5-0 out of 5 stars All around excellent oven
I purchased this oven to replace my toaster and to use in place of my large convection oven for daily cooking. So far I have made lamb, steak, and BBQ chicken. All of the meats came out beautifully cooked and moist and tender on the inside. I broil the meats following the cooking times in the Betty Crocker's New Cookbook. Additionally, I made a bagel, which I put sliced side up, increased the darkness by two levels, and used the bagel feature. It came out perfectly and evenly golden brown, better than my previous Russell Hobbs toaster. I do agree with other reviewers that it would be nice to have the option to have it turn off when the timer runs out.Overall, highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOL at the bad toaster comments
Doesn't anybody remember the good ole days of using a toaster oven? They're not SUPPOSED to toast on both sides! I'm sorry, but I'm laughing out loud at the folks who've posted comments about this toaster oven not being good because it doesn't toast on both sides. This is a "toaster oven", not a "toaster". Hello!? If you want your toast toasted on both sides, then buy a toaster. lol. What a toaster oven does, is toast the top of things, and it warms things like frozen pizzas, pot pies, casseroles, etc. I've never actually baked anything in one, so can't comment on its baking ability. But this is a good toaster oven...if you use it for its intended purpose. :)

5-0 out of 5 stars I absolutely LOVE this
I'm single and live in a small apartment. I don't like to crank up the oven because preheating takes a good 10-15 minutes, and cooldown just as long. And then there's the fact that it heats up the entire place. Not fun in summer in the South!

4-0 out of 5 stars Very pleased
I am very pleased with this Convection Oven.It cooks fast and thorough and I enjoy the warmer feature.Toasting also works very well. The only negative comment I have is the cleaning of the warmer part is a bit challenging, but this is a minimal inconvenience.Overall, I would definitley recommend this to anyone looking for a qualtiy Toaster Oven.

5-0 out of 5 stars 1/2 Toaster, 1/2 Oven
Very good buy for $85 +free ship. Bought this one to replace a smaller Black & Decker toaster oven that served us very well over 5-6 years until controls gave out (the B&D still works, just have to keep the button pressed in).
2-0 out of 5 stars Good oven, but controls gave out
We like the features and performance of this oven quite a bit.We bought it to replace a regular old toaster oven. The T-Fal toasts very evenly and I can fit a whole frozen pizza in it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Does what it's supposed to do and looks good doing it.
I bought this oven primarily for toast and light baking (potatos, frozen entres, etc.) but it has been deceptively versatile once you catch on to it's capabilities.Just about anything that can be baked or gratineed in a full size oven can be handled in smaller serving sizes in the Sanyo Convection Oven.
4-0 out of 5 stars Sleek little oven
I bought this as a replacement for my old DeLonghi convection which my daughter was taking off to college. It toasts fine, and I would have given it 5 stars xcept that Sanyo decided to call it digital. Yes, it has a touchpad for 1, 2, or more slices of toast, but what's that about???? This is not a microwave, so the toasting should not be quantity-dependent; why not just have us toast longer? There is also a touchpad for temperature which is calibrated not in 50 degree increments as are our reg ovens, etc, but instead at such odd temps as 180-250-320-400-470; maybe the boxes of frozen food say different things in Japan? That said, I think I will adapt and be able to use this oven just fine.It is exactly the right size for my counter, prettier than my other one, and the shelf is conveniently attached to the door so the food slides out toward you when you open the door, without burning yourself on the hot shelf!

5-0 out of 5 stars unbelievable
Replaces my oven, toaster oven, microwave, toaster, and sometimes even my stove top.And best of all,I can cook from frozen to perfection in a very short time......also leftovers don't taste leftover any more....clean up is also very easy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Flavorwave oven really works
I bought my Flavorwave oven about 4 years ago and I would never want to be without it.In fact I purchased another one as a back up.It cooks quickly and the chicken and meat come out tender and juicy. The proof is in the taste.Better than larger grills that you have to use outside in the hot weather, and it fits into the dishwasher.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better Than a Backyard Grill
We use the Flavorwave often to grill steaks and chicken, rather than our outdoor propane grill. The Flavorwave cooks meat from frozen.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for Summer Baking
Living in a climate that has temps over 100 for most of the summer, I usually go through "baking withdrawal".This oven has a compact footprint for the spacious interior, so it fits nicely on a countertop. It heats quickly, yet doesn't heat the rest of the kitchen. The only drawback would be the baking pan included. It has a non-stick surface that scratches very easily; however, there are many other products out there that will fit this spacious oven. ... Read more

With "double" grills that emit heat over and under food, this 900-watt convection microwave provides both browning and crisping capabilities. Eleven power levels offer added control, with temperature settings that include 100, 150, and 275 to 450 degrees F in 25-degree increments. The oven's two-line, 12-digit interactive display provides easy programming steps, cooking hints, and special options. With auto-touch convenience, there are 35 automatic settings to choose from, such as CompuPizza, CompuBake, CompuRoast, and CompuGrill, as well as CompuCook, which allows for preset times and power levels, and CompuDefrost for automatically defrosting frozen foods quickly and evenly. Custom Help provides programming features such as language/weight, child lock, and auto start. There's also the option to build the unit into a wall or cabinet with a trim kit (purchased separately), which provides the required ventilation and delivers a clean look. The oven's stainless-steel, 0.9-cubic-foot interior is easy to clean and includes a light and a 12-3/4-inch in diameter carousel turntable system for even heating. The unit measures 20-1/2 by 12-1/8 by 19-3/4 inches. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Just LOVE it!
I bought this little gem over a year ago. I live near the beach in a non-air-conditioned apartment, and this wonderful device allows me to bake and roast to my heart's content all summer without heating up the whole apartment (like the clunky old oven in this place does).
1-0 out of 5 stars This microwave oven is UGLY !!!
DON'T GET THIS OVEN UNLESS YOU LIKE A $200 UGLY MICROWAVE.What were the folks at Sharp thinking of when they designed the back of the oven!!!I felt mislead by Amazon's picture ... this is the ugliest oven I have ever seen.It is a black microwave with a 6 inch deep grayish metal box screwed to the back ... the box is pretty much the same length and width of the oven so there is no way to hide the backside unless it is put into a cabinet. If I had known about the back part of the microwave, I would not have purchased this oven.DON'T GET THIS OVEN UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND PAYING $200 FOR AN UGLY LOOKING MICROWAVE.

2-0 out of 5 stars Short lived
This was a fantastic albiet bulky unit while it worked. It had tons of functions and worked great, however, it shorted out, began smoking, and tripped my GFCI outlet only 19 months after I bought it. It's a shame really as I liked the unit, but for $200 I expected it to last a bit longer. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Useful Addition for Small Households
The EO1251 is particularly useful for 1-2 person households, as it is a terrific little oven and an adequate toaster.I can't give it 5 stars until the designers improve the setting knobs, which are stiff and provide too small a finger grip for turning, and add a second rack to provide more placement options. To get the most reliable toast results, one needs first to warmed up the toaster settings. While the Cuisinart convection oven gets the higher ratings, some users I know have complained of the need to vet the equipment thoroughly, as it gives off an unpleasant chemical smell on initial usages.Fortunately, the DeLonghi has no such drawback.I also appreciate the simplicity of its settings; it's easier just to turn a knob in the morning than have to face the Cuisinart's digital pad.

4-0 out of 5 stars Pricey yet a great performer
First, let's get the bad out of the way. This is a bit pricey for a countertop toaster/convection oven. Second is that the interior dimensions listed previously were wrong! The maximum width is 12 inches. Thus a standard muffin pan or 13x9" pan WILL NOT FIT!
5-0 out of 5 stars Better than advertised
Before I list the things I adore about this little oven, I want to clarify what "40% faster" means. A previous reviewer stated that the convection oven does not cook in 40% less *time*, but the product description never made that claim. It said that the oven cooks 40% *faster*. "Faster" refers to speed (like MPH); that's different from time.

Editorial Review

Putting in double ovens is the latest trend in kitchen remodeling. For kitchens that are too small to host a second oven, this freestanding appliance is a mighty fine substitute. The brushed stainless-steel exterior with chrome accents looks hip in any designer kitchen, and the roominess and versatility of this oven is a surprising bonus. The interior cavity measures .5 cubic feet, which is spacious enough to cook an entire 12-inch pizza, bake a tray of empanadas, or even roast a small chicken. Two tiered racks provide room for baking a double batch of brownies or for simultaneous preparation of an entrée and side dish and food cooks evenly no matter where it is positioned in the oven. The convection capabilities of this oven hasten cooking time of all foods up to 40 percent faster than regular ovens, and the even air circulation ensures consistent cooking results. Three easy-to-use control knobs set the appropriate cooking preference and temperature for the food being cooked. The lowest knob offers bake, bake with convection (which is excellent for cakes, cookies, and meats), slow bake, broil, and toast options along with a defrost setting for frozen foods and a keep warm setting for warming without cooking. The top knob sets the temperature anywhere from 250 degrees Fahrenheit to broiling. The middle knob is for toasting only and controls the color, from light to dark, of up to six pieces of bread. The toast color selector knob ticks as it counts down the toasting time, which is mildly annoying for those who prefer no background noise; however, when the time is up, it does an accurate toasting job.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars GOOD LUCK AT CLOSING THE DOOR!
I have owned several Delonghi toaster ovens. THe convection feature is great, it is quick to cook and cooks evenly. However, the number one capability of any toaster oven should be the ability to open and close the door securely. After just several months of use, not to mention several hundred dollars spent, the doors of these ovens will not close all the way...this resulted in inconsistent cooking temperatures in the interior of the oven. In short, we could not trust the oven to cook something properly. For the money, Delonghi should be able to install a decent door latch...that is not asking for too much I don't think. Even a 19.00 Proctor Silex from Walmart has achieved this engineering feat.
1-0 out of 5 stars My DeLonghi was twice NoLonghi working
I received this as a gift, ordered from Amazon, for X-mas 2005. I had previously had good experience with a 10 year-old DeLonghi Convection Toaster Oven Broiler that had recently developed a sticky timer-knob (but otherwise worked perfectly), so I put this on my X-mas wish-list since I felt it was time for a "refresh".
1-0 out of 5 stars Stopped working after 5 months
I had a DeLonghi toaster oven that worked like a charm for 12 years. With no hesitation, I purchased this one. Like the other posters, our toaster oven just stopped working for no apparent reason. What a hassle! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great microwave-toaster-griller-small oven!
After reading extensive reviews here and elsewhere, I bit the bullet and ponied up for the expensive little thing, and must agree with the reviewer who said Sharp clearly doesn't know what a great thing they have here, or else they have the worst marketing plan in history. This is a TERRIFIC appliance! It has replaced my old toaster oven and microwave. How much room would that save in YOUR kitchen?

I'm sure it was a freak accident, but my Sharp R-930AW stopped working one month before the warranty ran out! They must have substituted cheap import components that were missing the "warranty plus one day burn out" feature. If you like the smell of burning electronic components, this microwave is the one for you!

I owned this microwave for about 5 years. My Son slammed the door a little too hard and broke the door hinges.I loved the convection so much on this microwave that I knew I wanted the very same model. So of course I searched on the internet to locate one.It is easy to use, but I love having the convection it gives me an additional oven for those special occasions.

I owned a Sharp convection microwave for over 18 years. I was so pleased with it that I wanted another one. I couldn't find one in a store anywhere, so I took a chance and bought this one online. I was a little nervous, since I saw mixed reviews. Some have had a positive experience, while one person said the appliance died a month after purchase. I've only had it a little over a month and I love it. I have only used the convection once to make muffins, and it performed well. I use the microwave on a daily basis and like it very much. It is an upgraded model from my previous one. My husband and kids love the popcorn button! My old microwave didn't do popcorn well. Great purchase! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great convection oven, but huge
I love this "convection" oven.I ordered it thinking it would be slightly larger than my Delonghi toaster oven, which I was replacing.I was wrong. It is at least three to four times bigger than the size of an ordinary toaster oven.Other than that, I love EVERYthing about this oven.It is easy to use, gorgeous with its stainless steel finish, has the capacity to cook a turkey! if you wanted to, and has such a classic, streamlined look to it.I have gotten numerous compliments on it from everyone. It is of the best quality in the kitchen appliances, and I only buy the top of the line things. This is a lot better than what you'd get from Crate & Barrel or Williams & Sonoma. The food turns out very evenly heated. You don't get burnt spots or the middle that's still cold like you would with a cheap oven.Easy to clean (my last oven was a pain to clean), and performs better than I ever imagined. If you can afford the cost and the counter space, I would definitely recommend that you get it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Performs very well, very quiet
I eagerly awaited the arrival of this oven.I have been kicking myself for quite some time since remodeling my kitchen and not including double wall ovens. This little gem is the answer to that problem. With two dials it couldn't be any easier to use.The convection feature does a very nice job of evenly circulating the air around the food.I baked a batch of cookies in this BroilKing POV 25 and my Jenn Air Convection oven.Cooking times and results were identical for a delicate recipe.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST PURCHSE I'VE MADE
My built-in oven has to be replaced, requiring cabinet work as well, and my old microwave burned out. From the day I brought home this microwave combination I have been very impressed.I use it for baking, warming, grilling, etc. With it being the only oven in the house, I even use it for baking cakes, even though I have to bake each layer separately.
5-0 out of 5 stars sharp convection microwave
This unit is not only attractive it bakes and microwaves just as it is supposed too.We liked it very much.

1-0 out of 5 stars not good for the money
Haier RTC1700 Extra Large Capacity Convection Oven would be great if the company did a better job puting it together. The first one worked for 1.5 weeks then the power went out on it. Sent for a new one and it came with the door not put together right. Part of the hinge was missing. Not happy with this at all. Will not deal with this company again. I bought this as a gift for my mother and she is the one who has had to deal with this mess. Elizbeth, NV.
2-0 out of 5 stars Good while they last but it has a short life span
We purchased our first Haier 1700 at Brandsmart for $137.00 three years ago along with an extended warranty. After one year we turned it in for a replacement because the temp. was unstable. The second one lasted two years before the door broke, and the convection fan stopped. I love the price and the size. It accomodates a 1/2 size baking pan. It's great for about a year or two at most.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cooks beautifully. I love this oven!
I got this unit a few weeks ago and I've been quite impressed with it, especially in light of its very reasonable price. I've used it for baking and I've used the rotisserie as well. It browns very evenly and I'm very pleased with this oven thus far.

4-0 out of 5 stars I Like It!
I really like this little oven. The food I've made is good and tasty. The meat is very juicy when using the convection feature. I also use it to make yummy caramel rolls. They are high and fluffy. The convection feature is also quiet. I was a little surprised at that. The rotisserie works. I used it today to make a 4 lb. chicken. Tasty and juicy! What I don't like is the squareness of the inside. Only square or round pans go inside, no 9 X 13 cake pans. Also the instruction manual can be a little vague. More recipes would have been nice. Clean up is easy. All in all, I am satisfied.

1-0 out of 5 stars Expensive!
You can buy this at Walmart for $78.00. The seller here is charging $89.00 plus $26.00 shipping. You can buy here for 115.00 or go to Walmart and get it for 78.00.
3-0 out of 5 stars loved it at first...
Yes I loved my oven at first and bragged about it all the time.It bakes bread, roasts chickens, cooks frozen fries nice and crisp, but the convection feature was what I loved... it gave the chicken a nice crisp skin, made the pizza taste like you'd get at a pizzaria... but it quit after 3 months or so.So now it just bakes and broils. It does that well, so it's still a nice oven, but disappointing to have a non-convection oven again. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Timed parts
One week before our warranty expired, the microwave stopped working. The turn table stopped moving and it ceased to heat. Sharp gave us the address of a repair shop, an hour drive away, to take it to.
5-0 out of 5 stars The only one for me
This is the second one of this model I have purchased and it is only because we moved house that I had to buy this one. This is the best combination oven that I could find and the only one that I could find that one can "build in".It is easy to operate and performs great.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disposable microwave -doesn't last.
Great microwave, but what good is something the doesn't work? After 3 years of use it blew up, and after screaming and yelling we got Sharp to fix it.Then one week after the five year magnatron warranty ended, it blew up again. What ever happened to having a microwave for 20 years? I paid $529 for this microwave and spent a fortune building it into my cabinet. I should have bought the cheapo $150 Panasonic. ... Read more
