Great tea kettle with silicone handle - brushed steel version.
I got my brushed steel Tea Kettle as a housewarming present, and I have not had any problems with it. It works great on both electric and gas stoves. The handle does get a little warm due to some heat transferance between the metal of the pot and the silicone, but I've never had to use any pot holders with it as it's never been uncomfortable. It pours smooth, is easy to use, and I like the fact that it has both a whistle that can be lifted up to pour and a removable lid so I can put tea bags directly inside the pot when it's finished boiling so I have a pot-o-tea. Copper Colander
I love my new copper colander.I am mainly using it for a showpiece on my new lighted pot rack, but will use it as I need it.It was a great value and looks just as good as some of those more expensive ones.

Old dutch pedestal copper colander
The recommended lacquer remover for this item was not available in our area. We tried to order it from several places and finally used another product. The lacquer was difficult to remove.The colander arrived slightly dented and holds a little water but we decided not to try to return it. Some of the interior finish lifted off the first time I drained pasta in it and has continued to erode with use.I use it because I gave away my stainless steel one when I got this one, but I'm not happy with it. I suppose it would be a nice decorative piece if you left the lacquer on it, but I really cook and use my kitchen ware every day and I am disappointed with this item. I don't even care that it may not be shiney, I just wonder why the nickel lining came off so quickly.

Beautiful and Practical
I didn't experience any of the strange problems mentioned above, nor have I had any problems with any of my copper pots. Did they remember to de-laquer the colander? Are they using copper paste to clean it or dish soap? Did they soak it in lemon juice? I'm sorry they had such an horrible experience, but copper hasn't been used for cooking utensils since time immemoriam because it doesn't perform as good as it looks. I wasn't sure which one of the 3 colanders pictured I was going to get, but since the title said LEAF I was hoping for the big one (the one with the leafs on the desing). I wish somebody would have wrotten a review before my purchase and save me the anxious wait for the Amazon package: Will I get a small unuseful (strawberry) one, a medium (grapes) not so nice, or what I has hopping for? And YES!!. It was the big one, I belive 5 quarts (hard to mesure how much water a colander holds, it keep draining out!), very nice desing, and excelent price. Love it. ... Read more
