3-0 out of 5 stars Krups Rplacement Espresso Carafe
Product was good. Shipping was safe and fast. I was glad to be able to find a replacement carafe for my particular model of espresso maker. The one problem I have is that the lid I had from the orginal espresso carafe is not a good fit with the replacement carafe. I have to remove the lid to poor the espresso out of the carafe. I would have ordered the lid also if I had known the original lid would not fit.

4-0 out of 5 stars Love My Krups!
We love the Krups machine becuase it makes both types of coffee. It's extremely easy to use, I've had no issues with it. Only real complaint is the cost to replace the espresso carafe. I also wish the coffee door where the coffee filter goes was removable for easy cleaning. Other than that we love ours! Buying one for my daughter.

3-0 out of 5 stars Replacement carafe
I purchased this carafe to replace one for the Krups 1500 coffee/espresso machine which I received for Christmas.I believe it will work, but the handle is attached with a screw which looks like it requires a star shaped screwdriver.I cannot find a screwdriver with a long enough shaft to fit in the handle and undo the band to replace it with the handle and lid which was on the original carafe. Will have to cut off the handle, I believe. ... 82. Hamilton Beach 47224 12-Cup BrewStation with Water Filter, Black

Editorial Review

Called the BrewStation because there is no "pot" involved, this 12-cup countertop unit from Hamilton Beach keeps coffee hot and fresh until you’re ready for a cup. The enclosed brewing system only dispenses coffee when you depress the trigger with your mug--otherwise, the coffee stays inside, where it's kept hot and flavorful. Mid-brew dispensing makes the appliance handy for anybody in a hurry, and a translucent indicator shows you the liquid level at a glance. An internal warming heater and double-wall thermal insulation maintain brew temperature and freshness, so there’s no hot plate to scorch coffee or make it bitter. Operation is similar to other electric makers, and the entire brew tank removes for easy cleaning. A clock and timer let you set the coffeemaker in advance, and an automatic safety mechanism cuts power after two hours. Other helpful details include a power indicator light, a drip tray, and a water filter. The station measures 10 by 10-1/2 and needs 14 inches of under-the-cupboard clearance. Read more

Features

  • Easy, one-hand dispensing with no need for a carafe
  • Gentle warming heater and enclosed brewing system maximizes flavor
  • Double-wall thermal insulation traps heat to keep coffee tasting fresh longer
  • Clock and brewing timer with 2-hour auto shutoff
  • Measures 10 by 10-1/2 by 14 inches

5-0 out of 5 stars I love, love , love it !
Ive had mine for about 3 yearsnow . I bought it when it first came out and its still in perfect working order. I just love it ! The coffee tastes great and the ease of use is incredible. I will never go back to a conventional coffee pot ....ever !

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Tasting, Great Looking, Great Price
This is definitely not your conventional coffee maker. It is pretty to the eyes, but most of all, it tastes absolutely wonderful! The coffee served from this maker could easily be passed as a Starbucks brew.I was convinced to buy this when I sawand tasted it at a neighbor's house. She then said it was reasonably priced as well. After checking online at all the sites available, Amazon's of course beat all other prices. This truly is a great buy.Besides the marvelous taste that all comment on, it is the perfect alternative for coffee drinkers who are not morning people.Because it can be programmed to start brewing, shuts off after two hours, and you can get your coffee while it is still brewing, we morning rushers can still have our favorite coffee that gives that needed kick. The only complaint is the lack of clarity in the cleaning directions that came with the coffee maker. This was not impossible though and overcoming the confusing and inadequate technical writing is well worth it.

3-0 out of 5 stars A matter of taste...
This is a nice idea and a nice looking unit, but the taste of the brew is noticeably different from what I get from my old unit with a glass carafe. I think the glass is the key. This unit brews into a plastic resevoir, and it seems that the plastic imparts some taste to the coffee.

Editorial Review

Most coffee roasters and tea buyers recommend using a coffee or tea press to enjoy the beverages at their best, but the devices have typically offered one major disadvantage--the brewed coffee or tea cooled quickly within the glass carafe. The Bodum Columbia thermal press overcomes this shortcoming with its double-walled stainless-steel construction, which insulates hot coffee or tea to keep it warm for up to two hours. The end result is a rich, flavorful beverage with perfectly extracted flavors and aromas.Read more

Features

  • Thermal coffee and tea press keeps beverages hot for up to 2 hours
  • Double-wall stainless-steel construction insulates contents
  • Safety lid keeps contents from spilling
  • Dishwasher-safe for quicker cleaning
  • Holds 48 ounces, enough for twelve 4-ounce cups of coffee

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Looking Insulated French Press with Lots of Capacity.
We used the Nissan Insulated French Press for years until we dropped and broke the press mechanism. The Nissan was a nice press, but we needed something with more capacity. The Nissan is 1 L & this Bodum is 1.5 L. Great! Also, the Bodum is visually a very elegant looking unit, whereas the Nissan is somewhat "industrial" looking i.e. "ugly"! The press mechanism on the Bodum is more refined, and there are much less coffee grinds and residue in the bottom of the coffee cup. So far we really like this press and it makes great coffee!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great press/carafe combo
No more having my brew cool before I am able to drink it. The seal is fairly tight, rarely to grounds get past it. If you've never had pressed coffee you're missing a real treat.
5-0 out of 5 stars We love it!
We've used French Press coffee pots for years - the glass ones with plastic lids.I kept breaking the glass beaker. And, I love my coffee extremely hot, which resulted in a lot of needlessly thrown away coffee that was lukewarm. And along came this new stainless steel themal 12-cup (well, it's more like 6 cups for us, as we use big mugs) coffee press . . .well, I am a picky person, when it comes to preparing and drinking coffee, and I absolutely adore this thing!I love the fact that it goes into the dishwasher with no worries about breakage.I love that it keeps your coffee warm for a pretty darn long time (even hot enough for me!).I love how it looks, how it cleans up, how the plunger goes down smoothly and rarely leaves coffee grains in your cup.If I've got to find something to complain about, I will mention two things - but they hardly count because once you're aware of them, it's not a big deal to avoid their effects:1.it's a good idea to make sure the arrow on the lid is pointing away from the pouring spout when the pot is sitting, as this keeps the heat in better; but do remember to turn the lid so the arrow is pointing at the pouring spout before trying to pour, or it will eventually backpour down the side of the pot.(but it's pretty easy to train yourself to do this)and 2. the lid gets pretty hot, so watch those tender fingers while turning the lid.I use the fingers with guitar calluses on them to do this, but you can always use a potholder or just do it real quick.I haven't found it to be so hot that it actually injures ya' anyway.OK, anyway.Love it; love it; love it.I do not regret spending the money. We've had this about a month now. ... Virtually unbreakable, this lightweight, vacuum-insulated thermos travels to work or your favorite recreation spot. On arrival, and for hours afterward, coffee, tea, or soup will still be hot. Or lemonade, pasta salad, or a sports drink will still be chilled. Compact (7 inches high) and shapely, this thermos has a "waist" for firm gripping indented in its satin-finish exterior and tough, nonslip, black plastic top and bottom. There's a choice of two twist tops, one for coffee and another, with a stainless steel strainer, for tea--each has a sip-hole, and a cap twists onto either to prevent spills. Fine threading ensures tops and cap seal tightly, while the smooth interior cleans with sponge or cloth. Preheating or prechilling with hot or cold water is recommended. Read more

It is a great mug, i just wish they made them in a 20 ounce size too.

3-0 out of 5 stars Works well, but not totally leakproof...
I wrote this review initially praising the quality of this item and waxing poetic about how well this keeps stuff cold/hot. And it does do that very well.

4-0 out of 5 stars foojoy wuyi oolong
This tea has a very nice complexity. You can taste both bright and woody flavors.Make sure to only let it steep for a maximum of three minutes as biterness tends to take over the delicate flavors after that.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Tea
I have been drinking Wuyi Oolong tea for 2 year. This is less aromatic than other oolongs, but has more flavors and a rich toasty taste. It is very helpful in digestion. It is widely drunk in Fujian China, and Japan. And it becomes more and more popular all around the China. Oolong has so many different other names: Wu-Lung, Wu-long. It is really the same thing, just different pronunciation from different parts of China (Mandarin, Taiwanese, or Cantonese). The premium oolong can be extremely expensive, most for its fragrance, color, sweetness (where to grow or when to pick). It can cost over $200 for just 1 oz (you won't see them out of China though). But if you are really for its healthy benefit, you can't beat this brand of Wuyi oolong tea, in term of price and flavor. Give it a try.

Editorial Review

Elegantly bold with a stainless-steel tank and black decor, this hot-water reservoir-style home brewer makes 10 cups of cafe-quality coffee in less than three minutes. The coffee brewer's specially designed stainless-steel inner tank, with its 800-watt heater and internal thermostat, keeps water at an ideal temperature for maximum flavor and fast brewing. A vacation switch is provided to completely shut off all electrical components when the unit is not being used for three or more days, but safety features, designed into the coffee brewer, make the daily use of this switch unnecessary. Whenever the brewer has been shut off or unplugged, the filled tank takes about 15 minutes to heat the water to the proper temperature before using. While coffee is being brewed, the newest water in the tank is heated to the proper temperature and held until needed so that hot water is always available. The unit's convenient sliding lid makes it easy to add water, while its custom spray head insures optimum coffee-flavor extraction. Brewed coffee is kept hot with the unit's durable, porcelain-coated, scratch-resistant decanter warmer, which is controlled by a lighted on/off switch. The only routine cleaning required is rinsing the brew funnel and decanter after each use and occasionally wiping the outside of the brewer with a damp cloth. For more thorough cleanings, the brew funnel and decanter are top-rack dishwasher safe. The coffee brewer measures 8-1/2 by 13-1/2 by 11-1/4 inches and carries a three-year limited warranty. 5-0 out of 5 stars A coffee maker's a coffee maker, right?
That's what I thought before I got the Bunn. The coffee actually tastes better and brews faster. I was concerend about having the heat unit on all the time that keeps the reserve hot, but we have brewed coffee almost every day for the 4 months we've had it. I would treat myself to a starbucks occasionally, but I don't want to anymore. I bought some vanilla syrup and enjoy my own coffee just as much. It brews super fast, so even running late I can get a cuppa for the road. This coffee maker rocks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Coffee Maker Ever..
Great tasting and hot coffee! It brews in 3 min. as advertised. No drips/leaks/when pouring from carafe and no sputering/escaping steam. We've had Krups and Braun brands that were good, but this one beats them by a mile. Amazon delivered quickly too!
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Coffee Maker
This is the best coffee maker we have ever purchased. It is fast, efficient, and makes a terrific cup of coffee. The only negative is, we wish it would make 12 cups, but we do comppensate by adding a little extra water after perculation so it will give about 11.After having some of these other named brands self destruct in less than a year, we have never regretted purchasing this one. ... Editorial Review

Lots of folks dislike the burnt flavor that coffee gets when it sits in a glass pot over a heating element. To avoid this, coffee shops often brew right into large thermal pots to keep the coffee warm without it becoming overcooked. The Zojirushi Fresh Brew does that, too, but in home-sized batches. It looks great, too, with a glossy black body and stainless steel carafe and brew basket. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good coffee maker
A few weeks have gone by since I received the Zoji, and I'm very happy with it.While I can't tell if it makes 'better' coffee than other brands, it does make good, hot coffee; and the large carafe is a definite plus! The coffee stays hot for several hours.I have not had problems with small openings, tight seals, etc, as mentioned in some reviews. It's functional and handsome (as far as appliances go . . .)A good buy despite the somewhat steep price -

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this coffee maker!
I think this coffee maker is great.Other people have complained about the coffee going all over if the pot isn't lined up properly when you start the coffee. To me, it is just plain laziness if you can't LOOK at where it needs to be before brewing to insure the coffee doesn't end up on the counter.Sure, maybe you shouldn't HAVE to do that, but big deal, really. For the other features it offers, I am fine with having to pay attention to where the pot is positioned. Some people have also complained about the coffee not staying hot....WHAT?!?!No kidding, I brewed a pot of coffee at 2 pm one afternoon and the next morning, at about 10 am, the coffee was still warm! Not hot enough to drink, but after 20 hours it was still warm?I think that is pretty darned good!I also like the fact that the water spigot, (where the water goes into the grounds), has multiple holes for a shower like effect, which more thoroughly saturates the grounds. The only thing that I have a little problem with is the lid.Because of the shape of the lid, it can hurt your hand a bit when you have to twist it from being on really tight.Other than that, I love it!I also got a Swissgold filter basket to go with it, which I highly recommend.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great purchase
I have had this coffee maker for a year and a half.Having lived in Japan for several years, I knew the brand and the quality.I think it makes great coffee and I am a COMPLETE coffee snob!I like to have a cup throughout the day, and I am always pleased at how warm it is at the end of the day.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works like a filter should
I'm on well water which sometimes tastes flat and also seems to have a high calcium content (the white crud that collects in your pipes). I wouldn't use a filter if it weren't for that. I've seen the stuff that collects on these filters and it's worth it to have great tasting coffee. I change it every other month (or when the white crud is REALLY noticeable on the filter). If you don't like the taste of your water, use a filter. No sense having bad coffee just to save a few dollars.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best!
I bought this machine based on the reviews and I am so glad I did. This is a wonderful espresso machine.Easy to use, makes excellent coffee and foam.I find that to my liking it works best if the grind is fine, the coffee dial is set far to the left (small demi tasse) and the strength dial is at max (to right). Again I love this machine and highly recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars High quality unit, affordable price, great espresso
This was the best price point I could find for a super-automatic espresso maker. It was also among the most highly rated by other customers. The unit has been great!I've had it for 4 months. My friends are always amazed by the quality of the espresso and they all want one of these machines too, now.
4-0 out of 5 stars Almost What I Wanted
I took "Greg's" advice (see review above) and bought it at Bed, Bath & Beyond and saved 20%. Great tip, Greg. The machine is great and great looking and worked as advertised. Except, I like Lattes made with steamed milk and just "a little" bit of foam. This unit does not really have a steam wand, it has a "frother" attachment which produces lots and lots of foam. I used less milk and I used more milk but I could not get it right--the frother with its foam just overtook the milk pitcher. The problem is you cannot take off the frother and use a steam wand because under the frother is a plastic tube that is held in place by (you guessed it) the frother. If you like really large quantities of foam this will do it for you. So, went back to BBB and bought the Saeco Vspresso machine. Retails for $999 but (thanks again Greg) with my coupon I bought it for $800. It has all the features of the Delonghi plus you can remove the frother and the steam wand is available to use alone. It also has a stainless steel boiler and my wife loves this part--it is more compact on the counterthan the Delonghi. Again, this machine worked as advertised and would please most people.

There's nothing extraordinary about the filters except that they were designed to filter tap water used to make coffee. They definitely work and make the coffee taste great.

5-0 out of 5 stars If You Have Never Replaced Your Filter...

5-0 out of 5 stars Not just a pretty gadget
This frother is the best new kitchen gadget I own.Not only does it work efficiently, but it makes the best froth, from low-fat milk (preferred), in just a few seconds.Best method:put just a bit of milk into a glass measuring cup, froth for a few seconds, then heat in the microwave.Spoon onto the top of your hot coffee.Cappuccino at home in no time!

5-0 out of 5 stars More than you expect
I bought this item in a store in Austin two years ago. I was regretting the purchase the moment I paid (I thought that $20 was too much for a milk frother, because all those cappuccino and espresso machines include a frother, but it never works as you expected, so, why this little thing was going to work better than those machines?). But then I tried it. I made a mess the first times but I loved it. Some weeks later, I went to a store to buy an old fashioned-Spanish style coffee maker. A perfect combination for my Aerolatte! I forgot about machines.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent convenient frother
I like my milk frothed when i make an espresso latte or cappucino. It was always a hassle to use the frother on the espresso machine which always required some work to clean. This little frother is great - I heat up my milk in the microwave, grab my frother and in 3 seconds the milk iw ready for the espresso.A great buy. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars AVOID THIS ONE
Only had this coffee maker ( second replacement) one year and it leaked from all over my counter. I asked for a replacement, crazy huh, and was told NO my time had run out. Well I am off on a hunt for a good coffee maker. THIS WAS NOT IT !! Do not waste your money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Coffeemaker!
I had been using a Braun Flavorselect for several years, which was a great coffemaker but was showing its age.So when I started reading up on new models out there, feedback didn't seem so great for the new Brauns. So I found this one, loved the looks and the features, and the feedback seemed very positive.
3-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money.
I purchased this electric because of it's striking design, and programable delayed brewing. While it worked nicely for two years, just a month out of warranty it died! Overhaul, it was a good coffee maker but several design quirks made it difficult to use. The very small water reservior filling area is almost unusable. It's such a confined area, you end up spilling water all over the place. The second quirk is the NON- LIT very small digital display. Putting aside it only lasted two years, I decided to purchase another one. I ran out to one of local retailers and paid the $79 retail pop, used the new pot 3 days and the display died. It would shut off mid brew. At this point I returned it and bought a Mr Coffee 12 cup programable pot which I am very pleased with. In closing, the Cuisinart is too expensive, and doesn't over anything different than the 100s of other brands out there. ... Read more

Uniquely designed with similarities to an espresso machine, this coffeemaker features a 1450-watt boiler that brews a 4-ounce cup of coffee in just 30 seconds, or two 4-ounce cups or one 8-ounce mug in 60 seconds. 5-0 out of 5 stars Extra Good
The coffee maker is the most convenient and best I have had in my 60 years of marriage and the pods make the best coffee.I have recomended the products to many, many people.
3-0 out of 5 stars Pod update
I bought this unit nearly a year ago and reviewed it then. Generally happy with the machine but grossly unhappy with the proprietary pods....buy the wrong ones and the machine leaks all over the place. This finally drove my husband and me crazy so we put the machine away. Two week ago we ran out of ground coffee, had some old pods so we pulled this machine out. LOVED the machine (sleek, cute, convenient)used it for a few days and fell in love all over again. THEN came the old problems. For some reason, the non-Senseo pods we had purchased worked but the vanilla flavored ones triggered big leaks. Husband still loved the machined and asked me to get more pods. Went to THREE grocery stores including Kroger and Food Lion, neither sold Senseo. Why are the manufacturers forcing a Beta/VHS battle?!? PLEASE make standard pods! These things are expensive enough. To then have to overlay boutique shopping to find the store that stocks pods for the particular machine that you have bought is incredibly annoying. If you buy a machine buy a lot of pods or research where to buy and, for god's sake, do not deviate your pods lest you suffer the leaking of the wrong pod!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I feel so spoiled!!
this coffee machine and gift pack is something I really didn't NEED but my daughter raved about it so much I purchased one too.Now I am spoiled with the best, freshest, coffee in the world each morning!Easy to use, no waste, FAST and FRESH...what more could you ask for?I LOVE it. ... Read more

Great for a dorm room or office, this cordless kettle lets you enjoy tea, coffee, or even dried soups at any time and without a range. And it's detachable from its power base for convenient pouring. The unobtrusive power base shuts off when the kettle is removed from the platform, and the concealed heating element never comes into contact with the water, keeping it from tasting flat or scalded. Made from high-quality stainless steel, the mirror-finished kettle is attractive and rust-resistant, and its 36-inch cord can be hidden in the base, making for easy, cord-free storage. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars For Right-handers it is fine
This is my second electric tea kettle. My first, a Russell-Hobbs, was a great workhorse but it broke down after about 10 years of regular use--not bad.I wonder if this new kettle will meet that. The handle seems only lightly attached to the body--but I've had no problems yet. 5-0 out of 5 stars tea pot from heaven
This is the best tea pot you can own....just don't let your kids put it on the stove or you will find yourself searching the web for another one...

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent product.
I have been using this kettle at least 4 to 5 times DAILY for a little over three years with ZERO problems. It boils the water quickly, and the stainless surface has held up great.I was surprised to read other reviews where people reported the handle fell off!I carefully examined mine and it appears to be soldered on pretty well.I will keep an eye on it, but this has truly been a really great kettle for us so far. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars It Is What It Is
I bought mine several months ago and use it exclusively for espresso. That I would give it 4 stars. As for customer service, all they have voice mail telling you they will call you back but they never do.For that I give them one star.

5-0 out of 5 stars Like having a coffe shop in your kitchen
I first would like to say that if you are the occasional esspresso drinker, then this machine is to costly to use every once in a while go with a cheaper brand. Now for the rest of you that are die hard esspresso drinkers this is the machine for you.
4-0 out of 5 stars love this machine
I had a very old machine (a Salton), then tried a couple other briels and finally found this machine. It works excellent.I drink mostly lattes and have no problems with the brewing or the frothing. The machine is a beauty and the drinks taste better than the coffee houses I just visited in Paris. The controls are simple too and the new models do take the pods. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The best expresso Pot
Bought this to replace my at least 10 year old Bialetti aluminum pot, and I am not disappointed. It makes the best expresso ever and is easy to clean. I bought this along with the Aerolatte "to go" milk frother, and have been making great cappuccinos with skim milk. It is also very pretty to look at; I love this pot!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Espresso
This is a beautiful little espresso maker that makes great coffee. It's just that simple.Everything works well, is constructed well, easy to clean, and comes with a really funny badly translated manual (don't worry, the instructions are still clear, just funny).

5-0 out of 5 stars Best on the Market
I've tried the aluminum Bialetti Espresso Maker and although it works well, this one is superior. Worth the splurge--it's very well constructed, the flavor of the espresso is pure, and the elegant redesign of the espresso maker draws a lot of compliments. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great for 1 person
Such a better cup of coffee than the drip type. It's great for 2 cups serving. And the best thing is it doesn't take up anyspace on my counter. It is just as convenient as an automatic. Why doesn't everyone use these?!

3-0 out of 5 stars 5 oz. cups
Boden MUST be talking about 5 oz cups when they say this is a 4 cups press. It barely fills my 20 oz mug and then it's kinda over flowing.I love this french press, it makes great coffee, I just wish I had more information to have bought a 6 cup press instead.

5-0 out of 5 stars Coffee Lover's Dream!!!
Pros: Great tasting coffee, easy to use, very stylish.
