4-0 out of 5 stars Cuisinart DCC-12PBRC 12-CUP REPLACEMENT CARAFE
This is the replacement for what I believe is the original Cuisinart coffee maker and works well although the lid sometimes does not snap into place on the first try (after washing). I was very happy to have found it through Amazon, as I do not think the original (no bells & whistles)coffee maker is produced/distributed any longer. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Programmable for automatically brewing "wake-up" coffee at a selected time, this coffeemaker brews up to 12 cups. A replaceable charcoal filter improves the water, and a permanent Gold Tone filter replaces paper filters. Other features include a spray head that distributes water evenly through the ground coffee; a glass carafe with a stylish stainless-steel band; a scratch-resistant nonstick warming plate; cord storage in the rear (push in the cord to conceal it); a window that shows the water level; and a pause function for a midbrew pour when the carafe is removed. For peace of mind, you can program the warming plate to shut off at a specified time (up to four hours) after brewing. Clad in gleaming white plastic that easily wipes clean, the coffeemaker measures 13-3/4 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 11 inches deep (including the carafe handle), and carries a three-year warranty against defects. 1-0 out of 5 stars Leaks from the water gauge
I bought this new - it's being clearanced - at my local Target and I filled it with water to run it before using it, and lo and behold, the bottom of the water gauge is leaking lots of water. After reading the other comments, I will pack it up and NOT get another one.....instead I will continue to use my old Krups ProAroma until it dies.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for 1 Cup
Overall I have been happy with it.I normally only brew 1 cup so I don't have the problems with uneven distribution. My only complaint is that the coffee isn't quite hot enough. I don't use the cups that came with the coffer maker, they are mediocre. I recommend getting different cup.A good Thermos (Nissan) brand cup works great and keeps the coffee hot for hours.

3-0 out of 5 stars good for one cup
if you wanna have one cup then is it a good coffeemaker.
4-0 out of 5 stars It fits my need
I was deciding whether to get this 2 cups coffeemaker or the french press, since only 2 people in the household drink coffee. After reviewing the two kinds, I bought this unit. It does its job well. Other than it takes up counter space, it is very easy to operate. My only complaint was there was a tiny chip on the unit when I received it-however it does not affect the operation at all. ... This Cuisinart coffeemaker is ideal for the coffee drinker whowants the flavor of café coffee at home. It all starts with thespecialized Coffee Bar flavor system, which revolves around a dial onthe top of the machine that allows you to set the number of cups tobrew. 5-0 out of 5 stars Beats our old Starbucks brewers, hands down!
Flavor is great. Pot beeps when coffee is ready; beeps when it shuts off the heating element too! Coffee ground issue is, I'm sure, related to the brass/plastic basket that comes with the pot. If you overfill the basket with gounds, they do get in the water. However, if you use a paper filter with the same amount of grounds , it works fine. Poorly engineered ground basket. If you want a brass basket, purchase a third party one. We also have the KA coffee grinder which is better than any I've owned, including the Braun and Starbucks which both died an early and untimely death. KA appliances still going strong after more than a year.

2-0 out of 5 stars Looks Great - Tastes Mediocre
I'm usually a big fan of KitchenAid appliances and I own a Proline coffee grinder, which is excellent. But, I could not get a good full-flavored cup of coffeee out of this machine. I usually brew 4 cups at a time. They have a setting for 1-4 cups, but the coffeee still turned out slightly weak and slightly bitter. I returned it and will try something else.

Black & Decker, long known as a maker of quality tools, brings that same dependability to the kitchen in its line of countertop appliances, such as the TCM700 8-cup thermal carafe coffeemaker. Constructed of sturdy black plastic with a steel band accent, the body of the TCM700 looks sleek and professional, like a tool designed for the kitchen. On the front of the brew basket, there's a see-through plastic water fill indicator, with measure lines that take into account the extra water needed to brew a cup of coffee. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars What is "8 cups", anyway?
Because I was very happy with the Black and Decker Kitchen Tools 8-cup coffeemaker I used for more than ten years, the world's most perfect coffeemaker until it just stopped working one Monday morning, all I wanted was a machine to take its place, with an 8-cup stainless steel thermal carafe and digital timer. After using this one for a few days, I recognize that most of my adjustment "issues" (i.e., placement of the buttons, LCD screen which can't be seen in a dark kitchen) just are differences I'll get used to, but what's puzzling is this:to make "four cups" (half a pot) in my old machine, I measured out 22 ounces of water. The TCM700 carafe, according to the box, only holds 36 ounces, for a "full" pot. So it isn't just store packages (i.e., the bags and cans of supermarket coffee which mimic the old pounds, but are only twelve ounces, at most) which are shrinking.

2-0 out of 5 stars get a grip, fragile carafe, choose carafe first then machine!!
I got this coffee maker for ten dollars at a local grocery store. It has no problem making coffee the problem and there are several have to do with getting a grip on it. There are no edges or angles to grip it, the spots that do 'lend' themselves are hot. So removing the carafe, or installing it is just plain awkward. The carafe is so fragile that it will spontaneously disintegrate in the dishwasher. So be ready to purchase an endless round of carafes periodically. Our carafe first got a little lip chip on the pouring spout, four days later and four uses later a larger piece popped out of the side making it useless. Bummer at 6am. Because of the type of carafe and coffee maker it appears it must be replaced with OEM carafe. This ten dollar coffee maker is heading towards costing a fortune over time. (btw we were very careful how we placed it in the dishwasher.)My next coffee maker will take the most inexpensive replacement carafe, (metal??) i can find on the discount store shelf. I will then buy a machine that takes THAT carafe (and is approved by Cons. Reports).

5-0 out of 5 stars Does a coffee maker really have to be expensive?
Hello,
1-0 out of 5 stars This Thing Is Dangerous!
I was using this machine about the 5th or 6th time, and the auto-drip-stop function would not line up properly causing the basket to fill and overflow with hot coffee.I attempted to adjust the carafe and the basket. The basket immediately tipped forward and dumped the hot coffee all over my hand.Ouch.If this had a swing-out basket, this wouldn't have happened.

5-0 out of 5 stars Do not hesitate......
If you have been hesitating in making this purchase DONT......I love a good cup of coffee, have no time or tolerance for poor coffee, and I dislike throwing away old coffee; I refuse to warm coffee up in the micro(it tastes funny)and my coffee butler gave up the ghost......decided to try the new single serving makers. Absolutely wasted my time and money on a Senseo (coffee not hot enough and has an artificial taste.....what's with the crema stuff anyway? yuck) Decided to try a Keurig B-50, figured that if it was anything like the previous purchase it would go back...and fast... Happy to say I LOVE IT.......Really enjoy my HOT, FRESH cup of coffe, also love the Lemon Zinger tea (an unexpected plus). I am giving them as Christmas gifts this year to my coffaholic relatives and friends.

1-0 out of 5 stars PERFECT FOR THE RECKLESS CONSUMER
We had this machine at work and made maybe 6 cups a day on a busy day. Within a month the machine broke - Keurig did replace it right away but then the second broke as well (a co worker bought one for his home and had the same problem!!). they gave us an upgrade on the model and this one is still going. The Coffee was good but the tea was not. Most importantly people is IT IS WASTEFUL. WITH LITTLE PLASTIC CUPS FILLING UP THE GARBAGE, AND IN OUR CASE TWO MACHINES IN THE DUMP. COME ON PEOPLE LETS HAVE SOME CONSCIOUS COMSUMERISM AND SLOW DOWN. What ever happened to putting the coffee in a paper filter and pouring hot water over it and letting the fragrance wrap around you. If you are that busy and needy for coffee instantly maybe you should be looking at the job ads or self help books and not over priced hunks of wasteful plastic for greedy americans!

Love everything, easy, no mess, fast, durable, fair price!!!SO manyonline companies,(try ebay) as well as Target sell the Kcups that I can make my own favortite lattes, and caramel this or that...I bought my machine at BJ's, came with 90 free K-cups and total price was 129.00.I have purchased OH SO MANY makers and thought enough is enough, I had given up. This 12-cup coffee maker brews at high temperature in about half the time of other models--meaning there's a shorter wait between your eyes opening in the morning and your first dosage of caffeine. The stainless-steel, copper-braised (not aluminum) heating element ensures cleaner operation with less calcification. The automatic pause-and-pour will make sure you don't have to be awake enough to shut the coffee maker off before pulling the carafe out from under the spout, and the soft-touch on-off button is easy to find even when your eyes are still full of sleep. Featuring a front fill and removable cone filter liner, the coffee maker also has hidden cord storage to reduce countertop clutter. Sleek, black, contemporary-styled housing will match any kitchen décor. The 1,450-watt, 120-volt coffee maker includes a one-year warranty. Read more

This is a great coffeemaker. It makes the coffee fast, in fact faster than any other coffeemaker we have had.But to me, the best thing is how hot the coffee is!I have never had a drip coffeemaker which made hot coffee. Great for a one- or two-person home or for a quick pick-me-up at work, the Hamilton Beach Aroma Express coffeemaker offers the capabilities of a full-grown machine in a compact form. 2-0 out of 5 stars Not So Good
I bought this coffee maker because of its compact size, but returned it a week later. I found it very difficult to avoid spillage when pouring the water into the coffee maker AND the coffee into a cup. The problem was worse if making more than 4 cups.
4-0 out of 5 stars This little coffeemaker does just what it's supposed to do.
Other reviewers have complained about spillage or dripping with this product.I didn't encounter these problems. This is a small coffeemaker! It only makes five, 5-oz cups of coffee. If you make a full 25-oz pot and then move it quickly, you'll spill some coffee. The same goes for filling the water chamber to make coffee. If, on the other hand, you realize you're dealing with a small, full pot and act accordingly, you won't have any problems. It does exactly what it's supposed to do.It makes small amounts of good coffee quickly and easily. For under $15, what more can you ask for.

5-0 out of 5 stars High end maker for high end coffee
This is a perfect coffee maker. Beans lose their flavor within 20 minutes after grinding, so the grinding and making is perfect. I have read other peoples reviews and totally disagreeThis is the best coffee maker ever. There is a learning curve, true. The first couple of pots I didn't quite get it all together, but since then, it makes the best coffee. One caution....... you have to use high grade coffee beans to get high grade coffee. If you use the cheap Arabica beans, you'll get lousy coffee with this maker. For example: Use 100% pure Kona coffee or Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee. Cheap coffee in a a high class maker...... DOH!!!Use the best coffee available and you won't be disapointed. This coffee maker is NOT for amatures!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Convenient, A Little Extra Work Is Necessary
We received this coffeemaker as a wedding gift, have used it at least once daily for almost a year, and won't go back to anything else. Sure, it takes a bit of extra work to keep it clean, but we really think it's worth it. Other reviewers have mentioned steam traveling up the grinder chute and creating a sludge in the grinder. By then the grounds are in the filter during brewing anyway, and it just takes some warm water and paper towel to wipe down the insides afterward. As to the flavor it definitely depends on the beans you choose. Right now I'm drinking old-fashioned Eight-O-Clock coffee this coffeemaker ground and brewed for us this morning. But there are better beans in the cupboard if I want to use them. Don't like the grind size for some sessions? Want to use Folgers? A $20 grinder will solve the grind size issue, and the grinder can be shut off so you can use pre-ground coffee. As to the noise, unless you sleep in the kitchen or sleep with the bedroom door open, it's really nothing to worry about. Kinda fun though ... it does scare the bejeepers out of cats and in-laws! We did check the thermal carafe once on a trip and the coffee was still hot six hours after brewing. To sum up, if you're a "coffee elitist", no, you probably won't like it, just like you won't like a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. But if you're a normal everyday coffee drinker, this, and it's non-thermal smaller brother, is your high-end machine. Just break out the elbow grease when resetting it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Thanks, but NO Thanks
I looked for a coffee maker that included a grinder for quite a while and was excited to see that Cuisinart had that combination.Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed in the product. It is very difficult to see down into the well how much water you've added when making 1-4 cups of coffee - there is no external water line. You cannot select the grind of coffee - it's all one grind. That would normally be ok since you usually use that grind for an automatic coffeemaker. However, there are times when I have a bold bean that I'd like to grind the coffee a little more coarsely. It can sometimes be challenging getting the accessories to sit just right in theirrespective locations, at least on my pot. This is especially true for the basket.I frequently find a few coffee grinds in my cup. I am particularly disappointed in how long the coffee stays hot - or I should say how long it doesn't stay hot. It's better when you make coffee on demand and warm up the pot with hot water before making the coffee, but it still doesn't keep it warm for hours. It isn't possible to warm the pot before making coffee if you're using the timer. To top everything off, they didn't even include a filter with the new pot.If I knew then what I know now, I would not selected this coffeemaker.I would not recommend this product to anyone and I'd take back my Krups anytime. ... Editorial Review

"Versatile" and "sturdy" aptly describe this well-designed appliance. Once the tank is filled and preheated to brewing temperature (in about 15 minutes), the Pour-Omatic immediately begins brewing coffee whenever more water (2-cup minimum) is added. So you're never more than three minutes away from a fresh cup of coffee. Holds brewed coffee indefinitely at the perfect temperature for drinking, or you can use the preheated water for tea or other beverages. The brewing funnel fits easily into positioning slots that suspend it securely over the 6-cup glass decanter, as does the hot-water funnel. Also included are two large packages of Bunn drip filters, a spring for deliming the drip mechanism, and a clearly written, illustrated instruction booklet to help you get the best performance from this appliance. 5-0 out of 5 stars Very pleased...
I was skeptical about spending so much money on a home coffee maker. But I figured it would be money well spent if it is well made and will last much longer than cheaper brands. We love our A10 Pour-O-Matic! It is super fast, easy to clean, and best of all it makes the nicest, smoothest, most rich tasting coffee we've ever had in a home brewer. I would highly recommend this coffee brewer, splurge, you won't be sorry!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best home coffee maker
It will not make a latte but if you want a good cup of coffee in less time it takes to brush your teeth this it it.
5-0 out of 5 stars If you love coffee, Bunn is a Must.
I bought my Bunn coffee maker in 1991.It's worked great and has lasted through many moves. It brews a pot of coffee in about 3 mins and the taste is great compared to the other coffee machines out there, which leave you with a bitter tasting cup of coffee. So if you love your coffee and are tired of waiting for your old machine to finish brewing, I highly recommend a Bunn. Also, you can get them at other stores for a lot less than $200. ... Read more

Editorial Review

With a stainless-steel thermal carafe, the TCMATD Toastmaster coffee maker from Rival keeps its brew piping hot. The carafe holds 8 cups and thanks to its insulation and heat-retaining properties, it keeps java fresh much longer than glass counterparts. The machine's LCD clock and timer mechanism can be pre-programmed to produce perfectly-timed piping-hot beverages first thing in the morning or just as dessert is about to be served. And for those without patience, carafe removal automatically pauses the maker's dripping flow to allow for spill-free brewing interruptions. Safety features include a lighted on/off switch and an auto shut-off system. The cone filter basket offers a removable liner for simplified cleaning while an integrated easy-to-read water level indicator keeps the maker from running dry. When not in use, the cord stows easily tucked out of sight. The machine wipes clean with a damp cloth and should never be immerse in water. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS COFFEE POT!!!
Dad told me not to throw the old coffee pot away before we tried this new one.I didn't listen. This Toastmaster Stainless Steel Coffee Maker is the worst coffee pot ever made.Ditto with the other comments about spillage, inconvenience, and too quick shut-off time. And only 8 cups at a time.I thought it was a 12 cup pot but I was mistaken.Useless coffee pot.Who wants to start their day off with this kind of hassle. Not me!Thanks for letting me voice my opinion.deanna

1-0 out of 5 stars Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker
I hoped this would be an excellent way of having coffeee made and kept warm. Right away I had difficulty with the coffee brewing and pouring anywhere but into the carafe. I called Toastmaster who told me a particular way I had to put the carafe and the funnel but although it improved short term it proved too awkward to keep getting it "right" and could not rely on walking away to let it brew alone or put the timer on. I would like to return the coffee maker but have not done so yet.

Editorial Review

Braun's AromaDeluxe is a no-nonsense, easy-to-use coffeemaker for those who still prefer a basic cup of coffee. The coffeemaker brews up to 10 cups using a fast brewing method that thoroughly extracts the rich flavor and aroma from your ground coffee. The integrated Brita water filter also contributes to better-tasting coffee by screening out chlorine and other harsh minerals, plus it prevents calcification within the water tank. A marker on the top of the water tank helps you keep track of when the water filter needs to be changed. Other handy extras on the AromaDeluxe include a filter release button, which swings the detachable filter basket open for filling or easy cleaning, and a pause-and-serve feature, which stops the brewing while you pour a cup of coffee midway through a cycle. For safety, the glass carafe has a comfortable, nonslip handle with an open design to accommodate larger hands. Further safety measures include a large, red power button that is easy to see but difficult to switch on by accident. This coffeemaker is covered by a one-year limited warranty. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars More Affordable Than BUNN...And Better!
We take our coffee very seriously. The right brewing temperature is key for a great cup of coffee.Recently, our Cuisinart coffeemaker, which cost three times as much, bit the dust.I decided to try a BUNN as I had heard so many great things about them. After shelling out a fair amount of money for that and hoping for great things, we were sadly disappointed, since what promised to be HOT coffee was not even close. No more big dollar coffeemakers for us!After reading favorable reviews on Braun, I decided to give this model a try.In one word:"WOW!"Let's see....not only do we have a sleek design, a Brita water purifier included, a super fast brewing time, but we also have HOT coffee (Gee, what a novelty.)You can't beat this coffeemaker!....it's a dandy for this price.

4-0 out of 5 stars Keep it simple
After much research and having to take another coffee maker back to the store (Black and Decker model - horrible)I decided to keep it simple. Man this is by far the best little coffee maker for the price. Makes hot coffee, quit, easy handling and cleaning. I love this little thing and the water filter works well too, you can get the replacement filters on ebay -two for 9.99 that's not bad if you have bad water. So I give it 2 thumbs up.
4-0 out of 5 stars nice coffee maker

4-0 out of 5 stars Love it
This thing is great...its big, it's metal and its red! What can you really say about a coffee maker. It works and it looks great in my kitchen. No problems whatsoever.

3-0 out of 5 stars Cold Coffee!!
I was really influenced by the other reviews on this product, so I asked for it for Christmas. It is well built, but keeps the coffee only lukewarm, at best. And, this morning, I found coffee leaking from large horizontal crack in the carafe. After a half-hour searching the Internet, including the Hamilton Beach website, I cannot find a replacement carafe.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mikey Likes it!
I like this coffee maker. It looks good and makes great coffee!
