3-0 out of 5 stars Hey, you get what you pay for.
I shopped around quite a bit online for a cheap, but decent knife set.I have a mixed set of decent knives, but I wanted something that matched (call me vain). These DID fit the bill: they're cheap (I picked them up for around 80 during a Friday sale), sharp, and all match.
3-0 out of 5 stars Sharp but a little light
I was really excited about ordering these knives.I ordered them and they even arrived a couple days early. Thanks Amazon. However, I tore into the box and I have to say I am a little disappointed. The knives are sharp and the "vault" is pretty cool.My biggest complaint is that the knives feel very light. They do not have the heavy feel that other high end knives have. The handles on this set are hollow and "ping" if you accidently hit them on something.I have given three stars because they are sharp and I still think they are decent knives for the money.I just want to set the expectation of a light feel.If the weight of the knives is not an issue for you then I recommend you buy these knives. If you are like me and want to know you are holding something then I would keep looking for another set.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent and highly recommended!
I like this cutlery set very much. So many friends asked me about them because they do get noticed. They are light and sharp, and the design is super. I think that they make a great contribution to a modern kitchen. Recommended. ... Read more

Combining long-lasting brushed stainless steel with an elegant design, this 10-cup coffee maker features a double-wall vacuum-insulated thermal carafe and a flavor-sealing brew-through lid that keeps freshly brewed coffee hot for hours. Its exclusive, filter basket-release button makes it simple to remove the basket and conveniently place it on the countertop for easy filling or cleaning. 2-0 out of 5 stars Let down for a Braun believer!
First, a little history... My coffeemakers have been as follows:
2-0 out of 5 stars Shut-off time confusion in many reviews
First, there really is no problem at all with the 17 minute shutoff when it comes to keeping coffee hot. This model has no heater whatsoever in its base as some people apparently expect--the carafe is supposed to keep the coffee hot without an external heater. The 17 minute shutoff is strictly for added safety. Should the brewing thermostat be stuck in the "on" position after all the water had passed up into the basket, the shutoff would prevent that heater from melting down and causing a fire. Our unit brews completely within 5 minutes tops, so 17 minutes is more than adequate.
3-0 out of 5 stars An okay coffee maker, less than expected
The on button does not stay "on" for long. The coffee ends up getting cold in the thermal carafe, which really isn't that thermal.Looks nice, but doesn't function great. The taste of the coffee is okay though, when it is hot.The Brita filters that come with the coffee maker are, in my experience, hard to find.In ordering them on Amazon, there was a three week wait for them.Keep this in mind as the filters only have a two month lifespan. ... The Tempo WidePath features a 15-inch cleaning path for super fast vacuuming when you need it the most. 4-0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive and Works Fine
Our 6-year old Panasonic died (motor armature burned out) and we replaced it with this Hoover.Weight and performance are comperable to the old Panasonic ($160 new) and it's an incredible bargain at $60.I am giving it only 4 stars because although it's about as loud as the Panasonic, the sound is higher-pitched and is, to my ears, more annoying. No problems so far after 6 weeks of use.

4-0 out of 5 stars CLEAN THE FILTERS!!!!
I was just about to write a review detailing how this vacuum worked great at the start and after a week it stinks. The thing is, this cleaner is so strong that the first day I had to empty the bagless bin four times. There was such a build up of dirt that all 3 filters, and the area with the rotating brushes were completely clogged with dust and hair. The hand hose didn't suck anymore, and I wasn't sure if it ever did.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great for any home
I've had experience with quite a few vacuums (kirby, dirt devil, generic pieces of crap, etc), and this one is the best so far.Suction is great, it's powerful and does get to those corners well.I actually like where the on/off button is, it's really easy for me to reach.I've only had it about 2 months, but I have nothing but praises for it.It's quite light, which is good for smaller folks like me who can't lift 100 ton vacuums.Assembly instructions were easy and quick, and I feel like I could quickly and effectively change or fix the belt should it ever break or malfunction (which it hasn't so far).Overall, it does a great job, just as good as any other bagged vaccuum, in my opinion.I hope this review helps someone because the previous ones helped me to pick this product. Thanks! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Hoover’s latest canister stands out for its design-savvy looks, not to mention the fact that it cleans with powerful WindTunnel technology. Dirt particles are cleverly ducted away from the spinning agitators to ensure they’re captured in the bagless dirt cup and not sent back out onto the carpet. The HEPA filter traps minute allergen particles and conveniently removes for cleaning. Large, soft wheels allow the compact 12-amp vacuum--which looks like it could play a robot extra in Star Wars--to maneuver easily. Best of all, the handgrip features electronic control buttons for power on and off, variable suction (allowing smooth transition from wood floors to area rugs), and agitator action speed for carpets. Tools are easily attached to the telescoping wand, making it a snap to switch from cleaning floors to using drape and upholstery tools. A one-year warranty covers this unique vacuum against defects. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Gr8 Little Vacuum
I just received my Hoover and tried it out.Was amazed at how much dirt it picked up!I thought my old Eureka was great, but this little guy picked up more dirt than my Eureka did in a month. Will take a bit getting used to it, but I'm already very happy with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best vaccum ever!!!! I've owned two!!!
I bought this vaccum two years ago from Best Buy for $400,after much research and consideration. It is the only vaccum I've had that can clean every room and under beds with out alot of heartache. It is so powerful it will suck toys and clothes out from under beds, and pick up dog food with no problem. I LOVE it! A piece broke on one of my attachments, and Best Buy made me bring in the whole vaccum to do the repair. They said it cost to much to fix and assumed I'd take a store credit or trade. They then proceeded to throw my vaccum away without asking me if I wanted to do an exchange. Anyways, they carried nothing close to comparable to my vaccum, and so they ended up giving me a full refund, so I could buy another one. I bought this one two weeks ago and it is identicle to the other. I STILL LOVE IT!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great purchase
In the market for a new vacuum I did alot of research and settled on the windtunnel.I really wanted a canister and for the price and the reviews this seemed like the best deal.I am very happy with the purchase.I have 4 cats and I don't think my house was ever this clean.I love having no bags.I love the fact it's a canister (I previously owned the windtunnel upright). The suction is amazing. The cleaning tool for furniture is the first thing I have ever found to actually effectively clean cat hair off of fabric furniture. This is a great vacuum! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Cheap Hot Water
This is a phenomenal price for an electric kettle. The lid doesn't seat so tightly, and it doesn't feel terribly robust, but for the cost, this will make tea and instant coffee in your office, dorm or home. We even heat up spagetti boiling water in it to speed it along the way (pouring it into the spaghetti pot to get a head start.)

This appealing blender looks great, with a rounded triangularshape that marries form and function. It pours perfectly and cleansbeautifully, but what we noticed first was the terrific grip on thehandle: firm and comfortable, like a great handshake. The lid is alsowell designed, sealing easily and snugly, with tiny rubber tipsattached on three sides to facilitate a smooth release and opening. This blender packs a lot of power, puréeing in seconds andturning eggs and oil into mayonnaise in fewer than two minutes. Fivespeeds let you whip up everything from chunky salsa to velvety soups;there's also a pulse mode when you need an extra surge to add solids orgive something one last stir. 1-0 out of 5 stars Defective and Impossible to Return
As mentioned by other reviewers, the gear at the base of the blender (which drives the blade) is made of plastic, and the teeth break off easily.I owned this product for 6 months, only making my daily smoothie and my son's protien shake, and three of the six gear teeth broke off.The major problem is this, however -- the blender is virtually impossible to return unless you live close to one of the "authorized" repair shops that Braun has listed on their website. You can't return it to Amazon after 30 days, and Braun will only repair or replace defective items through their difficult-to-find repair sites.Don't waste your money on this one.

1-0 out of 5 stars High expectations, disappointing results
We purchased this blender because it was rated a Consumer Reports Best Buy.However, about 30 seconds into its very first use (making a simple smoothie), it started emitting a HORRIBLE, burning plastic sort of smell that quickly filled the kitchen. I wasn't terribly impressed with the blender's power either, as it didn't seem like a significant improvement over the cheap Oster it's replacing. As mentioned by some other reviewers, the jug design is not ideal for pouring, and seems to promote drips. On a positive note, I do appreciate the fact that everything (except the base, of course) is dishwasher safe.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I bought this blender (like other reviewers) based on consumer reports recommendation.I had it only 6 months. The plastic gears have stripped twice, and the teeth on the bottom of the jar have broken too. This is a cheaply made blender, which worked OK for smoothies, but I would not recommend it over any other cheap blender. I had the blender repaired under warranty the first time, but won't waste my time now that it broke again.Save your money. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great purifier - very quiet
Almost perfect...lacks the last star only because the cord is way too short (what were they THINKING?!).
4-0 out of 5 stars Does it's job
I get a decently clogged nose while I sleep that causes me to wake up and clear it once or twice a night. I got tired of that, but didn't like the option of using nasal steroids (i.e. Flonase) everyday for the rest of my life, so I decided (after some research) to get this hepa filter. I was pretty excited because of all the other raving reviews on this site, so I quickly set it up and got it running. For the first two weeks or so, a strange stale-ish smell was coming out of it, but it went away after those two weeks. The first night I had it on I noticed it helped with my cloggy nose, I woke up with a pretty clear nose! It got better over time, but I never got the type of results that some people claim to get, where their allergies disappear. Mine still linger, but is a definite improvement.

The FoodSaver Premier Series V1205 Vacuum Sealing Kit from Tilia keeps food fresh up to five times longer, prevents freezer burn, and locks out air and moisture. Easy to use, the home-vacuum system removes the oxygen from food items and seals bags and canisters with a one-touch system. A three-level seal control allows for varying seal times--shorter for dry foods and longer for moist foods. Hands-free operation ensures that the machine shuts off automatically, while the instant seal button stops the vacuum process to prevent delicate items from being crushed. An accessory port enables vacuum-sealing canisters, bottle stoppers, and universal lids to be attached. The handy antibacterial drip tray can be washed in the dishwasher for easier cleanup. 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product - Saves Money
I've really been enjoying my food saver.I didn't really think it would save money overall but it defintely is.It keeps meat and vegetables very fresh tasting even after a significant time in the freezer.I don't have to throw away more pork chops that got lost in the bottom of the freezer and suffered significant freezer burn.I also find you can re-use the bags (from non raw meat storage) if you cut them appropriately so that's not a total waste either.Great product, helps me save money and is easy to use and pretty minimal storage size too.

3-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't Last
I am now on my 3rd foodsaver in six or seven years. While they are working properly they are great. After about two years, they always seem to stop drawing a vaccuum. The vaccuum pump will run and run but it will not draw a vaccuum. With all the freezing my family does we will continue to keep replacing them because the quality of the vegetables is extended by well over a year. It's worth it to us to replace them every two years. I just wish Tilia would build one at reasonable price that would last about five years.

1-0 out of 5 stars Died after three weeks
For the first three weeks I was very happy with this product. It sealed both bags and canisters quickly and efficiently.

5-0 out of 5 stars Yeah!Hoover S2220 does the job!
After having my Eureka for 7 1/2 years, which I loved, I was on a mission to find a comparable vacuum that rolls smoothly on the wood floors, is fairly lightweight and has higher amps than most "electric brooms".I took a chance with the Hoover & am completely satisfied.I actually like this one better! It is a little bit heavier than my previous vacuum, but really not a major issue.I would recommend this to anyone with wood floors that need clean up daily (or more!).Picks up crumbs, dirt, dog hairs, without any problems. Also works well on the area rugs for a quick once-over.

5-0 out of 5 stars Thank you Hoover for the Flair
Two adults + 2 kids + 2 dogs = Hoover Flair rates at 5 stars. We have tile, wood, carpeted floors (berber) and the Flair sucks like a 12 amp champ.Keep in mind this is not a 12 amp vacuum but for a lite floor vacuum it responds like one.I purchased this vacuum mainly to use on by tile and wood floors and I'm 100% satisified. This vacuum is very light, swivel is a big plus, picks up dog and people hair (bathroom) like a champ.I still us my Hoover Wind Tunnel for my once a week vacuuming for the carpet but the Flair is also good in a pinch. Also it's a quiet vacuum.
5-0 out of 5 stars As advertised.......
Pros: I bought this based on the other reviews and this is no joke. Works GREAT! Gets right in corners and is great on my carpeted stairwell. I live in a one bedroom loft and don't need a big vacuum, but this works just as well if not better then most.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for it's price!
Maybe, being a foreigner, I'm less picky and spoiled than an American, but I think these sheet sets (i got navy blue and brick red) are a great deal for it's price! Yeah, they do pill quite a lot and they do leave a lot of lint (hopefully only after the first washes), but overall they are soft and cousy and fit perfectly on the bed.

1-0 out of 5 stars Better than nothing
These were VERY disappointing. As with all sheets, they need to be washed when they arrived. On the first cycle, they lost at least 50% of their thickness. Oh, that didn't disappear... all the lint turned up in my dryer (6 cups of it, by the way). Even then, the sheets had pills of flannel fabric all over them... which meant they needed another wash/dry cycle. That one produced 4 cups of lint, and by the time they'd been shaken out (the excess fluff flew everywhere!) they were thin and not all that soft.
1-0 out of 5 stars Beware - poor quality
I ordered these sheets based on previously posted positive reviews. These sheets are a big disappointment-- the green is more "lawn" green than "forest" green, so thin you can see light through them, lots of lint as others have noted, and grey dust balls inside the package when I opened it!Save your money and don't buy this product. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Filters Don't Work
These filters don't appear to be working. My water still tastes funny. I wouldn't mind the charcoal specks if my water tasted filtered but it doesn't.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good buy
Been using this for past 4months and no complaints. It cheap and does filter water real good
1-0 out of 5 stars Poor quality filter
I recently purchased both a birta and a pur single stage filter (and a pitcher each). The taste of water from both the filters seems to be comparable.

These sheets are a big disappointment-- the green is more "lawn" green than "forest" green, so thin you can see light through them, lots of lint as others have noted, and grey dust balls inside the package when I opened it!Save your money and don't buy this product. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but overpriced
I've owned this kettle for about a month now.It does what's advertised, but it's far from perfect (that's why it gets a B- from me).In fact, it's no better than Black&Decker I bought at Target some 4 years ago for around $20.The "Open the Lid" button only gets the lid ajar without fully opening it (the lid is not spring loaded), so you do need both hands in order to open the lid (which is an incovinience if you have a pitcher of water in the other hand). You can fill it through the nose, but you gotta be careful not to spill the water around. Both the power button and the "Open the Lid" button have extremely cheap feel to them, there are huge gaps around them ... if I were to rate it on fit and finish alone it would get 2 stars ... but since my wife likes it, I'll give it 4 stars

5-0 out of 5 stars Works like it's s'posed to
I purchased this kettle about a month and a half ago, and from the time I unpacked it it's seen heavy, daily use by both me and my roommate. We are both caffeine junkies, so the fact that it boils water fast is cool.We are also both pretty spacy, so the fact that it turns itself off is also cool.I'm trying to think of gripes I have with the thing, but it actually works really well.If you need an electric doodad to heat up water, this will do it for you.

1-0 out of 5 stars Leaked after a year
This would be a great kettle- pretty fast, decent design, but one year after purchase I am finding growing puddles under it- a leak has developed at the point where the bottom meets the side of the container. I have yet to find a kettle that is durable. This should have lasted at least 5 years. I hate disposable appliances. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to use!Makes GREAT chicken!
I love this grill. It makes fantastically moist chicken breasts!I only wish I had gotten one earlier.Easy to clean and store.

5-0 out of 5 stars Convenient and easy to use.
I was a skeptic about this grill. The whole concept seemed kind of goofy to me. Now, after eating a perfectly cooked salmon fillet this afternoon, I wonder why anyone who doesn't have the room for a traditional grill would go without one of these creatures. The cooking was simple and the cleanup was tremendously easy with the removable plates. Of course, you do not get some of the wonders of a real grill: that smokey flavor, the ability to cook large amounts of food all at once, and, of course, gathering around this grill with a few friends and talking and drinking while you cook is pretty awkward. But what a great product!
2-0 out of 5 stars Just doesn't get it
I bought my grill after several friends and relatives raved about how well it cooks and how easy it is to use.Well, it is easy to use and easy to clean. And I guess you could say it cooks. But it just doesn't get hot enough to call it a grill, no matter how long you preheat it.You get no carmelization of the outside of food, no brown crunch, no grill lines. The food is cooked but there's no "umph" to it.I've had to take the grilled food and throw it in a frying pan to brown it and make it appealing enough to serve.I'm very disappointed and use mine less and less often. In fact, I'm thinking it will probably be making an appearance at my next garage sale. ... Great for commuters, office professionals, and one-coffee-drinker households, this personal coffeemaker brews 15 ounces of coffee directly into a stainless-steel travel mug. The mug has a rubber handle for a safe grip and a lid to keep coffee hot. It's tapered to a 2-1/2-inch-diameter bottom, so it fits most vehicle cup holders. 1-0 out of 5 stars Great Idea, but poor design. Grounds everywhere!
Purchased this item and and it worked fine for a few weeks. Then it started to overflow the grounds outside of the basket and into the water tank, water spreader and into the cup of coffee. Black and Decker replaced the coffee basket but that did not help, when I called them back they offered to send a "refurbished" replacement for $7.50 (the original price for the brand new unit was only $15) if I sent them back a piece of the power cord. And if the replacement unit does the same thing, then I would only have $22.50 in a non-useable unit. No thanks! I would suggest you stay away from this item.

5-0 out of 5 stars No waste and no extra expense!
I had a small 4 cup coffee maker for years but had to make 2 cups in it to taste right, even though I only drank one cup. I'd forget about the second unnecessary cup, and it would sit in the pot all day while I was at work & eventually stunk up the kitchen over time.
5-0 out of 5 stars This is the perfect one cup brewer.
Okay, I've spent hundreds of dollars on different coffee makers over the past two years... I've tried pod brewers (too strong), Mr. Coffee's (horrible taste), old fashioned percolaters and more.I wanted something fast, easy to use with a big enough cup for my morning coffee. This fits the bill perfectly. It comes with a 15 ounce travel mug with a tight lid that doesn't allow leaking when I'm at the computer. It's very easy to clean and after a few weeks of use I don't get any "silt" at the bottom of the cup as another reviewer complained. The permanent filter works for me and this brews a great cup of coffee from all types of grounds. ... Strikingly retro in brushed stainless-steel with black-plasticaccents, this 12-cup coffeemaker includes Cuisinart's best brewingtechnology and premium features for ease and flexibility. 1-0 out of 5 stars AVOID THIS ONE
Only had this coffee maker ( second replacement) one year and it leaked from all over my counter. I asked for a replacement, crazy huh, and was told NO my time had run out. Well I am off on a hunt for a good coffee maker. THIS WAS NOT IT !! Do not waste your money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Coffeemaker!
I had been using a Braun Flavorselect for several years, which was a great coffemaker but was showing its age.So when I started reading up on new models out there, feedback didn't seem so great for the new Brauns. So I found this one, loved the looks and the features, and the feedback seemed very positive.
3-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money.
I purchased this electric because of it's striking design, and programable delayed brewing. While it worked nicely for two years, just a month out of warranty it died! Overhaul, it was a good coffee maker but several design quirks made it difficult to use. The very small water reservior filling area is almost unusable. It's such a confined area, you end up spilling water all over the place. The second quirk is the NON- LIT very small digital display. Putting aside it only lasted two years, I decided to purchase another one. I ran out to one of local retailers and paid the $79 retail pop, used the new pot 3 days and the display died. It would shut off mid brew. At this point I returned it and bought a Mr Coffee 12 cup programable pot which I am very pleased with. In closing, the Cuisinart is too expensive, and doesn't over anything different than the 100s of other brands out there. ... Read more
