GREAT COLOR
This food coloring was the best I have ever used.It is very concentrated. I obtained several different shades of purple by adding just a tiny bit each time.I did not notice a flavor at all so I look forward to trying the black.The bottle sizes are very similar to a bottle of finger nail polish.

I love it!
I just purchased this set last weekend, and this weekend I used it to make a birthday cake. I loved all the tips and the booklet has great ideas and clear instructions. Also, the food coloring colored the frosting beautifully.

Not for beginners!
It looks like it would be a good buy. But it really wasn't for me. I purchased this a few months ago when I began decorating cakes. The only thing good I can say about the set is the book was very helpful and easy to follow.The food coloring, while professional coloring, was very hard to use (no dropper), measure (no dropper) and horribly stained everything it came in contact with. It is not for beginners! And while you do get a good assortment of tips - you may find that you do not use half of them. I found I could pick out tips at my local Five and Dime Store for less than a dollar. And if you are considering getting this as a gift for a cake decorating enthusiast, chances are they already have all the tips they would have used from this set. ... Read more

Works fine.
Like all Good Grips items, this is easy to hold and use. Have used it with a variety of frostings including butter cream, sour cream andcreme fraiche, and cream cheese with no problems. Applies nicely and evenly for small and large hands alike. Works much better than the improvised alternatives of butter knife and/or plastic spatula.

The blade is so thin, your just about able to spread soft whipped cream with. Forget frosting or any kind of batter. It's a complete waste of money

Good product
This is a great kit, portable and very well-suited to someone who wants to decorate cakes/cookies but not go all out with wedding cakes, as the largest kit does.
Displeased
I was rather disappointed to find out that I overpaid for this product. I found the same exact product on elitediscountproducts.com ten dollars cheaper. Please take my advice and check this site before any other bakeware site.

8" -- just the right size forthose final touches
This smaller decorating bag is just right when you don't have too much frosting -- larger bags are harder to hold and control when you get down to the very end but the smaller bag allows you to just mix a small amount of frosting and still have the control while decorating.I think it was also easier to do things like writing with this smaller bag.Dishwasher safe but keep in mind Wilton dyes will stain this bag although color from stains won't transfer.These bags are light weight and have a very nice, soft texture that is pleasant to hold.I find they don't slip in my hand or end up bulging like disposable bags do and they aren't as stiff as using parchment paper.While you can still wash and use disposable bags multiple times, the featherweight bags hold up much better. ...
