I have tried both metal and glass loaf pans.I always return to the pyrex.It cleans up perfectly, doesn't scratch or dent, can go in the dishwasher.I have used pyrex for years.Metal products have been discarded; pyrex is still in the cupboard!

After getting rid of a disastrous Bundt Pan which came as a gift, I went with what America's Test Kitchen suggested - The NordicWare Platinum Series Cast Aluminium 12-cup Bundt Pan. pretty but not fun
This sifter looks great but has a strange requirement.You have to shake the sifter back and forth for it to sift the flour instead of the normal (at least as far as I'm used to) trigger action found on most sifters.This works but is a little bit laborious and messy.It comes with plastic lids for both ends of the sifter which seem superfluous.It could do without the lids and with a lower price.

I don't know why people are saying this product works slowly?I find that you can dispense a cup of flour in about 10 seconds.Maybe they can design this sifter so that the covers can use a hinge to open and close, so the covers stay with the unit, but other than that, it does its job.

NOT WORTH IT!
I bought this sifter and washed before I used it. The bottom strainer part came undone, so I pushed it back into place, except it wouldn't go back in the right spot, so everytime I shook it side to side, it wouldn't sift, because the metal piece that slides back and forth to sift wasn't touching the bottom strainer part anymore. That's what we got it for- and it works great.
Not bad
I've always been told cast iron is best. Muffins came out fine but with a slight taste of "cast iron". Maybe there is remedy for that. This a great treat for the little ones.

Here's the secret -
They RUST like a son of a gun!If you have the misfortune to purchase this pan you will need to hand wash and dry it to slow down the rust process.Mine began to show rust after the very first use.After 3 uses it had rust in several of the cups and was too nasty to use.I'm back on amazon to buy some decent Chicago Metallic pans.I'm done buying these disposable cheapies.

Inexpensive, medium weight and truly non-stick.....
I tried my hand at berry muffins the other day.My main error was that I used paper muffin cups.The muffins tore when trying to remove the paper cups.The pan cleaned up with no scrubbing despite the appearance of having burned on berries/juice.Needless -to-say, I will not be using the paper cups again.They are totally unnecessary.

Absolutely Adorable Ramekins
I can't wait to find more recipes for these terrific ramekins!I was a little concerned at first that the may be too small; but, after trying the Molten Chocolate Cakes recipe, I am looking forward to using them again and again.If you are a chocolate lover, definitely try Mary Davis' recipe...they baked up beautifully; and, they had a perfect gooey center.The make-ahead feature is a winner.Easy to handle and to clean.I adore Le Creuset!!

Great ramekins
I have not been disappointed with Le Creuset yet. Use these over and over, in the oven or under the broiler for Creme Brulee - they always look new. Great!!!

Not the 8 ounce size in the description
These hold a little more than half a cup when filled to the brim.I can only guess the description statement that says they can hold 8 ounces when filled to the brim can only be refering to the 7 oz size.These are perfect for the standard 1/2 cup Creme Brulee, and they are taller, so that water won't splash in when you set them in a pan of water in your oven to bake.They are easy to clean, and the bottom stays cool when you torch the sugar on the top.They are easy to clean and come in 3 or 4 colors (Flame is not always listed, but I have the Red, Blue & Green versions).It works well for freezing sorbet as well, and for baking coddled eggs.I am very pleased with these versitile ramekins ... This product did not even approach what was described.A bagutte pan needs to have a decent-sized curvature so a bagutte shape will be obtained.This pan would have produced a fairly flat loaf.

Comme ci, comme ca.
I owned another perforated pan from Chicago but it was bought years ago;the construction of the older model is of heavy aluminum and very sturdy. Since I was so happy with my previous purchase, I bought this one thinking it was of the same quality. Needless to say, I was disappointed. The construction of the nonstick version is flimsy compare to the older one, and its length was an inch shorter. I don't know why they added the nonstick feature. Dough sticking to the pan has never been a problem with the other one.
Hundreds of Loaves Later, and Still convinced this is the Best

This food coloring was the best I have ever used.It is very concentrated. I obtained several different shades of purple by adding just a tiny bit each time.I did not notice a flavor at all so I look forward to trying the black.The bottle sizes are very similar to a bottle of finger nail polish.

Excellent Quality - Would Purchase Again!
Contrary to the other reviews regarding the lids not fitting, I have had NO problem with my lids. The lids fit great, tight, and the way they are supposed to. You SHOULD NOT put the lids in the dishwasher though. (As with any lid) Bowl quality is excellent and non skid bottoms are excellent as well. It doesn't appear that they will come off...Sizes are PERFECT! Highly recommeded product for the money! I would DEFINITELY purchase these as a gift for someone! The inside is like a brushed steel look - awesome!

GREAT BOWLS, AWFUL LIDS
Like the last reviewer said, these lids don't fit--at all! The largest bowl now has no lid for it because it kept popping off and in trying to force it to stay on, it ripped about an inch right through the curved sealed area and into the center. I bought these bowls for four reasons: 1. They're food grade stainless steel; 2. They have non-skid silicone bottoms (works great, too); 3. They came with lids for storage; 4. Ease of portability to family gatherings, picnics, etc.
misfit lids
I picked these out for my birthday and hubby purchased them for me. The lids do not fit well. So poorly, in fact, that the lids just come off by picking up the bowls and moving them. I filled one bowl with water, put the lid on, and held the lid on with both hands. I turned it upside down over the sink and the water just poured out, even with me trying to hold the lid on. This baby delivers as promised
I have baked cinnamon rolls, pizza, and cookies, including macaroons on this mat and NOTHING sticks! The reverse side is designed for kneading dough. Again, no sticking! I am happy with the product, but have recently discovered plain parchment paper seems to work just as well(not for kneading dough though). I haven't had time to compare, but parchment seems to be the cheaper lo-tech way to achieve the same goal and can be torn to match the size of different baking sheets. Something to think about, eh?

Let me say first that you will not throw out your baking trays because of this little gem. It makes your cleanup simple, lifting baked items simple and storage simple.

I bought a bunch of LeCreuset and these came as a gift. I suppose you use these for a fancy dessert, I don't know. What I do know is these are very well made and I am going to make jell-o and pudding in them and invite Bill Cosby over.

A fine roasting pan.
Roasting meats has until very recently been by-and-large out of my scope of regular cooking-- I tended towards sauces, soups, stir fries, and so on.Largely stove-top work and if I were to prepare a piece of meat, it was generally in a skillet.For whatever reason, this has been changing recently, and it occured to me that rather than fumbling about with Pyrex dishes as roasting pan substitutes, I needed a real roasting pan.
