5-0 out of 5 stars Great press
The more I use it, the more I like it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great gift for the coffee/loose tea lover on your list!
I've purchased a total of 5 of these mugs now (different colors). They're well-constructed and attractive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I've put 3 aside for Christmas gift giving. I think they're uniquely perfect for that person who seems to have everything, without spending a fortune to achieve that "Wow!" factor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for real Tea lovers !
Great invention! I drink mostly loose teas, gave up coffee some time ago. Because of work and being "Mom", I spend a lot of time in my car.I have tried several travel presses and most of them don't trap all of the leaves under the press, especially leaves that unroll as they steep. This is the most practical travel mug that I've ever seen and the storage compartment is absolutely great for carrying extra loose tea for those all day meetings.I ordered one for my desk and one for those long car trips. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Very pleased
We purchased this machine a couple months ago after our previous one, a Krupps, gave out suddenly (and explosively). The Capresso is a little more compact than the Krupps, but still makes a great cup of espresso. We aren't 'purists', so issues like the lack of crema that some here are complaining about do not concern us. We just like a hot fresh cup of espresso with some cream and milk.
2-0 out of 5 stars Average results - burned flavor
I am a big fan of espresso and espresso drinks but needed to save money so I bought this to make it at home. Making espresso is easy enough if you follow the instructions (I didn't watch the video). The frother even works well. The problem I had was with the flavor. The manual suggests making two or four shots of espresso at a time, but when making four shots the espresso was badly burned by the time it was finished brewing. I had best results making just over one shot at a time, but the flavor was still burned and flat. In the end, I used the machine for a couple months but eventually put it away and went back to my regular drip coffee maker.

4-0 out of 5 stars Money Saver!
This is a great little machine & has served its purpose very well.It has saved me much more than I paid for it! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT. Works great. Highly recommend.
We have had this about six months. Already own a burr grinder..but heck waking up to a fresh pot, not having to measure bean (just fill and it grinds what it wants. What is not to like?
5-0 out of 5 stars Luv this coffeemaker~!!
This coffeemaker is so well worth the price~!!It makes great coffee and I like that you don't have to add beans every day~!!Too bad it doesn't come in different colors.Highly recommended~!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Poor. I mean pour.
I've had this model coffemaker at work for a couple of years, and so I placed it on my registry and got it as a wedding gift. As far as grind and brew goes, this one is mostly good, but falls short in a few respects.

3-0 out of 5 stars Beware
I purchased this as replacement and although it is a nice sturdy carafe, it will not work with model #134 as specified, unless you held on to your original lid. However, when I opened the box there was a note to call Krups if you need to use this carafe with models 134 & 135. Krups was very helpful in getting a cover sent to me at no extra charge, that would work with my model.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the expense or the hype
I bought the first model of this grinder in 2003.And then KitchenAid sent me the revised version under warranty. But it still has an inherent design flaw that does not allow beans (especially dark roasted/oily beans) to feed from the upper hopper into the grinder. So if you want any coffee you have to stand there and poke at the beans with a chopstick. This grinder is definitely heavy. It is cast in beautiful powder coated steel. The upper hopper is made of thick, solid glass.Static control on the lower glass grounds jar is good. The grinder settings are not fine enough.Even when you clean this model properly (which is tricky and messy) you still do not get consistent grind sizes.I have found it diffcult to get a decent espresso grind out of it.When you do it is not consistent. In the end I gave this KitchenAid the old college try but I'm not happy with it and will be seeking an alternative.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well-Designed and Quiet
This grinder has the typical KitchenAid Pro-line "made like a battleship" heft.Unfortunately, some of the other Pro-Line products have serious design flaws that annoy well after the thrill of the initial "this thing is so heavy, it will last forever" impulse.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best coffee grinder
This grinder is proving to be the quietest and toughest yet. Ask me again in two months, though; that seems to be when mine usually die. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars keeps coffee fresh in the tropics!
We have a place at the beach in Florida, and also spend a lot of time on the Mexican Riviera, and this item was just what we were looking for!It keeps the beans super-fresh, and the attraction for me is that you CAN use batteries only.We use good batteries, like Energizers, and have been pleased with the results. Keeps our coffee super fresh without worrying about wasting precious "fridge" space. And it can go anywhere.Would also appeal to campers, I would think.

2-0 out of 5 stars Seals OK, but cannot hold a vacuum, runs down batteries
The instructions say the unit seals in 1-2 minutes, and mine does. It is very loud, but it does seal. But about every 3 hours or so, it apparently has lost enough vacuum that I hear it re-sealing for at least a full minute. Yes, it is supposed to reseal automatically. But every 3 hours? That is going to eat batteries like crazy.
5-0 out of 5 stars Makes My Morning!!
I saw this thing in Time magazine so I went and got one at Sur La Table.I absolutely LOVE the "swoosh" sound as air rushes into my Bean Vac when I open it every morning.I spend so much money on these beans and I hate them going bad on me.I like the fact that it turns on if any air does get in.It's one less thing I have to worry about! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars fast cup of joe, but 1/2 of it ends up spilling on counter
this coffee maker is acceptable in terms of size, quickness of brew, temperature, and appearance.however, 75% of the time, regardless of angle of pour, speed of pour, or alignment of the planets, this sucker is impossible to pour without dribbling.

3-0 out of 5 stars I hate loving this one.
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. My two year old Mr. Coffee had blown some gaskets and was leaking everywhere. I had a coupon and bought this at a fair price in Dec 2004. I love the job it does brewing but hated the carafe immediately. Guess what? The Mr. Coffee carafe fits just fine. There do seem to be some circuit problems over time. After eighteen months, I had mine apart to look. It needs a relay but I kick it and it chatters back and yields another pot. Aside from the carafe issues, I liked this one a lot but it is time to move on once again. I'm sorely tempted to buy another. I guess I'll look for warranty and sales slip paperwork but for a dollar a month, it was a trooper that did its duty. The carafe from four cup Mr. Coffee fits, so if you are having issues, the replacement MC carafes are pretty cheap.I may have cooked the relay by cycling the hot plate back on too often. It rides on a cute little circuit board inside that could be replaced in ten minutes. I may just bypass all that and make it soldier on by making it plug and play.

3-0 out of 5 stars Take it or leave it
I selected this item because the black base and stainless steel carafe matched nicely with my other kitchen appliances. I also figured the stainless steel carafe would be more durable than a glass one. Now that I've got it though, its a bit bothersome not to be able to see the amount of coffee in the carafe without removing the lid. Although its less likely to dribble when pouring than my previous coffee maker, you can't pour out the last spoonful or so of coffee without holding it upside down and shaking it. Its also more awkward to fill the reservoir and to see how full it is than with my previous maker. Its too bad they don't make that model anymore. I've been using it for about a month now and other than the nuisances I've already described, its worked fine and appears to be solidly built. Still, I can take it or leave it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Works very well, losing vacuum seal easily fixed
I have been using the cannister for 2 years with excellent results.I use it to store a small supply of ground coffee, and am ordering a second cannister to store whole beans after I've opened the bag.
4-0 out of 5 stars almost perfect
This works better with beans than ground coffee, and I think the coffee stays fresher, but it's hard to tell after a week or two in any container. Ground coffee tends to break the seal and defeats the purpose of the vacuum. Washing the container out or using water to help keep the seal is a pain.
1-0 out of 5 stars Lousy, threw mine out
I love their wine saver product, and use that all the time; what a great gadget! And I drink a lot more coffee than wine, and am at least as sensitive to the quality, so this sounded pretty promising.Unfortunately, I found it didn't work worth a darn. I was never able to get it to hold a seal satisfactorily, and so the whole effort of using this became a waste. Almost any container (ziploc, tupperware, mason jar, etc.) would be better.Sorry to say that, because the idea has promise and I like their other product quite a bit. I would recommend not getting this, based on my experience. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars VERY Disappointed!!!
I have been grinding my own coffee beans every morning for many years and have gone through quite a few different grinders.I have always lovedCuisinart products and was very excited to purchase this one, what a mistake! The grinder itself is really noisy and heavy for it's size. The coffee grinds are never fine enough for my liking and they get stuck up inside the plastic top, making a huge mess and wasting a lot of coffee.
1-0 out of 5 stars Love Cuisinart, but stay away from this one
I have Cuisinart all over my kitchen--love the design and quality.
2-0 out of 5 stars Grounds for Disappointment
I was excited to upgrade to this coffee grinder after years of using a cheap Krups model, and I have to say that I am very disappointed with the way this machine grinds coffee. It takes way too long to grind, whether pulsing or grinding continuously. And then the grounds are very uneven. Although the manufacturer says it is grinding slowly to keep the flavor in, every coffee expert I've consulted with says the longer coffee grinds, the more it heats up and the more flavor is lost. Even after long grinding, there are large pieces of bean still visible. I was also excited about the machine's detachable bowl, which does make for easy cleaning. But only of the bowl. The rest of the machine is a pain to clean and no matter how carefully you remove the top, your counter is covered in grounds. I bought a second bowl so that I could grind spices in the same machine, and I think the coffee grinder works better on spices and seeds (such as flax) than it does on coffee. But you still have to clean the entire thing before reusing it, or your spices have a strong coffee flavor from the grounds that are stuck to the protective case. (That plastic case does make grinding quieter, however.) All in all I'm quite disappointed with this purchase. I should have gone farther upscale and gotten a more serious burn grinder, or stuck with my cheap Krups with the slanted bowl base which made even grounds quickly. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good espresso machine for the price.
Do you love Starbucks espresso drinks? Then this machine is not for you. You will be perfectly happy with a little Krups that will only set you back $40. Don't get me wrong. They are decent machines. My last machine was a little steam-powered Krups. It lasted well over 10 years. But it makes espresso that tastes like Starbucks espresso, slightly bitter and burnt. This machine is well worth the money to upgrade your espresso experience. It's like switching to your local independent coffee shop! (Here's a little plug for my favorites: Do you live in LA? You have to experience The Bishop, on Grand, between 8th and 9th. Best coffee I've had since I left the Napa Valley. If you are ever in Napa or St. Helena, you must visit the Napa Valley Roasting Company. Heck, if you are in San Francisco, it's still worth the trip. Compare these places to Starbucks, and you'll see what espresso is really supposed to taste like!)
5-0 out of 5 stars Best machine for the price!
The title says it all. You can not beat this machine for the price its at. I've had other machines in the < $200 price range, and they don't compare. Its easy to use, its got a sexy design that compliments a contemporary kitchen, but most off all, it makes a great espresso. Each cup has a thick amount of crema that remains after you stir the espresso. The two boilers are great; the espresso never comes out burnt. Its easy to clean, as all the parts rinse clean, or can be taken apart fast and easy for a heavy duty clean.
5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Choice!Love it!
I shopped around a long time for machines in this price range.I wanted something small and stylish - but most importantly had to work well. The EC460 is a little larger than some other machines, but it is solid and makes a great espresso. The 1 ltr container can be refilled on the fly.Froth is plentiful, though wand only moves side to side (a problem of most espresso machines). In shot, you can't go wrong with this one.Solid, fast, reliable, stylish, and oh yeah...makes a great cuppa. ... This polished aluminum coffeemaker brews coffee and then lets brunch guests or executives at a breakfast meeting serve themselves. The coffeemaker brews up to 30 cups of coffee and averages about one cup per minute in brewing time. For accurate filling, the urn has water level markings on its interior. The coffeemaker has a red serving light that illuminates when brewing is complete and the coffee is ready to pour. The two-way faucet pours easily and is dripless. An automatic temperature control keeps coffee warm as long as it is plugged into an outlet. For safety from burns, the filter basket has a cool tip and the handles, base, and lid are all heat-resistant. Additionally, the coffeemaker’s cover twists to lock, ensuring that accidental spilling will not occur. The coffeemaker comes with a detachable cord for easy storage. 1-0 out of 5 stars Maybe I did something wrong, but...
Everyone else seems happy with this thing, but I have been very dissappointed. No matter how I scour and wash the inside of this urn, I am always left with a gritty, oily deposit on the bottom. When I refill the urn with water and heat it (I use it only for hot water, not coffee), I get an oily film on the water. It is unuseable and I will have to replace it.For what it's worth, I do not get these deposits or oily surface on the same tap water when boiled in a regular kettle.Avoid this product!

Editorial Review

Well-respected Zojirushi brand makes durable, reliable products. This thermal carafe is no exception, with a classic, simple design that keeps coffee and other hot beverages hot for hours. A button you press with your thumb while gripping the handle opens the carafe for serving, doing away with the need to partly unscrew the lid for pouring. An indicator on the lid tells you if the carafe is open and ready to serve, or closed. When open, the outer rim supports coffee filter holders for brewing coffee directly into the carafe. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Zojirushi Thermal Carafe
I just recently received this carafe and am VERY pleased with it.So far, it has kept our coffee piping hot for over 15 hours.I love the design and the swivel base.We have used the glass-lined plastic carafes in the past, and they just don't keep the coffee very hot.The Zojirushi Thermal Carafe is well worth the price.Excellent product!

I am very pleased with my thermal pot and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality pot. I especially like the built in lazy susan. When I ordered the pot, I was not aware of this. The swivel bottom is a plus.

Editorial Review

Made in Italy, this 1,250-watt machine eliminates the fuss of creating espresso and espresso drinks at home by automating the entire process. With the push of a button, the machine grinds coffee beans without burning them, tamps the ground coffee into the brew group, brews a cup of espresso, and then dumps the spent grounds into a container--all in about 30 seconds. For creating a cappuccino or latte, there's a hot water/steam wand with a milk-frothing attachment, and there's only a 10-second delay from brewing to steaming. A button selects one or two cups, a knob adjusts cup size up to 10 ounces. For safety, the machine shuts off if the grinder runs out of beans or the water tank is empty (control-panel lights indicate specific problems).Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Good coffee but bad workmanship
The machine is easy to use and makes great espresso ... when it's working!Mine broke down within the first year.I spent $80 dollars to fix it the first time, but it broke down again after another two months of use (water wouldn't heat up).It would cost me another $200 to fix it.I'm now looking for a more reliable machine.

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny paid!
Bottom line...worth the $500.Bought it here for $540 and got $25 off which covered the $30.00/3 year full replacement warranty from Amazon.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great value for your money
I bought this machine not from Amazon but from another place, but this machine paid for itself within months. No more frustrations at waiting in line at one of the over priced chain coffee shops and getting a bad drink at the end of the wait.
