Pretty neat
I really liked the set of silicone bakeware I received for Christmas. Mine do not leave a funny taste, like some have complained, and they are a snap to clean up. However, it wouldn't fit neatly in small hands, or in the gift box, which also includes a 3-1/4-by-5-3/4-inch loaf pan (for tiny tea cakes and quick breads), and two 4-inch cake pans (for a diminutive layer cake to split with friends). Bakeware for little hands

It is a great non-stick bakeware set. It comes with a Kids Recipe Booklet with four tested, easy-to-make recipes, safety tips and helpful hints. This is a great kit for any child! It would make a wonderful gift for that special little one in your life.

Just adorable and practical as well
This baking set by Chicago Metallic is a must for any junior baker.The pans are beautifully made and are non-stick (helpful for teaching clean up along with baking concepts) and are just perfect for making small items for snacks, tea, etc.(In fact, in our house, the muffin tin has been adopted by the grownup bakers - it's the perfect size for a batch of breakfast muffins).Paired with a set of kid-sized utensils (wooden spoon, spatula, etc) these pans are a great gift to encourage interest in kitchen life. I orderd this item on November 19th.When I discovered December 17th that it would not be delivered by Christmas as I had ordered it as a gift for my niece, I tried to cancel the order.All I received were error messages.After contacting customer service and multiple delays in responses, I found out that the item was being prepared for shipping and could not be canceled.The order still did not get shipped until December 21st and was not delivered until December 30th.Per instruction from customer service, I refused delivery on the item and am still waiting for a refund (3 weeks after I tried to cancel the order).Read more

I am assuming that the person who wrote the review dated January 3, 2004 ("A Kitchen & Housewares enthusiast") was reviewing a different item by Caphalon.She/he mentioned rust, and these pans are aluminum according to the description above.Either Amazon is mistaken about these pans being aluminum (could they be aluminized steel??) OR the reviewer on 1/3/04 posted her review with the wrong item.
great set!
I received this as a wedding present from my registry. I've already baked brownies in the medium sheet and they came out nice. There was no sticky mess or burnt areas. Though a bit expensive for just four pieces, it's a great set! I'm sure it will be a good investment with it's durability in the long run.

Decent set - bad glue
These pans have functioned fairly well.The pans have good weight, but the cookie sheet still warps slightly and "pops" with heat (goes back to normal after cooling).The non-stick coating is slightly above average and will last quite a while provided you do not use metal utensils and dry the bakeware thoroughly immediately after washing.If you allow it to air dry or use in the dishwasher, the water will annodize the metal and cause rusting and flaking of the coating.Overall, a very decent set.

great bake set
I have the larger version of this set which was purchased at BJ's. I love how evenly it bakes, plus nothing has stuck to any of the pans. The only thing that I must do is adjust the baking temperature of any cake or cookie recipe down 25 degrees or else it burns. I think this is due to the fact that these are dark colored pans and absorb more heat.Other than that they are wonderful pans.
