Versatile and good-looking
This is essentially the All-Clad stainless steel 3 quart saucier fitted with 2 short handles.The "dutch oven" sold by All-Clad is a similar configuration of the 5 1/2 quart saucier.

The item I received before this one, which was the LARGE SPOON for the same type of stoneware, Sango Nova Blackwas snet BROKEN!!! But since it only cost $4, it will cost me for than that to send it back, so I guess I am stuck with it. A disappointed customer.

Elegant but reasonably priced
I have been using this corning ware for over 25 years and have had only a few chipped places, but no cracks what so ever!They are great to bake in and if sprayed with vegetable spray, clean up is a breeze.Great in the dishwasher too!

corning ware 10-pc set
Disappointed.Although it cooks/bakes well and is attractive, it is not easy to grasp and hold.It is very difficult to transfer as a hot item from the oven.There are no side grips or handles to hold to support the pieces.It is too clummsy with handling, especially if both the lid and bowl are hot.I would not purchase it again nor give it as a gift.The price was reasonable, and although it was received with a broken bowl, it was replaced without any hassle and to full satisfaction.I am comparing this to a set of corning ware that I have had since 1968, and the old set is the best for my personal use.

Do not buy!
Although it's true, this is a great looking product, I am highly disappointed in the corningware set.I have only used this set occasionally in the past year.However, tonight after 10 minutes in a 375 degree oven, the medium oval dish cracked completely in half - not just cracked, but completely broken in two(dripping the contents all over the bottom of the stove!). Of course, their "warranty" is only good for one year!Give me a break!If you are lucky enough to get a package with all the pieces intact (see the other reviews), the products still can't withstand a normal oven temperature.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!If their products were that good, they would be able to offer a warranty that protects against defects for longer than 1 year! ... gotta get this
I have 6 of these. Why?I used them for making individual pudding desserts, store leftovers that are just countless to name, I put my cereal in it to take to work and add milk to it later. I will put my leftover supper in it to take to work the next day and microwave at lunch. GOTTA TAKE THAT LID OFF BEFORE MICROWAVE. Cover with papertowel. Comes with lids that are airtight and will not leak if tipped over. Pyrex glass is what every home should have.

Great all around!
I have had this pot for a few weeks now, and have used it much more than I thought I would.It has a heavy lid that prevents steam from escaping when baking, so it's difficult to overcook anything in it.Also, I have found that it's great for cooking rice.The enamel coating prevents too much rice from sticking to the sides and bottom.It's also ideal for bringing potluck in because it holds heat really well.

The perfect size and shape for cooking stuffed bell peppers in the oven, without having them fall over.They fit nicely into the curved shape of the baker.And I get a lot of complements on how "cute" my baking dish is!

Fun, Practical and Beautiful all in one!
I have collected all of Le Creuset's fruit and vegetable shaped cast iron enameled casseroles. They are beautiful to display on a table or on a kitchen counter and very practical in cooking great casseroles, soups, stews and other great dishes. The color that they can add to a kitchen brightens every vist there. The exterior and interior enamel coating is very durable and easy to clean. I have cooked a multitude of dishes in these casseroles and have found them to be excellent in heat conduction and preventing "hot spots".

Too heavy, lids don't fit
The first shipment arrived with pieces broken.The lids do not fit.They are much too heavy.

Red color is a dingy grey/red
I ordered this for my wife to go with some other red cookware she owns. The set arrived intact, although oddly packaged, a small box inside a much too large outer box with inadequate bubble pillows (packing material) just thrown in. The outer box was pretty beaten up, with the tape split on two sides.
