Truly practical as well as beautiful
When my dishwasher broke down I went looking for a nice dish rack until I could get it repaired. My existing dish rack was still good but not at all exciting. I read and re-read the reviews on this dish rack for several weeks before I took the plunge and bought it.It was fairly pricey, and I didn't know if it would be big enough.

Stainless steel ?? Don't be fooled !
What a disappointment !!I bought this nice looking dish rack, expecting it to last much longer than the ones sold at general stores.Due to its high price (about 4 times the other dish racks), I persuaded myself that it must be of high quality.Soon after using, signs of rust started to show, and so did my disatisfaction towards Polar products.High price does not always equate high quality.
"Stainless Steel" Is Very Poor Quality
I like the design of this dish rack, but I question whether it is actually made of 18/8 stainless steel.Unlike mild steel, stainless steel should not rust.I purchased this dish rack on 4 September, but it began showing surface rust within a month of normal use as a dish rack.A couple of days ago, one of the spot welds on a corner of the utensil holder broke revealing rust inside the corner seam.I wonder whether Polder actually verifies that the Chinese manufacturer of this dish rack actually uses 18/8 stainless steel.I plan to ask for a full refund of this defective product.

Polder 2-tier dish rack
This is an item made in China, so I consider myself lucky to have received it in good condition.I previously ordered the same item from another on-line vendor and, upon receipt, I found that the rack was welded with bent horizontal rails on one side.It appeared to be a "second."However, the rack I received from Amazon was in perfect condition and I am well pleased.The pictures on the websites would lead one to believe that the rack is brushed stainless steel.However, upon receipt, I was delighted to find that it was, in fact, polished to perfection.The rails which make up the rack are of a quality and gauge that will allow the unit to outlast the owner.The tray is finely finished and polished to a shiny bright.With the caveat of Chinese workmanship in mind, if your unit arrives in good condition, you will be well pleased, and Amazon's price cannot be beaten. ... embarassing but true
I never thought I would write a review on a dishrack..so uncool..however, I do not have a dishwasher, and do alot of dishes.I just thought a person had to struggle with poor quality and keep replacing junk.I first saw this in a store for $52 I thought who would be so crazy as to spend this many $ on a dishrack.I, in a fit of consumer madness, bought mine for $39 on Amazon.What a deal.I love it.So don't be hesitant to get one and don't be embarassed to rave about it.

I have gone through a couple of dishracks before this one which were terrible.They would discolor, were difficult to wash, and were nothing to really look at.They also took up a lot of space on my counter.I love this one, though!It has parts that are dishwasher-safe, removable parts for when you have large platters to place in there, and a section for knives to dry separately from the rest of the flatware.I also love that you can position it vertically or horizontally depending on how much space you have.Both ways have a drainage spout to pour into the sink. good looking, poor quality
I bought this dish rack yesterday after weeks of researching for a stylish, big enough for my need dish rack, I was drawn to this one because I love the look of stailess steel on practically anything, but I am returnig it today, this piece of junk has started to rust after a few dinner dishes, I don't have a dish washer and I hate to hand dry dishes, therefore my dish rack is always on the counter, airdrying itself and the dishes, and I found out this morning, that a few drops of water left on the so call stainless steel rack has rust stain on it, definitely not a good buy, I am heading to target for a less sophisticated but more practical one after I return this junk.

A functional and great looking dish rack
As other have mentioned, the silverware basket hangs outside of the space protected by the tray underneath. This isn't a problem for me, but others might be bothered by it.

I have one and I love it
It's humiliating to be raving about a dish drainer but this is really great. My old drainer always got swampy under the water holder and the water holder always ended up looking crusty and gross. Design flaw
I thought this would be perfect in my stainless steel kitchen; however, the utensil holder is of no use!I probably used it 3 times and gave it away!Do not waste your money.Overpriced product!

bad design
The silverware section, with or without the detachable cage, is atrociously designed.Silverware either falls over or slides through to the bottom of the tray.I find it hard to believe the tray was ever tested by someone doing dishes and silverware.The tray has the single important virtue of being easy to clean, but that's the material not the design.

too small, rusts
I actively dislike this dishrack. As noted, plates and bowls slide out because of open sides, it's too small for anything but VERY casual use (don't buy it if you do all your dishes by hand), and contrary to the PR, it does indeed rust. Water catches in the bottom and has nowhere to drain, so you end up with an unsanitary pool of water under your dishes. Not recommended.

really stainless steel!
i was worried about getting a rack that would rust (as i had read negative reviews about other products).this one has not disappointed!well worth it to spend the extra bucks and get a quality product....

Needs a tray that drains
This dish rack looks awesome in the kitchen, but isn't big enough to hold a lot of dishes.The lay out is such that it fills up pretty quick.Since it's only my wife and I, it suits our needs, and any overflow goes into the dishwasher to dry.The only think I don't like about this rack is the bottom tray, which is neither inclined nor any holes for draining.What more is there to say...it's a dish rack, and serves it's purpose.Yes, it's pricey, but should last a lifetime and I can't say enough about how good it looks in the kitchen. ...
