3-0 out of 5 stars Response to Melissa's Review
Melissa, have you broken your Oster yet?I've gone through two Oster blenders for the sole reason that they keep sending me new ones. So, though I speak highly of the company, they alas, will also break. While other blenders have that rubber connection to the motor and the Oster's is metal, the metal piece is connected to the motor with a rubber grommet that you won't see until it breaks.I don't want to mislead that the performance of the blender isn't outstanding while it's working, but then it's broken. So my only problem really is being out one blender for about 12 days while I'm waiting for my new one to come by UPS.

4-0 out of 5 stars Powerful Blender!
Solid and powerful, with sharp blades. Only thing I wish it had were more variable speeds. But great for smoothies and frozen drinks... grinds right through ice.

5-0 out of 5 stars An Outstanding Blender for the Money
I had an Oster previously which after much use and many years finally gave out. I thought very highly of it and therefore purchased another one. It is somewhat loud but it does do the job--it's great in chopping ice for drinks. For the money, you cannot beat it! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great bakeware set
This makes a great wedding gift. It has all the most-used baking pans with a quality finish and weight.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Pleased with this Product
I just wanted to add my 2 bits. I was pleasantly surprised when I received this shipment.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great product and Teflon is not toxic when comsumed...
I bought this product...great price for the set. It does what the other reviews have said and includes those as well. I just wanted to mention that Teflon is not reactive when consumed so it will just pass through your system. And as for the fume that comes out of it at high tempertaure...most of us don't own ovens/stoves that heat up the pans 570F+ so no need to worry about the fumes (which causes illness).

Editorial Review

Pancakes, eggs, and bacon somehow taste extra hearty whencooked in a heavy cast-iron skillet. Cast iron creates superior heatretention, heats evenly, and loves a campfire, unlike flimsier pans.Fry up a mess of catfish, roast a chicken, or bake an apple crisp inthis generous 12-inch pan that features two handles for heavy lifting, and two subtle side lips for pouring. While the skillet comespreseasoned to prevent food from sticking, it works best when sprayedor lightly coated with vegetable oil before use. Whether used in akitchen or camp, this virtually indestructible pan should last forgenerations.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect
I've got this one and the 10 1/4" skillet. For a family of 5, this size is perfect. It easily handles 3 lbs. of ground beef, a double batch of Hamburger Helper, or 8 small chicken breasts. This is the pan I reach for most often. However, it's not quite perfect.I'm having a devil of a time getting pancakes to cook evenly.Others have mentioned uneven heating due to it's size, and I've wondered the same thing. If the only flaw in this pan is imperfect pancakes, I can easily live with it and find a more suitable pan for the pancakes. This is my "go to" pan whenever I'm cooking for our crew; can't imagine cooking without it.It browns & carmelizes beautifully.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good but Not Perfect
I've used this pan for about four years now.I use it exclusively and it is easy to care for ***AS LONG AS*** you keep acidic foods such as tomato sauce and wine out of it.If you ever partially take off the seasoning with an acidic food, what a ***CHORE*** it is to get the seasoning right again. You will have to SCRAPE off the remaining seasoning somehow and reseason all over again (which is no big deal if you cook sausage or bacon).I messed up the seasoning in my cast iron dutch oven and I never did manage to get it right again -- maybe if I set aside two hours and used steel wool or something else requring a lot of elbow grease.
5-0 out of 5 stars Good
It has turned out to be a bit too large for me (live alone) but it has been welcomed when family visits.I like the Lodge Logic line, slightly lighter than most cast iron, pre-seasoned makes it a winner. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for it's price!
Maybe, being a foreigner, I'm less picky and spoiled than an American, but I think these sheet sets (i got navy blue and brick red) are a great deal for it's price! Yeah, they do pill quite a lot and they do leave a lot of lint (hopefully only after the first washes), but overall they are soft and cousy and fit perfectly on the bed.

1-0 out of 5 stars Better than nothing
These were VERY disappointing. As with all sheets, they need to be washed when they arrived. On the first cycle, they lost at least 50% of their thickness. Oh, that didn't disappear... all the lint turned up in my dryer (6 cups of it, by the way). Even then, the sheets had pills of flannel fabric all over them... which meant they needed another wash/dry cycle. That one produced 4 cups of lint, and by the time they'd been shaken out (the excess fluff flew everywhere!) they were thin and not all that soft.
1-0 out of 5 stars Beware - poor quality
I ordered these sheets based on previously posted positive reviews. These sheets are a big disappointment-- the green is more "lawn" green than "forest" green, so thin you can see light through them, lots of lint as others have noted, and grey dust balls inside the package when I opened it!Save your money and don't buy this product. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Effortless Ironing Worth The Price
I love this iron and I am anti-ironing.I still don't iron everything but when I do need to iron something this does the job quickly and effortlessly.I absolutely love it.I also like that it may be used to steam a garment hanging.I have been using it for one year now and each time I use it I think I should iron more because it is actually enjoyable.HIGHLY RECOMMEND WITH ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS.LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Wow, this is a powerful iron!
So I had been reading the other reviews of this iron and because most people seemed to really like it, I thought I'd give it a try.At first, I was so worried that it would burn my clothes so I tried it on the medium setting and it worked okay, but nothing special. That is until I took it home for my mom to try.She cranked it up all the way then pressed and steamed right on the clothes and wow!It was amazing!I couldn't believe how fast she was able to iron the clothes. Here are my only issues:first, it's bulky and pricey. It also expels so much steam that the ironing board will actually be wet and collect water on the sides. The features and ease of use, however, outweigh the not so great stuff. I am thrilled that I bought it.Oh, and for any of you Project Runway fans (I'm a die-hard), I'm pretty sure I saw one of the designers using this model during one of the recent episodes.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fabulous iron for home use
I work in a fine retail clothing store.Because of old wiring we are limited on the type of irons we can use.We give irons extremely heavy use and have gone through 3 of these irons in 3 years so I don't recommend it for commercial use, but all of us would love to have one at home. Not only does it press well, vertical steaming is wonderful and the iron itself is very lightweight because the water is in the boiler rather than the iron.It can be refilled without having to cool off first. (The biggest advantage over their older model.)Do be sure to use tap or drinking water.Distilled is a real no-no.A nice hose system is included to clean out the boiler.Just do it regularly and don't let water sit in the boiler without use for long periods of time.We are currently using a commercial iron at work (Reliable brand) that works with our electric service. It is Italian and stainless steel and no problems after 8 months of use, but also cost $500 and much heavier to hold up during vertical steaming.Very nice but I'd take the Rowenta for home use any day. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Presto Pressure Cooker
We replaced an older Presto aluminum cooker with the stainless steel model. My wife and I received the old pressure cooker as a wedding gift in 1972.We used it three or four times a week for all those years since the wedding. It performed very well with only two seal replacements. We decided to get a new one simply because of the shiny new look.Buying Presto was the only choice after all those years of great service.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great cooking item
For the price - you can't beat it - when you don't want to turn on a hot oven during the hot summer days, this will save that and cook your delicious meals in a fraction of the time - very well built with no problems whatsoever

5-0 out of 5 stars stainless steel doesn't mean stainles-proof
CHEM 101: salt (NaCl) is bad for stainless steel.Under high pressure and high temperature, Cl ions erode stainless steel much faster then under regular condition.Try boil some high concentration salt water in a stainless steel stencil, if you want.

5-0 out of 5 stars Reliable Heater!
All in all this is a good heater!Easy to use (three buttons not counting the on/off).Heats quckly and has small openings on the front and sides so to keep out kids fingers and pets paws. Heats up my good sized room all around well. Not bright like other heaters so that you can't watch TV due to the brightness projected.
5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome heater!
This heater was recommended to me and I didn't believe it could be so great. But it is! Quietly circulates the air and really does keep the whole room a nice even temp. I think it's worth every single penny of it's price. Hard to understand how much better it is than other heaters until you have one and use it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent space heater for home office!
I obsessed about space heaters for a couple months, researched online, went to the specialty hardware store three times, and finally decided on this one.I have not been disappointed. With a home office, during the winter I didn't want to heat the whole house to keep warm in the office area. This heater has worked beautifully. It heats up quickly and is very quiet. For the summer months, I use a Vornado circulating fan.I'm very happy with both products from Vornado. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Wow!
I have a Circulon anodized aluminum non-stick dutch oven which I also like for it's own uses, but when it comes to slow simmering, to make meat fall off the bones, there is nothing that compares to cast iron.I cooked ribs in both dutch ovens once because I had too many to fit into one pot. They were both subject to the same conditions and cooking time. The ribs from Mario, were fabulous and fork tender. The Circulon ones were still chewy and tough. Mario won, hands down.
5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!
I just received this yesterday, and used it last night to make dinner. It's heavy, cooks evenly, and it's really nice to look at....dinner came out great. The only surprise was that in the photos on the site, it looks oval, but it is actually round (I'm sure it says this in the description, and I just missed it).I really wanted a certain very expensive brand of french oven, but this does the trick and is a lot easier on my budget.I would recommend this to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars A beautiful piece of cookware

5-0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Baking Sheets! Very Versatile
Well this is my 2nd time ordering a set of these baking sheets, my 1st set lasted for over 3 years of almost daily use and abuse! I also own Silpat brand, and I prefer the Matfer.I use these on my large bake sheet to reheat fried chicken, and well everything that goes into the oven basically (casserole exception), they have withstood tested heat of 500 with no sign of problem and wash is a breeze, and a helpful hint on drying, take a kitchen towel and lay flat then lay sheet on towel and roll tightly. You dry both sides at same time :)

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!
I've used this nonstick baking sheet and fell in love.Cookies just slide right off with just the slightest push, even when cookies are still piping hot! Using parchment I'd always have to wait a couple of minutes for the cookies to cool for them to maintain their shape.I've never had a problem with getting the grease off either.I only wish they would make them for all cookware pans!

2-0 out of 5 stars Weird smell, weird taste
As some other reviewers have mentioned, the sheet leaves a chemically taste and smell in your baked products -- it's nothing awful, but noticeable, and, to me, bothersome.I thought it would disappear after a few uses, but it never did.Yes, the surface of this baking sheet was easy to wipe clean, but after a few uses, the grease from the food started soaking into the sheet and leaving circles of grease which I just could not wash out.At the end of the day, I don't think this is that much better than using parchment. This product is overrated. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Loved it but now unhappy
I love that it is so easy to clean - just take it apart and put it in the dishwasher (especially since I hate washing dishes) but after only two washes in the dishwasher (on the top shelf even) the lettering has smudged so badly I can't read it anymore and I am unable to tell what temperature I have set the fryer for.It would be nice if they could come up with something more permanent.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
We used this item a few times at home. It gives out a terrible smell. We could not use it inside the house. Then we used it a couple of times in the backyard. However it is so inconvinient. Cleaning is also very difficult. We pretty much never use it anymore. It turned out to be another useless kitchen electronic.
1-0 out of 5 stars Wouldn't buy it again
Wanted this because of the way it lets you drain the oil so that the next time you use the fryer the oil is clean. That's the only good thing about it. I've had mine a few months now. The first time I used it and washed it , the writing came off the front so you can't tell where to turn the knob for the right temperature. The oil leaks out the bottom (even though I make sure it securely seated on the heating unit) and goes across the counter, can't pick it up to clean the oil up until it cools down. The handle on the basket won't stay locked and when you go to pick it up out of the fryer with the hot food in it, it comes unlocked. After burning my hand because of this, I decided to write this review. If I can find one I'll go back to using the Grandpappy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Hepa Air Cleaner
these hepa filters are reasonable unlike most air cleaner filters, work well and keep my room free of allergies and fresh.I am really pleased with how long they last, you only need to replace it once a year.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good quality at a great price.
I had looked at several different air purifiers, both in store and online, before finally choosing this one.I must say I am very pleased with my choice. The price was very reasonable and it definitly exceeded my expectations, considering all the many options in air purification.I noticed a huge difference in the quality of the air in my home the next day.I have always had trouble breathing when I sleep and always clearing my throat throughout the day and after having the air purifier running for just a few days, I have noticed these problems dissapear. It is also interesting watching how it senses things like vacuuming and burning candles polluting the air and adjusts its speed accordingly.Definitly a great buy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Investment- Does the job WELL....
I spent some time searching around, with my criteria being of course cost-effectiveness, low noise, and mostly the ability to clean the air effectively.I was initially under the impression that the replacement filters would save me a lot *(over previously systems I had owned), but that was not the most important selling point.I am now shopping for filters, and realizing that it is a two-step process... getting both the carbon screen and the entire filter. While I am shopping around for the best deal, I am planning to meanwhile just use the vacumn to prolong the life of the existing carbon screen and filter.... seems to be ok to do.I highly recommend this product.... 5-0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny of it
Have three cats and been searching for a small, efficient vacuum, cordless that really worked. No longer do I have to drag out the big vacuum and have the hassle of the cord and not be able to get in the small areas due to the bulkiness. The Shark is lightweight, powerful enough to vacuum up the debris, gets into corners, can be used on bare floors and carpets. Cat hair is a bit more complicated, requiring a brushing motion, but it really gets it off the furniture and cat bedding. It is super easy to clean and wish I'd known about it sooner.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works as good as the reviews here on Amazon
I owned an older Shark vacuum and had to put it to rest a few months ago. I was happy with its performance, but wanted a more powerful vacuum. Over the last few years I've acquired some dogs who like to ride in my car, but cleaning out the dog hair from cloth seats and floors was a real pain. I did a lot of research and decided on this hand-vac. I'm happy to report that after 4 months of hard vacuuming this product is living up to the good reviews here. I also use it around the office and home, but the car is where it gets its true workout. Would recommend to anyone looking for a strong powerful handvac.Just a warning - be sure that you dont accidentally throw the filter out when you are emptying it out!

5-0 out of 5 stars I PURCHASED ONE, THEN BOUGHT 3 MORE FOR GIFTS.
I HAVE USED DIFFERENT BRANDS OF DUST BUSTERS BUT THIS ONE BY FAR HAS OUT DONE THEM. THE BATTERY LASTS AND THE POWER IS VERY GOOD. ALSO SHIPPING WAS PROMPT. NOTHING ELSE I CAN ADD. ALL OVER VERY GOOD. THANK YOU, I SHALL RETURN. A.F. ISLAND PARK ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars This Teeny Tiny Pumpkin
is made in Thailand, not France as you would expect from a Le Creuset item. In the product description, it says, "Festive and fun. Welcome fall with the addition of these petite pumpkin casseroles to your set. Serve up individual servings of pumpkin soup or fill it with cinnamon for an added spice of life. Superior CAST IRON construction retains and distributes heat quickly and evenly. Limited lifetime warranty." This product is part of the Le Creuset stoneware line and IS NOT cast iron. The lid is not at all tight fitting, either. This casserole is very small. I know 12 oz isn't much, but I did think it would be big enough to hold at least enough food for an individual casserole serving. As a (very) proud owner of 16 pieces of Le Creuset, it saddens me to have to give this only 3 stars, but I had to deduct because of the poor fitting lid, it being made in Thailand, the incorrect product discription and the size. On the plus side, it is very cute! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Keep the bugs away from your next barbecue without resorting to unsafe insect sprays. Designed on the premise of a flyswatter, this handheld bug zapper is shaped like a tennis racket and kills insects on contact via an electric current when they touch the surface of the "net." The zapper operates on two AA batteries and, for safety, activates when you simultaneously press the two buttons on its handle. The bug zapper is safe for either indoor or outdoor use; however, people should exercise caution when the zapper is activated as it will cause a shock. Read more

  • Environmentally safe alternative to insect sprays
  • Current runs through zapper's net upon activation

5-0 out of 5 stars I bought 2 and will buy more
My wife hates bugs, and I bought this for her. But I liked it so much I ordered another one and will buy more for my parents. The best thing about Bug Zapper is that you don't have to deal with the 'bug juice' (if you swat them), and you don't need to wait for the bugs to land and wait for your swat. I even used it near a bee hive, and it was the best defense against them. A few cautions - 1) don't zap yourself, it's pretty painful, 2) don't hit metal objects, you'll see sparks flying (incl. some windows - "Low-E" windows have metallic coating), 3) you can't kill fruit flies with this zapper since it has horizontal bars that these small bugs pass through. However, you can find double or triple meshed version on ebay or sharper image if you have the urge to kill all sizes of bugs. 4) some big bugs need extended roasting - I've seen a few biggies come back to life after a brief coma.
5-0 out of 5 stars This is the one to get!Don't get the newer "safety" model!
This thing is awesome.A bit cheaply made, but hey, what do you expect for under $8?
5-0 out of 5 stars Efficient and easy to use
This product works great. Mosquitos are grilled immediately and it works on bigger bugs too. The frame is made of plastic and not very sturdy but I have had it for a couple of months and I am very happy with the performance, and so do my kids! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Very pleased
I am very pleased with this Convection Oven.It cooks fast and thorough and I enjoy the warmer feature.Toasting also works very well. The only negative comment I have is the cleaning of the warmer part is a bit challenging, but this is a minimal inconvenience.Overall, I would definitley recommend this to anyone looking for a qualtiy Toaster Oven.

5-0 out of 5 stars 1/2 Toaster, 1/2 Oven
Very good buy for $85 +free ship. Bought this one to replace a smaller Black & Decker toaster oven that served us very well over 5-6 years until controls gave out (the B&D still works, just have to keep the button pressed in).
2-0 out of 5 stars Good oven, but controls gave out
We like the features and performance of this oven quite a bit.We bought it to replace a regular old toaster oven. The T-Fal toasts very evenly and I can fit a whole frozen pizza in it!

1-0 out of 5 stars NO SUCTION and terrible customer service
I used my Hoover Agility for the first time and the suction quit after 5 minutes. I followed all the trouble shooting instructions and it still didn't work. I called Hoover and spoke with a rep who was basically reading out of the manual. I sat on hold for 21 minutes only to hear a manager tell me that they cannot give out technical information because it's against their policy. I guess this is to ensure their Hoover service centers get the business. I'm returning the Hoover and NEVER purchasing a Hoover again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works really well
I've used the Hoover F6215-900 two times now, and both experiences have been excellent. My carpet is very long, and very thick so I was worried that the unit would clog or not be effective. This has not been the case. Each time I emptied out the "used" water container it was nice and dark, reaffirming its doing its job.The carpet dried in under 24 hours and felt like new.
5-0 out of 5 stars It works wonders
I have 3 small children and I use this about once a week. It has gotten out every body fulid known to man. Not to mention all the spilled drinks and food on the floor. I love it. I have had it for over a year now and I have had no problems whatsoever. My Grandma even wants to get one because she saw how well it worked. I would recomend this to anyone. ... Read more

Editorial Review

These four cutting boards are made of a unique material that is cropping up more and more in kitchenware these days—FDA-approved, food-grade silicone. Ideal for use in smaller kitchens, these boards are flexible and can be rolled up to fit in any drawer. In addition, they have a non-skid backing to secure them onto any work surface that happens to be available. The heavy-grade silicone stands up to even the sharpest knives so you aren’t able to cut through the boards. For hygiene, the boards are color-coded to remind you to use a particular color for each food you prepare: green is for cutting vegetables, red is for meat, orange is for poultry, and blue is for fish. The boards are all nonporous and won’t retain the odors or flavors of your food. SiliconeZone’s revolutionary kitchenware is dishwasher-safe and is covered by a lifetime guarantee. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good but mine came off-color
Love the functionality - being able to separate for different uses esp. meat and that they flex to enable direct frop into the pan. But mine came off color (sorta transparent) at the corners (and this wasn't a deisgn feaure since there was no pattern in all the four sheets) but still good value - not worth exchanging so I kept them. I guess mine look unique.

5-0 out of 5 stars These guys are the gem of the kitchen
These are now my favorite cutting boards. You can separate the various things you want to cut and they clean up quickly in the sink or dishwasher. They lie flat so you can use them on any surface and the surface is protected.
5-0 out of 5 stars I will be buying these as presents for all of my family!
I am not sure how I got along without these. The fact that they fit into the dishwasher is a huge selling point. The color coding for food type is simple, yet brilliant. The non-skid feature is an excellent addition to an already perfect product.

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have in the kitchen
I love this product! This is my second FoodSaver I've had in the last 4 years. The first one stopped working properly after 3 years so I purchased this one and I LOVE IT!I recommend this FoodSaver to all my friends and those who have bought it like it too.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product
I had been wanting to purchase a food saver for over a year, so I finally decided to go with this model since it matched my kitchen. With the $25 discount from amazon and free shipping I got a really good deal. The only thing I have found wrong with this product is the guides that hold the suction line for storage will not stay on. A small drop of super glue solved this problem for both, therefore I rate this product as a five star.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best One Yet
I own a previous model which is still working good after 10 years plus.I was glad to see much improvements with the new one. This item should be on your got to have list.I can't live with out it. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Great for the kitchen, workout room, or home shop, this small digital clock/timer is useful in counting down cooking time, timing circuit training exercises, or tracking paint or wood glue drying time. No bigger than the palm of a hand, the timer is magnetized to stick to a refrigerator or stovetop or, alternatively, hangs via a clip or mounts onto a table with its wire stand. The large 0.7-inch LCD screen is easy to read and displays the current time in hours and minutes. When set for timing, the instrument displays in minutes and seconds and times up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds, which is ideal for monitoring cook times on dishes that require slow cooking, such as braised meats. The timer counts either up or down and emits a beeping noise when time has elapsed, which is easily turned off by pressing the Start/Stop button. The timer runs on a single AAA battery (included), and Taylor ensures complete accuracy in its readings through a one-year limited warranty. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars For the price, nothing beats it
Ok, I've owned this timer for about 2 years now. My daughter dropped it, actually, let me rephrase that, THREW it on the floor numerous times from her highchair.
1-0 out of 5 stars bad quality
It's bad quality because the the protective tape on the display cannot be removed and the battery cover at the back cannot be pushed in its proper place. It is also not easy to use. Resetting the timer is too much trouble, you have to go over all the way until you reach 99 minutes and start from 0 to set new minutes.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good enough
It does its job, it was designed for. The only bad thing is , on the front of the package it said it had a clock feature, I can't figure out how to use this feature. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good mixer for light use
The mixer is good for doing an occasional bread recipe, and for other light tasks like whipping cream, mixing mashed potatoes, etc, but if you use it to make heavy or dry breads on a regular basis it isn't suitable. When I first received the machine I loved it.I liked the high quality metal construction, the provided attachments, and the reputation of the KitchenAid name.
4-0 out of 5 stars Love it!!!!
I love my kitchenaid, I have made, bread, cakes, cookies you name it.I can't stop using it since I got it, so why the 4 stars instead of 5 you might ask, well the reason why I am giving it only 4 stars is because everytime I make bread the bowl gets stuck in the base of the machine and it is super tough to get it out for cleaning, since it does not have a handle you can't get a good grip.I'll end up buying a bowl with a handle for bread making purposes but I wish all of the bowls had handles on them.Other than that the machine is wonderful, strong and I am sure it will last a very long time.
5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE my kitchenaid
I LOVE my kitchenaid. It has made everything easier from shredded cheese to cutting veggies and grinding meat.It also makes the lightest and most fluffy chocolate chip cookies anyone could hope for.Powerful but not real loud, I was raised with this machine and then I bought my own.My Grandmother used it to make her bread and now I do too. There isn't much it can't do.Make sure to get the accessories, because you will use them.Durable in a variety of sizes and colors, this is a must have for any kitchen. I have had mine for several years without a problem and my Grandma has had hers for a long long time (almost since she was married) and the same, no problems. ... Read more
