1-0 out of 5 stars It's a hot one!
Instructions clearly say to use no higher than 40 watt lightbulbs. However, this lamp gets very, very hot when using only 40 watts.Plus, you don't get much light from a 40 watt lightbulb!I do not recommend this products for a child's room. Our 4 year old tried to adjust the light for his activity and burned his little fingers.Lamp is now is the garage.

2-0 out of 5 stars OK
This lamp did smell like burning plastic all the time even with the proper light bulb watt. The lamp only lasted approx. 6 mths. (occassional use) before constantly burning out all of the lightbulbs instantly. Not a terrific buy for the money.

1-0 out of 5 stars Good Looking but Dangerous
One of the new light bulbs that we put in actually overheated and exploded after a few uses. This item should be recalled. ... Read more

If you are looking for a compact refrigerator to keep food cold then don't buy this one. Temp only gets down to 48... not cold enough.

1-0 out of 5 stars two came and went
We ordered this for a spare fridge and it would be a great size, but the first on came and it was damaged. It looked like it had been dropped. Then I called Target. They did great taking care of getting us another on. Only the second came today and it was also dropped from a truck. The back was dented and it was already rusting. so I think we will try some where else for this item.

Jensen JF25 Stereo Headphones
Average Customer Review: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Electronics
list price: $24.99 -- our price: $13.29
(price subject to change: see help)

Editorial Review

Jensen's JF25 Stereo Headphones are a rare treat--comfortable headphones that are as pleasing to the ears as they are to the head. With clear, open highs and full, deep bass, the JF25s will render your favorite music with authority and verve.

The Jensen JF25 Headphones' ear-fitting drivers, light weight, and self-adjusting headband ensure comfort and ease of listening. Both speaker leads travel in a single wire stemming from the left earcup, minimizing knotting and allowing freer movement during use.

A clippable level-control mechanism (up, down, or mute) obviates the need for immediate access to your listening device, letting you tuck your portable cassette, MiniDisc, CD, or MP3 player into a backpack, purse, or pocket. We found the volume control inconvenient. The knob is hard to access and the mute control button needs to be pressed continuously, instead of being a simple instant-kill switch.

While Jensen reports a 20 to 20,000 Hz frequency range for the JF25s, it does not state the variances from "flat" along this range. Expect some suck-out in the midrange, and slight bloatedness in the bass (the usual sacrifices for headphones commanding low-frequency tonal response). But overall the sound is good, with strong bass and clear, non-abrasive treble.

An included 1/4-inch adapter fosters listening from component audio sources such as integrated amplifiers, CD players, and some DVD machines.

Pros:

• Good, full-range sound
• Comfortable
• Lifetime warranty

Cons:

• Trackball volume control hard to use
• Slightly bloated bass

5-0 out of 5 stars there grrrreat
they are so good i bought 2! one for me and one for my friend. they sound good and they are very comfortable, and affortable.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great sound and value, but hurts my ears
Pros:
- Great sound (for its class)
- Nice long cord (not to short, not too long)

Cons:
- It feels like my ears are going to fall off after wearing them for thirty minutes.

If comfort is no issue, then these are the best cheap headphones around.

3-0 out of 5 stars Mediocre headphones
Although these headphones work well as far as headphones go, they are more cumbersome than comparable varieties and they have an extraordinarily long cord, making storage and even usage very difficult. Additionally, one of the adjustment rods broke soon after purchase, making wear fairly uncomfortable. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, very sturdy
This is a very nice product, set up immediately, just take it out of box, the wood is very nice, looks like birch. Compliments my daughter's room nicely.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value In A Book Shelf
This is one great book shelf. I purchased it on Amazon about one and a half years ago. It is easy to assemble as it simply unfolds - it is so well designed. It has four sturdy & durable shelves with a back bar for each shelf. It is made of finished natural wood with a clear polish. It is not too wide so it can fit in kitchens, college dorms and other smaller places.

As soon as the book shelf arrived at my door in about one week I put it together in 5 minutes. I just loved it and wanted to get more. But it was sold out. I liked it so much that I looked all over the web to find another one. However, there was not one to be found anywhere. Now I just noticed that the same item which I liked so much is available again on Amazon at the same affordable price of $49.99. Be sure to get one before they sell out again. I guarantee you that they will sell out quickly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Solid, useful furniture
We bought one of these a couple of months ago. It folds down nicely if you move alot (like a dorm room, etc.), but it also looks good long-term.

Solid wood, clean lines, sturdy. Editorial Review

This pitcher combines Brita's reliable filtering with a very convenient narrow shape and flip-top lid for easy refills. To operate, simply flip the lid and fill the water reservoir, then wait a couple of minutes for it to filter through. The filter used with this system has been certified by NSF International, a testing authority for water filtration products, and reduces copper and eliminates 99% of lead in tap water. Using activated carbon as well as an ion exchange resin, it also reduces chlorine, bad tastes, odors, and sediment--making it a lot easier to drinkthe recommended eight glasses of water a day. It comes with one filter, lasting approximately two months, and the pitcher is clear with a white top. --Maria Dolan ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars nifty
This is such a cool gadget! You just fill the top with water, and it does the rest for you. The water isn't quite superior to bottled water, but even the nastiest tap water is transformed when filtered this way, and you do eventually become accustomed to the taste.

Considering how much money this will save you on bottled water, it's definitely worth the small splurge. Even though I got mine at a thrift store for three bucks, but still.

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE BRITA!
I am a water FANATIC.. and I have to have water that tastes good since it is the main liquid I drink. Brita is way less expensive than buying bottled water, and as another reviewer said.. the plastic bottles can sometime contaminate the water they hold. BRITA filters out some of those contaminates. Besides all that, BRITA water tastes great. I give it 5 stars, and hope that you like it as much as I do.It does fill slow, and when its gone, you have to fill it up, and wait for it to get cold.. and that can take forever. I have one room-mate, and between he and I the pitcher was always empty. So if you are going to get one, get one that holds alot of water.. you will not be sorry. And if you are worried about cost, think about how much you spend onfor bottled water. I was drinking about 4 a week and then some.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good alternative
This is a good alternative but has its drawbacks.I think a britta sink/faucet model would be more convenient but my faucet is not set up for one.The water from this pitcher tastes very good and I use it for my coffee which allows me to not buy filters for the pot...however....a full pitcher is just under a full pot of coffee and the refilling of the britta is very slow. (The re-fill rate seems to decrease as the filter gets older) Something to consider if you will be bringing the pitcher to the dinner table for a family...You really cant pour it till its done filtering. The filters are fairly expensive but less than buying bottled water.I also findthe pitcher to be a bit heavy and the lid delicate. altho it has not broken i can see that that might be a problem...This is a good alternative to a faucet model or bottled water but it isnt without its drawbacks. ... I'm having the same problem that another review indicated, when burning large mpeg's (larger than 659 MB) i'm getting consistent data redundancy check errors.

1-0 out of 5 stars Questionable Quality
I put large video files on them.About 1 in 5 discs fail after

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this thing!!
I really enjoy this fan a lot more than the other ones I've owned in the past.I just really like the way it pushes the stale air around the room and it's very silent at the same time.On the highest setting, however, it can be kind of loud. But it's good for white noise if it helps you sleep.I'm truly a believer now in these fans.I used to be too cheap to shell out the extra money but it was on sale for $40 so I snatched it.I'll always buy Voronado now!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great fan
I've experimented with box fans and oscillating fans, but never found anything that compares to this compact powerhouse. It doesn't produce a blast of air that's irritating.Instead, it quietly moves an ample amount of air in a fashion that doesn't blow you away, or the items on your desk or table. It's well worth the extra money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful little fan
I agree with so many others...it's small, quiet, well-designed, sturdily built, and a real powerhouse of a fan. The only thing I don't like about it is that the on/off switch for the three settings goes from Hi-Med-Lo instead of Lo-Med-Hi. I rarely have to put it on anything but low, so I have to turn it through all the settings to get there, then back through all the settings to turn it off. Other than that, I really do love this fan. It's truly quiet and soothing; when I have it on across the room from me (I have a bedroom/office arrangement in an 8x20 space), I don't even hear it over my computer's whir, but it's moving plenty of air.

Of course, a sleep-breeze cycle and a remote would be fine additions, but then we wouldn't be talking about a $49.99 fan!

2-0 out of 5 stars Fiestaware 1 qt pasta bowls....I got what I paid for!
While seeing this pasta bowl on sale for $4.99 here at Amazon.com, I didn't think twice to purchase several of them will all kind of color availalbe 2 weeks ago. What a great price! I was so excited and waiting on the door on the schedule delivery day. The packing is nice and secure. The color was so vivid at the first sight, but.... after I took a hard look, almost half of the bowls are defective!! Un-colored white spot, un-glazed bubble holes, black dots/stain inside of the bowl. Even defective spots are tiny, but they are so obvious. They just don't look good with those flaws on them! I was so....disappointed and frustrated as I went through all the 21 bowls I ordered. By the way, the BLACK bowl have no name or mark of the manufacturer on the bottom of the bowl. I will say those are probably the factory-secondary products. It turned out I have to return almost half of the bowls and keep those bowls with bearable defectiveness, such as vague stamp of the manufacturer on the bottom of the bowls. Of course, all the black ones are returned since they are no-name with the bad quality. No one will even believe they are Fiestaware!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Daily use kettle flips its lid
I purchaed this kettle for my mother. She said the lid would not fit the kettle. (She had tried to fit it on backwards.
Not sure why). I tried hers for instant coffee and thought it a great kettle. I purchased my own over a year ago and I use it
EVERY day! It's never failed to shut off and it boils the water VERY quickly (I seldom use more than two cups of water).

Why anyone would use it without water in it, is beyond
my comprehension).(See different review). I highly recommend this kettle.

Good Product.

4-0 out of 5 stars awful lid but it boils great
I have owned this for a year now and it does boil water very fast and i love having hot water on hand all the time because I make a lot of bread. I however hate the lid. You have to pull it off to fill the pot and it pours way to slow so you have to pull it off to pour hot water. The lid does not come off easy and when you finally get it to yank off you splatter boiling water on yourself and the counter. I bought the Philips HD4651 for my mother and I wish I had gotten the same one. I highly reccommend the Philips over this one because it has all the same great features plus it has an easy open hinge up lid and a bell goes off when it boils plus it has a filter. She used mine and agreed the Philips is a much better design at the same price! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars very stylish and soft!
This is a very decent CD wallet. It is made of nylon. The sides are not hard (though paddled), and this "makes" it smaller. The red-gray-black design is not boring black, at the same time it is not flashy. I also like the style of zippers. The carrying handle is just a sterdy strap, which is also nice. Get it! ... Canon PowerShot S200 2MP Digital ELPH Camera w/2x Optical Zoom
Average Customer Review: 4.5 out of 5 stars
Electronics
list price: $379.99
US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France

Editorial Review

Inch for inch and ounce for ounce, Canon's PowerShot S200 Digital Elphpacks more power into less space than virtually any other digital camera, stuffing a feature-packed, 2-megapixel camera with 2x optical zoom into adiminutive brushed-metal case that slips easily into a purse or pocket.

Resolution
Like last year's S110, the S200 features a 2-megapixel sensor for sharp printsat sizes up to 8 by 10 inches. With cameras of up to 5 megapixels now on themarket, some enthusiasts were hoping the Elph would makethe jump to 3 megapixels, but it appears that Canon still believes 2 megapixelsremains the best balance between performance and price for most consumers. Wetend to agree. If you regularly print your photos at sizes larger than 8 by 10inches, you'll probably want a camera with higher resolution and more manual controls than the Elphoffers--we recommend Canon's 3-megapixel S30 or 4-megapixel S40.

Optics
A 2x optical zoom lens (35-70mm equivalent) aids in photo composition, and anadditional 2.5x digital zoom (5x total) further magnifies your image. Remember, however, that digital zoom reduces the sharpness and detail of your image, soit's best used sparingly. Two systems help ensure your pictures will beperfectly focused, even in challenging conditions: a multizone autofocus workseven when the subject of your photo isn't in the center of the scene, and inlow-light situations (a particular weakness of many digital cameras), afocus-assist lamp sends out a small patterned beam to help the camera accuratelydetermine distance. If you're hoping for a more powerful zoom, the S330 Elph hasa 3x zoom and slightly larger dimensions but is otherwise nearly identical.

More Features
Though it's primarily designed as a point-and-shoot, the S200 includes severaladvanced features for photographers who want more creative control, includingexposure compensation, low-light manual shutter speeds, manual ISO and whitebalance, and stitch assist, plus black-and-white, sepia, vivid, and neutralmodes.

A movie mode captures video clips with sound. Depending upon resolution, theseclips can last from 2 to 60 seconds. The limited length and resolution of theseclips guarantees that this feature won't replace your camcorder, but it'sperfect for when you just want to capture a quick movie and e-mail it to afriend or relative. In addition, you can add up to 60 seconds of audio to eachstill picture you take.

Power
The S200 uses a proprietary lithium-ion rechargeable battery, and both thebattery and the charger are included. Though the new NB-1LH looks identical to(and is interchangeable with) the NB-1L batteries shipped with previous Elphmodels, the new battery holds 840 mAh of energy, a 23 percent increase. Becausethe battery is unique to the Elph cameras and can be nearly impossible to findwhen on the road, we strongly recommend getting a spare if you're planning totake the camera on extended outings.

Storage and Transfer
Images are stored on standard Type I CompactFlash cards. Consider the included 8MB card a starter capacity, since its 12-picture limit means you'll need toreturn to your computer often to transfer images and free up the card for morepictures. A 128 MB card is a great size for this camera, storing around 200images. To transfer images to your computer, simply attach the included USBcable between your PC and your camera. Your computer should automaticallyrecognize your camera and let you move the pictures to your hard drive.

Printing
Canon has introduced a series of printers designed to work directly with theS200. Using these printers, no computer is required--simply connect the camerato the printer and start printing. The CP-10 produces credit-card-sized prints, and the CP-100 makes 4-by-6-inch prints. Both use continuous-tone technology forresults that are indistinguishable from traditional photos. Of course, photosfrom your Elph can also be printed on any home computer system with an inkjetprinter, sent off for online processing, or simply enjoyed on your computerscreen.

Size
At just 3.4 by 2.2 by 1.1 inches and 6.3 ounces, the S200 is even smaller thanits predecessor, making it one of the smallest zoom digital cameras on themarket.

Contents and Recommended Accessories
The package includes the S200 camera, NB-1LH battery with CB-2LS charger, AV andUSB cables, wrist strap, software suite, and 8 MB memory card.

Everything you need to get started is included in the box, but we stronglyrecommend the addition of a larger memory card (a 128 MB card holds around 200images), a spare NB-1L battery, and a compact carrying case (to protect thebrushed-metal finish and keep pocket lint out of the viewfinder). --ShaneBurnett

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE my little Elph!!!!!!!!
Well, it's been over 3 years since I had it and I love it!!! It's just awesome! It's tiny, the battery life is great, the pictures are wonderful, LOTS of features. The ONLY thing is when you're using flash, it's a little slow. I was impressed with Canon and purchased a bigger SLR Digital Rebel for my "big projects" :) But the little Elph is still my #1 point and shoot!

5-0 out of 5 stars Point and shoot that fits in your pocket
A really great camera that just slips into your pocket. Great to carry around all the time so you can take shots of whatever takes your fancy. Easy to recharge too with its handy battery recharger.

4-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful little camera!
I've had this camera for a little over a year and a half now and I just love it.It's really small, which is a huge plus.Because of the small size, it's very convenient to take with you and that means you end up taking more pictures than you normally would.I've chronicled most of the little and big events I have gone to with it.Even though it's just 2 megapixels, that is more than adequate for me--I don't rely on it for professional shots, just mostly snapshots.I have printed some photos through shutterfly, and they came out looking great. You could tell that they weren't quite as sharp as those from a regular camera, but I had taken them at the medium compression setting. They were definitely framable though and you probably couldn't tell that they were digicam pics unless you inspected them close up.I suspect pics taken at superfine would be even better.Rendition of colors is truly remarkable, and I have received many compliments from friends on this.Canon sure does seems to know what they're doing when it comes to optics.Any photos I've taken with bright colors (landscapes, flowers, etc.) came out breathtaking. The camera is made of metal, so it has a nice, high quality "heft" to it.The photo management software that it comes with is awesome--intuitive and easy to use.It may run slow on old computers though, if you have a lot of photos in your albums.

One complaint I have about the camera is that it's just okay in dark settings, even with the flash on.Also, when taking pictures of people, I seem to get red-eye a lot, even with the red-eye reduction setting on.It takes small video clips, but the resolution is very grainy and with the 64 MB card that I have in it, the maximum length of the clips is really short.

Other than that, this is a terrific, dependable camera that's perfect for the beginning digicam user or for someone who wants the convenience of a small, easily transportable camera. It comes with a far too small 8MB card, so I highly recommend getting a larger one. Also, it doesn't come with a case, so I recommend buying one because this is a beautiful camera and you wouldn't want to damage it.Canon makes one specifically for the PowerShot series that is leather and compact. You can find it at Apple stores. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Blinding Whiteness
Is it possible to have teeth that are too white?
This may be the ticket!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great whitening power
I think it's hard to beat Colgate products. This one is no exception. It really cleans your mouth but if you're a tea drinker like me, you'll really see a difference in the color of your teeth after using this product. It is recommended by the ADA (watch out for those that are not i.e. Aquafresh) and has been around for years and years (they invented the first toothpaste "powder").I have awesome checkups which are without all that nasty scraping because of the tartar protection. It really does work and is well worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product Innovation
For years, Crest was the toothpaste of choice. It had a dominating market share, due in large part to the fact that Crest was the first toohpaste to obtain the ADA (American Dental Association) seal of approval.

The marketplace went through a seismic shift with the introduction of Colgate Total.Colgate proved once again that a market leader that grows complacent is vulnerable to an innovative competitor. The innovation: Triclosan, which actually makes your mouth fight bacteria longer and, more importantly, makes your mouth FEEL cleaner.

The 7.8 ounce version with "Plus Whitening" is a better value than the 6 ounce version. The Whitening element doesn't work as well as, say, Crest Whitening Strips; but it is better than nothing, and there is no significant price difference if you buy the version without "Plus Whitening."

This is a good product that shook the industry. ... Read more
