4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty fantastic little machine
My mother bought this for myself and my husband for xmess about 4 years ago.We were in love! The coffee is amazing, better than anything you can get at St@rb*cks and waking up to freshly ground, freshly brewed coffee is a fine motivator to get out of bed in the morning.
4-0 out of 5 stars Coffee shop coffee
I bought this unit 6 or 7 years ago and have loved it ever since.Features like the programmable timer, water heat selection, self clean are all useful, but what makes this a great coffee maker is that it grinds the coffee and passes hot water through it within seconds of finishing the grind. That you can program this so you can have fresh ground and brewed coffee waiting for you in the morning is one of the finer things in life.
5-0 out of 5 stars absolutely love this and mine is durable!
I've had mine for 2+ years and have used it every day with no problems at all.The coffee is the best I've ever tasted....nothing beats fresh ground beans.I love waking up to the sound of the grinder, and when it's finished brewing, the machine makes a beeping sound to let you know........it's like a snooze alarm.I think it's actually easy to clean, just 3 parts to wash. ... Editorial Review

By steeping ground coffee for nearly 2 minutes to begin the brewingprocess, this coffee maker delivers up to 10 cups of full-flavored coffee andthen keeps it warm in an insulated thermos-carafe for hours. The thermos-carafeseals in heat during the brewing process and afterward to lock in flavor. Thiseliminates the need for a warming plate, which can turn coffee bitter. Formaking wake-up coffee, the machine's programmable clock-timer can be set up to24 hours in advance. There's also an automatic interrupter that halts coffeeflow for 20 seconds during the brewing cycle if the thermos-carafe is removedfor a quick pour. For best results, remove the carafe from the base when the brewing process is complete, sealing off the carafe and insuring hot coffee. This sleek coffee maker measures 8-1/2 by 15-1/2 inches highby 8-1/2 inches wide by 10-1/4 inches deep. Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Carafe exploded
We've had this coffeemaker for about 10 months now and so far it has worked reasonably well. I have to admit that the coffee is not as hot as I would like it though, when brewed. However what is more upsetting is that the carafe exploded on me today after it had been washed. We are very careful with the carafe and always handwash and take good care of it. Is there a replacement carafe? Can Krups replace this?
3-0 out of 5 stars Okay
We have had this coffee maker for a few years but have had some problems.
5-0 out of 5 stars Looks Great and Tastes Great!
I love this coffee maker from Krups. It's the best coffee maker I have ever had. It looks so elegant on my countertop and it produces great tasting coffee. I also like the size. 10 cups were more than enough for all my guests. I definitely recommend it. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A Keeper
I have used many different brands of coffemakers, but this one will be my last. It easily makes the best coffee. This may be because of the use of a paper filter and more than one drip hole which slows the coffee from leaving the grounds too quickly, or it may be because the coffee filter is placed into the decanter. My other coffee makers used a plastic filter, or permanent weave type and the coffee poured through. In order to get hot coffee though you must follow the directions and heat your cup with hot water. It also helps if the water you add is not from the refrigerator. The hottest coffee I've had came from a percolator. I like the fact that the water tank can be removed to fill or left in, and the cup amounts are clearly visible when adding water. I do wish the top had been hinged to the unit though. I also think it is too expensive.

5-0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE BEST ON THE MARKET
Great little mashine.Looks beautiful on the counter top, maches to my other stainless steel appliences.Makes a nice cup of coffee, keeps it hot at all times.LOVE IT

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best In Its Category
I spent a lot of time online looking for a 4 to 5 cup coffeemaker to suit my needs. There are the usual suspects: Mr. Coffee, Braun, etc, that seem to get universally bad to mediocre reviews from people, especially people who know anything about coffee.I decided to skip all of those and look for something that would make a really good cup of coffee.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best coffee maker ever!
We've had a Capresso machine before this one, but there were a couple of annoying little plastic parts (the stop-drip lever, for instance), that required replacement a few times. Nonetheless, the actual machine brewed good strong coffee, so we were overall pleased, though we wished the plastics would get a strengthening or something.
2-0 out of 5 stars Short lived Quality
It was heaven!!For 2 mos., we had tasty fresh brewed coffee with frothed milk at our finger tips.We were spoiled. But now, 4 mos into the $200.00 plus coffeemaker, it is leaking all over the counter if we try to use the "auto" feature. And worse, the threads on the steam nozzle have eroded and the froth feature can only be used if we literally hold the apparatus together with our fingers!Otherwise the pressure blows the nozzlewith a burst of steam, down into the cup below. It is a complete disappointment.I have contacted Capresso and asked for a replacement nozzle.Instead they want me to send the entire coffee maker (leaving me with NOTHING).Very unsatisfactory and for the money, not worth it.I could have spent the $200 on a more reliable machine and frankly, won't buy this brand again.

4-0 out of 5 stars great way to wake up in the morning
THe aroma of freah brewed coffee is a sure way to start my day.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Happy with this coffee maker
We bought this Cuisinart coffee maker after reading the reviews of every single thermal carafe/10-12cup coffee maker out there (our previous Krupps had stopped working, and the current Krupps model got bad reviews).
2-0 out of 5 stars 12 cups, but it overflows if you're not careful and died in one year.
We bought the Cuisinart DTC-975 because it is one of the only 12 cup thermal carafe coffeemakers on the market. The term "cup" is used rather loosely in the coffeemaker world. In the case of the Cuisinart it holds 12 - 5 oz cups for a total of 60 oz. The equivalent 10 cup coffeemaker makes 50 oz of coffee, but some 10 cup makers use a 4 oz cup measurement and make only 40 oz.
5-0 out of 5 stars worth the money
We bought this Coffeemaker because my family in Germany uses this type of machine. We love the fact that our coffee stays hot for some time after its done brewing. We hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

5-0 out of 5 stars coffee pot
It's a great coffee maker for a great price.I take it with me when I travel because it's plastic. This is my second coffee maker because the first one broke from someone over filled it.I would buy it again.

2-0 out of 5 stars If you want quality, look elsewhere...
I purchased this unit due to the fact that you could dispense without a coffee pot. In the past I have usually ended up breaking the glass carafe that comes along with traditional coffee makers. At first, I was very pleased with the unit and thought I made a great purchase. Eventually it started to drip and leak at random. The handle in the water/coffee holder broke. The top of the unit that lifts up broke off completely and now just sort of sits there precariously. Finally, this week it decided that it was not going to work at all. It will not make coffee. It will turn on, but not brew. I have only had this for a year and a half or so. Look elsewhere if you are looking for something that is going to last. (it was only used 2-3 times a week)

1-0 out of 5 stars coffee puddles galore
I bought this coffee maker attracted by the features-no carafe-auto shut off.I still love that aspect of the machine however I have constant puddles of coffee on my countertop.I am about to throw it away after only six months and bring the old Bunn cofeemaker that I have had for 15 years out of storage and had kept "just in case".The concept of the auto shut off is great but if I don't drain any left over cofee out of the machine it all winds up on my counter --so I might as well just turn it off anyway.I had read the reviews where people complained about the drip but thought "how bad can a little drip be".THIS IS NOT A LITTLE DRIP.It will entirely drain the machine if not emptied. Trust the reviews.Do not buy this machine. ... Read more

Both a regular coffeemaker and espresso machine, this1,500-watt appliance has separate water tanks for simultaneouslybrewing drip coffee and espresso. The espresso machine side has abuilt-in frothing system with a milk tank for creating cappuccinos andlattés in their cups. Separate knobs select the strength of bothregular coffee and espresso. Making espresso follows tradition: tampcoffee into a filter basket inside a filter holder, twist the filterholder onto the machine, pour water into the machine's boiler, andpress a button. Depending on the amount of water added, up to four2-ounce cups then flow into an 8-ounce glass carafe. Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Good coffee until a piece broke...
I've had my machine for 7 months (it was the wedding gift I was most thrilled to receive).Unfortunately, it has given me quite a bit of trouble already. My lattes are barely lukewarm, so I have to microwave them every time. The clock light appears only after I unplug and re-plug in the machine. It is a chore to clean the milk container.Coffee grounds come through the expresso part, forcing me to use a small filter. All this I could handle, but then yesterday the little red piece in the milk container broke, leading to a mini-milk explosion during frothing. Now I'm not sure what to do.What will I ever tell my gracious mother-in-law who gave me this lovely gift?If I could go back, I would register for a different machine.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not Worth The Price!!!
Stay away from this one! This is the second model I own since the first one, not even a year old, started leaking all over the place as well as turn on when you weren't even making coffee which is a fire hazard in itself.I thought, okay, maybe I got a lemon. I went through hoops with the company to get another one. Well, I wish I had never bought it in the first place. Although this one does not leak, it still turns on by itself. I have to keep it unplugged so it doesn't start a fire. Definitely not worth the money I spent and will not buy DeLonghi again!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Coffee Maker

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for Hot Water during travel
We used this while traveling overseas - mainly for heating up water. We were able to make tea, hot chocolate, instant soup, oatmeal, etc.It was great!!It's a very compact little machine that makes hot water (or coffee) straight into a little cup that it comes with (which nests on top for storage).

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Suitcase Coffeemaker
Brews a flavorful cup of ground coffee (or makes hot water) quickly and easily.Rating would be a "5" except process and clean-up are a little messy and brewed amount is limited (but that's why it fits in a suitcase!).

4-0 out of 5 stars Zelco Brisk Brew

1-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for
The coffeemaker is a piece of junk. I bought this for my son for his birthday and he got it and it worked two times and then it didnt come back on. So I sent it back and they replaced it with another one and it worked for the first day and it quit working too. So I requested a refund.

I had read the reviews on this product and none of them were good, but the price was right so i gave it a try. When i received it there was already a plastic piece broken off and when i put water in it all came out the bottom. I returned it the next day wishing i had listened to the negative reviews. There is a reason why its priced so cheap, because it is cheap. ... Read more

Easy to use and keeps our coffee hot in the thermal pot. Very easy to program, and clean up is smooth. If you do not use automatic program the on/off switch is the way to go. No real problems, except with the water filter. Hard to install, and no real use.

I had to return this product THREE times because it does NOT (as it says in the description) come with the perfect pour carafe which is what I wanted since the standard carafe drips EVERYWHERE. On the third time of returning it, I asked why they kept sending me the wrong carafe and they said that the perfect pour was discontinued in this size. I then mentioned to Amazon that they might want to remove that part of the description, but they have not.

5-0 out of 5 stars hard to find feature
With the advent of fancy featured coffee makers this is the right coffee maker for us.We like to brew 1 large mug of coffee at a time so we have fresh tasting coffee. Most models now have a carafe with the stop brew feature so you can pour out a cup while it is brewing. But you must use their carafe. With this maker you can use your own mug.And if the carafe breaks (and it costs as much as the maker to replace sometimes) you can still use the maker with the mug or other container.I sometimes use a stainless steel pitcher.Sure this maker isn't fancy, but I just want a simple cup of coffee and this maker does it with an appliance that doesn't take up lots of counter space.I haven't had any problems with messes or clean up with this maker.

2-0 out of 5 stars Faulty Carafe
The Carafe design on this coffeemaker is not very good.No matter how careful or how I adjust my grip, water/coffee leaks from the top and down the side.I have to place a towel under it to prevent a puddle on my counter. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great coffee maker
This unit replaced a Mr Coffee unit that had been in service for only a few months. Had heard that this one was top rated, and since I am the only one here that drinks coffee,I did not need a 12 cup maker.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally, A Brewer Worthy of Praise
My wife and I have always been in search of the "perfect" coffee maker. We first started with the simple caraffe variety which involved manually pouring hot water over the grounds in a cone filter. My wife was fine with it, but it drove me insane to have to stand there and continually add water. We then moved to a Bunn. It was good at first and the "instant" brew feature (water sits in a preheated reservoir much like you see in a diner) was great. However, we moved to a town with hard water and the thing soon choked and died! Contrary to what I knew, I bought a second, more expensive Bunn. What a mistake. We are "real" coffee drinkers. This means that we grind and use a lot of coffee for each pot. The Bunn must have been designed by someone who thinks two scoops of Folgers will make 10 cups of "strong coffee". Result - the brew basket would contantly overflow all over the counter. Needless to say, I found myself - once again - waiting for water to filter through before adding more.
5-0 out of 5 stars Makes The Best Coffee
I have owned at least six other coffee pots and was never satisfied with home made coffee, so Dunkin Donuts was where I would head to on my way to work.I got this coffee pot and I buy Dunkin Donuts coffee and grind it with the Proline Kitchenaid Grinder and it is the best coffee I have ever had.Recently I had a kitchen remodel and the electrician showed up with his cup of coffee in hand from Dunkin Donuts.I asked him later in the day if he wanted a cup of coffee and he was hesitant stating he did not like coffee from home coffee pots.Well, I assured him he would love it. After having my coffee, for the rest of the week he never showed up with his own coffee, actually said, he preferred my coffee. After the job was over, he saw my sister a few weeks later and he mentioned how he missed the coffee I made. This is the best ever, perfect coffee every time and the perfect temperature.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hot, Well-Extracted Coffee from a Beauty
I ordered the KitchenAid Coffemaker with some trepidation after reading some of the comments posted here about poorly designed carafes, coffee grounds overflowing, etc.I was interested in it because of its looks, and also the 1350 watt heat pump that it uses to extract the coffee.

Editorial Review

By brewing directly into a 40-ounce, insulated thermos carafe, this 900-watt drip coffeemaker keeps coffee hot for hours, eliminating the need for a warming plate, which can turn coffee bitter over time. The carafe's lid seals in place during brewing, locking in flavor and aroma, and there's an optional charcoal water-filter cartridge for reducing chlorine in tap water. All this adds up to great-tasting coffee from start to finish. Other features include a digital clock/timer that can be programmed 24 hours in advance to brew "wake-up" coffee, a swing-out filter basket, a permanent GoldTone coffee filter, a removable water tank, an automatic shutoff after brewing, and an automatic interrupter that halts coffee flow if the carafe is removed for a quick pour, and internal cord storage. The sleek coffeemaker measures 13-1/2 inches high by 7-1/2 inches wide by 12 inches deep. Read more

  • Measures 13-1/2 by 7-1/2 by 12 inches

4-0 out of 5 stars Not so bad at all!
Read the mixed reviews below but ordered anyway as this is the smallest high-end thermal.Yes, you have to pay attention until you've got the hang of it, but this model is just fine and brews a great cup of coffee quickly. The "pour" is nice and full with no spills whatsoever. The removable water basket with water filter a very nice feature.Once you learn to (1) securely snap the coffee filter holder into place by making sure either that you've folded down the edges of the paper filter (as required on most coffee makers), or making sure that you've fully positioned the gold mesh filter, and (2) properly screw and unscrew the coffee pot cap, it's a synch to use.ALSO, comes with a gold mesh filter, so don't order one separately as I did.Pre-heating the pot, as w/ most thermals, a good idea.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not worth it...
This is the second coffee maker of this model for us.The first one was a gift and we loved it.About 2 months into use, the switch that allows you to remove the pot during brewing broke and it leaked a bit, but still made a great tasting cup of coffee in a thermal carafe. So, when we started doing our wedding registry, we decided to put this on it, thinking the broken piece was just a fluke.
5-0 out of 5 stars Just bought my second one of these...
When my girlfriend (now my wife) and I moved in together, she had one of these. I sort of adopted it. I loved it, despite a few drawbacks... namely I tend to make a mess with it. But then, I tend to make a mess with just about anything. Also, the doohickey that interrupts the brewing so you can poor a quick cup broke. I was a little disappointed, but soldiered on. It makes a damn fine pot of coffee.

3-0 out of 5 stars Best Quality But Problems
My goal was to find a home brewer that will heat the water hot enough to get good extraction. This is the hotest (fastest) I've found but has so many issues, it is tuff to recomend it.I basically have bought a new one every 18 mths. The 6 cups quantity I usually make tastes so good I'v been able to everlook all of the problems. Maybe the price being so cheap has influenced me too.
1-0 out of 5 stars Not the economic alternative I was looking for
The coffee maker is very plastic feeling, but made adequate coffee for the first couple of weeks. Then the on/off button would stick, coffee began overflowing on a regular basis and grounds were everywhere.I'd have been better off paying more up front for a better machine, than replacing this one now.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worked great....for 10 days
I thought I finally found a great coffeemaker.Coffee was hot, great tasting, and brewed in no time at all.But after 10 days of use, one pot a day, I heard popping noises and smoke started billowing out of it.Not a good thing.I am very disappointed a product like this is even on the market. ...
