If you even paid $1.00 for this out of the bargin box at a Garage sale, your being ripped off. It Takes FOREVER to load and play DVD's and follow commands. freezes in the middle of Movies, and doesn't play CD-Rs. (...) Never again will I buy a Philips brand anything I was so dissatisfied.

    2-0 out of 5 stars It plays...DVDs!
This player does not seem to hold up after much time. It has trouble reading some discs now and when it does takes a long time. Okay, so it's a Philips and it is complete garbage. With what's out there now that's cheaper and better, I give this one 2 stars.

I have found this to be an good player for DVD's but not much else. A few things on some of these reviews are just not true for this player, and I have tested these formats and been successful:

-Video CD (VCD): ONLY ON CD-RW'S- It does play, even has a light up icon that says "VCD", just doesn't play very well- will fail to load sometimes and may skip
-DVD-R's: The ones I've tested work perfect every time, don't know about DVD-RW's yet

So, this is not the greatest of players ... ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars This pan does not work
I have tried to use this pan over and over, and it does not work.I have coated it with every type of non-stick grease I could think of, and the cake completely sticks every time.It even takes 3 - 4 washings in the dishwasher, plus hand scrubbing to get the pan clean again.I keep trying to get the pan to work because it was an expensive gift from my daughter, but I've given up.

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Beautiful!
This pan made a gorgeous cake (using a plain box mix)!I made sure to spray the pan with Baker's Joy (has the flour mixed in already), the cake came out with no problems at all.I made a strawberry cake (for the pink rose affect), made a simple glaze using pureed frozen strawberries w/juice and powdered sugar. Then I added under the cake some hydrenga leaves from my garden for a true rose affect. It turned out so lovely. If you are considering this pan my recommendation is to go for it, you won't be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Cake Decorating Not Your Thing?
I confess:I have never been good with cake icing.I have never been able to frost a cake perfectly smooth, much to the chagrin of my mother and my long line of cake decorating relatives.

This lovely pan is a way to create a culinary work of art easily! The crevices in the rose design make it very easy to drizzle a glaze or a liquid frosting over the cake and it is a smashing presentation.I make a red velvet cake with creamy caramel glaze that works perfectly with this.

Nordic Ware is an excellent brand. All the cake pans are good heavy quality bakeware with a fine nonstick coating. The metal conducts heat evenly, ensuring beautifully baked cakes every time.

You can even whip up a store-bought cake mix and still get ooh's and aah's with this pan! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Nordic Multi Bundt Pans
I saw these in another catalog and would have had to pay shipping and thought they were expensive until I got the product. I purshased another 6 cakes bundt with different designs. I used the cooking spray and hoped for the best. I made a banana muffin recipie, wrapped them indivudually and put a bow ribbon and gave to my clerical pool as a breakfast treat. The folk were impressed because of the detailing of the muffins and they tasted great. I loved the individual cakes and the pan was wonderful. I have bought several other designs and use them for special occasions.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Pan!!
I love all Nordicware products.Their pans are very heavyweight and will last forever. The only thing you must remember when using them is to grease them well.I grease mine with shortening and use a pastry brush to "paint" it on.Doing that I've never had any problems with sticking.Everything comes out beautifully and looks almost to pretty to eat.You will not be disappointed in this pan or any others by Nordicware.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bakeware -- with attention to detail
After having the product in my wishlist for many months, I decided to splurge and complete my purchase. The pan arrived promptly, even with Super Saver Shipping, and boy was I impressed. How best to describe this item?Heavy-duty, built to last, with a superb attention to detail.I couldn't wait to use it and immediately made a batch of rum cakes (recipe was listed on the back of the packaging). After a lengthy greasing (there is alot of surface area, with nooks and crannies everywhere), the batter was even dispersed amongst the six mini-bundts.Fifteen minutes later, the baked product was proudly pulled from the oven. Absolutely nothing stuck to the pan; quick flip and they came out perfectly. This has been one of those kitchen purchases that I thoroughly recommend to all my family and friends. And with a 20 year warranty, I expect this give me a lifetime of baking bliss. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

The classic tube-cake bundt pan is round with vertical flutings alternating between sharp/narrow and rounded/wide. This mold rings a spectacular change on that shape. This mold is star-shaped, with bold, overlapping flutings. Detail remains intact thanks to the pan's heavy, cast-aluminum sturdiness, which promotes even baking. Try almond-butter pound cake with berries (recipe included), and the pan's capacity to create fine crusts is enticingly demonstrated. The mold holds 10 to 12 cups of batter, enough to make a festive cake for 10 people. This rust- and warp-resistant pan has a long life expectancy. The nonstick coating ensures cakes, breads, frozen desserts, and gelatin desserts and salads pop out with their pretty flutings intact. --Fred Brack ... Read more

No more boring bundts! The cakes this pan produce look gorgeous and come out of the pan with virtually no effort. Very solid pan, I'm sure it will last for many years. Definitely worth the cost if you enjoy making bundt cakes!

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing Pan
I always have a hard time making cakes in tube pans. They always end up crumbling when I try to take them out.So, when I saw this pan I was not sure that it would work. All those sharp edges looked scary! : )But I went ahead and order it.When I got it, I just had to try it so see if all the reviews were correct.Well... the very first cake I made came out beautifully.I even had to call my husband in the kitchen to show him how I had finally made a perfect tube-pan cake.Just a little oil spray and flour was all it took. This is just an amazing pan!It is worth every penny!

    Editorial Review

In recent years there have been an increasing number of Christian musicians who have forgone personal expression to be solely devoted to the worship arts. Some are saying that this is nothing short of a worship renaissance aimed toward Christian revival. In the midst of this worldwide awakening, WOW Worship is back with 30 more favorite songs to inspire intimacy with God. This second WOW Worship disc combines the sounds of these worship-faithful artists with some time-tested favorites from the past two decades. Between the '90s storm-tossed "Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble?" and the '80s call-and-response anthem "Victory Chant," all worshippers will recognize at least one of these songs and many will likely recognize all 30 of them. Other highlights include Sonicflood's spiced-up "In the Secret" and Kathryn Scott's "Hungry," live from the London Vineyard. WOW Worship Orange is an unprecedented effort toward joining different worship styles into a unified whole. It is a movement that will surely enrich worship for everyone involved. --Israel Button ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Worship CD!!
I love this CD. This Cd consists of the best worships songs I know. Hungry is such a good song, it is followed by Better is One Day. This song will make you want sing and rejoice. I recommend this CD to all Christians. This is a great CD!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good But Not Perfect
This album is in my opinion better than the original (Wow Worship Blue). The main reason I voted this a four star is because it still encorperates many of the older songs with the new.It is still a good buy though and I would say that it is about half and half for the old and new issue.Basically, what I want to say is that this is a very good album though it would be better if they used some more of the newer material to get it around and for a new experience with the God.

5-0 out of 5 stars A rousing compilation of mostly modern worship songs
I enjoy worshiping the Lord to these modern day worship classics. I especially like the first CD in this set, the songs "Light the Fire Again," "Rock of Ages," "We Want to See Jesus Lifted High," "In That Day," "In the Secret," and "You are God" are just awesome, catchy, melodic worship songs to the Lord. The second CD slows down the pace a little bit and most of the songs are not quite as edgy and tuneful as the songs from the first CD, but "Awesome God," "Shine Jesus Shine," and "God is Good All the Time" deliver the goods.

If you enjoy worshiping the Lord, this is a great collection of modern day worship classics. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This is a GREAT recording
This is the first time I've taken time to write a review...and it's because this is one of the best recordings I've ever heard.
It is intimate, musially VERY interesting and satisfying, and it reveals the heart of the song writer as one in love with God.
I'm a lover of God and good music, and this recording stands out as one of my all-time favorite. Get it...you won't be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply beautiful!
I have listen to Baloche's album "First love" and I did like, so I decided to buy this new Cd... I was amazed by the intimicy of the lyrics and the fantastic work done by the musiciens! I knew lots of versions of some musics but... This album is the best! You really can fall in praise and intimate worship by listening to this work... Are you "near" God? Are you "far" away? This Cd can be a help....

5-0 out of 5 stars Entering God's presence....
By listening to this cd you can have an outstanding whorship & intimacy experience with God. When i heard this for the first time i've liked very much the musics but in a couple of days i felt the presence of God through this music and i humbled myself as i came to the presence of The Holy. 5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Music!
Hi, I am 17 years old and I bought this CD for myself when I saw it!:) This music is wonderful, these aren't your typical kids songs (which I love!) but it's still good. I was familiar with most of the songs from the youth group at my church, but this CD presents them in a wonderful way! But, I'm not going to suggest it for everybody my age and older, because it is still definately kids music! I've always enjoyed little kids' stuff (since I left the age of little kid myself). Perhaps that is God's way of preparing me for my calling to be an elementary teacher. But anyways, even if you don't love this music, your kids will! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A great magazine
Leap's Pond is a god-send! My husband and I were at our whits end with trying to find a magazine for our son that was educational and fun. Many of the magazines out there are good, but Timmy has a shortened attention span and would only look at the photos and try to read the articles but would quickly loose interest. Because of this, we felt the price of the other magazines were not worth it. BUT!!! Our search ended when we discovered Leaps Pond .... Not only is the magazine fun and educational, it's engaging too! Timmy spends a great deal of time with the magazine. And re-reads it over and over. It has helped him with reading, math, science, social studies and foreign language (his favorite). The games, songs, and concepts are one of a kind. When Timmy spends hours with Leap's Pond, I know he's learning, which makes me feel proud and satsified as a parent. I highly recommend it to all parents with kids.

5-0 out of 5 stars What a great deal for a education magazine!
Wow! This magazine is incredible. It's full of different activities and educational games for children. The quality of information is great too...it really teaches in addition to entertaining my child. I like the way the magazine makes education fun yet important concepts are not lost. I have a daughter going into first grade, and when she uses the magazine, she shows an interest in learning new things without realizing it (because there are many fun activities, the pages are colorful and the content is captivating). It also comes with a parent guide, which gives me additional activities to do with her (that are related to what's in her magazine). It's a great price, especially when you compare it to other fluff magazines for kids. Once, again...my family is hooked on yet another great Leapfrog item! I wish these great educational toys existed when I was her age....(sigh!)

1-0 out of 5 stars Total lack of customer support
This is a great idea, but the company falls flat on it's face with follow-up.We are the proud owners of the LeapPad, IQuest, and Mindstation. The materials such as LeapPond magazine, the little cardboard sled that is to be mailed after registration so the individual LeapPrint sheets align properly have not yet arrived! This is after TWO MONTHS!BE AWARE, the person you talk to on the phone to remedy this problem may not be employed by LeapFrog, as certain services are contracted out. This leads to a ping-pong between customer service entities regarding accountability for the problem. The cost of these products, the cost of the subscriptions to keep them going after 6 months, and the conspicuous lack of concern by the worker-bees should be a big CAVEAT EMPTOR! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Good Bilingual Counting Book
My daughter got this and a bunch of other Dora books when she was 22 months -- this one is one of her favorites. Not only is she learning how to count to ten in Spanish (not to mention English) using fruit, but she has picked up some Spanish words for fruit (her favorite type of food) -- now she sometimes asks for cherries and strawberries using their Spanish names.True, she has never seen or eaten a guava, and I don't know why common kid-friendly fruit like apples and grapes are not featured, but it's a book she asks to read over and over, and she has clearly benefitted.Since my knowledge of Spanish is limited to what I learned in middle school ages ago, I found the Spanish pronunciation offered on each page very helpful. Not every Dora book offers this, which would lead me to worry I am teaching her incorrect pronunciation (why bother to learn if you aren't saying it right?).As with every Dora book, the pictures are bright and simple and draw my daughter in.

5-0 out of 5 stars My son loves this!
My 22 month old son is totally head-over-heels with Dora, and he also loves enjoys counting activities. We just got this book yesterday, and he's already had us read it over and over. The numbers are very easy to find on the page, and the pictures are very cute and simple.

We aren't using the Spanish part of the book yet.Tico the squirrel (who, as all good Dora fans know, only speaks Spanish) presents the Spanish word in the corner of each page.My son always points to Tico, but the picture is done in a very non-distracting way.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, my kids love it, but mom likes......
"Where is Boots" & "Dora's backpack" are better. This is a good book, just not as good as the others. The pineapple is green and the guavas are hard to see as they blend with the scenery in the pic. My 2 and 3 (soon to be 3 and 4) year old love it though!!! ... Read more

    Editorial Review

What's really cute? A kid that can pronounce tough words with confidence and finesse. LeapPad's multisensory, experiential interface allows a child to do just that. With The Day Leap Ate Olives, kids see, hear, say, and touch throughout the book, making it easier to retain and enhance oral, vocabulary, and phonics skills while distinguishing between consonants and vowels. Leap and his friends help kids to identify, comprehend, and pronounce new and old words correctly.

It's simple to use (just insert the cartridge and book into a LeapPad, and use the attached stylus to hear information), but this system is an innovative technology that provides entertaining, effective learning, designed by a Stanford-trained reading expert. As well, the system has been credited with the TMA's Educational Toy of the Year and People's Choice awards.

Two notes: Make sure the LeapPad book you get is appropriate for the child's educational level; this one should be a challenge for kids up to age 6. As well, know that some LeapBooks work on both LeapPad and LeapPad Pro, like this one, but some books only work with one system. --Diane Beall ... Read more
