5-0 out of 5 stars Very well designed. No Problems
It's very handsome. I've had the coffee maker for over four weeks and I am very impressed. It's well designed and friendly to use. All of the elements are easy to understand and easy to clean. This one is quiet. The carafe, the measuring spoon, the water well, all the parts fit together with a kind of soft click that is very pleasant and well thought out.
5-0 out of 5 stars The most beautiful user friendly coffee machine I have ever owned!
I recently received this coffee machine as a gift. This modern looking coffee maker is self contained and includes every element needed for its use (filters, spoons and a measure). The 12-cup glass carafe has an innovative locking lid that preserves the coffee's aroma and flavor. I love the way it looks in the kitchen, like a small sculpure!I am happy with the quality as well and cannot report any problems.I noticed a negative rating by another person who probably purchased a refurbished copy. That's why I encourage to purchase this item brand new through Amazon's museumofmoderndesign.I look forward to adding the Jasper Morrison toaster to my collection as well.

1-0 out of 5 stars Leaks!
I've replaced the carafe 3 times. All 3 carafes leaked through the seal while pouring coffee, resulting in coffee spilled on the counter. It's a serious design flaw and apparently not fixable as Rowenta was not able to supply a carafe that does not leak.

1-0 out of 5 stars this is probably the worst product I have ever bought
I guess since there is some debate on this maker, I will list a few complaints. Yes, I read the directions. Where do I start. Try to open the coffee basket. It has a one millimeter ridge and it takes about 10lbs. of pull to open it. So, you have to grab it with your nail and brace the machine with your other hand and then pull your nail off. Ok, its open. You can't use this with a paper filter because the design causes it to plug up and spill over. I don't like coffee from the gold filter, so suggestion on the net is to use both. Yes, you have to put the gold filter in and then try to jam the paper inside of it. So, yes, you can prewarm that carafe and that is special, but there are lots that have that feature. Next, if you put the carafe in the exact cradle for it, the coffee won't come out of the basket and will overflow the basket. You have to jam (lots of jamming here) the carafe up against the back of the maker so that it is out of the cradle and sitting at an angle. Then, I hope that you weren't going anywhere soon cause you ain't now. Just keep waiting. In summary, it sucks big time.

2-0 out of 5 stars cheaply made
we got this as a wedding gift and it worked ok for about 2 years, but there are 2 plastic parts that have broken in the last month making it unusable. would not recommend this machine or this brand to anyone

3-0 out of 5 stars I love this coffee maker!
I've had this coffee maker for about a month now, and I'm very satisfied.

3-0 out of 5 stars Waring WC-1000 Professional Coffee Maker HOT?
Got it and it looks good and solid but the coffee is brewed on avg at about 165 - 175.Ok if you drink it right away and don’t use sugar or milk.Brewing is suppose to be done between 195 - 209. This just isn’t cutting it especially if you use a carafe it goes from warm to not cold in an hour. I called Waring and they said it should brew at 190 - 195 so return it.Its going back now I hope the replacement brews correctly it looks to be a great machine otherwise.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bought it for looks
I love this coffee maker, but I don't drink coffee: My husband does. I bought it for the hot water spigot!! I love, love it! I drink hot tea all day long and it is so convenient to have the spigot; however, the main reason I purchased this Waring Pro is because it looks commercial/professional and very sleek on a counter top.

2-0 out of 5 stars Way under average coffeemaker !
I bought this coffeemaker after the carafe from my old coffeemaker broke believing that this will prevent future accidents.
3-0 out of 5 stars It makes coffee
It makes coffee just fine and I can't complain about that. The white color was a mistake as it is very hard to keep clean. The big problem I have with this model is that it does not shut itself off after a designated time period.I'd pay the extra money and get the next model up that has a timer on it... and in a different color!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good stuff
What I love about this brewstation is that everything that could get dirty and over time, unsightly, is readily washable. With a coffee maker the hot plate usually wears away, and the coffee stains, no matter how diligent you are, don't come clean. Only a few parts of a coffeemaker can be cleaned thoroughly. However, with the brewstation the coffee tank lifts off and can be washed at will, as can the filter and the drip tray. Cosmetically speaking this is really great. My husband is having a hard time getting used to this because he misses the carafe. He also finds it big. Well, our old coffeemaker was for 5 cups and this is for 10, so of course it's bigger. I on the other hand love this precisely because there IS no carafe. No breaking, no replacing, no cleaning. The size is fine and the machine is compact. As to the coffee it makes: We haven't yet made a perfect cup of coffee, which isn't the machine's fault, but ours. We bought a grinder along with the brewstation and so we're using two new products at the same time. I can tell you that the coffee is quickly made, stays hot and not bitter. With a couple of more attempts I think we'll master a really, really good cup of coffee. I do have one quibble with this machine. I think the water level indicator should be on the water reservoir and not in the front. However, this is just my preference and why it got 4 stars and not 5.Overall, a really terrific product.

1-0 out of 5 stars terrible
This coffee maker is terrible. The rest of the reviews are too nice to explain the problems and offer solutions. The instruction manual is so unhelpful and I have managed to have burnt myself almost every time using it because most of the water ended up outside the carafe (either on the floor or counter) rather than inside. Save your money and buy from a reputable maker.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not Good
No problem setting up. Turn it on brews then turns off. The bad, The carafe pours very slowly and drips. I have not managed to brew a decent tasting cup of coffee yet. At least not as good as the $15.00 pot it replaced. I got it on sale at Macys for $28.00 and still don't feel it was worth it. I am going to buy something else and toss this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Really Nice!
This is the best coffee maker I have ever had. I have had quite afew coffee makers in my kitchen that I ended up either returning to the store or throwing away, but this one is here to stay! The coffee is great and tastes so fresh. I love stainless in general and this one has really great brushed stainless. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars No Frills & No Satisfaction
This is a basic coffee maker.Unfortunately, you really must use the mesh filter that comes with the appliance.Using paper cone filters for more than 4 cups of coffee will lead to clogging in the water drip container and cause the water to overflow and make a mess.If cheap is what you want in a coffee maker then, this is it.You definitely get what you pay for with this product.

1-0 out of 5 stars The worst POS coffeemaker ever ... doesn't deserve even 1 star
My old coffeemaker finally gave up the ghost over Christmas.I felt guilty spending a lot of money on myself to get another machine so I went with Target's cheapest ... this Toastmaster. It is a choice I have resented and regretted ever since.I will *never* buy a Toastmaster product again. You can't pour water or coffee without it spilling all over the counter. The machine is poorly built in that you can barely get the coffeepot out without forcing open the flimsy coffee door. There's no auto-off option. The "stop and pour a cup" concept doesn't work -- you run serious risk of burning yourself (or the house down) using this machine on a day-to-day basis and mine is going in the trash.I went to Walmart last night and bought a decent Mr. Coffee machine with all the bells and whistles for $50 and it is already worth the price because of the lack of aggravation and disgust I didn't have to suffer thru this morning, just to get a cup o' joe going.Save yourself the misery and spend the extra money on a different brand. In this case, you *do* get what you pay for ... don't pay for this, whatever you do!

1-0 out of 5 stars This product should be pulled from the market
I got this coffee maker for christmas, and the first time I went to pour a cup of coffee the basket swung out dripping hot coffee and grounds all over. We should all get refunds and the product should be pulled from the market. It is a danger to all how have one. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Stops and starts
It worked great for about a month and now it will stop brewing halfway through a cycle.I have to move the pot around or turn it on and off to get it to finish. It is a nice looking unit and keeps the coffee warm without burning.I get about 3 good size cups of coffee out of a full pot, so I don't know how they rate it as a 10 cup unit.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best ever
I am a coffee addict age 70 and have never had a better coffee maker. Even without pre-heating the thermos it never needs more than a few seconds in a microwave after 2-3 hours. No more burned, overcooked taste. The 45 oz capacity is low, (since when is a cup of coffee 4.5 ounces?) However, since the brewing is over in 7 minutes, as soon as the cycle is completed, the next pot can be started without waiting for cool down. Friends who have seen it have already purchased theirs. I started out looking for Krups makers but the reviews on Amazon sent me to Braun. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Glad I didn't listen to bad reviews.
I bought this coffee maker a little over 2 weeks ago aand I love it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
Excellent coffee pot for the money. Striking design, great features, nicely lit clock, and makes great coffee. Comes with a gold tone filter basket, charcoal water filter, and large easy to fill reservior. Best coffee maker I ever owned.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed by Mr. Coffee...again
The quick-pour feature, which should allow you to pour a cup of coffee while the pot's still brewing, has never worked. We tried it a few times, but it always resulted in coffee streaming all over the place. Now, due to the fact that some of the coffee must have baked onto the warming plate (after we quickly replaced the carafe) the plate's coating is chipping off. I imagine it's a safety hazard. Somehow, the brewed coffee also leaks out the bottom of the base at least 2 times/week. Fortunately, I've been able to clean it up before it's stained my counters. Finally, the condensation has "blanked out" the clock on two separate occasions. The coffee maker was given to me as a gift (a replacement, in fact, for Mr. Coffee's poorly-manufactured 10-cup thermal coffee maker), or I would have returned it immediately. Now I'm outside the store's 90-day return window. It's a shame that Mr. Coffee can't seem to produce a safe & reliable coffee maker! Like so many others, I'll never purchase another Mr. Coffee product. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Neat machine
So far so good. We've had this machine for about a month now and haven't encoutered any of the problems others have.I quite like the ability to brew one or 2 cups at a time and it looks great with our other appliances.

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Awesome!!
I love this thing! Not only can you brew into the two travel mugs, you can brew into anything that will fit under the nozzel. That means you can use your favorite travel mug or a tall ceramic coffee cup.It also means you don't have to wash the included mugs every day. I use mine almost daily.Just hit start when you get out of the shower and the coffee is ready to go when you are heading out the door. The only problem I have had is I dropped a mug and it broke.Melitta shipped me a new one for 5 bucks. Can't beat that!I recommend this for anyone who only needs coffee for one or two and for anyone who takes coffee to go!

1-0 out of 5 stars Nice Idea - but bad design
Was hoping this would work because I just needed one cup in the mornings - but it leaked all over the counter if you tried and use the two cup option.Works fine if you are brewing just one cup.Not worth the money. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars already not working
Had the pot a little over a year ,bought 2 and 1 just recently stopped pushing water through....

3-0 out of 5 stars Made good coffee but didn't last long
My Mr. Coffee pot justed died after only one year. It just sprewed and spit water and steamed like it would explode, and then all it produced was a teaspoonful of coffee. I called the manufacturer and they tried to blame me saying that I was required to clean it after every 30 brew cycles with the vinegar treatment. I've owened about 4 coffeemakers in my life and never have I had to clean them after every 30 brew cycles. Every 2or 3 months, yes, but not monthly, or bimonthly. This is how they get out of honoring their warranty. They claim that the owner's manual states that it requires this cleaning schedule. But upon checking the manual, it says "suggested" cleaning schedule. So beware. If yours craps out early, they will blame it on you! And yes, mine made good tasting coffee, but the lid was a pain to screw into place, and it always dripped out of the spout when I poured. And the water level took 5 minutes to register correctly.I'm replacing it with a different brand, that's for sure.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Coffeemaker Died Today!
I bought this coffeemaker approximately one year ago and have really liked it.I didn't think I would use the programmable feature because I am retired so don't have to grab a cup of coffe and go as in the days when I commuted to work five days a week. However, after trying this feature, I discovered that I love getting up in the morning and being able to just pour my first cup without having to make the coffee first.I am so disappointed that it has already stopped working! The clock works, all of the buttons seem to work as the red lights do come one when I press them but it just wouldn't brew the coffee.I've run through all of the troubleshooting suggestions but nothing applies.I called a local electric shop to see if they repaired coffeemakers and they said they do not.Apparently coffeemakers are disposable appliances once they no longer function.Yes, I have had the collapsing filter a few times in a year, and yes, I do find that the caraffe lid is hard to use, and no, it does not produce coffee that is as hot as I prefer it, but overall this has been a great coffeemaker for me.Instead of buying a new one I got out my trusty Farberware electric percolator and will just go back to using it. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great little 4 cup coffee maker
I got this because we wanted a white, four cup maker with a metal carafe. This one met all the criteria and we haven't been disappointed. It wasn't very expensive, it makes good coffee and it keeps it pretty hot.I also like that it has automatic shut off.I had no interest in the "travel mug" capabilities of the carafe so I can't really say how good or bad that function is.I'll take one star off since that's been a wasted feature for us, but in every other respect we've been very pleased. It's definitely worth considering if you're looking for a 4 cup coffee maker.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cuisinart "Drips-A-Lot" Coffee Maker
I purchased this item as a gift for a friend with red accents in her Miami kitchen. It makes good coffee, but there is no way to pour a cup without several drops of coffee sliding from the spout down the side of the carafe and dripping off the bottom onto your counter, floor, or other surface. This happens irregardless of how full or empty the carafe is, or how fast or slow one pours. One is constantly cleaning the counter or floor of coffee drips! Not recommended for this reason. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars After ten years , I bought a second unit
for simple functional serviceability this is the best value in coffeemakers
3-0 out of 5 stars coffeeman
I own this coffee maker, and use it everyday. It can be used to brew tea also, and it does a good job brewing coffee or tea. It has quirks though. The carafe is a tricky pourer. You have to pour it just right(even adding water in the tank)or it will spill everywhere. The coffee maker does make some noise, while brewing and reaching the end of the brewing cycle. It sounds more like a perculator than a coffee maker. At the end of cycle, it belches steam, several times, before switching itself to warming cycle. Oh yes, don't expect your coffee to taste as well, if you leave it in the maker for more than 40 minutes on the warming cycle. The coffee filter basket removes and installs easily, but the pause/serve feature on the basket, fails 50% of the time. The lid on coffee makers can be hard to seat shut sometimes, and sometimes it won't till it heats up. Makes up 12 cups of coffee or tea, but when you only want one or two cups, it's tricky to guage the amount of water. I would not buy this style of coffee maker again; mainly for it's quirks, and those quirks you encounter almost every day you use it. Coffee maker does not shut off after warming, so unplug it before leaving.

I liked this coffee maker. It was easy and pretty fast and the best part was the carafe. It poured easily and neatly with no spills like you'd get from carafes with the little spouts.

2-0 out of 5 stars The Ford Pinto of coffee makers...
When you first get the BrewStation it works great. It's really convenient.I bought one for my Mom last Christmas (2005) and she loved it.One day I walked into the kitchen and noticed coffee all over the counter around the BrewStation.I whiped it up and didn't give it another thought. But the next day I went back and there was coffee all over the counter again. It was then I noticed that the spout had developed a leak.My Mom said she hadn't a clue what was wrong with it, so we cleaned it and sit it on the dining room table for about 2 months unused.Yesterday, I went back to it and figured it was probably the gasket around the spout.I found the replacement gasket that came with it and replaced it.I then cleaned it off and placed it back on the counter and filled it with water.I ran it with just plain water to see if it would leak and at first it didn't.Then after it got up to about 6 cups it began dripping again.Bummer...So I left it sitting there and put a paper towl under it and when I went back about 20 minutes later the paper towel was soaked.
5-0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny
I have had my BrewStation coffee maker for quite some time, and actually this is my second one.The first lasted almost a year before the power button quick working. We contacted Hamilton Beach, they sent us a free postage-paid return label along with a new machine. We did not even have to wait until they rec'd the old one before they would send the new one. Nice!

I thought this product was great at first but after a few months it started leaking. After a few days of coming home to a coffee covered counter I went out and bought a Mr. Coffee. This one is not worth the mess. ... Read more

Editorial Review

For those who are intimidated by complex home electronics, Bosch's basic 900-watt coffeemaker brews up to 12 cups of java and requires no programming besides flipping the power switch on. The unit has special brewing and aroma systems that bring out excellent flavor in coffee. Ground coffee goes in the nondrip insert filter, which takes No. 4 paper filters and removes easily for rinsing by hand or running through the dishwasher. A water-level indicator is visible from both sides of the coffeemaker for monitoring the number of cups that are brewing. Coffee brews through the closed lid of the included glass carafe without spilling, for more convenient serving. Removing the carafe during brewing activates the brewing pause feature, which prevents coffee from dripping until the carafe is back on its plate. The machine automatically shuts off after brewing for safety, and the thermal carafe keeps coffee warm. This compact unit stands 12-1/2 inches high, measures 7-1/2 inches wide, and is 9-3/4 inches deep, plus it features a cord rewind space on the back for storage. Bosch covers this model with a one-year warranty. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Success, At Last
Over the last 8 years, I've purchased at least 5 coffee automatic drip coffee pots for my mom and for me.They have ranged from cheap to expensive. Expensive for me is in the $80 to $100 range. The last coffee pot I bought for my mom was a Melitta with the auto time set. While she loved the unit, it went to the coffee pot graveyard in just a little over a year when the heating unit burned out.A couple of my previous purchases were thermos-style units. My biggest complaints over all the coffee pots were (1) coffee not hot enough, (2) coffee didn't really taste that great, (3) pot not big enough, which happens most on thermos units, and (4) failure of the unit in too short a time, particularly for the more expensive units.1-0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy!
I bought this coffeemaker as a gift for my sister and was so embarrassed when she took it out of the box. First, the plastic top is extremely cheap and flimsy, and the whole thing broke off the first time we flipped it back. There was also a grey powder film over the whole appliance. Finally, it is just not good looking at all...extremely cheap in appearance. It did not even make it to the countertop before we had it back in the box and on its way back to Amazon. I went with the Bosch on their reputation for the greatest dishwashers. Evidently, another company designs and manufacturers their small appliances. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!! Get the Braun KF550-BK AromaDeluxe instead! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely bloody appalling
I got this coffeemaker for free, and it was not worth what I paid for it.The coffeemaker takes about eight years to brew coffee, the steaming wand doesn't, and as other people have reported, it leaks coffee everywhere, staining my counters. At first I thought that I was not getting the pot seated right, but even after careful checking, I get a big coffee puddle more often than not.The espresso clip's handle broke after three uses.I'm junking it and buying a real coffeemaker.

1-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Terrible
This has got to be the worst coffee machine we have ever had. It is nearly impossible to pour the coffee out of the pot without it spilling all down the side and onto your counter (or hand, whatever) Also, when the coffee brews, it spits and sputters all over the place. We have papertowels underneath our machine and it is staining our countertops.
2-0 out of 5 stars Not the great buy that it seems
My problem is different from the other reviewers. Maybe I'm not the espresso taste connosseuir(sp?) that the other reviewers are, but I was perfectly happy with the machine.... when it worked.
