Love, Love, Love It!
I had seen this on cooking shows and wasn't sure it would work.I got one for a Christmas gift and have since purchased another so I always have one handy.I love this liner.I bake on it all the time and wouldn't go back to cooking spray or parchment.

I agree that this is a great product
My first experience with a silicone mat was nothing short of a revelation, so I went on a mission to see if the several brands available offered anything the others lacked. In my opinion, this one performs as well as the others that I have used (which is to say it's fantastic). I use them for pastry, cookies, and any other baking that normally threatens me with over baked bottom sides, and breakage due to sticking. I have not used them for candy, but sugar that has fallen from cookies, and carmalized on it's surface doesn't stick in the least. This is a great product.

For roasts, I use a roasting pan. I like to make my own gravy, and I don't see how a silicone liner would help the process.

For pizza, I use an air core pizza pan that is riddled with holes to ensure a crisp crust by allowing moisture to escape rather than turning the bottom of the pie into mush. The same holds true for reheating a pizza. To put a silicone pad between a pizza and the heat source is inviting pizza disaster.

I suspect the bad review was due to a combination of operator error and misunderstanding of cooking concepts, rather than a defective product.

These things rock
The previous reviewer seemed to have mistaken a baking mat - replaces parchment paper or grease on a baking sheet - with a baking sheet.What it does is provide a surface to which almost no baked products adhere.Why you'd do a roast or pizza on top of it is beyond me.I've used it for cookies, various candied desserts, and a number of things where you'd otherwise have to line or grease the baking pan.In each case it performed superbly.It's also incredibly easy to clean (unless, apparently, you do something ridiculous like puncture it). ... Wayyyy cute!
While I agree that the pan isn't very non-stick, after some testing, I pressed the regular round paper liners into the heart shape.I didn't overfill the muffin cups, and they were TOTALLY cute!They were a big hit at both the preschool and the office.They're a little smaller, so a regular 24 cupcake recipe makes more like 32 extremely cute cupcakes.I have 2 pans, am thinking of getting 2 more to speed the baking.

NOT Non-stick
The very first set of muffins I made in this pan stuck horribly.I ended up with half of each muffin stuck in the pan.For cookware that claims to have a non-stick surface this was less than impressive.I received this pan as a Christmas gift (and it took over six weeks to finally arrive) and I am highly disappointed

Gorgeous, cute, but...
The red is rich and gorgeous, the muffins produced are cute as anything.But they are pretty small, larger than mini-muffins, but smaller than any other muffin I have ever seen.Also, this silicone seems thinner than other pans I have and just a bit less "non-stick."It makes for easier folding, but also distorts the muffins a bit when you remove them from the pan.My grandkids LOVE the little muffins. ... Works well as can be expected....
These mats work very well....but lets be reasonable. They are not indestructable. If they were any harder they would prob dull your knives...and they would get negative reviews. Just use a bit of common sense...people :)

These really work.....
I was looking for a flexible cutting board that I could pick up, bend, and dump my chopped whatever into the pan.These boards deliver with one small challenge:not all the stuff comes off, so you are left with vegis stuck to the boards and have to scape them off or tap the board on the side of the pan.Not a biggy, really.I like that I can whip one out of the cupboard and slap it down on the counter and make sandwiches on it without having to worry about whether the counter is dirty....we live in a very dusty, sooty city.They are non-skid, which is perfect.They are much easier to handle than my oversized wooden cutting board or my plastic cutting board that I have to put a non-skid pad down for before I use.

They are very thin, sort of like the Tupperware roll-up pastry board.They do show cut marks from the first, but so does any cutting board!I own Henkel knives, both serrated and straight edge, and am not at all concerned about cutting through them.I certainly wouldn't use a meat cleaver with excessive force on one though!

The color coding is pretty.. but I don't pay attention..I use all four for everything.It's nice not to have to wash a cutting board in between steps, that's for sure.Cut/chop your meat, place the board aside and grab another board.Cut chop your vegis, place the board aside, grab another, slice your bread, and so on.

They clean up well and fit in any sink...because they're flexible! :)

My kids also use them for playdough!They will pick up the playdough scent, so dedicate one to just that!

ruined my cake
i own many kitchenaid appliances and love the brand. i even own a silicone muffin pan which i love. this pan, however, is terrible. the cake did not bake completely and i had a terrible time trying to get it out of the pan. (yes, i sprayed the pan effectively.) do not waste your money! stick to the metal pans.

Stick With Metal Pans
This is a beautiful blue color, coordinates with my kitchen. However, I'll bake my poundcakes in my old, reliable metal pans. I tried to use this a few times, spraying every nook and cranny with Baker's Secret release spray. Without fail, each time the cake stuck to the pan in a few places.

Disappointing
Although the SiliconeZone products are generally good at what they do, this product has two major limitation. Cakes become very flat on the top, or even take on the shape of the oven rack, because the weight of the cake presses down on the bottom of the pan (which becomes the top of the cake). Although the makers of this pan talk about the even heat conduction of silicone, any baked goods prepared in silicone pans won't brown--or cook--nearly as well as anything prepared in a metal pan.

For this price, you can get a heavy-duty nonstick metal Bundt pan that will serve you much better. ... Read more

Get the regular "roll" kind instead
I bought one of these from Macy's a while ago.Since it's a little cheaper than the other roll type (looks like a toilet paper cardboard tube), I thought I'd give it a try.I had two heads of garlic to peel, and I tried to use this garlic peeler to shuck cloves.It really didn't do anything, didn't matter how many cloves were in the ball at a time.

The way these are supposed to work is that the rubber surface has enough friction to get the garlic peel to stick to it - you do have to roll it on a flat surface in order to crack the peel from the garlic.Unfortunately, because this peeler is round and a little too big, it can't generate enough friction to actually take off the peel.Perhaps this one is supposed to be used differently, but you can't figure that out from the instructions.

Pros: neat looking design, kinda fun to play with, easy to clean (rinse with water)
Cons: doesn't peel garlic, instructions not helpful

Doesn't work that well...
I use a lot of garlic for cooking and I've been wanting a peeler. I was disappointed that this peeler did not really get the peel off. Save a couple bucks- just pop your garlic cloves in the microwave for 10 seconds. Peel comes off easy!

2003 Housewares Show, Best Product of the Year
This seems like the same basic idea as the Zak Designs E-Z-Roll Garlic Peeler, same company, so duh!But this one is cute in design.It looks as though the cloves will not roll out of the bulb as you are peeling the cloves.The E-Roll looks like the cloves may roll out.This little beauty was also named one of the best products of the year at 2003 Housewares Show, which gives memore reason to want to try it and give it a FULL rating.But speaking as one who has peeled much garlic and had the smell on my hands for days, thiese rollers both seem like one of those "Why did I not think of that" ideas. ... Easy to wash!
I've tried 2 casseroles in the silicone pan and the food cooked more quickly than glass bakeware plus it was so easy to clean. The silicone doesn't hold odors or leave stains. It has taken me only a few minutes to clean the pan vs. 15 minutes to scrub glassware with baked on sauces.. and I did use cooking spray.

Doesn't work for cake
I have made three cakes in this pan and there is no way to get the center of the cake done without burning the edges.Things do bake faster, but the edges are done long before the center, and the net result is a partly ruined cake, whether you go for a done center or perfect edges.

It is a beautiful pan, but it still requires nonstick spray coating to be easily cleaned.For cake, it's back to the metal and glass pans I've been using for the past decade or more. ... Read more

Pot Holder? No!
Bought this thinking "what a clever item" --cute shape plus could be used three ways.Trivet - yes!Jar opener - works well!Pot holder - NO! Product snaps back to flat shape unless gripped extremely firmly. Ended up dropping glass lid onto floor, narrowly missing my sandled foot.

Versatile and Functional!!
I bought this item on a whim and have fallen in love with it!It is nice to have items that multifunction - especially having limited storage space in a kitchen like mine.This is a perfect three-in-one item that does it all.Typically it seems that you loose some level of function with a multitasking took but not with this!It does it all well and is even stain resistant.I spilled spaghetti sauce on it last week (I could immediately see the stain marks) - all it took was one quick rinse and it was brand new!Definately a great tool to keep handy!

Not A Trivial Trivet
I was sort of skeptical when I ordered this product since it's supposed to be so versatile. It actually works! :-) It is the first potholder I've ever found that actually keeps my hands from feeling the heat. Regular potholders always leave me hopping trying to get the pan out of the oven and down before I get a blister. This thing works great. It also is totally non slip and that is a lifesaver. Pot Holder? No!
Bought this thinking "what a clever item" --cute shape plus could be used three ways.Trivet - yes!Jar opener - works well!Pot holder - NO! Product snaps back to flat shape unless gripped extremely firmly. Ended up dropping glass lid onto floor, narrowly missing my sandled foot.

Versatile and Functional!!
I bought this item on a whim and have fallen in love with it!It is nice to have items that multifunction - especially having limited storage space in a kitchen like mine.This is a perfect three-in-one item that does it all.Typically it seems that you loose some level of function with a multitasking took but not with this!It does it all well and is even stain resistant.I spilled spaghetti sauce on it last week (I could immediately see the stain marks) - all it took was one quick rinse and it was brand new!Definately a great tool to keep handy!

Not A Trivial Trivet
I was sort of skeptical when I ordered this product since it's supposed to be so versatile. It actually works! :-) It is the first potholder I've ever found that actually keeps my hands from feeling the heat. Regular potholders always leave me hopping trying to get the pan out of the oven and down before I get a blister. This thing works great. It also is totally non slip and that is a lifesaver. The only thing I didn't like was they have these little "envelopes" to stick your fingers in on the back. That didn't work for me so I just grab it and it works fine. ... Read more
