Great Glasses
I love the fact that these glasses can go in the dishwasher.. they are not nearly as susceptible to breakage as the Riedel glasses with stems. I have also experienced first hand the difference it makes to drink a varietal out of the correct glass...otherwise I wouldn't believe it really matters. Nice shaker for one or two people
I purchased this shaker a couple of years ago and have given it a lot of use. First let me say that this is a very good shaker and performs very well. I read some of the other reviews and I have not encountered any problems with the lid sticking or the shaker leaking. It performs as advertised and is a good value for the money. The only drawback might be if you want to make cocktails for more than two people at a time. It's a bit small for that IMO but if you are mixing for one or two folks at a time, it's the perfect size. Another plus is that after many washings (by hand only), the finish has held up like it was brand new. Along with performance and functionality, it is a durable product as well.

The incredible shrinking shaker!
Bought this as a gift for a friend.Am buying a different one as a gift for the same friend.There is a basic design flaw as most materials shrink when exposed to cold temperatures.The lid fits INTO the base of the shaker.Fill it with ice and cold gin and the base shrinks.Thus the lid is STUCK.You have to wait for the ice to melt and the base to warm up in order to pull off the top.That seriously cuts into the number of martinis one can consume in an evening.Not worth the under twenty bucks price. ... Just bought my 2nd one
I was wandering around Walmart again thinking about replacing a stick blender I had worn out several months ago when I stumbled across this teeny, tiny blender thing.I have been using it at least once a day, everyday to mix powdered diets drinks with ice.I broke the cap trying to smash big ice cubes through the space on top but I continued to use it with the travel lid.Finally, one of the blades broke and I couldn't live without it, so i broke down and got another one.I discovered it was cheaper to purchase a new one rather than buy replacement parts.So, happily I am on my second Single-Serve Blender and I am considering buying yet another one to use in my office.Also, I remember seeing them in red around the holidays last year.

This stick blender is awesome
This stick blender is AWESOME.I use it for everything.I puree soups right in the pot without the mess of transferring to a food processor.We make smoothies in the large cup that comes with it, which fits the stick blender perfectly.And even though I wasn't really interested in having it, I use the included blender-looking attachment all the time.In fact, the 400 watt motor makes it a lot more powerful than our "real" blender. It makes mincemeat of ice and frozen berries.All parts except the motor are diswasher safe, which is great for cleanup.The other thing I love is the "turbo" mode - it's just so powerful, it zips through everything.

The most useful thing
I bought my Vacu Vin set about 4 years ago and it's still working perfectly.It's so easy to use and it does preserve the wine flavor for at least a few days.We no longer have to finish a whole bottle in one sitting or risk a spoiled wine.I've recommended it to a few of my friends and they all say they can't live without it now.

The blender of blenders
When I first used this blender, I thought it was more or less like any other blender until I ran out of powdered sugar.I was in the middle of cooking and realized I did not have any powdered sugar, but had regular sugar.I poured in the amount I needed and it ground it to a fine powder! I was truly amazed.When I tasted it, it did not taste like the powdered sugars I had been using.I then realized that in commercial powdered sugar corn starch is added and this was the difference in taste.I also used it to grind coffee beans just to see if it could handle the job and suprisingly enough it did!From then on I was sold!

Mixed Opinions.
I had read good review regarding this blender on Amazon, hence the purchase. After using it a few times, I have mixed opinions. The blender looks good, the cord coiling under the machine is convenient to store. It does well with large quantities of stuff to be ground. But, if you have small quantities, the blades don't work so well. They are too high to get stuff under the blades. So for small powdering jobs or grinding small quantities of coconut (for example), it takes a while and is not perfectly satisfactory. If you want to smooties, it works great. It needs better designed blades. My old one probably had better blades, sadly the jar leaked and needed replacing.

Love it!
I needed a new blender and the price of this one was very good. Thought the little food processor might be nice to have too. Turns out I've used the processor nearly every day since I got it! I make fresh pesto, grate cheese, shred onions, good thing it's so easy to clean. The blender works great too, I like the ice crushing feature/setting to make summer drinks. I had a little trouble putting the processor together the first time, the instructions weren't very helpful and I didn't want to break anything by forcing it together. Found out it does take some firm pressure to seat it on the base. But after that first frustrating ten minutes I couldn't be happier with it!

Gotta Agree with the Others

Disintegrates if used for ice drink
I'm not sure what's going on here, cuz half these reviews seem to say it works great.I decided to make a daquiri using the simple recipe of a Bacardi mixer, rum and ice.I've done this in an el cheapo Osterizer by pre-crushing the ice with an ice crusher.The selling point for this was that I could just put in the ice cubes and skip the extra step.

Bad design/cheap materials
We're a small restaurant (16 seats), serving dinner 4 nights a week, and we use the blender for soups, Caesar dressing, etc., once or twice a week, but never use ice in it or anything like that. We've had two of this same model now, and had the same problem with both of them. The black collar, the part of the base where you set the container, is plastic, and on both blenders has broken. The first time it lasted almost a year, and we figured that wasn't too bad -- especially when you compare the cost to a true commercial/professional blender, which are $300+. Also, we really like the blender in terms of function, so we picked up another one. This time, the exact same thing happene, except that the collar cracked within 2 weeks!!

great for iced tea
i make iced tea every morning by pouring boiling water into a glass pitcher. i broke many pitchers before finding this one. i've had one for over 10 years and two newer ones. they are a great product!

Nice, but the lids are hard to seal
I just bought one of these 64 oz. pitchers, and two of the 32 oz. pitchers. The pitchers are nice quality, heavy, and good-looking. The lids, however, leave something to be desired. You seal them by holding on to the side of the lid, while you turn the top at the same time. It's a hassle to do, and you have to turn it very hard to get a good strong seal. ... Read more
