My turkey pan!
There are lots of obvious uses for this pan, such as jumbo portions of lasagna.But for me, this is also the pan I haul out at Thanksgiving for turkey duty.Rather than use a conventional covered roasting pan that'll spend 11 months of the year gathering dust out in the garage, I've found this -- with the turkey size Reynolds oven roasting bags -- to be the perfect solution for extra-large (around 22 lbs.) birds.

best stoneware for baking
My loving and kind boyfriend surprised me on my birthday with this Le Creuset stoneware. I used this dish for the very first time to bake lasagna. I was so impressed how the food was evenly baked.I highly recommend this product.

Upscale bakeware
I purchased this item based on the good reviews. I was primarily interested in purchasing an attractive dish. The red dish looks great -- perfect for oven-to-table use. It was a pleasant surprise to find that food turns out so much better than with the Pyrex I was using. It bakes even and food stays moist. It is very easy to clean.

Sassafras La Cloche Brick Oven
Received my Sassafras La Cloche Brick Oven yesterday with the idea that I'd be trying it out this weekend. Unfortunately,I discovered that the thin clay handle was broken off the cover. Now I'm in the process of trying to get it returned and replaced.
Great bread, but...
I used La Cloche to make bread with, specifically San Francisco Sourdough, with SPECTACULAR results. The crust was crisp but chewey, and I could not imagine baking another loaf without it. But after I used it the first time, the bottom developed a crack. After a second use, the crack became so large that I will not use it again for fear it will break during cooking.

favorite container for microwaving and leftover storage
I have owned four of these containers for at least 3 years, maybe 4 years, and have used them almost daily.They have lasted well, except that some of the plastic lids have started to become slightly brittle, less flexible.However, they still seem like a good deal for the price, considering how much we have used them.I have been putting the lids in the dishwasher, on the top rack.

Toaster Oven Casserole Pan
This is an excellent pan to use in the toaster oven to cook meats, small casseroles, etc.I use it to oven fry chicken, or steaks.It is the perfect size to bake chicken breasts, stew beef for two, or meat and vegetables.The non-stick surface cleans well.This is my second one, and I use it practically every day.The price was extremely reasonable and the product will last a long time.

Non-stick coating peels again
My widowed mother-in-law badly needed a pan to use in her toaster oven and was delighted when I found this little Nordic Ware casserole pan; it was the perfect size.Within a month, however, the black non-stick coating began to peel in dime-size circles.She never puts anything in her dishwasher and is a diligent rule-follower -- I know this was not something she caused.I have no doubt Bed, Bath & Beyond will replace it, but it doesn't look like there are any other choices.I would much prefer to buy her something heavier and well made without a non-stick coating.We'll see.

Great heavy lasagna pan
This is a great looking 9x13 pan with good proportions.It is really deep and makes a great tall lasagna.It is extremely heavy when fully loaded with a lasagna.Its bulk gives it even cooking in the oven, but can be difficult to get out of the oven after your lasagna is done.I have made many other things in this pan with great results.It is fairly non-stick and has not stained even after several lasagnas.The enamel is fairly bulletproof.

great for small lunches
warning: this is not as big as it looks online. it holds under 2 cups, which isn't enough for a meal for most people. however, it fits my lunch snugly since i don't eat very much. in other words, if you are hoping to hold a bit of potato salad or a couple of cookies, this is the container for you. otherwise, go for the pyrex containers that hold at least >2-3 cups.

Beautiful and Versatile
I just cooked the Sauerbraten recipe from Molly Stevens "All About Braising" cookbook entirely in this pan.The results were fabulous. This pan is very versatile since it is quite wide (12") and deep enough to hold a 4LB chuck roast.You can crank up the heat to medium high to sear the meat and you will be get that great fond that adds so much taste to the sauce.The lid fits extremely well so that no braising liquid was lost in the 3 hours that the roast sat in the oven.The clean up was simple using a Dobie pad with detergent - really as easy as non-stick.This piece of cookware is so nice looking that we leave it out on the cooktop as kitchen decoration.So, while a Lodge dutch oven may work almost as well and is a lot cheaper, it can't compare to how great this pan looks in our kitchen.
A great starter piece or addition to your Le Creuset collection

Constantly in use in our house
My thoughtful guy stopped off at a Le Creuset outlet and called me from the store: "Hey, I'm at the Le Creuset outlet and you can have anything you want!" Oh, boy, it wasn't even my birthday. After consultation with the helpful sales assistant, we chose this casserole. It's large and flat like a skillet, has a domed cover, two side handles and it has the regular enamel lining. The sales assistant claimed it was the most used pot in her kitchen. I agree!
