Chicago Metallic Commericial bakeware is excellent. These 8-inch round cake pans are very heavyweight and give even baking results. I rub a bit of vegetable shortening on these pans and then line the bottom with a circle of waxed paper. One can dust some flour over the shortening, too. For an 8-inch layer cake, I like to divide the cake batter between three 8-inch round cake pans. Make sure they are staggered on the oven racks for the best baking results. ... Read more

for years of baking enjoyment
This is a superb product, and the only springform that I have ever bought that lasted this long. I bake a lot, and I have had this for more than five years now - never leaked or deformed. This is a heavy-duty product and the cake carrier is extremely useful as well. A minor complaint is the fact that the plastic dome of the cake carrier does eventually crack, especially if not cleaned very carefully. It would be great if that were available as a replacement accessory. The spring mechanism to put the carrier in place is great and fool-proof and has never let me down in years!

Improvements
Having used German spring forms for more than half a century I would not hesitate to purchase this model. The buckle on mine has never given trouble provided it is cleansed after each baking. The fit of the spring side to the bottom on this stainless steel model should be far more reliable than on my unit which is made of aluminum which is apt to be deformed allowing minor leaks of batter. I would recommend that a plastic insert be included with this product so that the stainless steel base can be protected from being scored when the cake or tart is cut prior to serving. The plastic would be placed between the base and the baked product after it has cooled. Another enhancement that the manufacturer could add would be a cone that could be attached to the base so as to convert the form of the cake from cylindrical to BUNDT form. ... Read more

Silicone bakeware is hard to believe; for many, it takes an act of faith to use it for the first time. But after that, it's hard to remember using anything else. This KitchenAid heart-shaped cake pan is for baking festive heart layers for Valentine's Day, anniversaries, or other occasions when a romantic dessert might be appreciated. Great for individual cheesecake gifts
I bought these to give gourmet baked cheesecake gifts for couples or individuals, where a full size would be too much.. These are the most fabulous little pans ever.. I baking cheesecakes using the water bath method.. I still wrap the bottom in foil, a little water bubbled in to the foil but they did not leak water into the cheesecake. My full size doesn't seal as tightly as these. It sometimes leaks even though I wrap in foil, which can cause the crust to become soggy... These little pan are also good for the left over batter when making a full size.

Don't bother
My hinges also rusted on the first washing.They look awful.It was a waste of money and time b/c now I have to find a better set.

Not what I expected of Kaiser
I looked forward to receiving these, since Kaiser's such an established name in bakeware. The hinges rusted on the first washing! Otherwise, they are more flimsy than I thought they would be. More like "formless blob" bundt pan
I bought this in a store, basing my purchase on the picture on the label.The cake on the packaging wasn't baked in this pan -it was baked in the more expensive cast aluminum pan.I find this dishonest, and it was definitely a waste of money.

I used my new Kitchenaid 9" round cake pans today and they work great!!I lightly sprayed them with Pam cooking spray that contained flour.They bake beautifully without any attempt to stick.I placed the silicone pans directly on the oven cooking rack without the use of a baking sheet.They sat perfectly level on the oven rack.Taking them out of the oven is a breeze.The cake pans cool quickly and were easy to handle.They have a wide brim that allows you to hold the pans securely.I love these pans!I have ordered the Heart shaped and Square pans.Get these pans while they are cheap in price.You can not go wrong.Use Pam spray and your cakes will pop out like mine without any trouble.Also, these pans will interlock inside one another for easy storage. ... Loaf Cheesecake!
What a great innovation from Kaiser. I have had the regular Kaiser springform pans for years, but this allows you to slice evenly and serve beautiful slices of cheesecake. I even bake breads and cinnamon bunns in this pan.
