5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding product
I purchased the Lodge Logic 10-1/2 inch skillet ($9.63) and a 5 quart Dutch oven ($29.99). The order confirmation was received within a few minutes. Eight hours later another notification was received stating that the skillet had been shipped and the oven was backordered. Both were classified as "Free Shipping" items...no way. A package was delivered by UPS in three days. It was rather large and I thought my spouse made a purchase. The box was opened. It contained another box bubble wrapped. The second box was opened and it contained the skillet...again, bubble wrapped. The skillet was in perfect condition...no irregular pre-seasoning patterns at all. Four days later the oven and lid (fits the skillet too) arrived...same scenario. I have used both and am delighted with the quality of Lodge products. A few minor small pitmarks are on the bottom of each, but that goes along with sand casting iron. Kinda adds a bit of frontier flavor to my new goodies. They are basically non-stick and clean easily if you follow the enclosed instructions. Cooking with cast iron products is delightful....slow, even and predictable.
5-0 out of 5 stars Sold on Cast Iron - Easy and Good Results
I used to think that the best cookware is anodized aluminum Calphalon with the most advanced non-stick surface.Well, there still is a place for those expen$ive pans, but old-fashioned cast-iron cookware is now my favorite.
2-0 out of 5 stars Just got it, but handle Too Small!
I used to own a Cast Iron skillet that I seasoned myself. When I left the co-op college house I was in, someone asked if they could have the skillet. I let them have it. But recently, I have been using all Teflon coated pans, and after reading/hearing all of the potential problems Teflon can cause, I decided to try a cast iron skillet again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful design, feel great
I bought this case for my Canon A620 and I liked it a lot. It is nicely design to fit the camera snugly. The padding is soft yet enough to make me feel that my camera would survive an accidental fall.

Editorial Review

West Bend has improved on the classic corn popper design by adding a motorized stirring rod which ensures that every single kernel pops, every time. In about five minutes, the Stir Crazy Popper produces up to 6 quarts of perfectly popped corn, using one tablespoon of oil per 1/4 cup corn. You can clean it with just a quick swipe of the sponge. For added flavor, place a bit of butter in the butter well to melt over the corn as it pops. The plastic cover doubles as a serving bowl, so when the cycle is done, just flip it over to enjoy popcorn that's guaranteed to be good to the last pop. Read more

Features

  • Popcorn popper with motorized stirring rod to ensure all kernels pop
  • Produces up to 6 quarts in about 5 minutes; built-in butter well
  • Nonstick coated popping surface
  • Heat-resistant handles and base; plastic cover doubles as serving bowl

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW
It is a kind of entertainment to watch how this relatively small machine pops popcorn. it is very funny and the final result is super delicious. I didn't have any problems so far and I am very glad that I found this popcorn popper. My wife and I like to use it very often. Recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW! This machine is amazing!!
If you have one of those hot air popcorn poppers, better get rid of it and buy this one! No more putting in popcorn and having it blow back out into the bowl, no more having to fight a warped lid! This machine works very well! I made 2 quarts of popcorn and had a total of three unpopped kernels in the bottom of the bowl when I was done, and two half popped kernels. Beat that you roaring-warped-lid-hot-air-popper! This machine is silent (aside from the popping corn) This popcorn popper DOES require you use a little oil to pop the corn. For 2 quarts of popcorn (1/3 cup of kernels) you need 1 TBSP of oil, which is almost next to nothing. It pops fast and does a thorough job of it. The popcorn I used was NOT gourmet popcorn or any fancy, expensive brand. It was ordinary no-name bulk popcorn from a large bulk food store around here. I recommend this popcorn popper!

4-0 out of 5 stars The kids loved it!
This is a fun and a bit of a nostalgic gift I received from a friend of mine for Christmas last year. She purchased it here on amazon.com and then sent me the link.

Editorial Review

KitchenAid's Artisan stand mixer is a substantial piece of equipment: 325 watts of mixing power make child's play of creaming butter, kneading dough, and whipping cream. The kid in you will appreciate how quick and easy it is to mix up a batch of cookie dough. This model comes with three attachments: a flat beater for making batter, meat loaf, and all textures in-between; a wire whip for egg whites, mayonnaise, and more air-infused creations; and a hook for mixing and kneading yeast doughs. All three are solidly constructed and easily secured to the beater shaft with a simple twist. This model also includes a pouring shield for guiding ingredients to their proper destination, and the bowl itself locks tight to the base. Standing about 15 inches high, jutting out a foot, and weighing more than a grown woman's bowling ball, this stand mixer isn't the sort of appliance you'll wipe down and put away. Better to find a square foot of free counter space for easy access; besides, this machine is as pretty as it is rugged--you'll want to show it off. Read more

Features

  • 325-watt mixer with 10 speeds; 5-quart stainless steel bowl
  • Tilt-back head for easy access to mixture
  • 2-piece pouring shield with large chute for adding ingredients
  • Includes flat beater, dough hook, and wire whip
  • Measures 14 by 8-2/3 inches by 14 inches; 1-year warranty

3-0 out of 5 stars MAKES A GREAT PROP
The main reason I bought this mixer was because I wanted the whole retro-appliance look for my kitchen.I was actually less concerned with how it works.
5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely no comparison this is the BEST
My original mixer is almost 12 years old and recently was given to my mom because we received a brand new mixer as a housewarming gift. This is by far the BEST stand mixer on the market.I love the ease with which this product works, it is invaluable in your kitchen. It whips cream in 2 minutes (chill the bowl first), but can also handle heavy dough or batter, like breads, without any strain on it's motor. My 12 year old mixer works exactly like my brand new mixer, and in the 12 years that I've owned the mixer, never ever had a problem with it.No maintenance! You will never regret purchasing this product.

5-0 out of 5 stars Go Ahead and Buy it!
There are already many great reviews of this outstanding product, and all I can really add s : just go ahead and order it.Amazon has the best prices, and if you're debating between the Pro model vs Artisan, you can't go wrong either way. There both plenty powerful and big enough for any home uses. The tilt-head Artisan series is more compact and easier for most people to use, so it will likely be the best choice (the price difference doesn't hurt either). My girlfriend and I became a little too attached with the notion of the Pro model, and it almost made us delay the purchase (until we could afford it).I'm glad we wised up and ordered the Artisan.

An inexpensive alternative to a professional stainless-steelmandoline, this device makes it possible to quickly, uniformly, andsafely slice and julienne vegetables and fruits. It also shreds cabbageand neatly dices potatoes, tomatoes, and onions. For safety, a holderfirmly grips food with stainless-steel prongs so fingers are protectedfrom the German surgical-steel blades, and the three insertsaccompanying the device lock in position. The inserts act as a guidefor slicing against the V-frame's knife that reverses to create sliceseither 1/4-inch or 1/16-inch thick and two julienne inserts forcreating 1/8-inch or 3/8-inch strips. For storage, the V-frame, allthree inserts, and the safety holder fit into a caddy that can standupright on the counter, lie flat in a drawer, or hang on the wall. 5-0 out of 5 stars Simply machines work best.
My old Borner slicer had seen it's day so I went back to the local store to buy another and found none. How fortunate I was to find it on Amazon. This nifty item is the simplest, fastest, most efficent way to handle slicing, dicing etc. of foods. A mandoline is far too elaborate for a good "old fashion" italian cook. Buy it you won't regret it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent and cleans up well.
There are a lot of reviews here flattering this device better than I can. I don't cook well, so any device that easily cuts things up in interesting and useful shapes and is easy to clean earns my appreciation. This focuses on cleaning and use more than results since I didn't even know these things existed until a week ago. I had no idea that I could ever slice vegetables so well. I thought only restaurants and other people had the capability.
5-0 out of 5 stars Yep, works as advertised...
I bought this based on the recommendations of all of the reviews I read here on Amazon and I'm glad to say I'm glad I did.

With grooved channels to catch juices for making sauces and, these three inexpensive cutting boards are ideal for carving roasts andpoultry. The boards' rounded edges make them unusually attractive forserving at table. Plus, they flip over to provide flat sides to prepvegetables or slice and serve bread. Because the set consists of alarge, medium, and small board, all cutting and carving needs aresatisfied. The large board measures 17-1/2 by 11-1/2 inches, the mediumis 11-1/2 by 9 inches, and the small is 8-3/4 by 6-1/2 inches. Made offarm-grown hardwood (no forest trees involved), the 5/8-inch-thickboards are sealed with food-grade mineral oil so they won't dry out.Wipe them clean with soapy water and dry and they will last severallifetimes. 3-0 out of 5 stars Just okay
The large and middle-sized cutting boards not only were hard to get stains out of, they continued to smell like the last thing cut on them.Even when scrubbed by hand I could not get the onion or garlic smell out of the board, hence that board was designated for that purpose only. I never felt it was a good idea to put wood in the dishwasher as it literally soaks up anything that is put on it, not to mention that they will warp only that much faster.I kept them though for use as trivets for setting my roasting pans on.I just covered them with aluminum foil and that way they did not burn.As for the little one, it was never used; however, you still can't beat the price, especially when they can be used for other purposes.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Price
The only problem is one of the board started to seperate from the middle. It's still together at the moment but it seems that the wood expanded. My wife still likes the cutting board.

3-0 out of 5 stars One of the boards broke.
The middle sized board broke after 1 week of use.The small and large ones are still holding up though. For the price, I can accept one of the boards breaking. The middle board just split clean in half, like it was glued together. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed.
Just bought this item this week, was very excited about using it for the first time. Turned out to be a huge mess. The stove turned black right under the grill, it took like 20 min to clean it up, burned up mess. Also there there is soo much smoke coming from the grill I had to shut off the smoke detector for a while. Overall the food came out pretty good but the mess with the stove really upset me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for omelets, etc. without toxic teflon
It's worth the extra weight. The preseasoning makes it easy to use and cleaning is super easy; just very hot water.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great smokey taste indoors
I had researched for several months before deciding on this grill pan. I had used cast iron since the 70's and loved it. After watching on the Food network all the indoor grilling that was being done and how good it looked I decided to give it a try. This pan was also recommended on the Food Network and it is one that is used on several shows. I have grilled everything from vegs to fruits and all kinds of meats and fish and everything has come out beautiful and moist, with a great smokey flavor. After the pan cools I clean it in hot water with a stiff brush, dry, rub with oil and leave on my stove top for the next use. I recomment this pan if you are a serious or not so serious cook and like to grill year round without having to light up outside all the time. Thanks Jordan Mom loves her BDay gift. =) ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Works just like more reviewers said it does
I had one of those Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman moments this morning. My wife and I were rushing to get ready to go to the birthday party of a toddler, and a tiny can of Coke balanced on a shelf fell to the floor and exploded without any of us hearing it in our open kitchen pantry.
4-0 out of 5 stars It's great!
I received my Floormate yesterday and it's great! It was easy to assemble and easy to use!I'm so happy to get rid of brooms and mops! The only reason that it got 4 stars is that I found it to be a bit heavy.I'm a petite girl and I found it a bit heavy, but other than that, it's perfect!

5-0 out of 5 stars No more scrubbing on my hands and knees -
I know one reviewer wrote that nothing replaces scrubbing on the hands and knees - but I'm thinking this does it for my house.Once a month, I regularly scrubbed with my bucket and scrub brush - yet within weeks, if something were to spill on the floor and I wiped it up with a papertowel - there would be black on the towel from dirt on the tile floor.I also mopped daily with one of those clorox mops - but it just didn't do it.With 4 young kids, a spotless kitchen is not in their vocabulary. They paint in my kitchen, do arts and crafts, including glue and sparkly things, plus I have a husband who doesn't know the first thing about cleaning up after himself in the kitchen.Add to that the pool that is open and inviting to all the kids friends every summer, and you get lots of little feet tramping across the floor. This floor cleaner is awesome - you can vacuum with it - but I prefer to vacuum my kitchen floor with the rest of the house, and use my Dyson. Then, a simple fill up from the hot water tap and some cleaner (look for my review online about the cleaner - do NOT buy it in the stores) and you're off.The first couple times I cleaned, I moved slowly, and got off dirt that was ground into the grout that I'd never bothered to pick out.Even dried playdooh came right off. After that first week - I realized that the soles of my feet were no longer turning black.AFter 2 weeks of use (I used it every 3 days at first) I let the kids wear their white socks in the house again.Amazing.I still haven't used it in the bathrooms to see how all the attachments work - but for what it can do in the kitchen alone - it was well worth the money. ... Hand-held but very powerful, this Eureka model eliminates the hassle of lugging around a full-size vacuum for cleaning car upholstery, sofas, and carpeted stairs. A long 20-foot cord (which wraps for storage) provides good reach, as does the deluxe hose that stretches to three times its length. With the crevice tool on the end of the hose, this vacuum reaches into all kinds of tight places. And, with two motors, one to power the revolving brush and one for suction, the 5.5 amp vacuum cleans deeply. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great suction, but could be lighter
Its amazing how much dirt this little baby sucked off our couch and upholstry. The ability to make the suction head vertical is quite helpful. The vaccum cleaner is a bit on the heavy side though - if it had been a little lighter, I would have given it 5 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally a hand held vacuum that works!!
I recieved my Eureka hand held vacuum yesterday. The first thing i did was vacuum my sofas...WOW was i amazed at what was in there!I have had many other dustbusters that work great for awhile and then give out after about a year. (usually charger malfunction) I decided i was going to try an electric one this time and i'm so happy i chose this one.I couldn't be happier!!I can't wait to get to the stairs next!!LOL. The suction power on this vacuum is better than my upright vacuum. The filter probably will need to be cleaned out after each use.I have to clean out the filter on my upright after each vacuuming too...so i'm used to it. We just use our aircompressor to do that. Someone had mentioned that the cup fills up fast.I imagine if your doing a big job it would. But for in between cleanings or doing sofas, beds or stairs, I wouldn't think you'd have to empty it more than once. You absolutely won't regret buying this machine.I never have written a review on anything else before, but this one deserves it!!I love it, love it, love it!!

Professional chefs have long sung the praises of the KitchenAid stand mixer. Now, KitchenAid has designed a product specifically for the home baker with this nine-speed hand mixer. 5-0 out of 5 stars What a workhorse--I love it!!
This mixer is such a workhorse; it is always up for any amount of mixing you want to do.I have a black one that came with accessories--dough hooks, whisk, and drink mixer rod. What impressed me the most, along with the normal mixing and whisking, is when I used the dough hooks to mix a LARGE amount of ground beef mixture that I was preparing to make a couple of meat loaves and meatballs with.It tackled it with ease.
5-0 out of 5 stars You Can't beat KitchenAid!
This is my third KitchenAid hand mixer. My first was a three speed, my second a five speed and now I have the nine speed. Each one has had more power than the last. This is light weight and has an easy to use digital speed control that is not in your way when you are using the mixer. I always wanted the KitchenAid stand mixer, but when my children were home, I couldn't afford it and now that I can afford it, the hand mixers from KitchenAid have made me realize its just not necessary to have the big one that takes up a lot of counter space. The nine speed is wonderful. The lower two speeds are for stirring. My other two mixers didn't have that capability. I was surprised how much power this mixer has. If you don't have the room or don't want to spend the money to buy a big stand mixer, buy this one. It's a great little mixer with a lot of power.

5-0 out of 5 stars This mixer's for me!
I needed a good mixer with multiple speeds, and this mixer fit the bill.My first use was to make quick breads~4 loaves of banana bread. The low speeds were helpful blending the large quantities of ingredients.

2-0 out of 5 stars This really is just OK
I have been deciding whether to buy this for months. I bring my lunch to work every day and was already using Gladware, tupperware etc. When this finally arrived I was initiailly impressed but I noticed right away tht it's "bulky" and rather large, on the outside only.
4-0 out of 5 stars Very effective lunch container
Unlike many reviewers for this product, I'm a dedicated bring-your-own lunch person -- I've been making my own lunches since college. I used to bring lunch in a Ziploc bag or sealed plastic container, and for a while I had a lightly-insulated soft lunch"box". Usually I didn't have trouble, but sometimes things would leak or get squashed. When I started riding my bike to work and going all over the place on public transit, I really wanted something that would never leak out of its container, and would be easy to carry in a backpack or by hand. I also needed something that would hold quite a bit of food because I tend to get hungry in the afternoon and eating work-supplied popcorn and soda is not how I want to get my calories.
1-0 out of 5 stars Not at all what I'd hoped
Well, it turned out not to be lined with stainless steel--it just has a stainless steel exterior; the inside and all of the containers and their lids are cheapo plastic which can't be microwaved or put in the dishwasher.

2-0 out of 5 stars Brushed Chrome is Chrome Colored Plastic
The main reason I bought this Imersion Hand Blender was to replace my old one with a plastic body.I was extremely disapointed when I received my "Brushed Chrome" Blender only to find out the body is chrome colored plastic.Upon reviewing the item description, it does say in the fine print "This Brushed Chrome SmartStick Hand Blender is made from ABS housing".Well in my book Chrome is metal and ABS is plastic. The only things I like about this blender are that you can remove the shaft assembly for cleaning and the motor is pretty powerful.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dangy-dang!
Holy guacamole! I was a disbeliever, but now that I have this Cuisinart immersion blender, I am a True Believer. It is substantial yet quiet, and it works really, really well. It is easy to clean as the blender piece pops right off. I love that I can just place it into the pot and puree my soup right there! Awesome! Carrot soup, cauliflower soup, sweet potato soup have all fallen under my spell with this magic wand. Recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ah hah, I'm all shook up!
Well ok, maybe I am not all shook up so much as BLENDED up. I purchased this immersion blender after my older no name brand unit purchased at Wally World died in the middle of blending a pot of hot soup. I like that you can wash the blenders blade assembly in the dishwasher and the stainless steel shaft is not stained like so many of the ALL PLASTIC models. Another thing I love is the power of the unit and the sharpness of the blades; they will reduce a pot of cream of broccoli soup to a smooth consistency in nothing flat.

4-0 out of 5 stars Works Great
I got this as a gift. I have three kids, a dog and live in government quarters that require us to leave the carpet looking new (they even black light you upon checking out.) This product is a life saver. I haven't had any problems with spraying. It does leave crop circles, but does get all the stains out, then when I get the big steam cleaner out when I do that once a quarter cleaning, it all blends together. It is a great product that saves me time, energy and hopefully when we check out next year some dollars.

1-0 out of 5 stars I'd give it 0 stars if that was possible
This thing stinks. And I did not even get it going. The priming problem is real. What a pain. How do corporations get away with this?Because consumers allow them to!I mean, look at all the problems in these reviews with priming, and so many people say, "But, gee, I finally got it working."I mean, is that a standard to aspire to?
2-0 out of 5 stars Leaves spots of its own
While the Spotbot is good at removing all types of stains on the carpet, you'll find yourself left with even more noticeable patches on your carpet. We've had our Spotbot for about six months.Unfortunately every time we use it it does something to the carpet which causes dirty patches to form much faster. Now we've got loads of circles on our carpet which are very evident to visitors. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Where Have These Been All My Life!
These Hercules Hooks are absolutely incredible.I wish I had them before my husband put many, many holes in our walls with anchors and screws. If I want to relocate anything, he tries to patch up the hole, but it always shows. These hooks make only a pin sized hole!I hung a shelf unit in my bathroom and put books on it.It is still there.
4-0 out of 5 stars Cool
This is a excellent product..as described very easy to incert and position...haven't checked the weight capability.. not disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars They really do work!!
These hooks are incredible!!I have used them throughout my home to hang heavy art work and mirrors, and the best part is that I can do it myself without waiting for my husband to get out his drill, hammer, leveler, etc.I love them so much we have given them as house warming gifts, and everyone that has received them from us has been as amazed as we are by how effective and easy they are to use!If you want a secure and quick way to hang anything on your walls without making a huge hole use these hooks! ... 2-0 out of 5 stars artificial candy like vanilla flavor
These are okay, but I prefer Target's Archer Farms brand coffee pods much more. They cost less, are bigger, individually wrapped and produce a much smoother coffee with real vanilla flavor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice change of pace
I'm new to the coffee pod scene, but this Paris blend is delightful. The pods produce a subtle blend that varys enough from the Medium Roast to make a nice change.Great for that second cup in the morning.

4-0 out of 5 stars For Vanilla lovers
My husband actually did not like this flavor, but he isn't that big into Vanilla. However, my in-laws raved! They may actually buy a Senseo based on trying ours. They didn't want to drink all of our coffee, but we said go ahead since my husband didn't like it.They must have had 3 cups each of this coffee, it was like they couldn't get enough.I suggest that you actually try any Senseo flavor by buying one pack at the store first to see if you like the flavor. If you do, come back to Amazon and order in bulk to save you money.$3.84 at Walmart for a package of 10 pods = .38 each. Here it is only .25 a cup of coffee at the current price. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars convenience at a price
My wife and I only drink one cup a day and we have different preferences for flavor, caffination, etc.So a single brew machine is ideal for us.We're both very pleased with the taste and convenience of the B-60.Because the cofee is brewed directly into the cup, there's no burned or "stale" taste from an automatic drip machine carafe/hotplate.There's the great convenience of just pushing a button and simple clean-up.The variety of K-cup coffees on the market easily meets our needs.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great coffee maker!!Great tea maker too!!
Great coffee maker that makes a good cup of coffee and a good cup of tea.If you're exceptionally picky about your coffee, you might be disappointed since it does not rival a well-made fresh ground cup of joe, but the Keurig allows you to brew a good cup of coffee and tailor it to your specific tastes. My wife likes decaf and I like strong caffeinated coffee, so this offers the ability to make everyone happy. The selection of k-cups for both tea and coffee is much better than other single cup systems. The coffee from Timothy's is my favorite, especially the ultra dark roasts. The other plus for this unit over the other pod systems is that you can purchase a small filter which allows you to use your OWN custom ground coffee and blends.Good selection of teas from Twinings and Celestial Seasonings.System brews a good cup of tea that is smotth and not bitter. The downside is that we haven't found a good local source and have had to buy from the internet from both Amazon and Ebay. Ebay allows you to buy individual k-cups so that you can sample different blends and brands before you buy the big boxes. Local stores have just a few brands and don't reflect the much larger variety available for the Keurig system vice the other pod systems. We're glad we bought this unit!!
4-0 out of 5 stars Best single-serve coffee maker available!
I agree with the Mad Hatter. This machine is very attractive and well-made. It can be Ready to Brew at all times [if you leave it on]. Until I received the "MY K-CUP", I didn't like most of the coffee choices. Now I can use my own coffee beans! I use 1/2 coffee scoop of my coffee for a Travel Mug size.

Editorial Review

This straight-sided 2-1/2-quart pan can be used for sauces and, covered with its flat lid, for stews and casseroles. Shallow (3 inches) in relation to its capacity and diameter (8-3/8 inches), this pan, unlike conventionally proportioned saucepans, exposes lots of surface and is therefore ideal for reducing sauces or even stocks and broths. Though it's not nonstick, like some Calphalon cookware, the matte-finish pan is anodized for stick-resistance as well as hardness. Metal utensils won't harm the surface. The contoured, textured handle is cast stainless steel and resists heating on the stovetop; it's also triple-riveted for durability and balance. Made of heavy-gauge aluminum, the pan cooks without hot spots or warping and carries a lifetime warranty against defects. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Don't burn the macaroni
I purchased this pot in January, and have used it several times a week since.I love the pot for sauces and other stove top applications, it has worked tremedously on my ceramic stove top (grrr hate the ceramic wish it was gas but that is a different review). The pot has been easy to clean and the finish has held up very well, and I looked forward to years of use until I boiled the pot dry with my macaroni noodles. The noodles seemed to have bonded in a blackened brotherhood to the bottom of the pot and no amount of soaking, scrubbing, cleaning can seem to coax them to separate again.Because this little incident had more to do with being the mother of a teething 8 month old and had very little to do with the pot, I will definatly be purchasing another pot.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great little saucepan
I like the size and shape of this saucepan. It is big enough for something like spaghetti sauce or even mashed potatoes, but not so big is overwhelms smaller jobs.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great cookware!
Really have enjoyed using this Saucepan.Cooks evenly, does not stick, cleans up good.Thinking of purchasing more of this product. ... Read more

Creating up to 1-1/2 quarts of ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, or frozen drinks at home takes only about 20 minutes with thiselectric appliance, and salt and ice are not needed. After themachine's chilling chamber has been in the freezer for about eighthours the liquid between its walls is thoroughly frozen. The chamberthen goes atop the power base, the unit's paddle goes into the chamber, the transparent top is locked in place, and the machine is turned on.Ingredients go into the chamber through an opening in the top as thepaddle turns. The chamber chills the ingredients to whateverconsistency is desired--though dense treats are hard to make becausethe paddle churns in air. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Very happy
I've had this ice cream maker for about a year and use it at least once a month. I have never had a problem with it and have been very pleased with the results. The output is not as creamy as Ben & Jerry's but I guess I can't expect miracles! My only complaint is I need a second bowl since my husband and I like different flavors--I don't like having to wait up to a full day to make a second batch. I do recommend the Ben & Jerry's recipt booklet. The raspberry sorbet and ice cream and the peach ice cream are phenomenal!

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good for the Price
I agree with others that this machine is a little noisy. But, it isn't bad enough to not buy the machine. For a basic ice cream machine this works wonders.A few tips: be sure you freeze the canister for at least 8 hours and cool your ingredients in the refrigerator before you start the machine.Note that it is very important to cool your ice cream mixture for at least an hour (I recommend two if it was hot). One time I decided my mixture was "cool enough" at room temperature and the ice cream didn't freeze properly. Also, know that when you use an ice cream machine such as this one you will get softer ice cream as the final product. If you want hard ice cream- freeze the end product over night. Personally, I like the softer ice cream. Finally, if you want a truly easy to use machine, and can afford it, I would go for one of the machines that you don't have freeze the canister. Those will start out at at least $150.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed!
I recently bought this ice cream maker because of the great reviews!I thought I was receiving an exceptional product. However, the very first time I used it, the machine stopped after about 10 minutes as if the motor overheated.I used it a second and third time and the same thing happened, in fact the stopping became more frequent!Maybe I got a reject but I am hoping I can return the item as I am VERY disappointed in it. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Value!
Great little toaster ... especially for the price. Manufacturer seems to have fixed tipping problem by adding another foot to the front of the unit. Mine never tips over, even when pushing down with great force.

5-0 out of 5 stars Recommended
This toaster is easy to use and toasts very well small and medium slices. I haven't had any issues with it and I think that it is very well designed and manufactured. Overall it is one of the products that I often use and the result is very good. Recommended.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice for the price
This is a nice toaster for the price. There are three things I don't like about it.1.It doesn't toast wide slices of bread easily. 2. It has no crumb tray; you just have to dump the built-up crumbs. 3. It's hard to get the toast out--probably because of the type of bread I use. I'm a specialty bread user; I buy the Old World type
