Nice looking, roomy, sturdy spoon rest...
Really nice, quality spoon rest with plenty of room for different sized cooking utensils. My only problem with it..and the reason I knocked off a star is..Amazon sent me a damaged one and it's not worth sending back. They really need to practice quality control..I've seen this complaint on many items and seriously wonder if they buy loads of "seconds" to make money...? It's a nice spoon rest however, and worth the money.

I love it!
This is THE best spoon rest!It will accommodate any cooking utensil -- large or small.I use it every day.It goes into the dishwasher and comes out looking shinny and new.It sits on my counter next to the stove, looks great and is always ready for use.I'm going to order three more for Christmas presents.A truly great product.

Perfect design and function
This is an excellent item!First I like that it is stainless steel so that if anything gets stuck on it you can just *brillo* is off.The stainless finish makes it very arractive and so much better looking than most kitchy-looking spoon holders.Altho this is more of a utensil holder...its big.Its a great fit for wooden spoons, the heat-resistant spatulas, large spoons..etc.It will even accomodate ladles altho they pretty much rest on it, as opposed to rest in it.

This unit is sturdy and weighty.It doesnt move around or tip when you put on a utensil.I have put it in the dishwasher with no problem.

This would be an excellent item for someone setting up a kitchen, a kitchen themed gift basket, or a kitchen themed housewarming gift.

easy to use and less of a mess
I prefer a box grater to the flat or hand-held models. They are so much easier to use and create less of a mess if you have limited counter space to work with or are trying to get semi-exact measurments. Plus they are great with kids - my two girls love to help out with the cooking and take their job of cheese grating VERY seriously. cuisinart everyday pans
I not only have this pan, but several others from cuisinart.They are certainly not easily corroded, and one wonders what had to happen to the pan from the previous review.I have found these to be wonderful to cook in, very easy to clean, and always look nice hanging in my kitchen.Have also bought several as gifts, and they are equally pleased.These compare certainly to any pan of 2-3 times the cost.You just can't go wrong with these- unless you don't even know how to cook, in which case you should be shopping in discount stores.

Stainless lining pits and corrodes
I received on of these pans, in a larger size, from an alarmingly organized spendthrift friend who was clearing out her kitchen of items not used within the preceding year. Although the bottom of the pan claims it is made from 18/10 alloy (a type usually highly resistant to corosion) the pan has in ordinary use developed three very deep pits that evidently extend all the way into the copper base core. This sort of flaw is entirely unacceptable and leads me to suspect the claim of 18/10 alloy is false. I would consequently not buy these pans, or any Cuisinart product, at any price, but as this one was free I can not fault it.

What a wonderful stockpot!
I admit that I never could understand why anyone would pay this amount of money for a pot.At the same time, I struggled along with my "cheap" pots and blamed my electic range as "unmanageable".It was frustrating to have to stand watch, stir everything often and keep adjusting the heat to no avail.Well, I bought two of these pots (3-3/4 and 6 qt. sizes) at a discount and it was the best purchase I ever made. The copper core transmits heat so beautifully that a medium setting is all that is required. No standing watch, only occasional stirring and best of all, no scorched food and no frustration.Even though they do not have a non-stick coating, nothing I've cooked sticks, or scorches, or burns and I've cooked bean soup, stews, soups, spaghetti sauce with meat etc. This size pot is so handy, I've just ordered another.They clean easily with a sponge and soapy water and the mirror bright finish is the same as the day I took them out of the box.I am in love with Cuisinart Everyday Stainless Steel pots! ... Handle breaks under weight of ingredients
I can't recommend these measuring cups. The handles aren't very strongly attached; shortly after I purchased a set, I was holding the one-cup measuring cup by the handle while it was full of flour, and the cup snapped off and fell to the floor.

Another great kitchen product from Amco
The Amco 4-piece Steel Measuring Cup Set is something I use all the time.They are sturdy and well manufactured and I don't think they will be falling apart very soon. I bought it as an extra set of measuring cups I can use when cooking, but I now consider this set my main one. I consider this purchase a good investment and will most certainly purchase other Amco products in the future.

Disappointing
When I first pulled this out of my old dorm room supplies I was enthusiastic.It has a very nice, clean design.However, I was sorely disappointed when I tried to use it to make smothies with ice.It is VERY DIFFICULT TO GET IT TO CHOP ICE (it doesn't suck the ice to the bottom well).Go for something else.This model is inadequate.I'm looking for a new machine.

Just Ok
This blender is just ok. If you're making milkshakes or smoothies (minus ice) it works fine. Forget making any drink with crushed ice like a dacquiri or slushy. The ice ends up as 1/2" chunks. After suffering with this blender for a year, I just bought a KitchenAid Ultra Power. It is great!

Mixer of most anything...
I believe in the phrase, "you get what you pay for". There are plenty of blenders out there that you could have paid less for. There are some (no doubt) that are more expensive. This better than average mixer is perfect for home use. The stainless steel base is as tough as it looks. The plastic piece & blade on the bottom are fairly easy to clean & change if necessary. This blender whizzes thru ice cream shakes & frappes as well as those drinks requiring a lot of ice. Plenty of power too - make sure the lid is on or you'll be scraping that strawberry daiquiri off the ceiling. Great unit for the price. ... Read more

This multipurpose tool created a stir in the kitchen when it came out, as the food processor did a generation earlier. In order to blend, whip, and chop smaller amounts of ingredients, it's no longer necessary to wrestle with bulky appliances. Immerse the 7-1/2-inch blender shaft, with its little blade on the end, into a pot where vegetables have been simmering, press the switch, and in seconds a creamy soup appears--with no need to dump everything into a big blender. Blend sauces and baby foods in their cooking pots, too. Blend a milk shake or juice drink right in its drinking container, or in the 2-1/2-cup beaker included in this set. Whipping cream and egg whites is just as convenient: a 5-inch whisk attaches to the motor when the blender is removed. For chopping nuts, herbs, garlic, or onions, there's a 2-cup chopper bowl with a special blade. The motor with the attached blender shaft can be mounted on a wall (mount included). I'm ready to get a third!
I live for my Braun handblenders.I use it most often to make refried beans and also for all kinds of soups.I keep kosher so I have one for dairy and one for meat and I'm planning to get one for passover.This is a must have for every person who hates to clean up the food processor or the blender.It cuts prep time to a bare minimum..

My favorite kitchen tool
This is the best kitchen tool anyone could own.It is small, and therefore easy to store.It is also easy to clean.

I have used mine to puree soups, applesauce, make smoothies, beat eggs, make pesto and baby food.With the attachments, I have ground coffee beans, whole spices, ground nuts, cake mixes and more!

Very versatile, very affordable, easy-to-clean, easy-to-store...what more could you ask for?

Handy... but not so easy on the hands
The Braun Multiquick 430 HC consists of a motor housing with cord that twist-locks into a blending attachment. It can also lock into a whisk attachment, or the top portion of a mini-chopper. It includes a two-cup plastic measuring cup as well, sized and shaped so that you can use the blender to blend small amounts of liquids in it.

While you need to wipe off the motor housing by hand, the lock-on attachments are dishwasher-safe. (Our last immersion blender was one-piece and not dishwasher-safe, so this is a real bonus!) Because of the way the blender attachment is shaped, with the plastic housing circling the blade, you don't have to worry that the blade will get banged around and dulled on the dishwasher rack.

With enough use the blades will eventually dull, of course, and we use ours quite a bit. But until then they work wonders, easily pureeing soups of all kinds. The chopper attachment is surprisingly effective, and I've used it to chop small amounts of herbs into confetti in split seconds. It's also very easy to assemble, use, de-assemble, and wash in the dishwasher--easier than a mini-prep food processor.

The whisk is a handy attachment, and the multiquick does have enough power to produce whipped cream, although it takes more time than it does with a full-power two-beater hand mixer. However, there isn't a lot of feedback from the whisk--it has just enough give that it's hard to tell when it's pushing up against a bowl, so I'm always a little worried that I'm going to damage it inadvertently.

The one real problem this item has for me is the on-button. It isn't very sensitive; it requires a firm push, it's easy to accidentally let up on it, and it takes some amount of force to keep it pushed in. I have tendonitis, so this can be pretty hard on my hands if I'm not mixing or chopping a very small amount of materials. It would be nice if it had either a real "on" switch, or a more sensitive button. ... Read more
