5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE this thing!!!
I had originally purchased a cordless electric kettle for heating water. While it did work, it required a minimum amount of water which was more than I ever needed and took a few minutes to heat. This is SO much more convenient!I can premeasure just the amount of water I need before I add to the dispenser and it literally heats it to boiling in mere seconds!!This is so handy for any "instant" food...oatmeal, cup of noodles, mashed potatoes, and hot cocoa to name a few. This is definately one of the best and most used appliances I own.I highly recommend it!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and fast
This product has been around for over a decade, and for good reason: it works, and works well.My mother bought me one in Fall 1993 when I went off to college and lived in a tiny dorm room.It has served me well ever since.Nearly 12 years later, it still works as well as the day I got it.It really does heat 16 ounces of water to boiling in under 2 minutes. It's insulated so the outside does not get hot.Just remember to only heat water inside of it, not other liquids. It has a nice, clean look and a modern design which I'd even call "cute".The cord stores underneath the base when not in use, for a clutter-free appearance.I'd recommend it to everyone for a wide variety of situations. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Nice, for a quick cup of coffee.
I received the Mr. Coffee Home Cafe as a gift. I already owned a pod machine that was a "free" gift from a subscription coffee supplier, but I prefer the Mr. Coffee system. Mr. Coffee takes up less space, it's a lot quieter and brews a more consistent cup of coffee (the French Roast is very tasty).
5-0 out of 5 stars just enough
i found this coffee maker to produce just enough coffee for myself and 1 or 2 others.generally i have issues with these sort of machines, but for this coffee maker i did not have any problems.althought id have to agree that its not the best cappacino, it makes a great cup of regualr coffee.

5-0 out of 5 stars We love it!
I did a lot of research, read all the reviews here and Consumer Reports. This was CR's Best Buy. We didn't have any trouble priming it. If you read and follow the directions carefully you shouldn't have any issues. Only once did we have the leaking issue mentioned in one of these reviews, and that was user-error. We had used a specialty coffee pod and pressed 14 oz, but not pressed the "specialty-coffee" button. We've had no problems with the spout. Normally, I wouldn't buy Folgers (who make Home Brew coffee) but it's just to our liking. It took a few tries to figure which was the correct strength for us (7 oz,9 oz or 14) but we got it now and are really pleased. The 14oz is enough coffee for the 2 of us after dinner. The cappucinos are horrible but I don't expect Folgers to do a good capp. And that's the coffee's fault not the machine's fault. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Do not hesitate......
If you have been hesitating in making this purchase DONT......I love a good cup of coffee, have no time or tolerance for poor coffee, and I dislike throwing away old coffee; I refuse to warm coffee up in the micro(it tastes funny)and my coffee butler gave up the ghost......decided to try the new single serving makers. Absolutely wasted my time and money on a Senseo (coffee not hot enough and has an artificial taste.....what's with the crema stuff anyway? yuck) Decided to try a Keurig B-50, figured that if it was anything like the previous purchase it would go back...and fast... Happy to say I LOVE IT.......Really enjoy my HOT, FRESH cup of coffe, also love the Lemon Zinger tea (an unexpected plus). I am giving them as Christmas gifts this year to my coffaholic relatives and friends.

1-0 out of 5 stars PERFECT FOR THE RECKLESS CONSUMER
We had this machine at work and made maybe 6 cups a day on a busy day. Within a month the machine broke - Keurig did replace it right away but then the second broke as well (a co worker bought one for his home and had the same problem!!). they gave us an upgrade on the model and this one is still going. The Coffee was good but the tea was not. Most importantly people is IT IS WASTEFUL. WITH LITTLE PLASTIC CUPS FILLING UP THE GARBAGE, AND IN OUR CASE TWO MACHINES IN THE DUMP. COME ON PEOPLE LETS HAVE SOME CONSCIOUS COMSUMERISM AND SLOW DOWN. What ever happened to putting the coffee in a paper filter and pouring hot water over it and letting the fragrance wrap around you. If you are that busy and needy for coffee instantly maybe you should be looking at the job ads or self help books and not over priced hunks of wasteful plastic for greedy americans!

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE AT FIRST K CUP!!!
HI, my name is Michele and I have a coffee problem.....LOVE IT. They say the first step in recovery is to admitt you have a problem. WELL there is no problemgetting a good cup of coffee NOW. I used to drive 20 minutes out of my way to Starbucks for coffee. NOT NOW. Love everything, easy, no mess, fast, durable, fair price!!!SO manyonline companies,(try ebay) as well as Target sell the Kcups that I can make my own favortite lattes, and caramel this or that...I bought my machine at BJ's, came with 90 free K-cups and total price was 129.00.I have purchased OH SO MANY makers and thought enough is enough, I had given up. 5-0 out of 5 stars The Key to Great Coffee at Home
I could never figure out why the coffee I made at home didn't taste as good as the coffee I bought at Starbucks and other gourmet makers - even though I buy high quality beans and grind them myself. The answer, apparently, is that drip home brewers just don't brew at the right temperature.A chemex brewer is a "back to basics" system of making coffee where you pour boiling hot water directly over the grounds. You control the temperature and the special filters remove any bitterness from coffee. This is an inexpensive way to make great coffee at home. The only inconvenience is that you have to boil the water yourself in a kettle and you have to pour water into the chemex 2-3 times to make a full pot, so you can't just walk away while it's brewing. Also, the chemex doesn't keep the coffee warm, so I find myself putting second and third cups into the microwave.Nevertheless, the taste of the coffee is so outstanding that I can't bear to go back to my Mr. Coffee machine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Coffee tastes as beautiful as this maker looks ! A+
It is a very pretty maker, and coffee is made under perfect conditions. The price is good through Amazon, just make sure you use suggested filters, the other DO NOT work... (learned from experience).

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent single servecoffeemaker
After reading several reviews on other single serve coffeemakers I was discouraged. I was thinking there no good single serve coffeemakers out there. But I found one with my Procter Silex!
1-0 out of 5 stars Why did I try Proctor-Silex again??
After me first coffeemaker began leaking- and it was a realtively new proctor-silex 12 cup maker- I decided to try one of these "cute" single serve ones. Why, oh why did I purchase this brand??First, it does take around 3-4 minutes to brew a single cup of coffee or tea. This seems like a longer time than most. And now, after 2 or 3 frustrating weeks, it's leaking just like the old one did.Not user error, as the water comes from underneath the coffeemaker. Also, the coffee is not coming out as hot either, which causes me to wonder if it's the heating element...Even though this one can use loose grounds or pods, it is not worth the frustration!Try a different brand. My sister-in-law has really enjoyed her Sensao!

Editorial Review

This 12-cup coffee maker brews at high temperature in about half the time of other models--meaning there's a shorter wait between your eyes opening in the morning and your first dosage of caffeine. The stainless-steel, copper-braised (not aluminum) heating element ensures cleaner operation with less calcification. The automatic pause-and-pour will make sure you don't have to be awake enough to shut the coffee maker off before pulling the carafe out from under the spout, and the soft-touch on-off button is easy to find even when your eyes are still full of sleep. Featuring a front fill and removable cone filter liner, the coffee maker also has hidden cord storage to reduce countertop clutter. Sleek, black, contemporary-styled housing will match any kitchen décor. The 1,450-watt, 120-volt coffee maker includes a one-year warranty. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Melitta MEFB2B coffeemaker
I researched coffeemakers quite a bit before purchasing this one. It works well, is easy to set up, and I haven't had a bit of trouble with it in the last year. It makes very good coffee, fast.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you like your coffee fast and hot...
This is a great coffeemaker. It makes the coffee fast, in fact faster than any other coffeemaker we have had.But to me, the best thing is how hot the coffee is!I have never had a drip coffeemaker which made hot coffee. This coffee is so hot, you can only sip it when you first pour it.We are very happy with this coffeemaker!

Editorial Review

This 4-cup coffee press is so handsome, you'll want to display it frontand center on the kitchen counter, not hide it away in a cabinet. Its strikingmodern lines are a fitting tribute to Eileen Gray, the Irish designer andarchitect who adopted the cafés and salons of Paris as her home. Theelegantly patterned stainless-steel frame is easy on the eyes but also protectsthe glass jug within, and the squared handle is easy to grip even when the pressis full of boiling water. The French press brewing method prevents scorching ofthe beans, and because there's no filter involved, all of the flavorful oilsstay in the drink. Simply measure out one rounded tablespoon of coarsely groundcoffee per 4-ounce cup, pour very hot (not boiling) water over it, let thecontents brew for at least 4 minutes, then slowly depress the plunger. Thisparticular press even includes a coffee scoop and a timer to make the brewingprocess easy. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Coffee for one...
I purchased this smaller unit because I prepare coffee for one...and this works wonderfully.I think that it will be necessary to be particularly careful after removing the glass container from the metal frame for cleaning as the glass appears to be very fragile. If you provide the proper ingreditents and grind, it will really do its part to start your day. I am pleased with this purchase.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent press
I purchased this French press for my husband several weeks ago and I love it. Happy with the regular coffee maker, I had little interest in the item until I saw it in action for the first time. It's so easy to use and the flavor of the coffee is much smoother. It's also beautiful. I purchased two matching cups at the same time and they remind me of Russian tea glasses---a collecting favorite of mine. I highly recommend this all-around good buy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Read the info
This is a decent unit. For those who don't take the time to read or can't understand what they read the product listing states the scoop included is for a 4 ounce cup(4 x 4 is 16).The usual sold in the US coffeemaker is a 4-6 ounces per cup capacity.Coffee instructions say usually measures are for a 6 ounce cup.A cup is not what you use or the standard liquid 8 ounce cup. Most advertised 10 and 12 cup coffeemakers hold the same total amount in the carafe. The manufacturer calcultaes what will sell. This has been going on since I bought my first coffeemaker 30 years ago. Caveat emptor! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Braun's AromaDeluxe is a no-nonsense, easy-to-use coffeemaker for those who still prefer a basic cup of coffee. The coffeemaker brews up to 10 cups using a fast brewing method that thoroughly extracts the rich flavor and aroma from your ground coffee. The integrated Brita water filter also contributes to better-tasting coffee by screening out chlorine and other harsh minerals, plus it prevents calcification within the water tank. A marker on the top of the water tank helps you keep track of when the water filter needs to be changed. Other handy extras on the AromaDeluxe include a filter release button, which swings the detachable filter basket open for filling or easy cleaning, and a pause-and-serve feature, which stops the brewing while you pour a cup of coffee midway through a cycle. For safety, the glass carafe has a comfortable, nonslip handle with an open design to accommodate larger hands. Further safety measures include a large, red power button that is easy to see but difficult to switch on by accident. This coffeemaker is covered by a one-year limited warranty. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars More Affordable Than BUNN...And Better!
We take our coffee very seriously. The right brewing temperature is key for a great cup of coffee.Recently, our Cuisinart coffeemaker, which cost three times as much, bit the dust.I decided to try a BUNN as I had heard so many great things about them. After shelling out a fair amount of money for that and hoping for great things, we were sadly disappointed, since what promised to be HOT coffee was not even close. No more big dollar coffeemakers for us!After reading favorable reviews on Braun, I decided to give this model a try.In one word:"WOW!"Let's see....not only do we have a sleek design, a Brita water purifier included, a super fast brewing time, but we also have HOT coffee (Gee, what a novelty.)You can't beat this coffeemaker!....it's a dandy for this price.

4-0 out of 5 stars Keep it simple
After much research and having to take another coffee maker back to the store (Black and Decker model - horrible)I decided to keep it simple. Man this is by far the best little coffee maker for the price. Makes hot coffee, quit, easy handling and cleaning. I love this little thing and the water filter works well too, you can get the replacement filters on ebay -two for 9.99 that's not bad if you have bad water. So I give it 2 thumbs up.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not As Advertised
I bought this product to replace one that had broken that I really liked. I had to return this product THREE times because it does NOT (as it says in the description) come with the perfect pour carafe which is what I wanted since the standard carafe drips EVERYWHERE. On the third time of returning it, I asked why they kept sending me the wrong carafe and they said that the perfect pour was discontinued in this size. I then mentioned to Amazon that they might want to remove that part of the description, but they have not.

5-0 out of 5 stars hard to find feature
With the advent of fancy featured coffee makers this is the right coffee maker for us.We like to brew 1 large mug of coffee at a time so we have fresh tasting coffee. Most models now have a carafe with the stop brew feature so you can pour out a cup while it is brewing. But you must use their carafe. With this maker you can use your own mug.And if the carafe breaks (and it costs as much as the maker to replace sometimes) you can still use the maker with the mug or other container.I sometimes use a stainless steel pitcher.Sure this maker isn't fancy, but I just want a simple cup of coffee and this maker does it with an appliance that doesn't take up lots of counter space.I haven't had any problems with messes or clean up with this maker.

2-0 out of 5 stars Faulty Carafe
The Carafe design on this coffeemaker is not very good.No matter how careful or how I adjust my grip, water/coffee leaks from the top and down the side.I have to place a towel under it to prevent a puddle on my counter. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I Live on This! The Darker the Roast the Better
Starbucks Espresso Roast is hands down my all time favorite beverage. I drink this incredible dark roast, which makes it taste (and smell) so great, day and night. After trying so many different roasts, the whole beans in this one are awesome. The flavor is so rich. Once you drink this, you'll never go back to weak, poorly grown, watered down, bland so-called coffee. The Arabica beans are what to look for that make this full body coffee so great.
5-0 out of 5 stars Has Starbucks changed their roast recently?
It seems like about a couple months ago there appeared this odd but distinct new smell to most of Starbuck's coffee. Mainly in the Expresso, but lesser in breakfast blends.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Coffee
As for espresso coffee, this is the best by far. I own a pavoni europiccloa lever machine and have made home espresso everyday for the past 11 years. To date, Starbucks is the best coffee and the only coffee I have used for the past couple of years (I have tried Lavazza and Illy recently and simply was disappointed).

Editorial Review

"Versatile" and "sturdy" aptly describe this well-designed appliance. Once the tank is filled and preheated to brewing temperature (in about 15 minutes), the Pour-Omatic immediately begins brewing coffee whenever more water (2-cup minimum) is added. So you're never more than three minutes away from a fresh cup of coffee. Holds brewed coffee indefinitely at the perfect temperature for drinking, or you can use the preheated water for tea or other beverages. The brewing funnel fits easily into positioning slots that suspend it securely over the 6-cup glass decanter, as does the hot-water funnel. Also included are two large packages of Bunn drip filters, a spring for deliming the drip mechanism, and a clearly written, illustrated instruction booklet to help you get the best performance from this appliance. 5-0 out of 5 stars Very pleased...
I was skeptical about spending so much money on a home coffee maker. But I figured it would be money well spent if it is well made and will last much longer than cheaper brands. We love our A10 Pour-O-Matic! It is super fast, easy to clean, and best of all it makes the nicest, smoothest, most rich tasting coffee we've ever had in a home brewer. I would highly recommend this coffee brewer, splurge, you won't be sorry!

It will not make a latte but if you want a good cup of coffee in less time it takes to brush your teeth this it it.
5-0 out of 5 stars If you love coffee, Bunn is a Must.
I bought my Bunn coffee maker in 1991.It's worked great and has lasted through many moves. It brews a pot of coffee in about 3 mins and the taste is great compared to the other coffee machines out there, which leave you with a bitter tasting cup of coffee. So if you love your coffee and are tired of waiting for your old machine to finish brewing, I highly recommend a Bunn. Also, you can get them at other stores for a lot less than $200. ... Read more

Editorial Review

With a stainless-steel thermal carafe, the TCMATD Toastmaster coffee maker from Rival keeps its brew piping hot. The carafe holds 8 cups and thanks to its insulation and heat-retaining properties, it keeps java fresh much longer than glass counterparts. The machine's LCD clock and timer mechanism can be pre-programmed to produce perfectly-timed piping-hot beverages first thing in the morning or just as dessert is about to be served. And for those without patience, carafe removal automatically pauses the maker's dripping flow to allow for spill-free brewing interruptions. Safety features include a lighted on/off switch and an auto shut-off system. The cone filter basket offers a removable liner for simplified cleaning while an integrated easy-to-read water level indicator keeps the maker from running dry. When not in use, the cord stows easily tucked out of sight. The machine wipes clean with a damp cloth and should never be immerse in water. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS COFFEE POT!!!
Dad told me not to throw the old coffee pot away before we tried this new one.I didn't listen. This Toastmaster Stainless Steel Coffee Maker is the worst coffee pot ever made.Ditto with the other comments about spillage, inconvenience, and too quick shut-off time. And only 8 cups at a time.I thought it was a 12 cup pot but I was mistaken.Useless coffee pot.Who wants to start their day off with this kind of hassle. Not me!Thanks for letting me voice my opinion.deanna

1-0 out of 5 stars Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker
I hoped this would be an excellent way of having coffeee made and kept warm. Right away I had difficulty with the coffee brewing and pouring anywhere but into the carafe. I called Toastmaster who told me a particular way I had to put the carafe and the funnel but although it improved short term it proved too awkward to keep getting it "right" and could not rely on walking away to let it brew alone or put the timer on. I would like to return the coffee maker but have not done so yet.

1-0 out of 5 stars Overflows Consistently
I bought this coffee maker to match my KitchenAid blender and coffee gridner. The coffee maker is attractive but works terribly. If you make more than 1 or 2 cups it overflows hot coffee onto the counter top. There is almost always grounds in the coffee too. When I called KitchenAid customer service they said they made a revision to fix the problems and sent me another one. It has the same problems. This is NOT user error I have tried different coffees, grinds, and positioning the carafe differently. This coffee maker is just a distrastrous design mistake. Finally I got KitchenAid to buy the coffee maker back and got a Cuisinart one. It works perfectly, costs less, and has more features. I would recommend Cuisinart and highly recommend that you do not buy this shoddy coffee maker - you will regret it.

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST coffee maker I have ever owned
I'm glad I didn't listen to the reviews here!I figured how hard is it to brew a pot of coffee?Apparently very difficult for many people!I pour a bottle of spring water into the back of the thing add my Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee and viola.Seems to me many of the problems experienced are all operator error so don't blame the manufacturer. It's a very stylish design and I hope they come out with even more cool colors like orange and apple green and bright yellow.I bought the red one and it looks great in my kitchen.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best coffee maker I've ever owned
I'm glad I bought it before I read these reviews - mine has NO problems with spills, no grounds in the coffee, no error messages (if you see an error message, I suggest you exchange it for another of the same model - it's probably a quality control issue). It definitely gets 5 stars - just read the instructions, don't use both filters at once, and watch where you pour the water. What I like: 1. The water filter really works - it makes a superb tasting cup of coffee - the difference is noticeable. 2. The coffee is really HOT and stays hot, unlike the Black & Decker I had with the insulated carafe (kept it warm for hours but hot for only a few minutes). 3. The 1-4 cup brew option takes the guesswork out of brewing a partial pot. 4. The split lid! A real advantage since all my counter space has standard height overhead cabinets. Not only can I open the top while it's under the cabinet, I can remove and replace the basket and even pour the water in, although I can't use the carafe for this - I use a 2-quart juice jar on which I've drawn a line to mark the correct water level (much easier than moving the whole thing around every time I use it). 4. The controls - intuitive, well placed, spill proof, and the clock has a red LED so you can actually read it. And overall, the design is elegant and compact. ... Read more
