Form over Function
Yes, I love these wine glasses for their look and their feel and their aesthetics, but all that is for naught because yes, they break way too easily. Just said goodbye to my last one out of four. I already knew they were delicate when I bought them and so I took extra care handwashing them, yet I still lost two to washing. The other two broke when barely bumped against another glass. At their low price, I'm still tempted to buy more, but I cannot. It's just bad design and I don't want to reward bad design. Read the reviews. We are not clumsy people, lol. Yours will break too.

So fragile all my sets are broken after 2 month.
I got a set of 8 a few months ago. First one package arrived with a broken one, then all of them ended up broken. They break if you fill them with water and try to take them by the side. they break if you set them a little too fast on the table. One of them broke by just holding it. Such poor quality I am extremely disapointed. But I loved the design though.

beautiful but breakable
these are really beautiful glasses, and incredibly light.we have no dishwashwer, though, and i broke one the first time i washed it (putting the dishsponge down inside) - and i was being careful.these are really, really delicate.my husband broke one the next day.we also got the white wine version of these glasses, and one was broken upon arrival - still wrapped in its bubble wrap.i have no idea why bodum decided to make these of such incredibly thin glass.they're really beautiful, and we love using them, but it's ridiculous to have to be this careful with them - i mean, we have other wine glasses that i used to think were delicate, but these bodum ones take the cake.we also bought the double-walled bodum glasses, and those are beautiful and much sturdier (although they're not for wine.....) ... Don't go by the picture
The picture looked like my old one, but the description was different and I didn't catch the differences.These jars come with "clover" lids and square lids.The jars are different and lids not interchangable.Square jars are not flaired out at the top such as the picture represents.A more updated picture should be used. ... Fantastic at everything
Just have to add my kudos to all the others.This device does just about everything better, quicker, & more efficiently than either my Cuisinart food processor or my big KitchenAid table mixer. I can puree HUGE batches of soup in 1-2 minutes right in the pot.The blender is easy to hold.I hardly even need to move it around in the pot to get the soup blended to perfection.I can chop veggies or nuts, or process sauces, pastes, marinades, & 'thick' salad dressings instantly in the easy-to-use attachment.I thought the whisk would be the weak point of this set.It looked thin and flimsy.But I discovered it whips both egg whites and whipping cream faster AND BETTER than my big mixer.It's a big bonus that it is so small, light, and easy to clean.Within a week or two of getting this for myself I bought one for a friend.I now keep my food processor around ONLY for chopping large quantities of veggies and for the shredding jobs.I keep the table mixer ONLY for kneading bread.

Excellent for small portions
I was looking to replace my ancient and cheap food processor with a smaller and more leak-proof design and picked this hand mixer up at Costco. Given that it's a relatively cheap blender, I had relatively realistic expectations that it more than lived up to.

What people don't think about is how hot chocolate works just as well as coffee in a coffee mug.I'm not a coffee drinker but if this mug brings you great coffee joy you should also pour hot chocolate in it.I have to take a point off because after you pour coffee in this mug enough times a permanent smell is left there, which means using this cup for anything other than coffee or hot chocolate is gross.Especially water.Who wants to take a sip of water only to smell coffee every time you put the mug to your face?Not me.Not that the smell of coffee is horrible or anything.It smells good and I can't imagine not smelling it every morning when other people in my home are making some.
The BEST mug in the world, you will fall in love with it!
It's amazing how much I love this mug.I know it's just a mug, but every time I use it I am surprised at how good it feels in my hands and on my mouth each time I take a sip.It feels as though a lot of thought, engineering and careful crafting went into this mug.It feels like a work of art in my hands.I love it so much, I've been drinking way more tea than normal, just so I can experience it again.I originally just bought one these mugs by chance, just to qualify for super saver shipping while buying a tea brewer, but I've since ordered three more.Amazon offers it in "mystic" a gray-purple color as well, which I got two of, but they haven't come yet in the mail so I can't tell you much about them.If the price makes you even slightly reluctant, ignore that feeling; this is by far the most luxurious mug I've ever had the pleasure of drinking out of, and I look forward to having more to serve guests with.If you are even thinking about buying this mug, buy four instead because, as crazy as it sounds, you will want one in your hands as often as possible, and you will want to share the experience with others.I know this review sounds incredibly over enthusiastic, but if you buy this mug, you'll soon understand.I'm currently contemplating buying place settings for four just to get these mugs in red because they don't appear to be sold on their own, plus, if the mugs are this great, the plates and bowls much be spectacular as well. ... Easy break
In four years or so, 6 reds and 6 whites are reduced to 2 reds and 1 white. The bottom line is that we don't have servants to wash our wine glasses, so they break. Tip one over...so long; stick hand too far down the glass when washing...possibly a trip to the ER; tap the rim with a plate...down goes another. As far as the rest of my dishes, including all plates and drinking glasses that I own, nothing has broken in the same time. The smart solution would be to be more careful and buy one of those sponge-on-a-stick things, but I hate those.
Great value for great product.
I'm extremely pleased with the Spiegelau glass collection--Amazon prices make it an even better buy.Elegant, but not over-styled, make these glases a great addition to any table.Thus far, no negatives.I'm not the most gentle of folks, and thus far these have proved very durable.

Excellent value
The Spiegelaus don't confer the cachet or bragging rights of Riedel stemware, but they are excelllent glasses nonetheless. I discovered them through the sommelier at Babbo, Mario Batali's flagship restaurant. The restaurant purchases Spiegelau because they are wonderful glasses, are reasonably priced and are sturdy enough to stand up to restaurant use.

appears small but isn't
I'm very happy with this purchase.It does appear small, but easily holds a 750 ml bottle with room to spare. Looks nice on the table.Good price and quality relative to what else is available at Amazon or other stores like Crate & Barrel.

Great for wine and other uses
Yes, it is made to be a decanter for half bottles, but yes it does easily hold a full bottle.What I use this decanter for is to have a nice presentation of the wine at dinner.So, I decant it then pour 2 to 4 glasses, and the rest of the wine sits in the decanter on the table until it is consummed.If you use it in the same manner, you do not have to worry about the size (but again, it fits an entire bottle so do not fret about size unless you need maximum air contact).I also bought a second one and use it as a water pitcher to have at the table, and guests love it.

Small decanter -- definitely not designed for full bottles.
This is a lovely decanter -- but it was never meant for serving a full bottle. I use it to serve not-so-leftover wines (the Vacu-vin is great) or when one person wants red and another wants white. Works Great for Outdoor dining or Cooling Red
We live in a warm climate, and this cooler is perfect for keeping pre-chilled whites nice and cool all through dinner when we dine outside. Since our "room temperature" is about 78, it is also perfect for bringing reds down to the 72 they are supposed to be before drinking. Another reviewer complained it didn't work on a second bottle of wine, but since this product works by dropping a frozen vacu-vin chill sleeve into the cooler then screwing the bottom back on, it is also easy to buy more vacu-vin chill sleeves for 9.99 to swap out for the second bottle of wine. No, it won't bring a warm bottle of white to a chill, but for some purposes, this cooler is perfect. (A vacu-vin chill sleeve works just as well, but doesn't look as nice on the dinner table, and it gets a lot of condensation drips, too.)

has no insulation
I was disappointed in this item because it has no insulation.For me the greater need is to keep a bottle cool thruout the meal. This will do that OK, but then don't expect it to cool down that second bottle you had not planned on drinking.I'm planning to keep my eye out for one of those foam covers people use on beer bottles, but in a size big enough for wine bottles. ... We use this in our coffee house for mixing drinks & crushing ice.It does an excellent job for us.

LOUD but FANTASTIC!
I primarily make smoothies with this blender, which can be a problem for many other blenders, but not for this one!It crushes ice and blends like a dream.My only complaint is that it is really loud.I had a Kitchenaid 5 speed blender before this one and it was MUCH quiter.I also sampled the Viking blender in a store once and it was also pretty loud.But aside from the sound factor, this blender is easy to use and works just as well as your top dollar blenders, if not better.

saved many a bottle of red
After trying vacuum pump / seals, I found this to clearly beat them.Generally keeps our reds for a week, when otherwise I would taste a vinegar taste after a day.
works well, but NOT 120+ uses as touted
i love this product - it's easy to use and has saved a lot of bottles.BUT it doesn't seem to last 120+ uses as stated on the cannister.towards the end, i lost some wine - it's hard to gauge when the cannister isn't giving off enough gas to adequately protect the wine from oxidation.but, until i can find a better replacement, it sure beats using the manual vacuum-creator/pump.

Out of Gas
I've used gas wine preservers for many years with good results. In my opinion, it's the best way to preserve an opened bottle of wine.Private Reserve is a good product except that the last can I bought had only 22 two second bursts in it. They advertise 120 uses and 600 seperate sprays. I don't know if someone tampered with only this bottle or whether it's the norm but beware that you may run out of the gas sooner than later. ... Bought for Blade & O Ring
I bought this Blend in go cup to get the blade & the O ring for my blender in my kitchen because I did not find those in any of the store near my home. (Wal Mart, Target etc...).

Great for diet shakes
I bought two Blend-N-Go cups so my husband and I could make smoothies, and they worked great the one time we did it.Then we gave up real food and went on a liquid diet, where you mix flavored powder with water.The Blend-N-Go Cup is terrific for this.We blend the powder with water and a few ice cubes, and it makes the drink thick and frothy like a milkshake, which tastes much better.Also, there are different shake formulas for men and women, so I can't just make up one batch for both of us.The Blend-N-Go makes it quick and easy to make two different drinks at once (but only if you buy two of them).

Good low end but check out new Vivants
I got a bunch of Overtures when Amazon was discounting them heavily but never did like the stumpy proportions. Now Riedel has apparently come out with a new low end line, Vivant, that it is selling through Target which is available through Amazon web site. For about the same price, it appears that you get a somewhat better glass.

Big glasses for big reds
Really big red wines deserve a really big glass.The Reidel Magnum has just the right capacity and design to let that big red open up to full potential. After many sips, you can even get tacky, lick your finger, swirl the rim, and let the lead-free crystal sing.

Riedel is the best in fine glassware.
I've been using Riedel for years.(Pronounced "REEdul") Their best line is handblown Austrian crystal and is called the "Sommelier" series.VERY expensive, but peerless in quality and beauty.The next line down is also very fine and is called the "Vinum" series.My white wine glasses are from this series.My red wine glasses are from the "Overture" series -- the Magnum glasses.These are just the right size -- the Vinum can get quite large.I also prefer a shorter stem, which these have.I thought the Overture regular reds were a little too small for my taste (and smell!).

Broke after second use. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
My first use of this product I was impressed. The second was a different story. It short circuited and tripped the breaker to the kitchen. A second attempt caused the same results instantly. It wasn't even in use at the time but still caused the breaker to flip and the device to become extremely hot. Faulty manufactoring and a product so sub-par that not only does it not work, it's most likely and electrical and safety hazard. Review: not only is it useless, it's basically dangerous.

hurts your finger while you push the button
I do not know what those guys were thinking, but did you notice a bump right in the meedle of the push button? Yes, there is a bump, and it is quite pointy and sharp. Now imagine pushing this button for any time, and you have to really push it hard for this blender to work, and push it for quite long, because the blender is weak, and you will really need a lot of time to get results. And all this time this pointy bump cuts into your finger! it is torture! I got this blender as a gift, or I would send it back. Also, you cannot remove the moving part to wash it, so you have to balance the whole thing while washing, so it will not fall in the water and be ruined.
