Not functional at all
Because of the handle's round shape it is difficult to hold this teapot level when hot.You can't support the pot with your pinky (because the pot is hot) and otherwise the weight of the pot will twist the ring shaped handle in your hand - spilling tea everywhere.The spout also tends to dribble, so (assuming you can actually hold the thing) getting tea into a cup is an added challenge.

Pretty, but pretty useless
I thought this teapot would be a great addition to my Fiesta collection - I bought it in cobalt. It looks great on display, and I've occasionally used it to hold flowers, but it is virtually worthless as a teapot. The pour spout causes tea to run down the side of the pot and tea pretty much goes everywhere but in the teacup. Only buy this if you're looking for a collectible - if you're looking for a good teapot for tea, look elsewhere.

Great for display
I wanted this teapot because it matched my purple kitchen.I don't use it for tea because of it's heaviness and the fact that it gets very hot to hold.Other than that, everyone asks me where I got it because you just don't see something this unique daily.I really love it and am glad that I added this teapot to my collection.I don't think it's practical for tea though. Stick your finger in it
Hunting and collecting is the fun way to obtain this product. However if you have not got the time or the inclination, purchasing is the next best thing. (See my review of "Collector's Encyclopedia of Fiesta" ISBN: 1574322125

Most Fiestaware stick to the rule "form follows function." In the case of these mugs the designer deviated. You know what I am about to say. What to you do with your other fingers after you stuck one in the small portal on the side of the mug full of hot liquid?

It burns, it burns!
I really love my fiestaware, but these mugs are enough to suck the joy from the whole set. I wish they offered an option of practical (non-jumbo) mugs, so that fiesta purists could have these and people who want practical drinkware could have something comfortable.

The problem, as others have noted, is the handle. However for me it's not really the awkwardness of having to support the mug with just one finger. Rather, it's the way you have to brace it with your other fingers against the burning hot mug. The thing conducts heat like mad, and even the thickened bit under the handle is too hot for me to keep contact with for more than a quick sip. A mug should not be painful to use! I wind up holding it with two hands on the top and bottom edges, or waiting until it cools and drinking my beverage cold. That's if I use the mugs at all--we gave up on them and keep a separate set of mugs for our use and mostly just bring these out when we care if things look nice and match.

These things have been around forever, and it's obvious that a significant percentage of people just hate them. I just can't understand why over the years they haven't come out with an alternative.

Meh.
These are the most bizarre coffee mugs I've ever owned. Yeah, they look really neat, but the "handle" is just a little circle that's hard to grip.

If you like holding your coffee mug with just your index finger and spilling the contents all over the place, this is the mug for YOU!

The capacity is very small, too. All of my other mugs hold a good deal more than these.

I wouldn't buy these particular mugs now that I've had them (they were a gift!) nor would I give them as a gift to anyone else. Does Fiestaware make another kind of mug? Maybe they're better-designed than these ones. ... Read more

Chicken Fajitas...Mmmm
I love chicken fajitas and order them when I go out.When I saw this, I knew that I really enjoy it.It is small enough that storing it isn't a problem, even in a small apartment.It is also pretty affordable, whether you get it for yourself, give it as a gift or receive it as a gift.

A word of caution: the sizzler is going to be hot. I know most people know that, but just in case.:c)

My only suggestion is to let the sizzler soak in some warm, soapy water so you don't have to scrub it.

So, you want Chili's at home?
Feel like a professional fajita chef with this restaurant-style fajita pans, complete with matching trivet. Makes a great presentation when you bring the sizzling pan to the table. Sturdy cast iron will last forever, and the price is certainly right.

This is the most economical set anywhere
I looked everywhere for a matching set of sushi plates and accessories.This is the one I got.I checked out other sets, and they really came up in price.I got 2 of these, along with noodles 2 GO bowls that match.

Where is the creativity?
Nice and simple, but so completely western if you ask me.It has more of the English tearoom effect than the Japanese love for the beautiful in the simple things of life.Japanese dishes are so creative and breathtaking in their simple beauty--why are most of the options for sale here in the US so boring?I have resorted to making my own sushi dishes, and I can tell you they're a lot more interesting than these.If you want something fast get these.but if you want personality keep looking.let me know if you find anything really good.

Absolute simplicity.
The BIA Cordon Bleu 'Sushi 2 Go' set is the perfect thing for take home, or made at home sushi.Sushi just isn't the same without a proper place setting, and the Sushi 2 Go set remedies this problem in style.The clean, graceful lines of the white porcelain dishes will easily go with any other white dishes you may have in your cupboard. Not terrible
These tongs are OK but they really do not have a solid feel to them. I get the impression that after some use that the bend is going to suffer metal fatigue and will eventually break.I'd opt for a tong with a hinge mechanism if I had it to do over.

Beautiful and tough: best ever for pasta, soup, and salad
These bowls are the workhorses of our kitchen: tough enough for everyday use (and frequent runs through our UNcareful dishwasher) and pretty enough to put out for company.

When I first began using Emile Henry table and cookware years ago, the idea of banging around the kitchen with pottery (especially pottery with unglazed bits like the bottoms [not the sides] of these bowls) made me very nervous. But in time, we've learned that this pottery requires no special handling. Almost anything else in our kitchen has to be treated more carefully than these hefty bowls.

And almost nothing is as versatile. Although our nest is empty, I bought several sets of these because they are useful for soup, salad, and dessert -- and more. That they can go in the microwave and oven and under the broiler means that they are useful small serving dishes: vegetables and cobblers, for instance.

The red is beautiful and bright. And the bowls are so useful that I consider picking up this set in other colors, too.

Great Gift

Best value I have ever received on Amazon
I almost did not order this item because of the other reviewers. I decided to order because I figured it was [not much] so why not try. I needed a decanter and this one came with glasses to boot. I honestly think this is an Amazon pricing error. This set is SUCH A TREMENDOUS VALUE. This is the first time I have written a review, though I purchase from Amazon frequently. The decanter is beautiful, solid, and has a great area for wine to breathe.
The glasses are great, and look like the glasses I bought for $5 each from Pier 1. Packaging was probably overkill, so I'm not sure what the other reviewers referred to. The fancy Mikasa box was inside a more sturdy cardboard box with styrofoam.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SET and I think I am going to order the white wine version.
