, especially with sleeping roommates around. overall, this kettle has never failed me, and i can't imagine it doing so any time soon.

Potential hazard confirmed
Some reviews here say that the auto-shutoff may be unreliable.I boiled a liter of water to test this. It shut off after 10 seconds of vigorous boiling. I repeated the experiment with the spout filter removed. It failed to shut down automatically - I switched it off after 30 seconds of rolling boil.Same with the lid open.

West Bend 6400 1-Quart Electric Tea Kettle, White
I owned this Tea Kettle brand before had it about 10-15 years but must now replace, some rust and some other foreign powdered material is coming out of the bottom of the kettle but did not hurt the workings of the kettle still works perfect but just was tired of the mess it would make from time to time, but all in all this is a fantastic kettle for the price which I might add was a better price from Amazon than the manufacture price with the old one 10-15 years ago which back then I paid 50 dollars for. This kettle boils super fast like in a minutes time, I don't boil other liquids in it as it states you can, just plain water for my Tea; diehard Tea drinker here!! so you can imagine this kettle is going all the time and gets plenty of use and stands up to all this for this many years my only hope this new one does the same which I believe it will as it is the very same exact kettle I had before which I just replaced. So if you want a great long lasting kettle for a great low price buy this one and you will be glad you did. I have also had the canadian version of this same make and model with the same results lasted many years, I always return to this same brand and model with great service everytime. This kettle also looks good. Well here's hoping you get the best long lasting service I did with mine. And I don't really know why others have rated this kettle much lower, as I say it has been a great Kettle to me. I rate this Kettle a big emphatic! 5 Stars!

Do you like being splattered?
Not only did this can-opener only last two years before the switch completely snapped off, rendering the machine unusable and dangerous, but the entire time I owned it, I had to shield myself from splatters.Why?Because whenever it tears a lid off a can, the spring-loaded magnet at the top, grabs hold of the lid, and flips it towards your face.

Needed to replace my 11 year old B & D under-cabinet can opener - shopped in a few stores but only found it on Amazon via J&R.Hope it works as well as the previous one.

Have owned one for over 6 years and never had a complaint-UNTIL now -went to use and the lever to start the opener broke completely off!!You can see the coils to the motor very close to the hole where the lever USED to be and now Im afraid of being shocked to death if I touch it so thats why Im being forced to replace!!!Have looked at many models and just cant find one I like as much!!!Plus the convience of being able to directly replace is too good to pass on!But would have to recommened to anyone looking for a GOOD and inexpensive opener Quess I got lucky and got a good unit!!Lets hope my replacement works as good as my old one!!! ... Nice LARGE griddle!
I love making pancakes. In the past I would use two large cast-iron skillets for the task. I found myself constantly adjusting my burner temperature and I would always get a few very dark (or burnt) or a few undercooked pancakes out of each batch. Plus I could only cook two pancakes at a time; one in the center of each skillet (I like making large, perfectly round, 5-6" diameter pancakes.)

I have had this gadget for serveral months and it works great.It has a stupid lid, but does everything it needs too.Like boil water for a coupious tea drinking fool.It hasnt burned me, my coworkers or broke.I use it often and take good care of it.I would not: thorw it across the room, let it sit too long while boiling, walk away from it while it is on for more than two minutes or man/woman handle it.After it is made of plastic.If you sit by it is worth it.The auto shut off does not work well.Other than that it should be purchased.

I'm an old hand with kettles, I thought I'd give this one to my spouse for our anniversary, but it was a bit of a dud. When the kettle was ready to boil the lid would fall down, steam would go everywhere. And it would often take ages to turn itself off. Looked great but...Think I'm going to get the braun instead.
