Has its endearing qualities, but.....
I can only go to 2 stars for this.Cookies baked on a Silpat spread out too much and turn out too thin and with edges that are hard.I tried several different varieties thinking perhaps it was just the type of dough, but had the same result for all types.For cookie baking, I am sticking with my Airbake sheets.On the positive side, Silpat performed beautifully when I made glazed almonds, which have a very gooey sticky coating that gets baked on.They didn't burn or stick, and the Silpat sheet cleaned up nicely as promised with only warm water.Since I bought this in hopes of baking phenomenal cookies, I don't think the expense was justified.

Good, but this size is small
I have 6 silicone baking mats, and 3 are Silpat. The others are cheaper, 100% silicone that I use for non-baking. Mats like these are a worthy investment, and perform very well in the oven. But if you use standard 1/2 size sheet pans (like I do), you will want the larger size. When I am baking 200-300 cookies, it really helps to have a tray all ready to go while another is cooling and yet another is in the oven. Rack is awkward...
Though the rack is awkward in that the handles are rigid making it difficult to find space to store in my cupboard, the pan and rack cooked efficiently and evenly and cleaned up very easily.I would recommend this product despite the size of the large handles on the rack.

Someone (Calphalon) has finally taken the tedium out of cleaning roasting pans.Even with scrubbing, regular roasters seldom get clean.This one cleans with a soapy sponge.Fabulous!

simple things make a difference
Having the pass-through grip revolutionizes this tool. Seems so obvious and simple a fix in retrospect.

Great little tool
I give it 5 stars for scraping but if I needed the numbers printed on the blade, well, they wore off. I don't know whether I accidentally scrubbed them off or the dishwasher suds were too rough. It doesn't matter to us because we don't use the numbers, but if you do, be a little more gentle cleaning it.

Top of the line
I've had 3 scrapers and I can honestly say this is the BEST of them. I crushes from vegetables to dough so easily. The handle allows a very firm grip. Not heavy or too big. It wonderful and I reccommend it without a doubt.

Heavy duty pans!
I compared the weight of these two pans to a set sold by Costco from Nordicware.The Chicago Metallic set is significantly heavier, which shows its strength. The glue issue that other people are talking about is a non-issue or has been corrected by the manufacturer, since the label peeled off with the glue without any effort.It doesn't look like you can go wrong with these.

Treat yourself to the real thing
After using typical cookie sheets for most of my adult life, I finally got fed up and decided to pay for good ones. What a difference! Can a normal person get pleasure out of a cookie pan? Well, you can if you appreciate quality--especially if you have always done without it before. Anyway--I am ENJOYING these pans. They are hefty--no resounding "pop" after a few minutes in the oven. They fit in my dishwasher--which is a real plus. I expect to enjoy them for many years to come.

Solution to Label Glue

Nice sharp edges, plenty of variation in size.I'd replace them with the same product if I lost them.Dropped a star because the sizes aren't stamped on each cutter.Not that I don't have a ruler, but it would have been more convenient when a recipe calls for a specific diameter to be cut.:)

After two years, still in great shape

Great pie plate!

Disappointed...
I ordered 2 sets of four in case there was any breakage...and guess what...1 ramekin was broken leaving me with 7 dishes.To top it off, a few days later, I found a comparable set, slightly larger, at Big Lots, for only $7 for four.Of course this is always the risk we take through mail order...often it is not worth the time or trouble to get refunds or replacements.

Great for rolling dough and pastry
I prefer this silicon mat over the Silpat as a pastry mat. Not only does it have the nice size guides, it's thinner and sticks down to the counter better. Nice large size for most work, and versatile enough to use in the oven as well. Of course, being silicon, you get the usual non-stick properties that make it so excellent for dough and pastry work.

A "must buy" item
These things are great!I especially love the fact that it sticks (slightly) to my counter top so it is stable while I'm working with my dough, etc.It also cleans up easy and then sticks to my cabinet door over my sink to drain after washing! I can finally dump my old stiff plastic pastry mat that I had to anchor down so that it didn't move all over the place.

If you are an amateur artisan bread baker, you've probably had the same problems I have had with shaping your loaves.They are either too short, too flat, or just plain wrong!I finally decided to order one of these bread pans, just to see if it would make any difference at all.What a pleasant surprise - the French bread was perfectly shaped, the crust was outstanding, and there was absolutely no problem with sticking in the holes.I would definitely recommend this pan to anyone who bakes bread at home.One caveat - be sure to reduce your oven temperature by 25 degrees and cover the loaves with foil after 20 minutes to prevent burning.I'd also watch and not use a wet dough since that might just stick in the holes.

Not just for pie crust!
The other reviewers are quite right that this pin will get your pie dough smooth and round without all the fuss you are accustomed to. Delightful to bring to the table
This beautiful casserole is great for cooking the side veg for dinner and it comes to the table (perhaps with soup) and is very attractive. It also is nice for oatmeal in the morning.

I am a big fan of Le Creuset products in general and own many pieces. I like this pepper, however the biggest pluses are really the aesthetics, and of course the heat distribtion. Doesn't clean well. I have a collection of these.. pumpkin, the red heart, tomato. I couldn't believe it.
I confess to being sceptical of the claims I read in the other reviews, regarding, in particular, how well the non-stick coating works. However, I am pleasantly surprised and agree with all the reviews I read.The pans are solid and heavy..well made. They are easy to handle and I like the sure-grip holders.Mostly, this is the first and only product I have tried with a non-stickcoating that actually works consistantly.I have a tendancy to cook things with marinades and sauces and the liquids coat and burn and have been impossible to clean well with other products and have resulted in the coatings coming off during cleaning.With this product, it is amazing how easy it cleans, even when it appears to have burned and crusted material on the surface of the pan.An easy scrubbing with a sponge(not even the scrubby side) and all comes off like it is sliding off a slick surface.Wonderful.And the price is very reasonable compared to many other expensive products out there.Thank you. A well designed set
I am very impressed with this set. The pans are of heavy guage steel and have rolled edges.I had 3 pounds of chicken on the cookie sheet and with a one handed lift the pan did not flex as my other pans did, again heavy guage steel.The handles and the nonstick surface have had no problems at 450 degrees. Other brands that I have used deteriorate rapidly at 400 degrees or above. Keep in mind I am not a cook and by my very method of cooking (set oven to high and wait til you smell something burning) I am very hard on pans of any kind. NotQuite as Good as it Seems
As an avid cake decorator and baker, I couldn't wait to have this carrier, especially for school events!I love the ability to carry 2 dozen cupcakes but was dissappointed in the design.As the bottom tray is intended to cook in, it has standard-sized baking cups.Therefore, when you place a decorated cupcake in it it sinks down and you have to smudge the frosting to get it out!The top tray is shallow so doesn't do that.I have placed marbles in the lower tray cups to elevate the cupcakes which works.

Perfect sizes for one or two people
I too think these are small but I purchased them specifically because of that :-) The smallest size is perfect for baked polenta dishes or veggie, rice or almost any other side side dish for 1 or two people (I use mine for my husband and I). I highly recommend this set to single people or couples. Your smaller portions won't dry out the way they can in larger baking dishes.
