Just okay
The large and middle-sized cutting boards not only were hard to get stains out of, they continued to smell like the last thing cut on them.Even when scrubbed by hand I could not get the onion or garlic smell out of the board, hence that board was designated for that purpose only. I never felt it was a good idea to put wood in the dishwasher as it literally soaks up anything that is put on it, not to mention that they will warp only that much faster.I kept them though for use as trivets for setting my roasting pans on.I just covered them with aluminum foil and that way they did not burn.As for the little one, it was never used; however, you still can't beat the price, especially when they can be used for other purposes.

Good Price
The only problem is one of the board started to seperate from the middle.It's still together at the moment but it seems that the wood expanded. My wife still likes the cutting board.

Good but mine came off-color
Love the functionality - being able to separate for different uses esp. meat and that they flex to enable direct frop into the pan. But mine came off color (sorta transparent) at the corners (and this wasn't a deisgn feaure since there was no pattern in all the four sheets) but still good value - not worth exchanging so I kept them. I guess mine look unique.

These are now my favorite cutting boards.You can separate the various things you want to cut and they clean up quickly in the sink or dishwasher.They lie flat so you can use them on any surface and the surface is protected.
I will be buying these as presents for all of my family!
I am not sure how I got along without these. The fact that they fit into the dishwasher is a huge selling point. The color coding for food type is simple, yet brilliant. The non-skid feature is an excellent addition to an already perfect product.

Wonderful
There is nothing bad to say about this wonderful cutting board.It's big enough for almost every kind of cutting I do in my kitchen.

Thirsty board!
The board is the right size for carving up a whole chicken and the "moat", while modest in width/depth, kept the counters clean.Another plus is that it is reasonably light for its size.The one small surprise for me is that the wood is so very dry.It soaked up two very generous applications of mineral oil very quickly.If it doesn't come with oiling instructions, you'll still want to oil it as soon as possible and perhaps with multiple applications each spaced out by a day.

What's for dinner?
These cutting boards, with the three different colors to prevent cross-contamination of food, are terrific.Having worked as a cook in health facilities, I am familiar with the problems of food poisoning and how easily it is spread.These cutting boards really help to reduce the dangers of that in my home kitchen.Their flexibility makes them easy to store when they are not in use and they are easy to wash and care for.I wouldn't want to be without them!

Great, but think of them as disposable
When I was in culinary school, we were assigned one board per class. So I started to use one of these on top of a heavy synthetic or wooden cutting board when I wanted to avoid cross contamination. It's a practice I keep up, especially when I doing small scale catering on location (i.e. somone's home) when it's a hassle to bring along a whole bunch of different cutting boards. I order two or three sets of these at a time, and with heavy use, I find they last about six months or so. A regular home cook could probably keep them for a year or more with frequent use.

It's OK but.....
I'm a little disappointed in it mainly because the end falls out when you press the bread against it. I tried a little glue on it but because the sides wobble, the glue just won't hold. It would be nice to be able to adjust the slices but I was aware of that before I bought it.Other than that I find it useful--the slices are still even and that's much better than I could do.

love it
I bought this to help preserve my butcher block and my wooden spoons. It has become impossible to find mineral oil in L.A. apparently. Even Home Depot doesn't carry it (why??) so thank goodness for Amazon! This oil is easy to use and is food safe. I heat it a bit so it spreads easier. it is food grade and has almost no odor at all in fact just a slight 'oily" scent" that wears off when it dries. Certainly nothing chemical-like. I wish it was offered in a larger bottle though. I am here to order 3 more because I have a large butcher block cart to oil regularly and this is only 8 oz.Thank you for offering it!

Nice pastry board
I'd like to first correct the popular but old April 1, 2001 review.This board no longer has grooves on the other side; it's just a smooth surface, but that's still very usable.Second, it does come with an insert that you can mail out for an 8oz bottle of Catskill Butcher Block Oil for $4.95, which seems to be roughly the price that goes for online, but this includes the cost of shipping.The instructions printed on the board are convenient, but a little dough can get stuck in these slight impressions, which a dough scraper will glide over.Lastly, my board had a small .5cm splinter off to the side that my scraper got caught on.I'll have to sand that portion down now.
nice multi-use wood cutting board
This was exactly as described.inexpensive, dense wood cutting board on one side with a nice pastry board on the other.the wood has an attractive grain that is not out of place on the counter full-time.

I was about to buy a big board with the backsplash and the extra "lip" on the front to keep it in place but when I saw this one for a fraction of the cost I went for it and I am glad I did.All I had to do was put a thick cotton placemat under the board and it does not slide at all.And now that I think about it wouldn't that backsplash on some models get in the way of my rolling pin?The manufacturer included a coupon to get a bottle of oil for the cost of shipping alone so I went for that deal and it came in the mail within a week.I am delighted with this board and am so looking forward to making Christmas cookies on it!! ... Better than other wood boards at this price
So far, so good.I have had this cutting boards for several months.I like the concept of bamboo (great durability & no trees have to be harvested).I have owned other types of wood cutting boards in this price range and experienced cracking or warping after initial use.Nothing so far with this cutting board.It is much heavier than I anticipated.Even thought it is heavy, it is thin enough to store easily.I have bigger, heavier cutting boards but this one has become the one I reach for first.Cleans up great.Works great!

great cutting board
this cutting board is such an improvement over my last cheap old ones.This doesn't slip when I am using it and the best part is that is appears (so far) to not stain after cutting on it.I love the blue accents, it matches my kitchen.

Best cutting board I've ever owned!
Something I had not thought of but turned out to be a pleasant surprise is that when you stow it by leaning it against the wall the rubber ends allow it to stand up like that without slipping down across the countertop.Little things mean a lot!I had no trouble with the sticky residue left by the label - having been forewarned by all the kind Amazon reviewers I had my aerosol can of "OOPS" standing by and got the offending stuff off right away.I use this cutting board every day and it is grand.

Light weight board
I've owned this board for a year now.Pros- light weight, you can use very sharp knives on and not get much indentation on the board, compact.Cons- well it can be a con that it is light weight since if you are trying to cut a larger item it might shift, but honestly, if you just get a cutting board that is larger you'd have the perfect cutting board.

Warped immediately
The other reviewer was luckier than I was. Mine warped immediately, which forced off the end pieces.

Pretty nice
I'm pretty pleased with this cutting board so far.It does show cut marks, as other reviews point out, but (at least with me), they're really only visible when the cutting board isn't clean.After I wipe it down with a sponge, it looks great again.

Bought Two, Both Cracked
I purchased this as a Christmas gift in early December. It didn't ship until February, which was okay. By then I liked the way it looked so much, I bought one for myself. They both arrived within a week of one another.
it cracked after using it for 2 wks !!!!
This cutting board was ok only for 2 wks. One day I found a huge crack across the board. I never dropped or did anything to make that huge crack. This one is simply not worth the money. I will never buy this brand again. Paying $50 for a cutting board that only last 2 wks? It was a huge mistake!!!

Great Heavy Cutting Board
It's thicker than most, but that makes it pretty heavy, so it doesn't slide around like thinner ones.The bamboo is hard, really hard since the grain is on edge (vertical), but it gives against a sharp blade, and interestingly it appears to kind of "heal" after an indentation is made.So far I think this is one of the greatest cutting boards I have ever used.Seems pretty impervious to oils and stains, etc. ... Wood is too soft
This cutting board is made of very soft, almost balsa-like wood. In a few short weeks mine has a chewed up surface and I doubt if it will last a year. I have to locate a cutting board made of rock maple, the good old fashioned mainstay of the meat cutting trade, with good reason. Save your money and avoid this cheapie. ... Read more

Good idea, poor execution
I really like the raised edges of these boards when working with wet ingredients, like cutting tomatoes. However, the thin material of the boards warps/cups, making the board rock on its center on the counter. This combined with the slippery nature of the material itself makes for a very frustrating if not dangerous situation while chopping. The only solution I have found is to put a folded damp kitchen towel under the board to stabilize it. Frankly, that's more trouble than it's worth. For now, I am just using them for holding ingredients after I have prepped them on a better cutting board.

Nice "serving" board, not the best for chopping/cutting.
I ordered two of these for use in my kitchen. As the previous reviews stated these are GREAT for serving. I agree that these are perfect for serving snacks, fruit, etc. Though these should not be considered anything more then light duty cutting boards. The lip they have make it near impossible to mince safely, and they tend to slide around quite a bit since they're made of plastic and do not have any rubber/cork/etc feet. They are fine for carefully slicing fruit/tomatoes/etc. Though if you need something to do some regular knife work around the kitchen I'd recommend the plain plastic cutting boards for a quick and cheap solution.

These are my favorite cutting boards.Cuisinart makes 3 cutting/prep boards, round, square and rectangle.I bought them in a set all together, I use at least one everyday.They are dishwasher safe so clean up couldn't be easier and they will not dull your knives, absorb odors or collect bacteria.They are all slightly raised around the edge so liquid will not spill on your counter, perfect for tomatoes or anything else you are chopping.I actually just ordered a second rectangle one.You can even use them for outdoor serving, fruit, cheese, etc.Highly recommended!
