Leaks with cheesecakes
My issue with this pan was that it leaks. Instead of my cheesecake batter remaining in the pan, it ended up on all over my counter. I have never had any trouble when creating this cheesecake using my Ekco springform pan but I wanted a taller cheesecake. I should have known "if it's not broke don't fix it." Lesson learned.

I love these things!
These pans are great for making any type of cake or baked goods, but they are a must for cheesecakes, in my opinion.I received the shipment very fast, and promptly used it to make two cheesecakes that night!
Suitable For Baking in a Water Bath?
Genarally a good, durable cake pan, and works well, if the cheesecake recipe calls for a crust, and the usual oven baking.Water leaks in though when the empty pan is placed in a water bath, which a particular cheese cake recipe (no crust) required.Perhaps water might not have leaked in if the pan were already filled with the thicker batter, but I did not want to risk it, and so simply used another cake pan. ... When I ordered this item it did NOT list that it had a removeable center peice. I was looking for a solid one peice to bake pound cakes in. The 2 peice does leak a bit, but is DOES NOT stick. Smart, Practical Design
I bought this springform pan based on the recommendation of several trusted sources, including Cook's Illustrated magazine. (They actually tested the model with handles--had that one been available I probably would have spent the extra money for it, but as it is I haven't found any significant inconvenience to the lack of handles with this model). Good idea, poor quality
I think the glass bottom is a great idea, but the first time I used it, the caramel sauce I poured in quickly leaked through onto the countertop.I thought I had not put the bottom in evenly, but on closer inspection I found that the ring does not close tightly around the glass bottom; it is not even snug.This may be a manufacturing flaw in the pan I bought, since others have not reported the problem.

Super Bakewear!
I've made cornbread in it & my only "suggestion" is to be careful your food just doesn't slip right out of the pan after taking it out of the oven! Although flexible, the batter was nicely contained on it's way into the oven...I didn't need to put a cookie sheet under it for support. Incredible Presentation!
I have been wanting one of these pans ever since I saw them in the store.My husband surprised me with one for Christmas and it is great!I used a tasty pound cake recipe and it turned out perfectly.I was nervous about releasing it from the pan after baking, but it came out so easily.I did spray the pan and put flour on it before baking.Since it came out without any effort, I think I might actually eliminate the flour next time so it looks even prettier.I plan on buying more of these for gifts and I also would love to add more to my new found collection!These pans are fantastic!

Sunny and beautiful!
I saw the lovely design of the pan and I HAD to buy it. I love to bake and I like to present my creations as well as possible, this pan makes this task a breeze. If you just use a plain recipe it will look awesome when it comes out of this pan, every detail comes out perfect, it is almost too beautiful to cut (that is actually what happened with the first cake: mum didn't dare cut it). It is really sturdy and made to last a lifetime, so I guess it is worth its price, even if I wish the Nordic Ware pans could be cheaper, so that I could buy the entire collection!

Makes Cheesecake a Breeze
Many people see cheesecake-baking as a frightening art second only to souffle-baking in its mysteriousness and perils. However, with the right pan it's incredibly easy. For me, the Kaiser La Forme springform pan is that pan.
The Best Thing That Ever Happened to Cheesecakes!
If you are tired of leaky springform pans or flimsy ones that warp the first time you bake in them and rust almost immediately, this Kaiser pan is made for you. I cannot say enough good things about it, from its weight-- it's quite sturdy-- to the little lip that runs around the outside bottom of the pan that prevents leakage. Such a totally practical device! And this pan is very easy to clean, unlike some of the others with those grid-like bottoms. It is not inexpensive, but then you get what you pay for. One of the nicest things to happen to cheesecake baking since the advent of the food processor.
