A brilliant tool and a tip how to clean it
This brush is brilliant. It doesn't ruin your grate like other steel brushes does (this one is not made of steel/iron). So it'll save you the frustration of buying a new grate because the other rusts.

Heres a tip on how to clean it. Mix a bowl of warm water with wash machine soap or a tab. Leave the head of the brush in the water overnight and behold - almost as good as new. Over time the wood/handle near the head will lose its protection, but rather that than an ugly brush :-)

Perfect gift at a great price

Can't complain! it's a great grill brush!
Before, when I went to buy a new brush I would always get the cheapies; I thought they were all the same, except some came in plastic while others came in wood or aluminum. I was wrong. You do get what you pay for when buying a grill brush, so buy this one! The bristles are stiff enough to clean up all the grit, yet soft enough to not damage your grate. Easy to use, fast, and environmentally-friendly
I have owned this Weber Chimney Starter for about six years and have never regretted the purchase.I am a year-round griller and have probably used it at least 300 times.I can only recall about a 1% failure rate in getting the Kingsford charcoal briquettes started on the first try.

I usually use 2½ sheets of newspaper and drop a few small scraps of wood in the bottom as insurance.I also see this as an environmentally-friendly alternative to petrochemical lighter fluid or the nasty-tasting Match-Light impregnated briquettes.It usually takes 12-15 minutes for a full load of briquettes to be ready for cooking.After cooking, I close all the vents which will smother the fire and extinguish the briquettes.What briquettes are leftover are reused on the next occasion.

After all this time and use, the wire which makes-up the bottom rack is getting very thin -- the intense heat is taking its toll.If I cannot repair it, I will replace it with an identical model.This is a very good product!

The Most Amazing Fire Starter!
This is the most amazing fire starter my wife and I have ever used.Two pieces of paper rolled up in the bottom, 1 match, and 15 minutes later, hot grills.We have gone through electric starters (5 - at least one a year) and they are poor in comparison to this.

A most essential item for grilling/smoking
I had been using regular work gloves to load/unload my smoker. It was tricky and hazardous at best. I came upon this product while searching for grilling accessories and decided to give it a shot. They are absolutely perfect for handling anything hot for anywhere up to 2-3 minutes or so. The top of the gloves extend out and halfway up the forearm, so no more burned arm hairs! The fingers are very flexible and allow you to grip any kind of grilling tool or even handle the hot food itself without a problem. They have proven to be very durable also, as I use them at least once or twice a week

Great for BBQ Smoker
I purchased these for my Smoker on recommendations of other reviewers and I do not regret having these. They are comfortable and excellent to use. I though wearing gloves would be terrible in handling not only the Smoker but the food, the tools, etc. Was I wrong! I am so glad that I finally have stopped myself from being burned .. LOL

Learn from a master
You can buy lots of books on how to cook barbeque, but very few from accomplished masters such as Paul Kirk.Only two things surpass his ego in this book:His willingness to share some great recipes and insights, and his recipes themselves.

Pretty much every sauce, marinade, and relish I tried from this book turned out great.It's no surprise to me that Paul Kirk is so accomplished with several bold and unique recipes.Don't miss the orange-chile marinade, which he used to win a barbeque contest in Ireland.

I should mention that the book has a strong Kansas City-style slant to the barbeque, although Paul Kirk does make an effort to include different regional styles.

In addition to the recipes, Kirk provides "Master Classes" on barbeque sauces, rubs, and marinades.I took this opportunity to develop my special secret rub with secret spices reflecting my partly Greek heritage.Following Kirk's "Master Class" on rubs, I concocted a rub that I hoped would create gold in my Weber kettle.Have I developed a killer rub to take the barbeque contest circuit by storm?Well, probably not, but it was fun giving it a whirl, and if I say so myself, the results were pretty good.

But if you ask me, most of the fun of barbequing is coming up with secret recipes, and putting your own stamp on things, and Paul Kirk has got me going.

Excellent and indispensable!
This great little book covers every aspect of preparation for barbeque.If you think barbeque is nothing more than tossing a few burgers on the grill, this book will open up for you a myriad of possibilities.Even experienced cooks can find plenty of good suggestions from which they can develop their own rubs, sauces & mops.I have the most fun putting together my own recipes based on his suggestions.If you aren't interested in devoting that much energy to perfecting your slow-cooking, stick with the recipes, which display an impressive variety.It doesn't hurt that this book is extremely affordable.I cannot recommend it enough.

Your First BBQ book to purchase!
I purchased my first smoker a few months ago but given the weather in Montreal I only started to use it last week, finally. I purchased this book on recommendations from others on this site and do not regret it at all! I have made several sauces and rubs and they are outstanding! I also had to go and purchase many of the ingredients that I did not have which took a while and at 5 different stores. I went through the book and made a list and after spending over 100.00 I had a complete collection of items I never had or heard of! Desperately Needs an Editor
The author may be a great cook but you'll have no chance of emulating him using this book. Whole sections are completely incoherent. Recipes are mostly impossible to follow.A recipe will have a list of ingredients -- some of which never show up again in the process.
I've been cooking for a long time and don't need to have my hand held but this is by far the worst cookbook I've ever seen. I can't believe it ever got into print. That I had to pay for it only adds to the insult.

I learned alot about backyard amoking from the BBQ information in the book. Being a first time smoker, I found the recipes to work quite well. I love the rubs and sauces in this book. Three Complaints
These skewers do a good job of preventing food from rotating while on the grill; however, I have three complaints.

1) Flimsy. I was expecting them to be sturdier. Each prong wiggled a bit too much for my taste. It made the food a little bit harder to put on the skewer. I guess the trade-off is that Weber wanted the skewer to be lightweight. I think Weber should have made them a little heavier to make them a bit sturdier.

2) Rust. Make sure you handwash them. Not a huge amount of rust happens after putting them in the dishwasher---- but the rust is annoying.

3) Dull ends. There are no points at the end of the skewer. Pointy ends would make it easier to put the food on.

Food doesn't spin, and they're lightweight. I give them 3 stars.

It works but not the greatest
I bought the skewers because the price was reasonable and that it was from Weber. Unfortunately, the quality isn't what Weber used to be - dependable and long lasting. Although it claims that it's dishwasher safe, the skewers came out rusted and discolored. I suggest hand washing them. Look at other choices before buying this one.

Great Invention!
I am so tired of slippery food sliding off skewers when you try to turn them over! These double-pronged skewers really work at keeping food on the skewers, and even better, from sliding around when you try to turn them over. I must have looked pretty funny in the past trying turn shrimp over to cook on the other side while they twirled around and around the skewer, always with the cooked side down! But no more! I always hand-wash skewers anyway, so have had no rust problems. ... Read more

They should not have been able to put the Weber Name on this
I was very disappointed with these products. Not well made and not user friendly.

Weber should be ashamed they put their good name on this product.

Nice product, bad price
I got this set a year or two ago on sale at Home Depot for a clearance price of $5.Mostly, I use the tongs because they do the work of tongs and spatula thanks to the unique mini spatula shapes.The big spatula is fine, and the fork, but the tongs are most useful, so I usually skip the other two.It's a great value at a $5 price, but there's no way I'd pay $35, especially since I use mostly one tool.If I paid that much, I'd want some extras like basting brushes or a grill rack for vegetables or fish. Shop around.

Not what I expected, or worth the price
While Weber is a trustworthy name in grilling, I would definitely not recommend this tool set.The set appears to be very cheaply made - the handles are entirely wood, unsupported by any stainless steel in the actual handle.The stainless steel working end did not appear to be heavy duty, and where it connects to the wooden handle will be very difficult to clean.There definitely are significantly better tools on the market for a much better price.I gave this as a gift to my husband and was very dissapointed in the quality. ...
