don't buy it
i received this product in the mail 5 minutes ago, opened the box and pulled it out for testing. the pos doesn't work. the power won't come on. i replaced the battery with a new one and it still won't light up. I guess I got the 1 in a million that made it through quality assurance defective. great workmanship, guys.

You have to turn the meat. You have to take the internal temperature. Why do you need one pointy thing to turn and one other pointy thing to take the temperature? You don't! This fork does it all. GREAT IDEA.

The quality is good, if not the best. The jar lifter, for example, is a little less hefty than what I had before and I didn't really need another set of Tongs. However, they get the job done and the price was far less than buying each item individually. I really like the jar opener.

Frustrating, dulls quickly
I have used this peeler only a few times and it is already quite dull. It is now practically impossible to peel an apple with it, although on straight peels, like carrots, it still works like any other mediocre peeler. Also, the "swivel" never really worked well. It was always difficult to peel a curved surface like an apple with this thing.

Great Quality
For a kitchen gadget that you normally categorize as a "can do without" item, I have found this a very useful kitchen tool. I had used the mesh type before and found they didn't last and were a pain to clean. This is a quality item. It is easy to clean and does it's job very well.

Great for rolling dough and pastry
I prefer this silicon mat over the Silpat as a pastry mat. Not only does it have the nice size guides, it's thinner and sticks down to the counter better. Nice large size for most work, and versatile enough to use in the oven as well. Of course, being silicon, you get the usual non-stick properties that make it so excellent for dough and pastry work.

A "must buy" item
These things are great!I especially love the fact that it sticks (slightly) to my counter top so it is stable while I'm working with my dough, etc.It also cleans up easy and then sticks to my cabinet door over my sink to drain after washing! I can finally dump my old stiff plastic pastry mat that I had to anchor down so that it didn't move all over the place.

Works great while it works
This product does an excellent job of chopping everything from nuts to cheese.But, after only a year and a half of light use, it quit working. The blades still spin, but it no longer is capable of chopping anything. So, unless you are fascinated by spinning blades, it is useless.Not a good life cycle for an appliance.

Nice chopper
This cute chopper is a big help to me. It makes fast and fine chopping-up and saves a lot of time for me. It's a little bit small and contains only "pulse chopping" control. However, I found it easy and convenient to use, and is sufficient for single or couple family use.

Beautiful, functional and affordable!
The title says pretty much about it. I just installed it this weekend. It is absolutly beautiful and functional. After hanging several pots and pans, the light weight is not an issue at all and it actually make you feel safer since there is also less weight on the roof. You won't go wrong with this rack. However, our house has a pretty high ceiling and I need to get some longer chains to hang the rack. Other than that, it is perfect.

The is the easiest pepper grinder to Unfill I have ever set my hands on!! While it is easy to fill and has a great grind, all the good points are nullified when dining area cleanup is required after a user can easily open the filling port during use.The fill port opens in THE SAME TWIST DIRECTION AS GRINDING and is located where fingertips will overlap the grind wheel and just touch the rotating fill port cover. If the next user does not keep the grinder vertical when passing or using, pepper corns will spill and roll in a most inconvenient manner at the worst possible time.I would send the designer to a hell of picking up peppercorns for eternity!

I always try to buy aesthetically pleasing things (e.g. the Vic Firth stainless salt mill) but sometimes you just have to go with what works -- this works.Actually, it mills so fast that it takes some getting used to but it is worth it ... but it not the prettiest mill ...

Fantastic Gadget
This was a surprise gift. A just because I wanted to, gift. Opening a bottle of wine could not get any easier. I don't know why this opener wasn't available sooner, it is such a great gadget. Anyone who enjoys wine should have one of these wonderful gadgets in their household. wouldn't hold a charge
I loved it when I first got it.I charged it by the directions, and used it for all my cans with no problem.When it ran out of juice I recharged it according to the directions.The next day it wouldn't work.It had enough power to turn if I closed it by hand, but it wouldn't cut through a lid.I held it closed and ran it out and tried to charge it once again (that was from the troubleshooting guide).Still couldn't cut through a lid.It would run if I closed it by hand, but it never cut a lid again.I tossed it and bought a manual one that still works.

Gizmo is hard to handle
My Gizmo is extremely hard to position, to get it started cutting.After 4 or 5 tries, I finally get it started - but it's very frustrating.Also, since it lacks a handle, it is hard to handle while trying to position it.
Handy but clunky
The Gizmo works somewhat well, but can be hard to start on the lip of the can, and most of the time, when it's through, and U lift the arm to remove the can lid, the little arm w/the magnet wants to pop off. Slight bit of nusance. Also, unless it's always plugged in, resulting in an absolutely full charge, she will get a bit 'sleepy' after about the third can.Bought it for someone who has limited hand mobility, and she is unable (most of the time) to even load the Giz-no on to the lip. Even though this trash can is pricey, it is well worth it. The inside is quite spacious for a 10 gallon can and it has a great looking exterior. The slow closing lid is a real noise stopper.

There is nothing bad to say about this wonderful cutting board.It's big enough for almost every kind of cutting I do in my kitchen.

Thirsty board!
The board is the right size for carving up a whole chicken and the "moat", while modest in width/depth, kept the counters clean.Another plus is that it is reasonably light for its size.The one small surprise for me is that the wood is so very dry.It soaked up two very generous applications of mineral oil very quickly.If it doesn't come with oiling instructions, you'll still want to oil it as soon as possible and perhaps with multiple applications each spaced out by a day.

it is what it is...
it took a bit of time to get the hang of this tool, but once i did the zuchinni 'pasta' turned out fairly well. sure, it's more work and not the same as normal pasta, but for those of us that can't eat normal pasta, it's been a nice tool to have. i think it works fine and for what it's intended for, but i do agree with having to waste a decent amount of your zuchinni to get it aligned correctly.

Amazing for exactly one thing...
I've had my Saladacco for a couple years and pull it out every summer when it's too hot to boil pasta and zuchini is in season. I use it for exactly one thing: making great angel-hair (or thinner) "pasta" from zuchini. I have to agree with all of the reviews here:

This is all you could ever want in a Fondue pot.So much so, I bought two of them!It heats up quickly, cools down quickly and absolutely nothing sticks.As another reviewer stated, "Goodbye Sterno!"Works equally well with cheese, meats and seafood.

Some great design with some serious drawbacks
Being a fondue lover, when I first saw this new Cuisinart electric fondue maker, I had an "Aha!" moment, and purchased the pot looking forward to a future of only using those smelly little sterno cans for nicely subdued pink outdoor lighting, (yes...I am kidding), instead of heating my food. At first blush, this Item has some great features. Large pot, detachable cord, easy clean nonstick interior, full immersability and variable heating temperatures. Now for the bad news. The pot does not detach from the ever so immense and functional stand, making it a very large pot indeed. difficult to store, almost impossible to refrigerate in newer center split refrigerators that have smaller shelf space....like mine. Tres cumbersome. The cord is extremely short, almost always calling for an additional extension cord. Fabulous if you like that industrial look while dining or entertaining, unfortunate if you don't. The worst flaw?The tendency to heat unevenly dang it! Because the heat is concentrated around the widely spaced heating elements on the bottom of the pot, we have noticed that this is creating marks in the non stick surface and overcooked areas and even burns the cheese at the bottom of the pot. Quelle horreur!Now we see clearly why this pot is non-stick. It has to be if there is even a remote chance of getting the burnt bits off without using dynamite. We tried far lower temperature settings,or even varying the temperature, thinking this would remedy the problem, but then instead of the one true hot, gooey, melty fondue, we ended up with semi-chilled, semi melted cheese lumps. Not as appetizing as you might think. No doubt, a better product for oil than cheese or chocolate. Also, No lid sigh...Well, I guess you can't have everything, but this Cuisinart fondue pot is sleek and pretty and burnt bits or not, at least I'm only using the left over sterno for "candle-lit" baths until it runs out (...yes...I am kidding again). However, I am still looking for a better fondue pot.

Just purchased the Cuisinart electric fondue pot and so far, I've been really pleased with it.Have done both oil and cheese fondue with it and both turned out quite nicely.Heat control settings dial in accurately, the non-stick surface on the inside of the pot makes clean-up a breeze, and the magnetic cord disconnect makes transferring the pot from countertop to dinner table (or even the living room floor if you really want to go 70's!) safe and easy.The stainless finish on the pot and chrome legs make it a smart-looking package, too.:-)

Good Tool
Used regularly for over a year.Wouldn't roast a turkey in the oven or BBQ a pork shoulder on the outside grill without it.Much more convenient than probe-type thermometers because you can leave the oven door/grill lid shut.Alarm works for time or temperature, so you really must not be paying attention if you overcook anything with this tool.No problems so far, but I handle it carefully.It is, after all, just plastic.

Not a bad product, if you are careful with the probe
I first got a timer/thermometer as a Christmas gift, and loved the idea of it.Unfortunately the one that I got never beeped....well, it never beeped loud enough for an ear more than 6 inches away to hear it anyway.So I quickly got another one, the Pyrex Professional digital thermometer/timer.
Problem Probe
Very limited use of this product before it failed.Used on grill last and probe failed."high" Temp reading and will not reset.Would not suggest you using or buying this product.Might be a great timer though!! ... Read more

Works For Me
Great for cooking and short period aquifer pump tests. I only wish it had a little cloth bag for protection in the field, but I'll find one somewhere. Note: When setting the clock you have to enter the seconds amount or the time setting won't stick. The price is great as I bought two on a "Pre-Order" for a dollar-off and will give-up one towards a raffle here at work. As a pre-order it did take a month to get it, but worth the wait.
