Stain Shield Works
I have had my set for several years and haven't had any problems. The stain sheild works great especially if you microwave alot. I eat a lot of pasta with red sauce and not stains. The different sizes fit well in the new style lunch boxes. I got rid of all my old Tupperware and replaced them with Rubbermaid and Snapware products. If you have a problem with any item, you can mail it back to Rubbermaid and they will replace it.

One Handed Wonder
I own 2 of the countertop model and love them.When I saw this--I had to get more.Works like a charm.I was able to mount vertically but had to add a plastic disc to bottom of spindle to keep towels from unraveling off roll.

Like pretty much everyone else here, I am totally pleased with this towel holder. It has simple installation, it looks clean and modern, you really can dispense towels with one hand (and it really isn't that noisy -- I have skittish cats and they got used to it right away), and my favorite part is that you attach the towel roll by just sliding it along the rod, rather than having to pull apart two sides to hold it up, like with a lot of other towel dispensers. Just a GREAT peeler
I am a fan of this "style" peeler as they are typically easier to hold. I would have to say this is the best peeler I have owned. Over my 25 years of cooking I have had about a dozen different brands of this type of peeler.This one is super sharp, easy to hold, and best of all you can replace the blades when needed in the future. The only downside, if you can call it that, is that it takes a thicker peel than other similar peelers. I would recommend this to anyone who peels vegetables on a regular basis, it will save you time! It's also wonderful if you want thin strips of carrot or cucumber for salads, that is the positive side of a slightly thicker peel.

If you are shopping for a wonderful peeler that really does a great job this is the one. It is built in a sturdy way and has a replaceable blade. It does a great job on difficult peels. The one caution I would give is that since I get cuts all over whenever I use a peeler for this one, the cut will be stronger than another peeler. Therefore do what I did.

we love our silpats
We love to bake cookies and the silpats we've gotten make baking much easier. Cookies don't stick to the pans ever. My husband had to convince me to use the silpats, but now that I've been using them, I can't stop. They're a really useful kitchen tool.

Great timer!!!
I've been using mine almost daily for cooking and/or laundry, and it is still running off the original battery after more than 6 months. The one small criticism that I have is that the buttons are too easily pushed, and I can't stick it in my pocket without stopping it or changing the setting somehow.Other than that, it's ALL good...

No frills but does the job
It's cheap, it's huge, and it counts down and up. This is exactly what I needed. I use it for music practice - it has a magnet on the back and sticks right to my music stand. Nice, big buttons so it's easy to pause or add time. Big display so it doesn't have to be right in front of you. And decently loud alarm so you can hear it when you're playing. I even dropped it onto a wood floor and, although I spent some time finding the scattered parts, it still works. 4 stars instead of 5 because it has NO OTHER FEATURES whatsoever - not even a normal clock - but definitely a good purchase.

Great little tool
I just got the Aerolatte this morning and am blown away with it.Everyone should have one for mixing, and foaming milk.this helped produce the perfect cup of coffee in the kitchen, I ordered a French Coffee Press with it.Boiled the water, grinded the beans medium grind then steeped the beans and water for 4 mins.Poured it in the cup then used the aerolatte to foam the milk.Poured it in and created a cup of coffee that was so smooth it would go with any meal.the milk added such an extra creamy dynamic to my morning cup.I thoroughly enjoy this little device, it has power to spare! Be sure to put it back in the case after using it.

These work great to get that extra out of the bowls. I am very particular about my spatulas. I love Pampered Chef items, but do not care for their spatulas. They do not seem to slide very well. The MIU ones slide easily on all surfaces.

Tool Holder Falling Off or Bending??? Try This!!!!
I purchased this item after reading the reviews that appear here. Several people mentioned that the tool holder would fall off if you removed the lid; another mentioned that heat from the grill had made the hooks bend out of shape.My solution was to purchase the Weber Condiment Holder and hang the tool holder on the outside of that rack.Problems solved!! My utensils are close at hand and there is no risk of getting burned by touching the outside of the grill.

How could you go wrong for FOUR bucks?
For 4 bucks, this product is great. It is easy to install and holds my tools. Be warned that the tools may get a little hotter than you expect, but once the BBQ cools off from its initial super hot phase (the first 15 minutes) it works very well. I find that it works better with tools that have the little leather rope to hang them by. This tool is a must when I am grilling in a public area and don't really have a good place to put my tongs or spatula.

I could *not* believe my eyes the first time I saw someone use a Rabbit. I've shredded SO many corks and even broken bottles trying to get corks out. I've tried so many different kinds of corkscrews (and the two-pronged non-screw-type cork-pullers), and I've been all kinds of frustrated. Great invention, poor execution
I bought the Taylor Wireless digital cooking thermometer with remote pager, Model #1474, from Amazon in July 2005.
Easy Cooking
I first seen the Taylor Wireless Thermometer on a cooking show thought it would be a useful accessery. I have since purchased two one for my son and the other for me.We both have had very good results and would highly recommend this product.The remote comes in handy the alarm is easy to hear and accurate.

Base appears to work- but remote is a joke
This is a cheap piece of junk.The base won't communicate with the remote even after extensive review of directions and trying different channel selections as directed.The plastic housings are so lightweight I don't think it'd survive ordinary outdoor use either.Certianly not a drop off your grill.Felt like I had to handle it gingerly so I didn't crush it with my hands.This one is going back -Sorry AZ. ... This is my second bench scraper.The first was a single sheet of metal that curved to form a handle.The measurements were painted on it.I probably paid $3 for it.After repeated use and trips to the diswasher, the measurements began to wear off and the bottom started to get uneven.

Yes, it's good at what it does: scraping. As an added bonus, there are measurements on the scraper in case you really need to get precise with the dough you're scraping off the counter. This thing does a great job of cleaning up the countertop after kneading bread and getting flour all over the place. Love them, but cracking is definitely an issue!
I have been using Foodsaver canisters for just over one year now, and I own quite a few, of varying sizes.A good percentage of them have cracked over that period of time.(I hand wash the bottoms, wipe out the lids as directed, no temperature extremes, no abuse.They just crack in my pantry.)Normally, experiencing this (repeatedly) would be enough for me to swear off a product and never mess with it again, but when they're working, they work really well, and I have to say that Tilia's customer service stands behind these canisters.They have cheerfully replaced every single one that's mysteriously cracked. (I did not ask them to replace the one my husband dropped and destroyed!)Because they've given me no hassles about replacing their canisters, I have little hesitation about continuing to purchase their products.My recommendation is to keep a record somewhere of the date and place of purchase for your canisters; they'll want this information if you call for a replacement.The warranty period is one year; when they send a replacement, it's guaranteed for a year too.

I was very unhappy with this product.I ordered several cannisters and 3 out of 5 cracked after the first use!!!I did everything that they recommended and they all cracked in the same manner.The people at Foodsaver were very happy to replace them because they are under "warranty" but I am surprised to see how fragile this product is.FYI, they will not warranty the products sold on E-Bay.I should have listened to the reviews and not taken a chance on this product.

No problems for over a year
I don't know how I ever got by without a Foodsaver before.I bought mine over a year ago, along with extra canisters, and I've had no problems so far.I was surprised to see so many reviews about cracked containers - all of mine are fine, and I use them often!I only handwash them, like the directions say, so maybe that's helped prolong their life.The whole system is great; the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's so expensive (accessories too)! ... WORKS GREAT IF YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT
This jar sealer is a necessity if you have a Foodsaver!Much cheaper than using those expensive canisters and it keeps your food fresh!There's nothing better than opening a jar and hearing the whoosh of air going in!Lets you know it's fresh!For all of those reviewers who had problems with it sealing, I have a tip that should eliminate those sealing problems.When you seal the jar put TWO mason lids on top, one on top of the other.Then seal the jar.The top lid should pop right off and the bottom lid will be vacuumed tight and secure! (If the top lid doesn't come off right away, just give it a few hours and it will come loose.)Not sure why it works this way, but it does!For those jars that you seal for longer than a week I would recommend checking the seal every once and a while.I have had a jar lose it's vacuum a time a two. BUT a great majority of the time it remains sealed.Highly recommend!

I had hoped to use this with Mason jars to greatly expand my available vacuum storage for crushable/bulk items, without paying the high price for the containers. But it doesn't actually work, even when you think it does.

Complete and utter disappointment.
I was overcharged a considerable amount of shipping costs due to misrepresentation of the product weight (according to the shipping company AND other websites it weighs 10.3 lbs yet I was charged shipping costs for 22.5 lbs!) Both this site and the supplier's site continue to list the weight as 22.5 lbs. Since both companies are aware of the "discrepancy" it is intentional misrepresentation and I believe many customers are due a considerable refund. As if that weren't enough, I didn't notice at the time I opened the box that the pot had substantial damage to the rim yet the lid didn't, so it appears it was packaged after the damage occurred. I had to hammer-out the dented rim and re-paint all of the resulting chipped-off coating. (After all the aggravation I just couldn't bring myself to send it back and have to communicate with the supplier again)! This must be the worst online purchase I have ever experienced! If the weight represented is not corrected on both websites I will report it the Better Business Bureau.

Excellent Buy...especially from Uncle Joe's!

vacu vin pineapple slicer!!! A narvel
I have not purchased a ripe pineapple due to the fact that it is so difficult to hand peel. So I have gone without this delicious fruit for too long. I happened on the slicer while browsing amazon and could not believe they had such a tool! I ordered it right then and it arrived in a few days. All that was said about it is really true! It cuts a pineapple in a matter of seconds leaving a very attractive bowel, the pinapple it self.

I am a cook for the US Army, and I have been using Taylor Instant-Read Dial Thermometer's for over 5 years now. It is quick reading, easy to use, and reliable. I would use this thermometer over any of the newer digital ones. Most thermometers as with most things need to be recalibrated. Taylor has supplied a calibration device on the carry case!

Not that bad..
First of all, they aren't really intended for the novice user, but they are perfect for the long run. The wooden ones WILL rot before you ever get skilled with them, but these stainless steel ones will take a licking and keep on picking.
NOT the same as Joyce Chen's steel chopsticks
These sticks aren't ringed on the lower end.However, these might be slightly better as well as slightly heavier.

Feels like home
My mother is Korean and so I grew up using stainless steel chopsticks.Apparently they're quite popular in Korean households...as well as stainless steel rice bowls.You might have seen them, the ones with the stainless lids?

Gummy handles in dishwasher
We have had this garlic press for a number of years, but now its handles have turned so gummy from repeated dishwashing that they turn the kitchen counter black just by laying it down. Plan on buying a new one every couple of years.

Excellent feel and weight!
This is the best garlic press I have used. Very nice weight. Easy to use and clean. The only thing negative about it is the plastic cleaning teeth that can be broken while cleaning if not handled carefully.

She's so heavy...
I have always been annoyed by the difficulty with cleaning my old garlic press, so I decided to upgrade my own press when I was online buying a wedding present.This is a great quality press and it cleans up so easily.The only drawback for some people with small hands might be the weight and thickness of the handles.However, it presses easily and smoothly, so for most hands that might not be a problem at all.The gadget I bought at the same time that I really love is the silicone garlic peel remover.It is so fun to use.I have to stop myself from peeling more garlic than I need! ... Extruded pasta -- for rolled pasta, get a crank roller!
We make a lot of pasta at our house.Because of arthritus in my hands, hand kneeding is out of the question -- so to make up a batch of dough, I use either my Simac -- my bread machine -- or my food processor.Any of the three will make acceptable pasta dough.However you do need to know going in that the dough is going to be tougher, harder, and less pliable than any bread or cookie dough.It's basically a damp flour rock.
EASY PASTA
I'm not sure what the other complaints are about.There are no new pasta makers on the market and this was previously considered the best.This is not a "pasta for dummies" machine.You need to use common sense and alrady feel comfortable cooking.But is is a million times easier than pasta from scratch.I love this machine and will use it for years to come. . .

Very Disappointed
I bought the Simac MX700 PastaMatic Pasta Maker to replace my Cuisinart pasta maker.My Cuisinart was a bull at making pasta.It made 1-1/2 pounds at a time and was never a problem.I do not feel the same way about the Simac.Mine would overheat during extruding.Also, it barely made enough pasta to feed my family of 4.It finally died after 1-1/2 years of use.When I say died I mean it started smoking and making very strange noises. Also, there is no way I was going to send it back to Italy for service. I have resigned myself to purchasing homemade pasta at the store. I wish I could find a better pasta machine.What I really wish is that Cuisinart still made a pasta machine. ... Read more
