I very seldom write reviews on Amazon, but I will write one for this machine.It makes the same old coffee taste better.The flavor is more complex, deeper, more subtle shades.Words don't convey tastes very well.Buy the thing and try it.I bought the Goldtone filter as well.It fits like a glove.

Great coffee at a great price
I'm the first to admit that I'm a coffee snob. I rarely drink coffee in resaurants or coffee shops, preferring my own espresso brew to all others.Being so picky, finding a good, everyday drip coffee pot to keep on hand when I need to brew a full pot for company at such a cheap price seemed impossible. I still can't believe how good the coffee is from this pot. Mind you, it's not sheshe gormet, but it IS very good, everyday coffee - hot coffee. A good quality thermos will keep it hot for hours.

Great for Young Singles or Couples!
I love my Mr. Coffee! I bought it a few months ago, and it is the only one I've ever bought. I picked the brand because my father had a white Mr. Coffee since I was a kid and still uses the same one today. I reckoned, therefore, that it was a pretty good brand to buy.

What Happened to the Bunn Quality?
I've been a loyal Bunn coffeemaker fan for years, but this model has me turning to other brands. Although the design is sturdy and durable, the practicality of it sorely lacking.I have not used a coffee decanter that drips worse than this one.I pour my coffee into a small mug over the sink, and I always have a large puddle afterwards.The coffee isn't hot enough, not even after initially brewed.
GREAT Brewer. BUT, not for everyone.
This is my second Bunn. My first was an old as dirt brewer that I bought cheap, just to make sure I would be happy with this type of brewing system. I was, so now I made the jump to a new brewer.
Brews FAST, a little too fast....
I finally broke down and bought this model, my first coffeemaker w/ a Thermal Carafe.I'd prefer a 12-cup model, and one w/ a timer so I can 'wake up and smell the coffee', but I figured that the fact that the Bunn brews a pot in ~3 min would ameliorate both of those shortcomings.

I equated "Krups" with "quality"...
I purchased this coffee maker for the following reasons: 1. 10-cup thermal carafe, 2. Cool stainless steel look, 3. Krups name. Three weeks later, I returned it for the following reasons: 1. Weird taste, 2. Difficulty pouring, 3. Much-less-than-10-cup carafe. It was my first--and possibly only--foray into the Krups coffee maker domain.

Plastic Smell Unbearable
Do not buy this product, the coffee smells intensely of plastic, and Krups has no solution for it.Not to mention, they have awful customer service.I love all my other Krups models, but this one is a failure.

A must have
If you have the 12 cup Bodum coffee press, you are making some of the best coffee you'll ever taste. Be sure and get the replacement carafe, as eventually, you'll bump it on the faucet and chip it. I'ts a breeze to replace.

Buy backups!
If you enjoy your coffee press like I do then make sure you have a couple replacement decanters in your house.It's easy to replace, just unscrew the bands a bit and slide the glass in and you are good to go once more enjoying that wonderful coffee.

Not worth the money
I did a lot of research before purchasing this coffee maker.I spent a lot of money, and now after less than a year, I am looking for a replacement, and it won't be another DeLonghi product.The gold filter disentegrated after 3 months.When it came time to replace the charcoal filter in the water filtration unit, I could not find anyone who carried them.I contacted DeLonghi, and they sent me to some online dealer who never returned my emails.The basket that holds the filters has a plastic piece that keeps falling off.And finally, believe everyone who says the carafe leaks when you pour the coffee.I thought they were just crazy and couldn't pour properly, but the only way to avoid half of your coffee running all over the counter is to hold the carafe over the sink at about three feet above your mug, then pour very very slowly.At least the drips will go down the drain.
Great coffemaker and the best customer support
I bought this coffeemaker from Starbucks, believing that if they recommend it, it must be great. Ultimately they were vindicated. My unit initially exhibited all of the problems others have written about: overflows and an inability to pour without spills, then later on another very serious problem. The good news is that DeLonghi has great customer service, they are acutely aware of issues with this unit and they fully solved my problems. DeLonghi promptly sent me a new lid and new carafe which worked perfectly. (It seems many units were delivered having been fitted with an incorrect seal, causing the spill problems.) After receiving the new lid and carafe, all seemed ok, barring the rare, occasional overflow. Then one day, the coffemaker just died! Lights out. Done. I thought I was surely in for a protracted dispute with the DeLonghi company. They surprised me (perhaps I'm jaded) by immediately sending me a brand newly boxed unit, complete with all the accessories.

I disagree with many of the other people reviewing this coffee maker.I buy a new coffee maker about every six to nine months because I am fussy about coffee quality and features.First and foremost, this maker brews an excellent pot of coffee.And, it's stylish looks are great on the kitchen counter.It got my four stars based on coffee quality alone.Now a couple of the insignificant negatives that resulted in 4 instead of 5 stars.The time setting, and controls could be much easier to use and more user friendly.The carafe could pour better, although after a few uses I now know how to use the carafe without trashing the kitchen counters.There - that's it - two negatives, both of which after using the maker for a while, I'll get used to.The positive features, such as the removable water tank, the easy to use and clean filter holder, top access, design and the GREAT COFFEE make this a coffee maker I would reccomend to anyone. ... Can't get rid of foul taste
There is something inside that's tainting the flavor of the coffee. You can smell it while it's brewing. I figured it was just the "new" smell but it persists. I've cleaned it twice with vinegar... no help.

Tasteless Tea
Tea does not taste very good with the Sunbeam Hot Tea Maker.This tea maker also uses too many tea bags.It requires two tea bags to make 12 to 16 ounces of tea.I was amazed by how quickly this item did make tea.The reason it makes tea so fast is because it simply pours hot water over your tea bags.Why not boil water in the microwave and pour it over your tea bags?You would get the same result.This tea maker doesn't brew tea.You really need to boil tea to get the flavor from the tea bags.Another interesting feature of this item is that you literally have to take it apart to clean it.There are five different components that you will have to clean after every use.A teapot is much easier to use than this.It takes a little longer to boil tea in a teapot, but a teapot produces better-tasting tea.You should try to get a good teapot instead of this.Modern whistling teapots are made of stainless steel and porcelain.They brew tea in about 15 minutes.

Makes great tasting tea
In my opinion, the TeaDrop tea maker makes great tasting tea. I've been using it for several months now and have been pretty much pleased with it. I'm trying to drink more tea than I do coffee.
Attractive and Functional
BACK STORY: I bought the Tea Drop to replace a Mrs. Tea unit that was MANY years old (but still working). I like the shape, color, and weight of the Tea Drop much better. For tea purists, the fact that automatic tea brewers do not bring water to a boil is problematic. For me, it matters not. I am a pragmatist. I just want a good pot of tea with a minimum of attention to the process. I want to push the button, go take a shower, and know that my tea will be waiting when I return. I brew my tea "in the pot"--the same way I had to do it with the Mrs. Tea.

I just purchased this filter and it is much smaller than the filter basket of the coffee maker. I thought it would fit snugly, but it does not. There is a gap between the outside of the filter and the basket.

Don't buy this product, because is not bigger then other filters that are sold at grocery stores.I first bougth one from a grocery store and I thought it was too small to fit right in the hamilton beach brewstation so I went and bot this product thinking it would fit better to my amazement it did not it was no biger then the filter I bought at the grocery store and I pay only 3.95 for the filter it was black and decker filter.I promise you will be mad when you get it cause you would think it would be custom made for the actual brewstation but is not.

You get what you pay for
This is the least priced combo coffee/espresso maker on Amazon. It works and does its job, but to a certain extent. You really do get what you pay for. So for the price, I would say it meets expectations. If you're not picky and your priority is cost, then you could say that this could do. But if you really want quality, then go for another one.
Excellent for the price
I have been using the Mr. Coffee Espresso machine and coffeemaker for just over a month now and have had absolutely no problems with it. My past experience with Mr. Coffee has been that the plastic handle tends to break or come loose after a while. This particular design seems to be slightly better, though time will tell...

We were excited to have an espresso maker in the house. I wish we had now bought two seperate units. This machine has broken, and we've had it just over a year. 3 Cups does not equal 3 measuring cups
It really equals 3 tea cups.I found the name of the product on Amazon completely misleading.No where on the packaging does it say "3-cup."As a prior review says, it is much smaller. This is enough coffee for one person (barely).I recommend the larger size.

French Press Makes Superior Coffee
French Press will make superior cup of coffee compared to regular coffee makers. I ordered this when I was staying at a hotel because I couldn't stand how bad their coffee tasted. Using the same coffee ground, this press made impressive tasting coffee.
Great small cup of coffee
This thing is so simple and easy.Don't waste your money on more expensive 3 cup (that's euro sizes - it equals about 10/12oz) french press.This one handles the job perfectly.It has two screens, which means no/less grinds in your cup. you have the normal press screen, plus a screen attached to the lid that acts as double protection when you pour.It's great.Not sure how you can break this sucker either (see other review).it's simple and uncomplicated.You really don't need to throw it in the dishwasher...in fact they don't recommend it.Here's what the instructions say about cleaning:"Although BonJour coffee and tea maker parts are top rack dishwasher safe, we recommend hand washing with a mild detergent."Nuff said.Just give it a good rise right after you're done pouring out your coffee and you're good to go.for the price, this thing can't be beat! ... Agreat product till they start leaking!
This is a highly recommended product if you are willing to buy a new one every 2 years or so. I have read of others having the same problem that we did. We have one & it started to leak around the bottom edges a few drops at 1st. As time went by, it would leak more according to how much water was in the pitcher; (the seal inside the pitcher was slowly getting worse).

Best coffee press
I love my Columbia coffee press because:
I should have read the user reviews -- beware of small size!
This is a lovely press, very well made and beautifully designed. I read the description ("3-Cup") and assumed that this meant the press could make 3 cups of coffee (at 8 ounces each). That is not the case! This charming little press holds just a cup and a half of liquid, or 12 ounces. That's enough for one mug of coffee. So you might want to consider the larger 8-Cup model, which I am guessing by extrapolation that you may get 3 actual cups from.

GREAT COFFEE/GREAT PRICE
I have had this machine since May 2002, My husband and I LOVE it.We used it all the time until it started leaking.We brought it to the service center for repair (in NJ) and after 3 months it was finally fixed..The cost to repair it was 1/2 of what we origionally paid for it.My suggestion would be that after several years use...buy another and dont repair it.

Very disappointed - makes a sloppy cup of coffee
I admit that I am a bit of a coffee snob but this Krups coffee maker not only makes a weak cup of coffee but also makes a mess of your kitchen.Towards the end of the brew cycle water spits from the spout and ends up all over the unit and your kitchen.Other pod coffee makers create a nice layer of creme on top but this just leaves bubbles.I would not recommend this machine if you want clean-up work after every time you brew coffee.For the cost, I'd buy the Simple Human until as it makes the perfect cup of coffee with no mess.

This is the second one-cup coffee maker I have owned.The first was mainly disappointing but this one is great.I was a little worried about getting a 1 cup maker again but figured since it was Krups it would be a good one.I have a Krups 10 cup maker that I am happy with and now I have a Krups one cup maker that I am happy with as well!
A Great Machine for People Who Like the Home Cafe Pods
Well, I was foolish and bought a Black & Decker (more appropriately named Black & Wrecker) Home Cafe system since I like Millstone coffee. However, within a month that machine was filling water into the drip tray and spilling all over my counter top, making an extremely loud noise every time I used it, not to mention that it finally disintegrated into barely filling my cup with coffee! It was a true nightmare!

Perc coffee the best
Coffee from a percolator has more flavor than paper filter makers, plus you don't have to buy filters.This model is easy to use and maintain.I really like the strong handle on the lid, very well made.

Honeymoon is over
After just 4 months of minimal use (Monday mornings only), our attractive Hamilton Beach 12 cup suddenly quit.I should have listened.It produces only weak, warm clear coffee as of yesterday.

Disappointing
The convenience tempted me to try this for $20 at my local grocery. Poorly executed & constructed, the pods were too expensive & bland. Will be donating this to charity.

Worked for a Year
I used this appliance on the weekends for the first 6 months. After that, I began using it for 2 cups a day, seven days a week. It's been a year and the pod holder and casing around the pod holder have completely cracked. It costs $16 (w/shipping) to order the replacement part. My recommendation is to put your money into something that will last longer.

You get what you pay for.
On average, we go through one of these units per year.But, you only pay in the $30-$40 range for this piece of equipment, so you can't really expect it to last forever.If you want durable construction (read:not plastic) then you must purchase a more expensive unit.If you want REAL cappuccino, you have to spring for the $2000 cappucino maker.

Many products are touted for their uniqueness, or how they're revolutionizing this or that, but few live up the hype. Bodum's Santos coffeemaker is different, as it really is unlike other coffeemakers on the market. First off, it uses an electric vacuum brewing process, and secondly it lets you watch the whole thing. Fill the jug with cold filtered water, and place it on the power base. Then twist the funnel onto the jug. Next, add fresh coffee (a handy scoop is included) to the funnel and press the start button. As the water heats up to boiling, the vacuum created between the two parts moves water up the funnel, where the hot water and coffee mix together. Once the correct brewing time has elapsed, the heat turns off and the coffee drains back into the carafe through a nylon filter (nylon doesn't affect the taste of the coffee like paper filters).Read more

Uses Twice as Much Coffee as a French Press
See other reviews for a description of overall performance and cleaning. Cool design, but overpriced and requires the use of nearly twice as much coffee to arrive at a similar strength to that typical of a french press. I only used this coffee maker 3 times, and reverted to the press.

A little extra effort, but well worth it.
I have to start by saying I got a great deal on this machine.I already wanted one and the Bodum store in Dallas was closing so I got it for 50% off along with a grinder and other Bodum goodies..I have to agree with other reviewers issues with cleaning. It is a bit of a pain but I've found that a bottle cleaner with just a sponge tip--NO SCRUBBER-IT SCRATCHES--works just fine.I put the funnel in the dishwasher about once a month.I've found that the grounds will dry faster and be easier to clean out of the funnel when the coffee isn't piled on the filter before brewing.
