PERFECT!
I love this cookbook holder. It holds my spiral bound cookbooks, my hardbound Le Cordon Bleu cookbooks and my giant vintage cookbooks just as well as my small little cooking magazines.I leave it on my counter displaying my ever changing vintage cookbook collection when not in *real* use :-)

The Best Yet
This cookbook holder is the best yet. The easy fold down acrylic front makes turning the pages a snap plus it protects the pages from splatter and stains. The groves make it easy to accommodate books of all sizes. A wonderful product to own and to gift.

Versatility, yes!
This is the first holder that I've had that holds everything from a piece of paper to the thickest cookbook I have without falling over.Yet it folds up quite flat to be put away easily. Just okay
I bought this book holder just the other day and so far am not especially pleased with it.On the positive side, it seems very stable and does hold a book while protecting it from splatter.Also, it is able to hold single printed pages in it, as they just stick to the inside of the acryllic surface, I guess due to static electricity.The negatives, however, are a little more significant.The way that the book holder clamps the book from behind makes it difficult to get books in and out of it.If they are very skinny you can just pop them in, but if they are at all wider than the narrow opening you have to prop it open with one hand while using the other hand to try to squeeze the book in.Also, and this may be a bit hard to describe well, the rear wing of the book holder that clamps against the books is folded over on top so that books get a smooth entry into the book holder.But it has a real rough edge underneath the fold, and when you try to pull a hardcover book back out it really scrapes it up.No matter what technique I try, I can't seem to get a hardcover book out of the book holder without chewing up the binding a bit.I've already gone back to propping my hardcover books up against a phone book to read them.

not great for large spiral bound, good otherwise
I've found that while this works perfectly fine for most of my books, it is not easy to fit the large spiral bound books into it.
So good I gave them as gifts!
I ordered SIX of these cookbook holders and gave 5 to other family members as gifts.

Perfect Gift
I received this recipe organizer as a gift from my Mother-in-law and I absolutely love it. The red leather cover is beautiful and modern. I've transferred all my recipes into this binder because it is so easy to use and the cards are protected from spills. I love it so much I'm purchasing it for my mother-in-law for her birthday. A perfect gift for anyone!

handy for smaller collections

Perfect Solution
Clear plastic sleeves are the perfect solution for 4 x 6 cards. When writing out your recipe collection on cards, it is nice to know you won't be rewriting them all the time. These covers are easy to see through and will protect cards when you need to turn them over while cooking.

ABSOLUETLY WONDERFUL
Receieved the cookbook yesterday.I LOVE IT.The detail is very nice but more importantly is how well made it truly is.
