    Editorial Review

Constructed of durable, rip-proof fabric, the new 56-pocket organizer from Bucket Boss improves on what was already a great idea. Unlike the toolboxes of old, the Bucket Boss organizer stores tools where they're visible and easy to access. And, with 38 exterior pockets and 18 more on the inside, the Bucket Boss really does have a place for just about everything. We've loaded ours down with wrenches, handsaws, screwdrivers, hammers, pry bars, pencils, utility knives, pliers, and drill bit sets. There's even a padded pocket for your cordless drill. We quickly discovered, however, that depending on how you load it, the Bucket Boss can get a little top-heavy. After ours tipped over in the back of our truck, we reloaded it with our hammerheads down, and it hasn't tipped since. We recommend the Bucket Boss 56 for remodelers, carpenters, electricians, repair people, or any other professional who brings a lot of hand tools to the job; it also makes the perfect tool kit for do-it-yourselfers moving through the house from room to room and project to project. --Jon Groebner ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Cheap and handy until you truck it around
and it dumps your kit all over the truck bed. The Bucket Boss is a handy organizer for householders and weekenders, but a stout metal toolbox (e.g: Kennedy) or canvas bag (e.g: Gatemouth) or instrument case (e.g: Platt) will be more useful for most everyday workmen.

    4-0 out of 5 stars Get a handle...it holds a lot
Great layout, plenty of pockets for everything you need for the do it yourselfer or tradesmen. I have probably 50lbs of tools in the bucket and still have room for more. One suggestion is a handle for the bucket. Take some foam (like the stuff in bicycle pads) and cut it to length then zip tie both ends and cover with duct tape. I would give it 5 stars if it had a second tape ring and a second hammer loop and a cover.

5-0 out of 5 stars Holds Everything I Need
No, the bucket is not included, but I had a stack of them to get rid of anyway. This thing holds just about anything I can think of, to the point that I can hardly carry it.The only suggestion I have is that some of the outside pockets could be deeper, but for under $20, what do you want? It's made of tough material as well and I expect it will last a very long time. ... I don't normally write reviews, but for this, I just couldn't stop. If laughter is the best medicine - then maybe I don't need to see the doctor now. I laughed my butt off - Do you think I should apply for a refund? Do you think the product was defective some how? Was that supposed to happen? My frind says I'm full of c**p, but let me tell you NOT any more! He has no sense of humor. It was outstanding.

I would give it at least 6* at least

Kneel, sit, or stand on this multifunctional piece of gardening equipment. Sixteen inches high with a top measuring 20 by 10-1/2 inches, this kneeler seat serves many purposes in the garden or in the home. It works great as a step stool in your laundry room or basement. When you're not using the seat for gardening tasks, you can turn it over and kneel on the pad underneath, or take the pad out of the seat altogether for even more convenience. The 3/4-inch-thick foam pad is textured and attaches to the bottom of the seat with two Velcro strips. The all-weather tan body is constructed of sturdy, rugged plastic, and there's an oval carrying hole in the top of the forest green seat. --Rhonda Langdon ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars OK but not as good as the Garden Rocker
THis is simply a bench.I was much happier with the Garden Rocker, which is ergonomically designed has a more comfortable seat, and tilts with the body.It is ingenious!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars great for big people, too
Because of bad knees and because she is a larger lady, my mom has trouble getting up when she is doing weeding.I was concerned that the kneeler might not be wide enough for her to kneel on, but she said that it's really great and that she's very pleased with it.She said that it will be great for doing floor cleaning, too.I definitely recommend it, especially for people who have trouble getting up from being on their knees working on things.

The Instant Marinater quickly marinates meats orvegetables, letting you off the hook when you want aflavorful meal but didn't plan ahead. To marinate meat, simply place it with the marinade inside the dish, close thelid tightly, insert the pump, and pull the air out. 2-0 out of 5 stars NOW you tell me!!!
Wished I'd read these reviews!I'd had mine for a year or two (loved it), when it violently imploded, spewing sticky Teriyaki marinade all over me, my kitchen and everything in it!Not fun.I emailed the U.S. division of Vacu Vin, they offered a refund of the suggested purchase price, and I sent the unit back to them. This model is no longer being made, as they are working on manufacturing a newer, larger model.Hopefully, it will be made sturdier and come with better user instructions and warnings!

1-0 out of 5 stars Be Careful!
I think some of the other reviews mentioned this, but pumping too much can cause this item to implode. It happened to me after the fourth or fifth time I used it.Now, up until this point it was a great item, and worked exactly as advertised, but for this thing not to have a simple safety valve built in is just silly.Or at least make the structure stronger.Me and the wife bought one of those vacumn sealer machines instead, and it works as well (if not better), and with greater versatility than the instant marinator. So save your money, and buy something else instead. =-(

5-0 out of 5 stars This thing ROCKS !!@#$%^
I was taking a cooking class at Viking Home Chef and the instructor usually mentions a kitchen tool or product that they are using for that day's class.Of course, they are trying to sell you product.

So, I was a bit skeptical about this thing...Now, I am a believer!I gilled some flank steak that I marinaded llast night for about 30 minutes using the Intant Marinader is AWESOME!It really does work very, very well.

The trick is to place the meat & marinade into the marinader and pump out the air and THEN RELEASE THE VACUUM(NEGATIVE PRESSURE).
By vaccuming out the all of air in the marinader (and the meat), you are actaully opening all the pores in the meat. And when you release the Vacuum pressure the meat immediately absorbs the marinade into the meat. Each time you pump AND RELEASE the air pressure is equal to about an hour of normal marinating time.

Last night, I pumped and relased six times(=6 hours of marinating) while the grill was heating up.Mmmm yummmay!

2-0 out of 5 stars Recommend a Panasonic over the Homedics in this case.
This massager doesn't have the weight or the pressure to make it a really great massage tool. I returned the one I bought & replaced it with a Panasonic. Much better. Homedics makes some good products, but this one's a bit light.

The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring (Platinum Series Special Extended Edition)

    Editorial Review

In every aspect, the extended-edition DVD of Peter Jackson's epic fantasy The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring blows away the theatrical-version DVD. No one who cares at all about the film should ever need to watch the original version again. Well, maybe the impatient and the squeamish will still prefer the theatrical version, because the extended edition makes a long film 30 minutes longer and there's a bit more violence (though both versions are rated PG-13). But the changes--sometimes whole scenes, sometimes merely a few seconds--make for a richer film. There's more of the spirit of J.R.R. Tolkien, embodied in more songs and a longer opening focusing on Hobbiton. There's more character development, and more background into what is to come in the two subsequent films, such as Galadriel's gifts to the Fellowship and Aragorn's burden of lineage. And some additions make more sense to the plot, or are merely worth seeing, such as the wood elves leaving Middle-earth or the view of Caras Galadhon (but sorry, there's still no Tom Bombadil). Extremely useful are the chapter menus that indicate which scenes are new or extended.

Of the four commentary tracks, the ones with the greatest general appeal are the one by Jackson and cowriters Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, and the one by 10 cast members, but the more technically oriented commentaries by the creative and production staff are also worth hearing. The bonus features (encompassing two complete DVDs) are far superior to the largely promotional materials included on the theatrical release, delving into such matters as script development, casting, and visual effects. The only drawback is that the film is now spread over two discs, with a somewhat abrupt break following the council at Rivendell, due to the storage capacity required for the longer running time, the added DTS ES 6.1 audio, and the commentary tracks. But that's a minor inconvenience. Whether in this four-disc set or in the collector's gift set (which adds Argonath bookends and a DVD of National Geographic Beyond the Movie: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring), the extended-edition DVD is the Fellowship DVD to rule them all. --David Horiuchi ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The best!
Its a wonderful movie, amazingly brought onto the screen without making much changes to the book version. Bringing a beautiful fantasy to something which you can watch is wonderful! I am proud to own all the 3 of the extended editions of the movie on dvds :-)
I say, it is a must to watch all the movies, appreciate the creativeness of the writer (Tolkien) and also the people who made it possible to be got onto the screen. I think it is the best trilogy which has ever been made and which will ever be made.

5-0 out of 5 stars Favorite movie i ever watched!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lord of the rings THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING is my favorie movie i ever watched. It is a cool action movie. I ecspecaly like the troll & the Belrog. I would also recomend reading the book first and you should watch the extended edition. This cool movie is 3 1/2 hours long (the extended editon) so make sure you have enough time before watching it. I personaly Wouldn't recomend it for children under 10 but it is your choice. or maybe children under tenif taking the scary parts uot. If you havn't seen it already go get it from your nearest movie store. Youl love it!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Its About Addiction
Lord of the Rings is not an epic struggle between "good" and "evil". That level of analysis is more appropriate for pop trash, such as Lucas' Star Wars.

Lord of the Rings is about addiction. Any addict, or anyone who works with addicts, will immediately recognize the ring's affect on its bearer as quite similar to the affect of serious addictive elements on the addict, such as that found in heroin addiction, alcohol addiction, or religion addiction. There are numerous parallels between the power of the ring and addictive behavior: the transformation that occurs in Bilbo, Frodo, Gollum and the Ringwraithes; the insipient, all-consuming desire to use the drug, but also the fear to do so; Frodo's desire to see Gollum restore to Smeagol, so that Frodo may hope to also return to a pre-addictive state; the inability to return to a pre-addictive state, as with Bilbo and Frodo; the overwhelming temptation to use, even among those who are cognizant of its terrible descrutive power, as with Galadriel and Gandalf; the development of multiple personalities, as with Gollum/Smeagol; the isolation of addiction, as with Gollum living alone in the depths of the Misty Mountains for countless years with his "precious"; the discarding of loved ones, as with Frodo to Sam or Smeagol to Deagol; the delusion of strength acquired by addictive usage, such as with Boromir and Faramir; the deterioration of perceived strength over time, and ultimate corruption of the soul, as with Gollum and the Wraithes. These are all highly correlated with serious addictions.

With this understanding of addiction in mind, it is a painful yet inspirational experience to view the epic journey that occurs in the three LOTR movies. So much is familiar. Even Frodo's and Bilbo's decision to accompany the elves across the waters to live out their days is indicative of a life that has been utterly and irreversibly changed due to past addiction - the addict is never really cured.

Thank you so much Peter Jackson, for bringing Tolkein's books to life. Now, how about The Hobbit?

    Editorial Review

Learn a new language with the award-winning method used by the U.S. State Department to train diplomats. Proven effective by NASA astronauts, Peace Corps volunteers, and millions of students worldwide, the Rosetta Stone Language Library teaches new languages faster and easier than ever before.

We all learn our childhood language by associating new words and phrases with the world around us. The Rosetta Stone method replicates this process by presenting vivid, real-life images to convey the meaning of each new phrase. Instead of translating, memorizing, and studying rules of grammar, you actually learn to think in the new language. Vocabulary and grammar are integrated systematically, leading to everyday proficiency.

The Rosetta Stone Level I program offers a comprehensive course of study for beginning learners, leading to intermediate proficiency. The program contains over 3,500 real-life images and phrases in 92 lessons and more than 250 hours of mastery instruction in listening comprehension, reading, speaking, and writing. Systematic structure teaches vocabulary and grammar naturally, without lists and drills. There are reviews, exercises, and tests for every lesson with automated tutorials throughout the program. 4-0 out of 5 stars The best product in the worst category
If you have your heart set on learning a language while sitting at the computer, then this is the best computer based language learning program there is. The competition in this genre is terrible. Rosetta Stone software is stable and usable. And it is the only program I've seen with a user interface that doesn't look like a children's book.

Having said that, I wouldn't recommend that anyone who is serious about learning a language use a computer program as a primary tool. Sure, you need a computer to load up your mp3 player and write to your foreign language speaking pen pal. But it takes some really serious determination to sit in front of a computer, night after night for hours learning Spanish. Don't set yourself up for failure.

Unless you are a very exceptional learner, you're going to have to practice for at least a half-hour every day. For me, that means fitting it into my lifestyle. I study while I'm driving, washing dishes, waiting in line, whenever. And I've been doing it for years. If I had to sit in front of a computer, it wouldn't have lasted a week.

If you still really want computer based language training, this is the best I've seen. I believe they've added a third level to the Spanish program which should make it more complete. The boxed edition is very pricey, but Rosetta Stone has an online version for which you can pay monthly. They also have sample lessons on the website.

I would recommend starting with an mp3 player and a good comprehensive audio course (Pimsleur or Platiquemos). Forget the computer programs, or use them as a supplement.

2-0 out of 5 stars All the work is in a little-used tense. What good is that?
Unfortunately this course uses the present progressive tense throughout, where as in real life, the present indicative is usually the tense most commonly used. The present progressive tense indicates that the action is in progress right now, e.g. I am eating (now), He is jumping (now). In Spanish the present progressive tense is quite restricted and is usually limited to what a person is doing RIGHT NOW.The present progressive is formed by conjuagting the appropriate ending of one verb, the verb estar, and adding the gerund of the appropritate verb. Some examples from the course might be: Los muchachos están saltando (The boys are jumping (right now); El niño está corriendo, (The boy is running) etc. It's kind of like the old Dick and Jane stuff. The point is, you get a lot of work with the verb "estar" and a lot of work with the gerund (the "ing" form )of other verbs, but little else. This is a cop out and it is not the way people speak.

The present indicative is much more versatile tense and is the most commonly used tense in the spanish language (The present progressive, on the other hand, is little used). The present indicative can be used just like the present progressive, it can be used to express the future (e.g. Voy mañana, I'm leaving tomorrow), it can be used to express a polite command (e.g. Me trae un cafe, por favor--bring me a coffee, please. In most instances this simple command form is considered much more polite than using the imperative mood (Me trae...is all you'll ever need in a restaurant). The present indicative tense refers to the specific now (as does the present progressive), but it also refers to the general now (these days, this time period, e.g., I live in the U.S.; I'm going to the store, I'm studying Spanish (This is a good example that shows clearly what I'm talking about--I'm studying Spanish now, yesterday and tomorrow--an ongoing "studying" of Spanish--Estudio español (present indicative) as opposed to estoy estudiando español--I've got the book open in front of me and that's what I'm doing at this very moment.

With this program you learn the endings to the verb estar, learn the gerund of a couple hundred verbs and bingo, you're talking spanish. It's easy--no learning all those separate endings for all those verbs, no learning irregular verbs, etc.The problem is, it ain't the way people talk. This is such an egregious error, it's so impractical, that I'm surprised they continue to sell the program without correcting the problem.Technically, I think the program is well done (except this is a windows based program without a minimize button--what's that about?) -- anyway, two stars for technical aspects --sound quality, pictures, etc.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful
This will not work for you as the first or only program for learning Spanish. It is great as a supplement to other methods of learning Spanish. The method is entirely intuitive - there is no English anywhere, so you may also want to have a dictionary and a grammar book.

I have found Rosetta Stone language programs most useful for reviewing the information I have learned elsewhere, for brushing up on languages I haven't used for a while, and for expanding vocabulary.

It may not be the best choice for total beginners, but you can learn a lot by associating words and expressions with the images and occasional mini videos.I do consider it definitely a worthwhile purchase.

5-0 out of 5 stars ¡Me gusta mucho este libro!
After I had read this book to my nieces and nephews, my nine-year-old nephew picked up "Corre, perro, corre" by P.D. Eastman and read it all the way through in English, including "me gusta," which he had not heard prior to hearing this book. Reading is a great language teacher!

I asked the kids why the main character's name is Juan Ramón instead of Sam, and my nephew said immediately, "Well, it has to rhyme with jamón, of course."

I had purchased this book for my students, but it was obvious I was going to have to get another for my nieces and nephews! At least I have no problem knowing what to get them for birthdays and Christmas gifts! (They certainly don't need any more toys!)

5-0 out of 5 stars You will hear it all day long!
I love this funny and musical version of the english favourite. My son loves it and can even finish the rhymes by now. Even my husband who does not speak spanish (yet!) loves repeating the simple sentences that make this book so much fun. A must in our family bed every morning, a great way to start the day!

5-0 out of 5 stars My Daughter?s Favorite!
This book became my daughter's favorite since the first time I read it to her. She's three and a half years old, and I have been reading this book to her at least twice a day since I got it, a week ago. The rhymes are beautiful and my daughter has memorized some of them, which she keeps repeating during the day. Excellent book! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Story for the Ages
My two sons absolutely loved this book. They liked the idea of going "where the wild things are" and the book inspired a lot of play in our house. The book nicely balances the child's need for imaginative thinking with a sense of limits, and the pleasures of home. The illustrations clearly make this book great, because they provide a launch pad for this imaginary place. This is one of a handful of books that will bond you with your child for the rest of your lives. Don't miss that opportunity!

Unlike some children's books which are a little boring for the adults to read after the 350th time, I always enjoyed this one because I could think new thoughts each time I read it.

I think this is one of the best five books for children.

5-0 out of 5 stars Spanish, Yes! English, Yes! French, NO!
I like this in English, LOVE it in Spanish and deplore the French translation.

The spanish moves along smoothly, neatly matching the english yet retaining enough of its own flavor so that it's not a painful literal translation of the original (see: Cat in the Hat for awful translation).

The french translation is so bad I couldn't get more than a few pages in before I lost it in crankiness. Results in a very different feel/flow.

5-0 out of 5 stars As a kid, I loved it!
I have the English version, but I love this book! The story line is cute, and the artistry is spectacular!! It makes you feel that even though you may be small as a child, you can be as big as a monster!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Book
This is a powerful and beautiful retelling of this story. This book is written in Spanish and in English and anyone interested in Latino storytelling will buy this book for their collection.I also highly recommend DRUM, CHAVI, DRUM! by Cuban author, Mayra L. Dole, and TRINOS CHOICE, by Chicana author Diane Bertrand.

4-0 out of 5 stars beautiful story with strong female protagonist
Unlike the usual simpering heroine, Lucia is strong, mysterious, natural, and good.Children who are different from others--foreign, language difficulty, intelligence higher or lower--will appreciate how this stranger bounced back from hurt.

5-0 out of 5 stars A beautiful tale of forgiveness and respect
This retelling of the Legend of Lucia Zenteno is beautifully illustrated with vibrant colors and imagination. The text is given in English and Spanish. It is the story of Lucia who has the most beautiful long hair. Itis so beautiful that the river that runs throught the town falls in lovewith her, and when the people of the town, because of their fear, drive heraway, the river and all its inhabitants leave with her. The town has tolearn humility and they try to get her to return. A wonderful book with astrong female hero. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for Beginners
Excellent reader for beginners. It is broken in to "tense" sections, i.e. present tense, past, subjunctive, etc. I read it outloud with my tutor and it is very helpful.I would highly recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent first reader with a literary bent
Classy and elegant are the first words that come to mind upon going through the first few pages of this book.

The book is a selection of stories, or their portions, from the original literature, ranging from the medieval times to the first half of the 20th century, and covering both Spanish and Latin American authors. In addition, it has an occasional interlude consisting of a short poem or a selection of proverbs to tempt the neophite into further exploring the richness of the Spanish language. Being a dual-langage book, the english translation of a story appears on a facing page. I found the translation of varying utility in nailing down the nuances, but the glossary at the end of the book is quite good, so one can read without a separate dictionary at least on the first pass.

The book generally avoids the use of subjunctive and introduces the past tense only in the middle. I had thought that this would make the stories look emaciated, as is the case with a number of such readers I'd seen. Somehow, it does not happen with Flores' delightful volume; if anything, it drives the point home that verbs is not all there is to a language, rich vocabulary and phraseology are just as important, and Flores' selections definitely get across that aspect of the beauty and expressiveness of the Spanish language.

As you work through this reader, more likely than not, your motivation to keep going with your Spanish and, furthermore, to get familiar with its rich literature, will be reinforced tremendously. It will also encourage you to venture into unabridged novels and stories in Spanish sooner than you had thought possible.

Finally, an attractive price helps make it a real winner.

5-0 out of 5 stars an exotic and practical entry to spanish
Although there are some mistakes which my mexican tutor vigorously pointed out years ago (Cefiro doesn't mean zephyr in spanish or central america, or something like that),this is more than anything an entertaining book. "Why some people don't figure in the census" is just about as entertaining a short story as any american modernist could write in two pages and the surreal "the Switchman" gives the beginning reader a chance to see a creepy Kafka-like story in spooky, creative, poetic, spanish. Yet with respect especially toward this last story is that right in the middle of the book it stops being a beginners' book. I think that the second half of it should be read in english - depending on the persons' desire or time spent learning the lanuage,- andread in spanish months later: The latter half of the book contains relatively difficult stories with specific and scarcely used words.

Yet at the same time this is really the only good thing about these dual language books: - to reach real foreign literature by means of, in our case, English ; to think that by simply glancing over to the other page one can fool one's inherent english syntax into conjuring itself up as spanish. Will this yield a result?;- expecting the clarifaction of words and relatively obscure grammar(DISIMULAR- to overlook; LO DE MAIZ- the corn affair) which are not simple to suddenly become simple in a first readers' book for beginners is silly. But the stories! This is a fountainhead book one can always go back to for grammar and those words(horquilla - pitchfork, perito-expert, avena - oat) that aren't used daily and a glossary that can be easily found in a BINDING that two angry wrestlers contemplating the book as a wishbone would have trouble unlacing! This book would also, I imagine, help Germans or French who are forced into learning spanish as a third language refresh their memory by dint of the stories' inherent charm and wit.

I recall one story where a women is referred to as "lista" - at MY own slovenly and innocent first glance it was rendered only "smart" or "alive" , but after many rereadings the connotation "sly" reared its head and a simple parable, though yes only a parable, took on a more shrewd and teasing meaning. Any future student of spanish will be faced with false cognates and problems such as those addressed in this book, and yet it solves these problems without being irritating.

Theconnotations and simple double-meanings I have mentioned permeate the book, and I am sure the meanings of many -especially those of el guardigujas- will continue alluding me for some time to come.

This book should be given to all high school students harboring intentions to study spanish. It is nothing less than a linguistic phenomenon,- a jewel. ... Read more

      Editorial Review

This little 250-watt workhorse comes in handy when a full-size foodprocessor is unnecessary. The 3-cup work bowl is just right for making pesto ora salad dressing, and two receptacles in the lid have pinholes for one or twooils to stream into the bowl while the processor is blending a perfect emulsion. It's also ideal for chopping and grinding. Pressing the "chop" button deploysthe sharp edge of Cuisinart's patented reversible blade to chop onions, herbs,or bread crumbs. Pressing the "grind" button whirls the blade in the otherdirection so its blunt side can grind nuts, coffee beans, or cheese. Compact atjust 9 inches high and lightweight (it has a plastic body), the Mini Prep Pluscan be tucked away in a cabinet, and the little spatula accompanying it goesinto a drawer. It carries an 18-month warranty against defects. The plastic workbowl and lid are dishwasher-safe, but the stainless-steel blade should be handwashed to protect its edges. --Fred Brack ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Avoid food processors.
Call me a food snob, but I believe strongly in the right tool for the right job. And, sorry kids, the right tool is almost always a sharp knife and a little skill. There is no replacing that.

Slicing vedgies? Get yourself a mandoline. Chopping them instead? 8 inch chef's knife. Grinding cheese? That's what they make cheese graters for. You don't use a food processor for mixing, mincing or grinding either. Why? Simple. Consistency.

Your hands and your skill are your most valuable kitchen tools. When you work with your hands, all of your senses are in action to help ensure you get the best quailty end product. By tossing things into a processor and hitting a button, you take away virtually all the sensory feedback that helps you perfectly prepare good food every time. And consistency is the key to quality.

Are they useless? No. I use mine for making breadcrumbs or a half dozen other applications in which the end result is a powder or puree (except, really, I prefer a blender for pureeing. The cyclonic action of a blender leads to better results, in my experience). But to think that this will slice, chop, grate, grind, mince or mix on par with what your hands and a sharp blade will do, is simply mistaken. Will it do it fast? Sure. Do you have to have skill to use this? Nope. But quality is more important than convienence, and skill will always produce better results than any gadget.

Also, I agree with what some other reviewers have said, this peticular model is much too small for most serious applications. It's pretty, though. That counts for something.

So, I guess, if you MUST have a food processor, this one will do the job. But please don't over-use it.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you buy one appliance, buy this
I read the reviews from others before buying the product--disregard the bad reviews about things turning to mush. The only way things turn to mush is if you hold the chop button down. If you do quick pulses, you get exactly what you want. This is the essential appliance because it helps to do exactly what the name says--prep. Often after coming home late I want to make a meal, but the thought of chopping onions, garlic or veggies seems daunting. Not with the mini-prep. It saves so much time.Plus I use fresh ingredients more often. I am completely happy with this product.

3-0 out of 5 stars Works great, but way too small
The processor worked great but was much smaller than I anticipated. In making hummus was only able to process 1/2 can of garbanzo beans at a time. When processing the beans, the motor seemed to slow down appreciably (this was relieved by adding more olive oil to the mixture). Like I said, works fine but was much smaller than I thought it would be so it's hard to scrape out the bowl without taking off the blade assembly. Would be fine for smaller batches, like garlic puree. ... Read more
