Cheap and good, looks great
No need to spend a lot on a shaker; this one is stylish and beautifully functional.
Nice shaker for one or two people
I purchased this shaker a couple of years ago and have given it a lot of use. First let me say that this is a very good shaker and performs very well. I read some of the other reviews and I have not encountered any problems with the lid sticking or the shaker leaking. It performs as advertised and is a good value for the money. The only drawback might be if you want to make cocktails for more than two people at a time. It's a bit small for that IMO but if you are mixing for one or two folks at a time, it's the perfect size. Another plus is that after many washings (by hand only), the finish has held up like it was brand new. Along with performance and functionality, it is a durable product as well.

The incredible shrinking shaker!
Bought this as a gift for a friend.Am buying a different one as a gift for the same friend.There is a basic design flaw as most materials shrink when exposed to cold temperatures.The lid fits INTO the base of the shaker.Fill it with ice and cold gin and the base shrinks.Thus the lid is STUCK.You have to wait for the ice to melt and the base to warm up in order to pull off the top.That seriously cuts into the number of martinis one can consume in an evening.Not worth the under twenty bucks price. ... Shake shake shake :)
This shaker was a little more than i intended to spend.But i am so glad i did.. It makes great martinis and cosmos etc. No leaking and very convenient since the shaker is built in. You can't go wrong with this item
A Good Sturdy Cocktail Shaker
The WMF cocktail shaker is sturdy with a built-in strainer. It doesn't come apart even with vigorous shaking. The WMF is way better functionally than other shakers I've used and also looks sleek and attractive. Highly recommended.

Passed the Bar Exam
Excellent addition to any bar or kitchen to use for drinks that need to be shaken to be mixed properly.Easy to use, doesn't leak.Purchased based on suggestion by Alton Brown, The Food Channel.Be sure to get a julep strainer along with it (or use a Hawthorne strainer as an alternate).

A Bar Favourite!
Tired of those metal cocktail shakers where the top refuses to open when you go to clean it?The vacuum that occurs with the metal variety has happened to us on every model we've tried.The Boston Cocktail Shaker does not have this problem.We had no difficulty whatsoever with a tight seal on the first try and have had no leakage problems.The only drawback (very minor) is that the measurement lines do not go all the way to the bottom of the glass.So if you're measuring out small quantities of liquor, you still need to use a jigger.Other than that, it is very easy to use and clean.Top rating for this bar helper!

Great cocktail shaker
I have purchased several cocktail shakers over the years and have always had problems.With the typical stainless steel ($20+) one the lid always got stuck and sometimes I'd have to wait more than 24 hours to again try to get the lid off.I also bought a plastic ($30+) one which worked very well but the plastic lid ended up cracking within one year.

* The insulation is a nice feature.It keeps the drink cold and slows the melting of the ice.
It leaks!!!!
The reason you should not buy this shaker is because it doesn't do what it should (keep a tight seal).

Cover doesn't fit properly
This is just the right size for one martini but the cover doesn't fit properly.You have to really push it down firmly or else it comes right off when shaking, but then it is hard to remove.

NIce But Deadly!
We opened these little bundles of joy early for a Christmas party. My 62 year old room mate was delighted with the thought of having her own cocktail shaker....and a pretty one too! Moments later the joy was shattered (which it often is) by the slicing of flesh and an ensuing bloodbath followed. Laughing hysterically at this funny but painful folly, i decided to put the top on her cocktail shaker myself. To my utter amazement and sheer surprise i too sliced my finger open! thank goodness our trusty manservant was on hand to administer bandages and comforting words! So let this be a warning to you. This shaker is a piece of garbage.For starters, the shipper sends it to you in the retail box with no padding.If that doesn't ensure that the shaker will be bent when it gets to you, you'll wish that it was, because the shaker is worthless.The 'stainless' steel is rusting after only 2 months, and the shaker top is infuriatingly impossible to remove, because it sits inside the 24 oz. resevoir.I'm getting the high-rated Ultimo 24-ouncer and sending this one to the Chinese junk heap where it belongs.Better yet, back to the seller for a refund on the 'lifetime warranty'. ... Ok...so this isnt a review,but a question I have on this product. Where is the instruction manual to this thing? What do the lines above the alcohol names mean. There are two, three, even four lines above some of the alcohol names. Does it mean the amount of alcohol that is supposed to be put into that particular drink. Please answer...for it has left many of us flustered. thank you very much

I've given up
Despite this being a wedding gift from my brother, I've given up on it.It has become nearly impossible to open!Several people have spilled drinks trying to pry it open.I like it, but it simply doesn't work, and it makes you look like a fool when guests are waiting for their drinks.
