Perfect
There seems to be an emphasis on mesh strainers in this country, and thats all I seem to find in the grocery stores. Perhaps thats why Joyce Chen created this product - deep frying is alot easier without a mesh because mesh strainers do not allow the hot oil to drain fast enough or completely. Then when this happens you end up with alot of oil soaked fried onion rings, calamari or pakoras - whatever it is. This strainer is a must have for proper deep frying.

I bought this bowl so I could easily mix pancake and crepe batter.I have been more than pleased with it.Since it's by Pyrex, it's microwave and dishwasher safe and the handle is great to hold the bowl steady while whisking your ingredients together.

Anyone who knows Pyrex knows its products need no review. I grew up using my mom's pyrex measuring cups, so I didn't hesitate to buy these when I needed some of my own. When it works it works great, but...
I purchased this product about two years ago and it's great for cooking meats on the grill. No more second guessing whether the chicken is done (or overdone).
A real lemon.
Used it 4 times and it worked great. The fifth and last time I tried it, (it's now going into the trash can.)it gave such a false reading that I screw up my nice lamb shoulder. Best to use the old fashioned instant thermometer - at least it's accurate. So there you are - $39 for a usless thermometer and $11 for a ruined lamb shoulder.

This product was great for the first 3 months of use. It worked really well and we were very happy campers. Our friend bought one and his lasted through only 2 uses, ours died unexpectedly after s couple months usage.

Works ok BUT...
I'm not sorry that I purchased it. It works, but I think that it could work better. When beginning to turn it, I find myself having to push on the blade to get a good peel going. The blade does skip here and there. I don't think the arm is heavy enough and doesn't press against the apple like it could. I find that it skips here and there and that I have to go back and repeel some times. I'll keep this one! Not too bad. A heck of a lot better than peeling by hand. Much faster too. easy to clean up.

Great design but a pain to clean
The apple peeler and corer does what it says it does pretty well. However it has a couple of serious flaws, it is difficult to remove apple cores from the prongs, I cut my thumb badly trying to do this.More generally the design makes it very difficult to get clean and dry and, because it is made of steel, drying it well is essential. Despite my best efforts the central shaft on mine has rusted.

Feels heavy, looks good, and performs well.The brush utensil, though, left behind its shards of 'brushes' as I used it. That's what kept this score low.Purchased the grill, utensils, rotisserie, and cover at the same time.See my other feedback for those items.This is a 'decent' set of 'tools' but you might do better at your local store.

It's HOT!!....
I don't like how hard it is to open it to pour liquid in/out. You have to press a button AND at the same time; get your finger-nail somehow into a crevice that looks like it's one piece and doesn't come apart. Once you open it, it looks like a bird beak opening up. Also, I wish that the top came all the way off so it could be washed easier since it looks like it would not be a good idea to get water into the top.

Good while it lasts
I have purchased this item twice. The first barely made it through a grill season and the second proved even less hearty. The grill gets too hot for the wire and it burns through leaving two pices of probe wire. There is no way to use this with a grill and get sustained use from it. The same is true of all brands.. Models sold as "wireless" are not wireless in terms of going from the meat to outside of the grill.Somebody needs to figure out how to make this tool without the probe wire. That said, before it becomes useless, it works really well. Maybe the idea is to buy these by the case?!

Keep Your Receipt
I've had 4 or 5 of these thermometers over the years and when they work they are great. But inevitably the probes fail. You will think its your fault and probably buy a new one. But the reviews show that the probes are not up to the temperature extremes they will be subjected to in a grill or an oven.

Good, but not hot enough
I really like the design of this mug, and it does not leak.However, I've been using it for about 8 months now and I'm starting to notice that it does not keep my coffee hot enough.At least it doesn't live up to the 3 hours that it promises -- my coffee was room temperature after only 2.

Nice variety of sizes, but dent easily
These whisks are great in that there are so many sizes, you can always find the right one.And my three-year-old loves using the tiny one to help cook.

These are very nice whisks, all things considered, and the other reviews for the most part tell you why.I thought I was getting a set to cover most of my needs; however, I found all of them about an inch or two too small.The largest isn't really balloon-y enough to do an efficient job at a big batch of egg whites, for example, tiring your arm out faster than a larger one would.The middle size is pretty good for omelets and bechamels, but the small one is a lilliputian thing, only fit for a pygmy.Its handle is really too short to be useful even for vinaigrettes.If they had only inflated their sizes a bit, this set would have been fit for every need, and near perfect.

since the company was founded in HongKong in 1978 and then moved to the mainland 18 years later.Having put the ethinicity thing to rest, I will say that both these and the measuring spoons are heavy-weight and of excellent quality.I also like the larger than average variety (7 vs the typical 5-cup set).I would still give AllClad (which is French but made in the USA)the edge, but you will pay a hefty premium for AllClad.

Keeps Baked Boneless Chicken Breasts Moist
I live in the Midwest and boneless skinless chicken breasts prices have plummetted as compared to what they were a few years ago, but inexperienced cooks have made their preparation sometimes an exercise in patience with dry, chewy, stringy or sometimes rubbery meat.If it isn't overdone it is underdone.My mother usually pounded them flat to tenderize and make it easier to cook with consistent results.When I saw this product, boneless chicken came instantly to mind... either grilling or baking.It being winter, I decided to make a simple meal of Shake-n-Bake chicken breasts for my parents without telling them that I used the meat tenderizer.They came out so juicy and tender raved my mother as my father used a butter knife to cut them, they were perfectly and evenly cooked and to my surprise were as plump as they came out of the package.Just 3 or 4 times per breast and they were done.I am now dreaming of summer steaks, or even a chuck roast in the crockpot later this week.I am very pleased with the Jaccard Meat Tenderizer as it didn't change the texture of the meat as other had reported, and mine has two flat-head screw holes on one side and the blades can be replaced.I paid nearly $40 for mine at a local restaurant supply store and I think it will more than pay for itself by having GREAT meals at home instead of eating out.You can buy far better meat in the store than they have in most restaurants anyway. ... Lots of uses

Great for Mixing up fly spray for horses!
i use empty spray bottles from a retail store and mix up my own fly spray. I bought this just for that. It works great though a little top heavy on an empty bottle, but that is to be expected.Strainer tends to keep most dirt out that would plug up the sprayer. Nice item.

Great for the price
This is a great timer for the price, a little bulky though. It's nice to be able to set the timer for seconds, minutes or hours and also be able to count down or upwards. I'll use it as a reminder for appointments while I'm working in the office at home as well as in the kitchen. This will also be handy for soccer practice.

I got this timer at different store and I think it is just great!I like that I can time in minutes for shorter things (like cookies) or in hours for a ham like I did at Easter.I have not seen a timer that switches like that.I read the notes about the clip, but frankly, I just attach it to my refrig and leave it there.The buzzer is loud enough to hear too.

Average, but inexpensive
I purchased this timer because I wanted an inexpensive timer for my basement. I groom my cats there and need to time some of the grooming products I use on the cats. This timer arrived with the clip broken on the back. It is the part that attaches to you belt or can make the timer stand upright.Amazon let me print out a return label so that I didn't have to pay for return shipping charges and they sent me out a replacement immediately. Dry food storage
Love this system, especially the mason jar feature.I can utilize my mason jars for all kinds of dry goods and get fresher results than just screwing on the lid.Great if you harvest your own herbs and such!

I like MOST of this Set....the canisters crack!!
We bought one for Christmas and love the food sealer.We also bought this kit.We loved everything EXCEPT the canisters. All the canisters have cracked.So far, still holding the seal, but they are getting progressively worse, so it's just a matter of time.These aren't exactly cheap, so I think it's safe to say that we should expect bettter.If you read the review for the 3-piece canister set, you will see extensive complaints about the cannisters.
