While the title sounds as cliché as "just do it," a seasoned easterner trans-planting herself in Alaska is anything but usual. It's the core of what innovators know best or as Emerson said, "Do not go were the path may lead, instead go where there is no path and leave a trail."

Great anecdotes
Dr. Kleinfeld's thesis is that testing yourself at a "frontier" can bring surprising and exciting results.She supports this thesis with some fascinating and entertaining anecdotes, some about her own family but many about colorful characters she has met in Alaska.Many of the results described seem to be related to being a big fish in a small pond (not so many people on the frontier), but the book is still an enjoyable read.
