GREAT BATTERY BUT....
This battery is a really nice because you can put it in calculators but if the calculator is not also solar powered and you use it a lot it could run out quickly

Who cares how good the ink is--it writes!
I have had this stylus for over a year and have had no problems with it dulling or falling out. I love it because I always have a pen with me. I figured it would drive me crazy if I had a "pen" that wrote on my Handspring and not on regular paper. The pen itself is not high quality--but who cares?! The most important thing is that it writes! If you want a Mont Blanc, then don't buy this. But if you want to have a pen quickly available to you, then it is well worth (...) purchasing it to avoid the aggavation of searching for something to write with.

Stylus falls out - but I'm buying a second one.
First thing to know is that the tip of this makes a poor stylus - it is too soft - gets dull and then works only if you press really hard (I even sharpened it a few times on sand paper!).BUT - I found a simple cure - throw the tip away and just use the pen point - I haven't had any trouble with scratching and it requires less pressure than any of the styluses making fast writing much easier. -Also, very fast to change from writing on paper to back to the visor.

Second problem: I must have worn it out; it got lose in the visor case. If I turn the visor upside down it falls out now.So, now I'm buying a second over priced stylus pen. This really shouldn't be more than $3 But I can't live without it.

Not worth the ink it writes (sometime) with
Stylus is flimsier than the one supplied with the visor. The pen, if you can call it that, is much like the pencils they give you at a golf course. A quill would perform better than this does. It seems styli weren't meant to be used to write with. ... Read more

While driving or jogging and listening to the radio, you'll never againhave to ask, "What's that song?" or "Who's that artist?" Thanks to the SonyeMarker--which is small enough to hang on your key chain--you can bookmark thesong and look it up at your leisure on your PC.

To set up the eMarker, we inserted the included CR2025 battery into the unit,connected its USB cradle to our PC, and visited the eMarker.com Web site todownload and install the driver software. Then we inserted the eMarker into itscradle and followed the onscreen instructions to register the unit for the freeeMarker service (a process that included checking local coverage and listing ourfavorite radio stations). The entire setup process took only a couple ofminutes.

This sounds rather complicated, until you remind yourself that the eMarker islittle more than a digital clock. When you press the eMarker's button--the onlycontrol on the unit--you aren't actually saving information from the radio, justrecording a timestamp. To determine the song information, you'll need to insertthe eMarker into its cradle and connect to the eMarker Web site (a process verymuch analogous to PDA synchronization). The eMarker site then displays playlistinformation from the available radio stations in your area. (Playlistinformation is provided by Broadcast Data Systems, which covers about 1,100radio stations across the country. To check whether stations in your area arecovered, visit www.emarker.com/coverage/index.jhtml.)

In our tests of the eMarker, we listened to a variety of pop, rock, and countrystations (classical, jazz, college radio, and AM stations are not yet included)and pressed the bookmark button upon hearing songs of interest. (Unfortunately,you can only bookmark up to 10 songs at a time.) Later, we connected to our PCand the eMarker Web site, and our PC displayed various choices on screen thatintelligently corresponded to songs we might have bookmarked. Thanks toeMarker's well-designed Web site, with a few mouse clicks we were able to listento audio clips, view information about the songs' artists, and even visit onlineretailers where we could purchase the CD. Note that the eMarker now works with both Windows-based PCs and Macs with USB connectivity.

If you enjoy pop music and would like some help in recognizing the songs andartists that rock your world, the small, easy-to-use Sony eMarker is aninexpensive and fun gadget to connect you to your music.

its unbelievable to me that you still have this available to purchase. After 9/30/01, you cannot use this, so why is it on sale still? and why is it going off the market? Its a great idea, I hope someone else picks up where sony leaves off.

Great concept - but low quality - will jam permanently
I wish another company would make the same product with better quality. Although the concept is spot on, there's a problem with the rubber o-ring inside the pump - it will slide out of place and jam up the pump so that it becomes unusable. My first one lasted about 9 months before that happened, so I was willing to try again. The second one, however, lasted less than a month before the o-ring slipped and the pump jammed. There is no way to open it up to fix it. So until they fix this problem, this product is hit or miss. Caveat emptor!

It works!
We use our vacu vin wine saver all of the time since purchasing it about six months ago.It enables us to put partially full bottles back into our wine cooler, which we were unable to do before. We had tried unsuccessfully to do this with other wine corks.

Extend that bottle's life!
I recently bought this, and am happy with it. It "clicks" after 4 or 5 quick pumps for a 3/4 full bottle, and 7-8 clicks for a 1/4 filled bottle, to indicate vacuuum has been established, and the vacuum holds well, as does the wine!

Theprevious model did not click, however it certainly attained vacuum after about the same number of pumps..hearing the clicks is more reassuring!

As I recently bought it, I can't assess its long term durability as others have.

It does extend the wine's good taste for at least a few days in addition to the usual 2-3 days before the wine tastes "funny".

I've no reason to try it for more than a week of"corking up" a previously opened tasty bottle, so for these reasons i've got my money's worth, and it gets 5 stars. ... Read more
