Good knife, but an uncomfortable size.
I bought this thinking I'd be happier with it than a shorter paring knife, but I think that may have been an error.The blade itself is sharp and cuts nearly anything, but I find I use it minimally.Its too big for any high detail work, where I find myself fumbling and too small for any rougher work, where I endlessly reach for my santoku knife.

Great cutting board!
My mom bought me one for a gift & it's the only cutting board I will ever have. I've had them for around 20 years!It has fit every sink & has been a great product. These usually last me a couple years (then I purchase a new one) and then they will start to warp or crack but figure you only pay $13, it's well worth it. I've bought more expensive ones but they aren't adjustable & they're really heavy! Not something you want to deal with every day. I highly recommend this product.

Pretty dang good board
My wife bought this board and she loves it. Despite what the other reviews have said, our board works great. We called Catskill for advice on how to keep the board from splitting and they gave us great advice. I highly suggest this board. We'll be buying them for gifts now.

Very nice knife
I suspect if I was a professional chef I would know the difference and buy the super expensive other brands, but for a recreational cook I find these knives to be supurb.The price is right, the balance and heft is great, and they hold a fine edge.I usually run them through a hand sharpener before I use them, and they are always razor sharp.To restore edges (I haven't had to do that yet with these knives) I use the "scary sharp" sandpaper on glass method.

Excellent knife
My grandparents always had quality knives when I was growing up.As I stocked my own kitchen, I searched for the best quality I could afford.I've tried Henkels and Chicago and both were disappointing.I bought this knife and was so impressed that I bought another and also bought one for my mother.It is superb in quality and comfort.I prefer the traditional handle over the contemporary handle.I put this knife in the diswasher and have had no problem with the handle.Great buy.

This is an excellent choice
Recently, I picked up this knife on sale at a local store and was very pleased with the quality and value it affords.I have long been a fan of Calphalon cookware and my impression now is that this same quality extends to their cutlery line as well.The blade was pretty sharp right out of the package, and with just a bit of work it was very sharp.The size and heft of this knife are very comfortable in my hand, and I find myself selecting this one from the knife drawer whenever I have a kitchen task where a full sized chef's knife would be overkill.I highly recommend this purchase! ... Very handy
I've had this little guy for over a year now and I love it.I love having these useful items handy at all times.The drive detaches so if you need that part on the plane you can just stick it in your pocket.The only thing I would do different is get a larger drive but the 128MB is good for most things.

Incredibly tough
I went swimming this morning and forgot to take this knife out of my pocket.I swam for a good 30 minutes with the knife completely submerged in salt water.I assumed it was ruined.
Traveling with this device
A couple of the reviewers mentioned that you cannot carry-on this item with you on planes, and yes, this is true of any "knife" post 9/11.However, you can put this device (and any other pocket knife for that matter) into CHECKED luggage.I've taken this item with me inside my checked luggage through many airports without problem. ... Nice knife.
All I can say is this knife is SHARP right out of the box.The Wusthof and Henkels (high end models e.g. Classic and Five Star) knives cut like butter, but I prefer the Wusthof's look and feel.The only problem is I am too scared to used these fancy knives, because I slightly cut myself when I was cleaning them since everyone says not to put them in the dishwasher.

I have the 8 inch cooks knife as well but find myself using the 6 inch more frequently.
A great knife, but I shoulda got it in 8"
This is a terrific knife - chops well, great feel, I like everything about it.My only complaint is that I should have bought the 8" blade instead of the 6" blade.While this knife is more maneuverable than the larger 8" or 10" blades in this series, this blade overlaps in utility with most Santoku blades which are usually only available in sizes up to about 7" or so, and which I also have.Not a knock on the knife, but if you're building a set, I recommend going for the larger blade if you have a decent utility knife in the collection already or something else in the sub-8" range.

Best Knives i have ever owned
These are the best knifes i have ever owned.I did not realize how bad my current knifes were until i recieved these.Even the bread knife is sharp.I use these everyday(vegetable knife mostly) and they are holding up pretty well.
