Very nice, high quality, durable and beautiful, one cracked
I'm very happy with the quality of this set.One small problem that I'm sure Bodum will stand behind is a hairline crack at the bottom of one of the handles.Highly recommended.

No Way!Sent it Back!
I own a typical glass french press, which works great.I was willing to try this one because of the traveling capability.I would not purchase this again, and actually sent two back.It may have had great insulation to keep coffee warm, but it leaked grounds into the coffee! Yuck!

Great for Backpacking
I bought this mug/french press to use when backpacking.The outdoor stores sell something similar, but made out of plastic.I was willing to accept the extra weight for the extra durability.Plus the plastic ones can't be used as a mug.
Great buy
I bought this for my boyfriend who is very picky when it comes to drinking his coffee. He loves this mug and uses it everyday. The stainless steel interior makes it so the mug doesn't continually smell like coffee, and the mug holds heat for a couple hours at a time. The build is sturdy and even fits in a car cupholder. Very good product
Excellent Product, coffee is very good tasting. granted not quite as good as brewed but I found that I was waisting more then half the pot daliy. What I do with these pods is push the 5 oz button twice which gives me a nice full cup off coffee on just one pod and the stength is fine.
Would be lost without this now!
I have the Melitta One coffeemaker and have tried all the java pods.I add just a touch of cream to the coffees and nothing to the green tea pod.For those who are not familiar with the coffeemaker--it comes with separate inserts to brew tea.Takes about two seconds to switch out. Green tea is my favorite but there are also raspberry, chai and others.

Trust me on this one...save your money
I am NOT a coffee snob...I like all kinds and strengths of coffee, however, melitta does not do its one:one machine justice with these pods.I tried all of the pods in the variety pak and was not happy with any of them.

Zojirushi 2.5 Airpot
Not made well enough for the price.Even the inner tube which pumps the coffee is made out of plastic and doesn't come clean. Our previous pot was so much better.The lid is also flimsy.

This item performs exactly as was described in any of the marketing information I read.That, in and of itself, is something to be happy about.Keeps coffee hot up to 36 hours, is easy to disassemble and clean, and the Stainless Steel is well worth the extra $$. The last one I had was aluminum, and it became dulled and dirty looking over time.This one looks new all the time.

Excellent Product
I was a little hesitant to believe that this air pot could keep liquids hot for a long period of time.I did a test at home before taking the pot to the office.I used water that ws just barely boiling. 17 hours later, the water was still steaming!!!I was/am very impressed.This is a great must have for a small office.I am very glad I decided to make this purchase.

this thing cooks
If you are a serious cook this item does more than boil water, yes that is it's purpose and this does it well. Boiling a small amount of pasta? Start this up and heat a pan on the stove. This is MUCH faster.A great time saver. Making James Beard's recipe for apricot bread? Use the mesuring device and add the boiling water. This is not the same thing as a burner device.I use it often for coffee, but, often it has so many more uses.Think of the times you boil water and you may get the idea.

The best on the market
If all you want to do is heat water, this is the best.It is fast, quiet and reliable.It pours very well.This was purchased to replace an earlier version of the same model.Unfortunately, they shortened the cord a bit (pulled all the way out) and removed the red float, so it's harder to see when you have the right amout of water in it.However, it is still a really great product.

Don't sell your microwave
My old Thermos brand carafe had about seen it's day, so after reading all of the great reviews here I picked one up one of these Zojirushi's. I have to say it barely keeps a fresh, piping hot pot of coffee warm until lunch time. In fact, I think my old Thermos brand plastic carafe actually did a little better job. Sorry, I just don't see all the excitement over this item. I find it an average performer. This is the model made in Japan and I have to say I'm not excited about the quality of construction either. Now I wish I would have just spent a little extra money on an airpot.

Sticky button
This carafe keeps beverages warm enough.The problem I'm having is the push button on the lid sticking in the open position.The instructions that accompanied the carafe address this issue, although they were written for a different model that has the push button on the top of the lid.Despite following these instructions the push button still sticks.To get the lid to close now after I'm done pouring I have to release the button and smack the top of the carafe.Very poor design in my opinion.I wouldn't buy another Zojirushi product based on this experience.

We've been using this carafe every single day for about 6 months. We strictly use it to keep hot water to warm our babies milk bottles and her food that's been stored in the fridge.

Great for Hot Water during travel
We used this while traveling overseas - mainly for heating up water.We were able to make tea, hot chocolate, instant soup, oatmeal, etc.It was great!!It's a very compact little machine that makes hot water (or coffee) straight into a little cup that it comes with (which nests on top for storage).

I love, love , love it !
Ive had mine for about 3 yearsnow . I bought it when it first came out and its still in perfect working order. I just love it ! The coffee tastes great and the ease of use is incredible. I will never go back to a conventional coffee pot ....ever !

Great Tasting, Great Looking, Great Price
This is definitely not your conventional coffee maker.It is pretty to the eyes, but most of all, it tastes absolutely wonderful!The coffee served from this maker could easily be passed as a Starbucks brew.I was convinced to buy this when I sawand tasted it at a neighbor's house.She then said it was reasonably priced as well.After checking online at all the sites available, Amazon's of course beat all other prices.This truly is a great buy.Besides the marvelous taste that all comment on, it is the perfect alternative for coffee drinkers who are not morning people.Because it can be programmed to start brewing, shuts off after two hours, and you can get your coffee while it is still brewing, we morning rushers can still have our favorite coffee that gives that needed kick.The only complaint is the lack of clarity in the cleaning directions that came with the coffee maker.This was not impossible though and overcoming the confusing and inadequate technical writing is well worth it.

A matter of taste...
This is a nice idea and a nice looking unit, but the taste of the brew is noticeably different from what I get from my old unit with a glass carafe. I think the glass is the key. This unit brews into a plastic resevoir, and it seems that the plastic imparts some taste to the coffee.

Good idea, needs a manual to accompany product
The 24K filter is a good idea, the obvious advantage being that it is reusable and avoids the disposable paper filters. However, the filter's design affects the brewing process in non-obvious ways. First, it is much more permeable than a paper filter, this speeds the flow of water through it, so you will need to adjust the strength setting. I have it on the highest setting, which slows down the water flow. You will need to use a good grinder, a burr grinder is best, because it grinds the beans to the approximate same size particles. A smaller blade type grinder will have all different sized particles and you will get sediment in your coffee no matter what you do with the gold filter. Secondly, because it is more permeable, the usual coffee soup brewing that takes place in a paper cone does not happen, also reducing the strength of the coffee. I don't know a good way to get around this when brewing less than a full pot. So resign yourself to using the paper filter when brewing small quantities if you like strong coffee.

This is solidly built, easy to clean and keeps tea & coffee hot (scalding hot) for 6-7 hours!Never needed it to keep anything longer than 7 hours, but it's easy to say it will keep coffee comfortably hot for, at least, a couple more hours.

The perfect filter!
If you have ever had to toss out a pot of coffee ruined by a filter that collapsed or just didn't fit right, this product is what you need. Stop throwing your money away. These filters actually work!

BUNN filters
What can I say....they are the ONLY ones that fit my Bunn o matic coffee maker. Now it doesn't over flow because the so called generic one's that say they fit it, just DON'T.
not all filters are the same
AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF FRUSTRATION WITH MY EXPENSIVE STARBUCKS BARISTA AROMA GRANDE OVERFLOWING GRINDS AND SEDIMENT OVER THE TOP EDGE OF THE MELLITA PAPER FILTERS AND INTO THE COFFEE POT, I BOUGHT THESE FILTERS AT MY LOCAL ACE HARDWARE AND WAS AMAZED THAT THEY INDEED DO WORK BETTER WITH NO OVERFLOW. THIS PROBABLY IS DUE TO A TALLER PROFILE TO THE FILTER AND A MORE TIGHTLY FLUTED FILTER WALL. THIS MAKES A STRONGER FILTER EDGE WHICH DOES NOT FOLD DOWN AND PROBABLY INCREASES THE FILTRATION SURFACE AREA....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED OVER THE OTHER BRANDS. ... Read more
