Four cutting blades whirl at differentlevels for thorough work. KitchenAid's "step-start" featureautomatically begins a process slowly to prevent splatters and quicklyincreases speed to the level selected on the touchpad control panel. The blender has a 40-ounce, dishwasher-safe, glass jar with adrip-resistant pouring lip and a tight-fitting top. Removing the capcreates an opening for adding ingredients, and the cap is a 2-ouncemeasuring container.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good Blender for the price
I make smoothies nearly every morning and the occasional party drinks (Margs, Coladas, etc.). I had been using a basic Oster blender that I purchased from, I think, Target in college over 5 years ago. It got the job done, it was just VERY loud and I was always having to stick a spoon down in it to break up "ice jams". So I figured it was time for an upgrade. I was hesitant to buy this machine because it was refurbished and didn't want someone's nasty used goods on my kitchen counter. I've also noticed that KitchenAid stuff is very hit-or-miss with the quality. Some items such as my pancake griddle and kitchen tools (can opener, mixing spoons, spatulas, etc) are excellent. Other items like the hand food chopper and the vegetable and apple multi-slicer just plain SUCK! So, I took the gamble. My refurbished blender came yesterday and was in good, not excellent, condition. Some of the Styrofoam had rubbed off on the lid so much that I cannot get all of it off. Also the base was a little scuffy, but overall it was in good shape for the price. I used it this morning for the first time, after washing it, to make a smoothie. It worked pretty good.It took a lot longer than I had hoped to actually blend everything evenly. I did notice that it didn't get rid of ice chunks as well as it should. However, it was SO quiet! Even on the highest pulse speed, it was so quiet. Maybe I'm comparing it to the Oster I have been using which is almost mind-numbing, even for me in the morning when my mind is already numb. Overall for the price, it's a decent blender, but nothing to really go crazy over.
1-0 out of 5 stars Not well refurbished
We received this quickly and it looked great, felt heavy and substantial etc.The first time I used it I noticed that mango was not very well blended - a mango!Hardly the toughest of fruits to blend when mixed with orange juice and a banana! The second time we used it the ball bearings seemed to stop working and the whole thing is just unusable. We will be returning this pronto and feel that we've wasted too much time on this product. It's just too much of a lottery with refurbished.I'm glad that some people got one that was properly fixed. This one was not, and I hope that some other sucker doesn't wind up with it when we return it!

4-0 out of 5 stars good little blender
I gave this blender 4 stars because it's practically perfect. It's compact enough to fit easily under my overhead cabinets. The other thing I really like is that it's so very easy to clean. The base is all smooth and you just wipe it off. No cracks or crevices to collect stuff. The only problem with this blender is that it always leaves a few small lumps of something, ice cubes or fruit. It's not a big deal and I'd love it if it blended perfectly. After other blenders I've had, the good qualities of this one more then make up for it's one downfall. Otherwise it blends quietly and very efficiently.I like the glass container, don't like the plastic ones that seem to scratch and get crummy looking. this is one of the bestblenders I've ever owned and I got it at a great price. No problems at all with it being refurbished. It was packed up like it was brand new. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Really Bad Product...Ugh
Horrid, bitter, watery waste of money. I have tried these 5 times now. I am stuck with a quantity and just keep hoping it will somehow get better. No. I am reminded each time how bad it was the time before. There just is no body at all! Colored water with no flavor.
4-0 out of 5 stars better than they say
these aren't bad unless you make them the wrong way. using the 2-cup brew button makes terrible coffee.
2-0 out of 5 stars Not good!
I have tried almost all of the Senseo flavors now, and I have to say that the Cappuccino may be the worst. The flavor is very bitter. Not that I would expect an actual cappuccino to come out of my Senseo machine, but I thought it would at least taste okay. It does have a nice, smooth texture, but I just can't enjoy the taste. Also, the pods tend to leave behind a little mess with some of the cream that leaks out and they leave a lot more water in the holder than normal pods do. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect Small Room Heater!
I bought this heater after seeing how highly rated it is- and you guys were right! This is the best little heater ever.I bought it to keep me warm in the bathroom (I have one of those awful new house designs where the master bathroom is completely open to the master bedroom.)It works great.Gets very hot or just warm thanks to the dial. The only down side is that there is no off switch- but it is just as easy to pull the cord out of the wall as it is to turn a switch off!Portable and can be taken from room to room in one hand.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Heater for Office or Bath Room!
I love this heater. I use it all the time at work and it keeps me warm and toasty. I love that it has a dial so that if you get too hot you can turn it down. It heats up super quick and turns itself on and off to keep the right temperature. Its nice and small and has a nice look to it too.I like it so much that I'm buying another one to keep my bathroom warm for when I take showers.Oh, and for the people that say there is no on/off switch, you just turn the dial all the way down to turn it off. The light stays on, but the heater will not come on if you have the dial all the way down. Trust me, I have it plugged in at work all the time.

4-0 out of 5 stars ultra portable, fast heat !!
We ordered it urgently since our living room was getting cooler.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cusinart, good quality
This is my second DLC-10.The only reason for replacement is because the bowl cracked and it became cost effective to just make a machine rerplacement.I have all the disks and such and like the machine very much as I have had it for 20 years.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW
I have been using a Hamilton Beach processor for the past few years because it was a gift and I didn't want to spend the money to buy my own. Am I glad I did! There's a reason everyone uses the word Cuisinart when referring to a food processor. No one else should even try to produce one. In the case of this food processor, it comes down to that old saying: "you get what you pay for." You have to spend a little more money but you get a lot more product!

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect Size & Price
Didn't want a huge food processor at a huge price and this one is just right.Love the accessories that are included.Runs smoothly and quietly and is easy to use and clean.

5-0 out of 5 stars A fast, great cup of coffee
This is a simple, inexpensive coffee maker that makes excellent coffee. With all the usual nods to dribbles and fragility, I've had one for about 10 years and am about to order another one (nothing lasts forever these days).

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't hate this becaue it's cheap!
I had to overcome the fact that this is such a cheap coffee maker.I mean, I LOVE coffee therefore I can justify spending more on a coffee maker! But it's just SO not necessary!

Washing and drying leafy vegetables has never been simpler or more fun than with this gadget. One hand is all you need to press the soft, cushioned knob to start the spinning; when the built-in brake is applied and the job is done, the basket and bowl can be taken apart and used separately. The knob locks down for easy storage, and the spinner is dishwasher-safe. Use this tool with lettuce, raw spinach, broad-leafed herbs, and greens--they end up clean and oh-so-dry, and the drier your leaves, the better salad dressings will adhere and the less mushy your sandwich bread will become. Puddles at the bottom of your salad bowl disappear... Good Grips products are moderately priced and have won the Tylenol/Arthritis Foundation Design Award. Read more

Features

  • Fun, simple operation requires only one hand
  • Nonslip knob is soft and cushioned; brake button stops spinning with a fingertip
  • Great for washing and drying lettuce, herbs, greens
  • Plunge-style knob locks down for easy storage
  • Dishwasher-safe on top rack

3-0 out of 5 stars Worked fine...for a while
This worked pretty well for me 2-3 times a week for 18 months. Then the plunger used to spin the inner colander started jamming and finally couldn't get unstuck.I still use parts of this as a bowl and colander.Still, I would expect this to last a little longer.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Best
Easy to use, very effective and great looking. I've tried the others - string pulled and cranked - and this is simply the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dont forget the seasoning
This is a great product that has cooked everything without any hassle or frustration. The only thing I recommend to all others is to season the food before you throw it in the Foreman because this will take your lacking culinary skills to the next level.

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappearing Non-stick Coating
This is my second GF grill.I had a different model for over a year. The GRP90WGR suffers from the same problem as the first one I owned. The non-stick coating is really poor.It doesn't last very long, even with careful cleaning. My new grill has been used under ten times and the coating is disappearing from high spots in the grill surface even though I only use a soft sponge to clean it.In all other respects, this is a well-designed appliance.

5-0 out of 5 stars great product at an excellent price

5-0 out of 5 stars All around excellent oven
I purchased this oven to replace my toaster and to use in place of my large convection oven for daily cooking. So far I have made lamb, steak, and BBQ chicken. All of the meats came out beautifully cooked and moist and tender on the inside. I broil the meats following the cooking times in the Betty Crocker's New Cookbook. Additionally, I made a bagel, which I put sliced side up, increased the darkness by two levels, and used the bagel feature. It came out perfectly and evenly golden brown, better than my previous Russell Hobbs toaster. I do agree with other reviewers that it would be nice to have the option to have it turn off when the timer runs out.Overall, highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOL at the bad toaster comments
Doesn't anybody remember the good ole days of using a toaster oven? They're not SUPPOSED to toast on both sides! I'm sorry, but I'm laughing out loud at the folks who've posted comments about this toaster oven not being good because it doesn't toast on both sides. This is a "toaster oven", not a "toaster". Hello!? If you want your toast toasted on both sides, then buy a toaster. lol. What a toaster oven does, is toast the top of things, and it warms things like frozen pizzas, pot pies, casseroles, etc. I've never actually baked anything in one, so can't comment on its baking ability. But this is a good toaster oven...if you use it for its intended purpose. :)

5-0 out of 5 stars I absolutely LOVE this
I'm single and live in a small apartment. I don't like to crank up the oven because preheating takes a good 10-15 minutes, and cooldown just as long. And then there's the fact that it heats up the entire place. Not fun in summer in the South!

5-0 out of 5 stars Chef's choice
I recieved my sharpening station on time as scheduled and once I found some time to set it up, I proceeded in testing.I first read through a few of the other reviews on line, then got out my Henkels knife set.At first it was a bit tricky getting the knife to obtain a burr, but once I got the technique down, it was smoothing "slicing" from there.VERY SHARP!Better edge then ever before.I'm sure it will pay for itself in no time saving on taking the knifes out to be sharpened

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product
I got one of these as a gift, and couldn't be happier with it.I am a knife nut, and have always kept my kitchen knives very sharp. But this sharpener now has them almost razor sharp.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW
It is a kind of entertainment to watch how this relatively small machine pops popcorn. it is very funny and the final result is super delicious. I didn't have any problems so far and I am very glad that I found this popcorn popper. My wife and I like to use it very often. Recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOW! This machine is amazing!!
If you have one of those hot air popcorn poppers, better get rid of it and buy this one! No more putting in popcorn and having it blow back out into the bowl, no more having to fight a warped lid! This machine works very well! I made 2 quarts of popcorn and had a total of three unpopped kernels in the bottom of the bowl when I was done, and two half popped kernels. Beat that you roaring-warped-lid-hot-air-popper! This machine is silent (aside from the popping corn) This popcorn popper DOES require you use a little oil to pop the corn. For 2 quarts of popcorn (1/3 cup of kernels) you need 1 TBSP of oil, which is almost next to nothing. It pops fast and does a thorough job of it. The popcorn I used was NOT gourmet popcorn or any fancy, expensive brand. It was ordinary no-name bulk popcorn from a large bulk food store around here. I recommend this popcorn popper!

4-0 out of 5 stars The kids loved it!
This is a fun and a bit of a nostalgic gift I received from a friend of mine for Christmas last year. She purchased it here on amazon.com and then sent me the link.

Editorial Review

No more worrying about overheating or starting a fire, a ceramic thermal cut-off mechanism shuts the heater down if it's accidentally tipped over or covered with curtains, blankets etc. A dual heat-flow setting makes it easy to regulate. Choose the "hi" setting for 1500 watts or the "lo" setting for 750 watts. And, an adjustable thermostat helps fine-tune temperatures and conserve energy. When winter is over, the fan operates without heat for summer cooling. A built-in handle and wide solid base ensures optimal stability and convenient portability. And, this quiet operator is perfect for any room in the house. An anti-freeze setting automatically turns on the heater when the temperature reaches 44 degrees Fahrenheit. 5-0 out of 5 stars Reliable low cost heater
Very reliable and low cost heater fan for use in a small area. Been using it for 2 years with no problems.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best $20 spent
Best 20$ I've ever spent. It does have some flaws as stated previously in other reviews, the knobs are hard to read but I've found that I use it so much that I really don't need to be able to see it anymore. The thermometer seems stable, I never have a problem with it getting too hot in the winter, and it manages to heat my efficiency apartment very well. The cord is 'regular' length so it's not tiny and I don't need an extension cord. Over all on a students budget I've definitely found a winner.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cold office, warm hands
I love this heater. It's extremely quiet. It has to be, since it sits on my desk facing the left side of my keyboard, keeping my hands nice and warm.

4-0 out of 5 stars works good
I have had this for almost a year, and for the money I cannot recommend a better product. I would buy another.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Value
What a bargain, this is a great thermometer and the push button power switch is so easy to use; my other one had a tiny little switch that was so hard to work.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not Accurate and Potentially Dangerous
From the start, it was apparent that the temperature displayed was 5 or 6 degrees higher than two other digital thermometers I had in the same room.So I followed the calibration instructions and was only able to get the display to read 34.1 degrees in a 32 degree solution... ok, so I can live with 2.1 degree inaccuracy. After calibrating, the room temperature was also only off by about 2 degrees. However, I decided to test it in boiling water and the display read 193 degrees (water boils at 212F).So, If you are counting on this thermometer to tell you anything important (such as if your meat is cooked suffiently or if your beer water is the right temperature for steeping), I would make sure it is accurate at the temperature of interest before using... or avoid it all together, which I wish I had done. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding product
I purchased the Lodge Logic 10-1/2 inch skillet ($9.63) and a 5 quart Dutch oven ($29.99). The order confirmation was received within a few minutes. Eight hours later another notification was received stating that the skillet had been shipped and the oven was backordered. Both were classified as "Free Shipping" items...no way. A package was delivered by UPS in three days. It was rather large and I thought my spouse made a purchase. The box was opened. It contained another box bubble wrapped. The second box was opened and it contained the skillet...again, bubble wrapped. The skillet was in perfect condition...no irregular pre-seasoning patterns at all. Four days later the oven and lid (fits the skillet too) arrived...same scenario. I have used both and am delighted with the quality of Lodge products. A few minor small pitmarks are on the bottom of each, but that goes along with sand casting iron. Kinda adds a bit of frontier flavor to my new goodies. They are basically non-stick and clean easily if you follow the enclosed instructions. Cooking with cast iron products is delightful....slow, even and predictable.
5-0 out of 5 stars Sold on Cast Iron - Easy and Good Results
I used to think that the best cookware is anodized aluminum Calphalon with the most advanced non-stick surface.Well, there still is a place for those expen$ive pans, but old-fashioned cast-iron cookware is now my favorite.
2-0 out of 5 stars Just got it, but handle Too Small!
I used to own a Cast Iron skillet that I seasoned myself. When I left the co-op college house I was in, someone asked if they could have the skillet. I let them have it. But recently, I have been using all Teflon coated pans, and after reading/hearing all of the potential problems Teflon can cause, I decided to try a cast iron skillet again.

Editorial Review

Wake up and smell the coffee--not just freshly brewed coffee but freshly ground coffee for full-bodied flavor. This coffeemaker does everything but serve a steaming cup on a silver tray. For the full experience, here's how it goes: pour water into reservoir (a window gauge shows the desired level up to 10 cups); spoon roasted coffee beans into permanent stainless-steel filter basket (no disposable filters needed); program mill to grind beans as you wish (seven settings, from fine to coarse); set clock to current time of day; program timer to begin automatic grinding and brewing process at the hour and minute you wish; sleep like a baby; savor coffee precisely as you like it when you awake. Ground coffee can be used instead of whole beans, and the whole coffee-making process can be initiated instantly without setting the timer. Other attributes: dripping ceases when the tempered-glass carafe is removed from the nonstick warming plate; shutting down is automatic after one hour to prevent damage; cord stores in the rear of the unit. This is a thoroughly modern coffeemaker, suitable for people who take coffee seriously but crave convenience. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for the Price
I studied and researched for a long time on the grind and brew makers.Melitta was by far the least expensive and has really pretty good reviews from others.I have used this machine almost every day since last December (10 months now) and have never had one single problem. I use the timer mode and that is what I wake up to every morning.I am a light sleeper so I don't even set the alarm. I wake up when I hear the machine start to grind and wait a few minutes to get out of bed and go out to the kitchen and voila, it is done and fresh and wonderful. This is my first review I put on Amazon because I felt so strongly about this great machine.

3-0 out of 5 stars Weak Cold Coffee
I read all the reviews here on Amazon and thought this was the coffeemaker to buy. Most of all I wanted a coffeemaker that had a brewing tempature of 195 to 205. This is needed to fully extract all the oils and flavor from the bean. I was disappointed when the pot arrived and I brewed the first cup. The coffee was tepid at best. I knew the brewing temp was too low. I then checked the water coming out of the brewer and it was only 175 degrees. I have to microwave every cup to get hot enough to drink. The coffee is also very weak and I have to add extra beans to get any flavor. One trick I did find is to wait for the beans to grind and stop the brewer. Then I remove the brew basket and shake it to get all the grinds to go to the bottom of the basket. This seemed to make the coffee stronger. Oh well, back to the search for a hot coffeemaker

1-0 out of 5 stars Fundamental Design Flaw
I have been buying coffeemakers for a couple of decades and purchased a Melitta a few years ago.

4-0 out of 5 stars Works just like more reviewers said it does
I had one of those Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman moments this morning. My wife and I were rushing to get ready to go to the birthday party of a toddler, and a tiny can of Coke balanced on a shelf fell to the floor and exploded without any of us hearing it in our open kitchen pantry.
4-0 out of 5 stars It's great!
I received my Floormate yesterday and it's great! It was easy to assemble and easy to use!I'm so happy to get rid of brooms and mops! The only reason that it got 4 stars is that I found it to be a bit heavy.I'm a petite girl and I found it a bit heavy, but other than that, it's perfect!

5-0 out of 5 stars No more scrubbing on my hands and knees -
I know one reviewer wrote that nothing replaces scrubbing on the hands and knees - but I'm thinking this does it for my house.Once a month, I regularly scrubbed with my bucket and scrub brush - yet within weeks, if something were to spill on the floor and I wiped it up with a papertowel - there would be black on the towel from dirt on the tile floor.I also mopped daily with one of those clorox mops - but it just didn't do it.With 4 young kids, a spotless kitchen is not in their vocabulary. They paint in my kitchen, do arts and crafts, including glue and sparkly things, plus I have a husband who doesn't know the first thing about cleaning up after himself in the kitchen.Add to that the pool that is open and inviting to all the kids friends every summer, and you get lots of little feet tramping across the floor. This floor cleaner is awesome - you can vacuum with it - but I prefer to vacuum my kitchen floor with the rest of the house, and use my Dyson. Then, a simple fill up from the hot water tap and some cleaner (look for my review online about the cleaner - do NOT buy it in the stores) and you're off.The first couple times I cleaned, I moved slowly, and got off dirt that was ground into the grout that I'd never bothered to pick out.Even dried playdooh came right off. After that first week - I realized that the soles of my feet were no longer turning black.AFter 2 weeks of use (I used it every 3 days at first) I let the kids wear their white socks in the house again.Amazing.I still haven't used it in the bathrooms to see how all the attachments work - but for what it can do in the kitchen alone - it was well worth the money. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Works Great
I got this as a gift. I have three kids, a dog and live in government quarters that require us to leave the carpet looking new (they even black light you upon checking out.) This product is a life saver. I haven't had any problems with spraying. It does leave crop circles, but does get all the stains out, then when I get the big steam cleaner out when I do that once a quarter cleaning, it all blends together. It is a great product that saves me time, energy and hopefully when we check out next year some dollars.

1-0 out of 5 stars I'd give it 0 stars if that was possible
This thing stinks. And I did not even get it going. The priming problem is real. What a pain. How do corporations get away with this?Because consumers allow them to!I mean, look at all the problems in these reviews with priming, and so many people say, "But, gee, I finally got it working."I mean, is that a standard to aspire to?
2-0 out of 5 stars Leaves spots of its own
While the Spotbot is good at removing all types of stains on the carpet, you'll find yourself left with even more noticeable patches on your carpet. We've had our Spotbot for about six months.Unfortunately every time we use it it does something to the carpet which causes dirty patches to form much faster. Now we've got loads of circles on our carpet which are very evident to visitors. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic meat grinder if you have the Kitchenaid mixer
Even if you never thought you wanted to grind meat yourself, you should consider getting this.Anyone who has traveled to Europe can tell you that we Americans have been getting fed the most flavorless sausage in the world. But, it doesn't have to be that way.You can find recipes and casings online and make them yourself. To make sausage, you will also need the sausage stuffer for the Kitchenaid stand mixer. We have also discovered that grinding your own meat for hamburgers makes for more of a difference than you would think (hint: check out Alton Brown's hamburger recipe on foodtv.com).

for home kitchen it is great. Fasy to keep clean and a real treasure.
