Passes the Soup Pot Submersion Test
Cons:Poorly designed spring clip and weak magnet on back makes unit unstable.Only one function-countdown.Other models for about [money] will do everything but take out the garbage.

Pros:Loud alarm.Large display.Long battery life (2+ years) even though display is always on.

Durability:I once knocked the timer into a hot pot of cream of butternut squash soup!Fished it out with a ladle; took out the battery; unscrewed the case;rinsed it well in warm water; then turned the blow drier on it (hey, what've I got to lose?).Two hard working months later it's still as good as new.

too noisy
I like that this operates with a AAA battery - I usually have some around for the TV remote.I do not like that it beeps LOUDLY for each time you push the buttons to set the time:e.g. set for 45 minutes, you hear 45 beeps.

It works, but the design could be better.
It works fine and I like the magnet on the back to adhere it to metal.I put it on the range hood over my stove.The problem is that it wiggles around when you try to press the buttons and has fallen off several times.I think it would be better it the clip on the back of it was removable so that it could be placed flat on the metal surface. ... Feeble Alarm...
The alarm of my timer emits a feeble beep for one minute and ought to be louder IMO.Otherwise it works fine.It is not a clock as another wrote..

It has big numbers
It is easy to read and easy to use but it doesn't have a on and off switch so it is always on. If you want to turn it off to save the battery you have to take the battery out when you are done using it and put it back in when you want to use it again. Good but not for video games
This TV is great in every aspect except video games.Playstation looks horrendous on it.every single jagged edge shows upand makes u want to .....Dreamcast looks ok but make sure to hook it up through S-Video.Evcerything else about this tv is cool but i recommend u buy the 50 in panasnic instead.END

A step in the right direction
This television provides incredible picture quality... I would say it is equivalent to computer monitors from 5 or so years ago in clarity.At it's best it is a preview of the future, when 12xx by 10xx resolutions will bethe standard.

Great but too clear
The plasma TV pales to none.The only problem is that it is too clear at times.The blemished of the actors really show up.Here in Japan we have High Definition TV and the High Definition is fantastic on it.Everythinglooks so real.You might want to view further than about 3 meters or so. The size and the light can give you a headache if viewed too closly for toolong.But, basically that is about the same as any TV.Great buy! ... Read more
