The best corkscrew around...
How can you go wrong with this. If your into keeping your cork perfect condition and not leaving pieces of cork around or in the wine than this is for you. May seem a bit awkward at first but when you get the hang of it it works like a charm. Get it if your into wine or know someone who is.

It's all in the technique
I think this is the best style of cork remover as it saves the integrity of the cork so one doesn't get pieces of cork in the wine. I own several of this style of varying brands. The trick is to gently rock the prongs on either side of the cork until it is completely touching the top of the cork. Then as you are removing the cork, do so in a pulling clockwise twist motion. I've never had any problem, but a friend thinks this style is a pain and I think the same of her conventional cork damaging corkscrew. Once you get the knack of it, you'll quit using the conventional style.

I keep one of these around to use on damaged or brittle corks that I think a corkscrew will destroy.You slip the long end down one side of the cork and wiggle it back-and-forth until the other end slips down too.The wiggling forces it all the way down over the cork, and you then pull the cork by twisting up and pulling slowly.Read more

This is the one to get!
Easy to use & smooth as velvet! I love it when I find something that works as it's supposed to, and this is an excellent example! Not clunky or cumbersome, but small and lightweight, this corkscrew is designed so it positions the corkscrew in exactly the right place on the cork--foolproof! Best corkscrew I've ever owned
I picked this up on a friend's recommendation and was so pleased with how easy it was to use that I later bought one for my mother.It works great on the most stubborn of corks.It's practically effortless!I used to use the waiter's corkscrew, but it was often a challenge trying to pull (or wrestle!) the cork all the way out.And I never mastered using the Ah-So.So I highly recommend this corkscrew even though it's a bit pricey.You can probably find a less expensive one of a similar style which should work just as well, I think. ... It's an average bottle opener
Average but great for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I would highly recommend this one over cheaper brands, however I was more in the market for a professional model and will soon buy one to replace this one. This one is good for someone just getting into wine as it is removable from the stand and has good pull. If you open lots of bottles of wine it is worth your time to invest in a really good one, my opinion being Screwpull brand as it has the furthest extension on the market (translates to smoothest pull). ...
