Problems with theses bowls
They develop a white crust inside that cannot be removed.

Okay..I am one of those people who dismissed Tupperware as an overpriced alternative to plastic dishware that can be purchased in discount stores..well..no more.Tupperware is much better made than "that other brand", and you get what you pay for...quality that lasts a lifetime.Every single piece of "microwave" Tupperware I have ever bought is WONDERFUL...including these mugs.No more splatters!!These mugs are very durable and the vented seal prevents splattering in the microwave..great for warming soup, mac and cheese and pasta products (ie spaghetti-o's).I have even made mini cakes and oversized muffins in these in no time flat. They clean up great in the dishwasher, and are the perfect size (16 oz).I use this item AT LEAST 4x a week, so it is not some novelty item collecting dust in my cabinets.I also recommend Tupperware's microwave steamer (another item I use several times a week). ... Bottom Leaks
I got this mug because it was voted, "Best Mug".It does keep the coffee warm, and is leak proof.The bottom gets water under the little rubber thing and you can't get it out.It retains just enough water under the little rubber thing that makes it very annoying due to the slow leakage.

In the world of coffee mugs....
In this "perfect" world, I was chasing after the "perfect" travel coffee mug. Did I find it ? almost, but not really as accepted the idea a long time ago that "perfection" is very subjective anyways. The construction is robust. Nice design and holds coffee warm for some time. The main flaw I found was this difficult cover to put on/remove. It is definitely spill proof if properly closed but there are no real "mechanism" to ensure that it is properly closed... spilled coffee a couple of times for not checking that the lid was properly screwed on. So : 1) does what it is intended for but 2) be attentive/ not in a rush before tossing it around in your car... ... Read more

The handle on this desktop mug is so comfy you won’t want to put it down, not a bad thing if you like to sip your coffee all morning long. Made of stainless steel inside and out, the 12-ounce insulated Trek keeps drinks hot or cold much longer than a regular mug. The press-in lid features a one-inch sip slot, an air flow hole, and a tab for pulling off the lid. There’s no plastic buffer between the hot metal side of the mug and the lid, so you’ll need to watch where you put your lips. I bought one for keeping tea warm, and it does the job admirably; keeps tea hot even after a couple of hours (which is long enough considering it only holds 12oz, I usually finish the content before it gets below enjoyable temperature).Read more
