Chantal Stainless 1-4/5-Quart Classic Teakettle Average Customer Review: Kitchen list price: $130.00 -- our price: $99.99 (price subject to change: see help) US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France Editorial Review This solidly built, classic-looking teakettle says you're serious about your tea. The bright stainless-steel finish makes the kettle an eye-pleasing focal point on the stovetop. Even more of an attention-getter is the two-tone harmonica whistle--an amusing reminder to the household that the water is boiling and ready to pour. The flat aluminum base ensures that water heats quickly, and the lid with its black rubber gasket keeps the heat in. The boldly curved metal handle and other metal parts can get quite warm, so use a potholder when picking the kettle up and flipping up the whistle. The lid opening is large enough to make cleaning easy. --Dale Steinke ... Read more Features Reviews (4)

Amco Stainless Steel Garlic Smash Average Customer Review: Kitchen list price: $14.99 US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France Editorial Review The sleek stainless-steel design of this garlic press adds to its functionality. You'll see the peel easily crack when you press down the handle; once a clove's skin is broken, peeling is easy. This tool also makes a perfect pestle for grinding and mashing dry herbs and spices as well as garlic. And if all that garlic pressing leaves your hands redolent of garlic, simply wet them and rub them against the stainless steel to reduce the odor. --Brooke Van Peski ... Fits the palm of your hand perfectly. You can smash down hard, or just kind of crack them open. It's a hollow steel item, so it is not nearly as heavy as it looks. I find this one much more effective than a heavy french chef's knife. If you use a heavy cleaver and heavy board now - this is the same effect. If you don't have a heavy board and cleaver - get this thing. it's fun.

Sitram Profiserie 3.3-Quart Commercial Stainless Steel Saucepan Kitchen list price: $41.00 -- our price: $29.99 (price subject to change: see help) US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France Editorial Review French manufacturer Sitram produces commercial-grade stainless-steel cookware for restaurant, hotel, and institutional kitchens worldwide. Serious home cooks also use this cookware to advantage. On Profiserie pot and pan bottoms, an aluminum disc sheathed in steel conducts heat rapidly and uniformly. Sitram cookware goes safely into ovens and under broilers. Designed to withstand rough treatment, its bright, shiny appearance lasts indefinitely. Bottoms don't warp. It doesn't stain and resists corrosion. And with no inside rivets to clean around, it scrubs up hygienically and painlessly. For cooks who value heavy, bang-around durability over fancy design, this cookware is for you. Use this versatile pan--7.9 inches (20 cm) in diameter--to cook sauces, vegetables, soup, or rice or to heat liquids. Covered, it steams clams or mussels. At only 4 inches high, it's ideal for rapidly reducing sauces and its gently rounded sides facilitate stirring. In the oven (to 500 degrees F) or on top of the stove and covered, it functions as a casserole to stew or braise meats, poultry, seafood, or vegetables. Its long (8-1/4 inches), hollow-oval, heat-resistant handle--notched on the end for easy hanging--keeps hands away from the heat. Pair with the Profiserie 7.9-inch stainless-steel lid or the Inox 7.9-inch Commercial stainless-steel lid. --Fred Brack ... Read more Features Asin: B00004SACN |
